Money, corruption and the American Dream. Two 20-somethings start dealing arms and win a $300million contract from the Pentagon. Things roll along until personalities clash and small, but important, details are overlooked. A younger sibling of Lord of War this one is definitely groupable with the likes of The Big Short, The Wolf of Wall Street and maybe Blow, among others. #JonahHill turned in a performance similar to his smarmy character in The Wolf of Wall Street, while #MilesTeller played yet another unassuming young man quick with the one line comeback when needed. It was #BradleyCooper's turn as ultimate gun runner Henry Girard, (just oily, rightfully paranoid, and menacing enough) that stood out to me. Movies like this always make me slightly guilty over my indirect, inadvertant part in this murder machine/military industrial complex. I did pick up a few things though: 1) when you write up a contract to have another person sign, make a copy when they leave the vicinity and hide the original for safe keeping, in case they feel like getting rid of it in a fit of rage in the future, 2) just repackage illegal or potentially illegal ammunition (and the like) in plastic bags and cardboard boxes, and 3) REMEMBER TO PAY ANY HELP! especially of they already suspect it's something shady they might be helping with, or they may narc on you to the government you thought you could pull a fast one on.
