i guess it makes sense that people would fuck during a killing game (? <- confused aspec), and the clothes scattered around the room also certainly had that... implication. even if Ulysses confirms that Wolfgang was just a messy guy, the fact that it was both of their clothes either meant that they were matching each other's freak or... matching each other's freak 😏

the thing that really gets me about this is the timing. roommates were assigned on the night of Day 2 (area investigation day), and the Ulysses/Grace swap happened on the night of Day 3. meanwhile, Wolfgang turns up dead in the morning of Day 5. this means that, assuming that Wolfgang and Grace were "sleeping together" (AKA, they fucked at night), the fucking occurred on the night of Day 3, Day 4, or both.

DAY 3

if they fucked on the night of Day 3, this means that after swapping the rooming assignments around, they immediately started fucking. was this the purpose of changing rooms? was Grace rushing Ulysses' move out because she wanted to have sex with Wolfgang faster? did Wenona and Ulysses know that this would happen?

we also know that the dorms are not soundproof, and in fact have pretty thin walls, as Damon is able to hear Jett sneeze from in the hallway. Wolfgang's room is right next to Mark, and right across from Ingrid's. i don't know if it's been confirmed which of Jett and Mark and Toshiko and Ingrid's room each pair is staying in respectively, but this means there's a decent chance that any of them could have overheard Wolfgang and Grace fucking. there are children about, you sickos (/lh). is this why Mark is such a hater all the time.

also, fucking on Day 3 means that they slept together on the night before the bonus laundry scene. did Ingrid invite them because she knew there were things she didn't want to wash? ,':/

Day 4 is funny because it opens up the possibility of Grace seducing Wolfgang into gaming with her. ladies, now you know how to make your man step away from the pachinko ;)

i would also have to wonder what was going through Grace's mind the next morning when Wolfgang woke up with a stomach ache. pussy so bad it makes your partner fall ill. where was i going with this

anyways yeah, it really is crazy that two people who generally seem really untrusting of others were able to grow that close with each other that fast. naturally, just because they had sex doesn't mean that they had to be interested in pursuing anything romantic, or therefore more (emotionally) "vulnerable." however, given how upset Grace seems about Wolfgang's death, and the fact that Wolfgang suddenly started calling Grace "Grace" as opposed to "Ms. Madison" (even if the voice line still says Ms. Madison) at the Day 4 breakfast, I would guess that there was mutual interest to some degree.

that also makes Wolfgang's actions on the morning of Day 5 all the more intriguing. if he really did care about Grace, that in my opinion increases the likelihood that he truly did take the knife for self defense. otherwise, if he became the blackened, he would necessarily be signing either his or Grace's death warrant. he definitely could care for her but value his own life and secret more, but again, it leans towards him lashing out at Diana being a result of the hallucinogenics. i'll have to chew on that more in the future.

I like to think that Morrigan - especially a romanced Morrigan - is a Solavellan shipper.

Part of it is Mythal. We can tell by the way she talks about Solas that she/Mythal still cares about and may want him to find happiness with Lavellan.

From a more practical standpoint a romanced Lavellan could be used to talk Solas down. That didn't work out in the game, unfortunately, but Lavellan did make him hesitate.

But I think a romanced Morrigan would see a lot of her relationship with the Warden in Solavellan. She left the Warden because she felt she had no choice, just as Solas left Lavellan.

But the Warden didn't give up on Morrigan. He found her again and they walked through that eluvian together. They found love and happiness with each other and (depending on your choices) their son.

I think Morrigan would absolutely look at Solas and Lavellan and remember the year she spent away from the Warden. The year they spent longing for each other. All because she thought they couldn't be together.

After all that, I can see her wanting to step in and nudge Solas and Lavellan back together.

10 things I do to feel close to my romantic F/O!

Once you have it, I then recommend spraying it with their perfume or cologne– there are websites that let you design your own unique scents, but this is my favorite place to buy. [Bonus step: warm it up in the dryer or with a heating pad!]

4. Bring a little piece of them everywhere! I like to bring my plushie and acrylic stands out with me to photograph, but it can be anything they’d give you– a necklace, a trinket, a ring, a handkerchief– anything in your pocket that reminds you that they’re always there with you.

5. Make a “what’s in their bag” edit, and include pics all of the things they’d carry with them!

6. It’s classic, but make a playlist of songs that describe you, or the two of you together. You might even discover some new music in the process! (You can also ask some trusted friends and fandommates to make one for you!)

7. Make a list, collage, or board of their favorites things, and I mean everything! Favorite food, drink, color, season, flower, time of day, quote, gemstone, holiday, animal, movie, place…. as thorough as you’d like! Even if it’s not mentioned in canon, you know them best, right?

8. Speaking of Pinterest boards, everyone says to make them, but here are some ideas on specifically WHAT to make collages of.

Yes, the reason I’m so nervous about sharing any kind of shipping art is because of how negative certain sides of the fandom get (I’ve been on the receiving end of some of that and I haven’t even posted any ship art yet). I don’t particularly want to attract more negativity, but I can’t control how others react so it just comes to a matter of what am I willing to risk with each post. Does Duke Su need to be in this episode? Well no, not objectively for plot reasons. But full applause to the screenwriter and director for understanding the assignment: this drama is so enjoyable to watch because it's paced to give the audience a succession of threat, conflict, resolution + shipper moment in 1 or 2 episode beats. ✔ ✔ ✔

So some early reactions to new BNHA volume leaks (that I will not spoil because I’m not that kind of dick) has reminded me that shipping discourse has always been and will always be colossally stupid and a waste of time.

Seriously, I don’t get why some people get so riled up on the relationship status of two fictional characters. Maybe it’s because I’ve always been kind of a free shipper (if that’s even a word.)

Case in point, two Fairy Tail ships I personally enjoy are Natsu X Juvia and Lucy X Freed. Is there any basis for those ships in the canon text? Not really. Does that prevent me from enjoying them? Absolutely not.

And you want to know what I don’t do?

I DON’T harass people who ship Natsu & Lucy or Gray & Juvia or Freed & Mirajane or Freed & Laxus.

I Don’t insult them and think the worst of them because they don’t ship the same things I do.

I Don’t cry about canon material that goes against my ship. Mostly because it ain’t a big deal.

I don’t write college length essays about how canon ships are ‘boring’ because they don’t fit my personal tastes.

I don’t delude myself looking for every single ‘clue’ that leads to my ships becoming ‘canon.’

Seriously, shipping is supposed to be fun, but some of you treat like a fucking death game or just get really insufferable. I get some people get into a ship to help them through tough times. But there comes a point where you need to step back and gauge whether not or not your dedication to a ship is making you an ass to other people.

But I suppose like with a lot of the dumb shit in fandom spaces, my frustration comes from being a functioning adult who engages in things for fun and enrichment, and not someone with the mindset of an overly dramatic teenager (or who just IS an overdramatic teenager.)

So in summary, ship what you want to ship, regardless of it being canon or not canon. And don’t be a dick to other people shipping stuff you don’t ship.

I’m done complaining about fandom nonsense for awhile. Time to actually talk positive like I promised a few months ago.

soooo I think the reason there are so many contrasting headcanons is not only because of the open interpretations the games leave, but because of what kinds of kirby media people are introduced to at first. you got the main games, the anime, the mangas, the light novels, etc. which. wow that's a lot of material you can build on. AND CONSIDERING THE AMOUT OF LORE EACH OF THESE TOPICS ARE COOKING???? DAWG WH

and I GUESS I can understand why some hcs are so bizarre in other people's eyes. but the way this fandom handles those different headcanons is...a lil bad.

YES I KNOW THIS ISN'T SPECIFIC TO THE KIRBY FANDOM, but the whole reason why I'm making this is to at least understand why people take it so close to heart.

and. not calling anyone out. but I do see quite a lot of posts with people (critiquing? complaining?) about how popular headcanons "ruin" the fandom (and this goes with ships too, but I'll get into that later) and all I gotta ask is

does it really??? does it really ruin the fandom?

I'm just gonna say. no. it doesn't.

you are focusing on a small percentage out of...oh idk...AN ENTIRE FANBASE? at LEAST open up a little and find a new circle if it is bothering you that much. or better yet. BLOCK! filter out tags!

with the amout of differing kirby medias, please understand that there will be headcanons that will oppose yours and that's okay! just don't be a jerk about it!

NOW. with the ships. specifically metadede. gonna try to put my overwhelming bias aside for this one I promise.

though metadede is the most popular ship in the fandom, it still comes with it's critics. and some are. actually valid! such as their relationship doesn't immediately have to be romantic. it can be seen as platonic! and I can understand why people feel that way.

but things get sour when people immediately try to crap on it because in their eyes, and correct me if I'm wrong here, metadede overshadows every other ship in the fandom. you hardly get to hear about their rarepair because of how metadede is everywhere.

if you take a step back and really look. there is a reason it is so popular. because of the LARGE amounts of media they have together. in the games. in the mangas. in smash. in official art. I mean if you wanna count the anime go ahead.

what I'm trying to say here is that compared to any other character interactions, meta knight and dedede are definitely up there for the most interaction in the franchise. and I'm not trying to downplay any rarepairs or other ships with a smaller fanbase.

BUT DON'T BLAME THE SHIPPERS! they are only doing the same as anyone else, they are going off of what they are given by canon and simply building off of that.

though, because I am a metadede shipper myself, you can take this segment with a grain of salt.

It’s honestly very crazy that a garbage Hollywood trailer makes so many people apologize to Minecraft Story Mode.

My experience with MCSM was that I was gifted the show by my dad as a teenager the same year the news came that Telltale went bankrupt. (It was the summer, so a couple of months before that)

I got a lot more into it than I was expecting. It had its problems, sure, but I was incredibly immersed with its story and atmosphere. Later on it became one of my obsessions once I finished the two games. It was the first fandom on the internet I ever became a part of. It was also the first time I ever outright became a shipper over a ship that wasn’t canon. (Jetra is my OTP to this day)

But in terms of real life, I never really felt confident talking to people about it. That’s because this was around the same time the hate train for MCSM started to arise. Then it became “Pure Fact” quote on quote that the games were these terrible things.

Now in my opinion and from my experience this started when some popular Let’s Players bashed the games. And even then I can’t blame them for simply having an opinion. But it’s because of their influence that their audiences take their opinions as gospel. (That should not be how that works)

From there every time I brought it up I would get cyberbullied for liking the games. And this was true for a lot of people who did like the games as well. We were all getting cyberbullied into joining the popular crowd and that we were wrong.

And then every time MCSM popped up in my feeds, my heart would sink and I would feel sick. Weird part was, while I did become far more critical of the games as a result of the trend… I NEVER found it in myself to outright hate it.

Like I said, the games have problems. They are by no means perfect games, and some of my critiques of it still hold up. (Not all of them though, ones I do wish I could take back) it was talking about THESE games that even spawned my hobby of writing essays of stuff I like.

So… that’s a sad origin story for how AnalyzGolden came to be. Now you know.

I’ve since drifted away from MCSM, simply because I was older and getting into new stuff. I talk about other stuff on this blog, like The Amazing Digital Circus, Ninjago, Total Drama, and quite recently Disventure Camp. And more. I also try to advertise my own stories to failing results cause no one cares.

So to see, after all these years, people like me finally being VALIDATED for our soured opinion on something… it just warms my heart so much.

I became more critical because of the trend of “MCSM sucks”. And now that that’s growing to not be the case, and I became more exposed to some crazy and wild fandom takes on other media that boggle my mind, that I’ve stepped more away from being negative and made choices to be in my corner and simply “Enjoy Something. Because I enjoy it.”

Oh I’m still a critical cynical bitch. And I do talk about my own critiques and problems if I personally have a problem with it and how the writing or whatever was handled. But I guess I’m more willing to hear the story itself out and what it’s trying to do before I jump to conclusions.

I cringe at my old emotionally impulsive self. And I hate having regression episodes of reverting back to my awful teenager self. But I can say that through experiences, I have to thank that for the person I am now, even if it sucked.

So… thank you MCSM. And thank you Hollywood for making a trailer/movie so awful that it made people such as myself finally feel heard and validated.

(Oh and btw, you guys don’t need to follow the trend of loving MCSM either. This doesn’t need to turn into the complete opposite thing. The lesson here is that you are allowed to like and dislike MCSM, and anything really, and trends should not sour your take on it. You can still not like the games if that’s your honest opinion.)

For me, Luke's post registered loud and clear last night, so I was very surprised to log in today and find the fandom still on its bullshit. Then again, I've never bought into any shipping, so perhaps it's easier for me to divest and get more of a bird's eye view of the situation. The stance I've reached is that I have to step away, permanently, because there is nothing genuine left to enjoy in this fandom.

You see, after last night, I perceive Luke as a man without integrity and without honor. And before I get accused of being too harsh or overly dramatic, let me explain. For the past two years, he's been asleep at the wheel of a luxury vehicle he cannot afford. He hasn't shown up for the people he claims to love in the way that they've needed him to, and this goes back to the Jade days at least. And while there are crazy people everywhere and he isn't directly responsible for anyone else's behavior, we all lock our doors, install safes and put in cameras because we have to protect ourselves; we cannot count on other people to be decent. He has allowed strangers to invade his circle's privacy with impunity, and the only reason I can think of that makes any lick of sense is that he wants the adulation of the fans to continue unabated since it serves his professional bottom line. But what about the emotional (and practical) collateral for the people in his life? There are more mature ways to address the issue of overstepping than what he pulled last night. But who I marvel most at are the Polin shippers who are keeping their blinders on and failing to realize that at a certain level, he's mocking them with his inclusion of that one particular image.

And I'm not excluding Nicola from this conversation either. Their combined failure to put up firm boundaries for the sake of promoting a show has come back to bite them, but their loved ones even more. Corey was able to do it - he shut shit down with a single sentence. So why haven't they? At this point, they've become foolhardy. She's allowed unbridled speculation to play out about a man she couldn't possibly be dating, which has led to increased fan inquisitiveness and invasion into his own life, friends and family. I know they shouldn't have to deal with this, but there are things like this all of us have to handle, and it's their responsibility to manage the realities of their lives. Instead, what they seem to have done is center themselves as the loci of their universe, consequences be damned for everyone else. And for what, so that people can keep buying candles with quotes on them that didn't even make it into the show? Is that the price of their loved ones' safety and peace of mind to them? I get fearing losing your job, but the show isn't going anywhere, and neither are they. So why the intricate dance with the shippers? Is this the inevitable dead-end of social media - a thorough inability to show up with any authenticity in front of others?

I find all this business of hints, hidden tags, skipping red carpets and sneaking around in general just too childish for people at their level of success. I'm not going to stick around to watch the two of them compete in the Pettiness Olympics with a bunch of relentless shippers who have no qualms about crossing any and every line. Nicola and Luke could make things much easier for themselves and for those around them by releasing their clench on the idea that the Polin fandom will evaporate if they shut down the shipping. I mean, it is either that, or there's something really going on between the two of them, so the more insincere thing would be to deny it. However, from the games they both seem to be playing, that doesn't seem to be the case, so why continue to indulge them? I know, I know, they don't owe anybody clarity and all that, but this has reached a point where they themselves are rebelling against it in subtle yet consistent ways, so why not go in on it fully? It's all starting to feel so cynical and mercenary of them.

I'm saying all of this because I recently had something happen to me that really put things into perspective in terms of which areas of my life require my attention and which need to go. I cannot imagine being someone in their orbit and being hung out to dry the way that they have been. For some of them, their association with the main players may end one day, and they'll be left to pick up the pieces of their lives and online reputations on their own. It may be a harsh assessment of the situation, but this is where I stand currently. This is all-around unsustainable and it might reach a fever pitch, God forbid, with someone going too far to try to prove a point. Nicola and Luke cannot possibly be blind to this; it has already gotten out of hand. But they aren't as helpless as they think (or want to think). So, in the new year, I wish for more people to grow a spine and have the courage to live the lives they are living out in the open and not resort to playing infantile games with potentially dangerous, amoral individuals. It's getting too ridiculous.

I'm glad to see you're doing well and wanted to simply bid my adieu, since I've enjoyed the discussions we've had, but I feel like I have a responsibility to myself to cut out the things in my life that aren't serving me and are adding needless frustration to my life instead of joy. It’s clear you’ve put a lot of thought into this, and while I don’t necessarily agree with everything you’ve said, I can respect your decision to step away for your own peace of mind - and for the reasons you’re doing it.

I do think there could be more done on Luke and Nicola’s sides to protect the people in their lives - boundaries are important, especially when navigating something as intense as fandom culture. At the same time, fans shouldn’t dictate the choices they make or how they live their lives. Ultimately, they are celebrities, and this is part of the culture that comes with that.

In any profession, there will always be aspects of the job that are less than ideal or require actions we’d rather not take, but this is where we are in the world, especially with social media and celebrity culture. Balancing personal boundaries and professional obligations is tricky, and while I understand some of your frustrations, I don’t think it’s fair to assume malicious intent or complete disregard for the people around them.

I also think that some decisions they made, which may have seemed good at the time, might not have had the outcomes they ultimately hoped for. Additionally, because so many personalities are involved, finding the perfect balance of needs and wants is a tricky spot to navigate.

I also want to say this: thank you for having conversations with me. Thank you for being a part of the fandom with me and engaging with me. You may not realize it, but when I made this blog, I was in a very low part of my life, so having any form of back-and-forth with you truly made a difference (even though I don't exactly know who you are). And while I’m sad that you are where you are regarding Luke and even Nicola, know that you impacted my life for the better. So it wasn’t for nothing!

At the end of the day, you’re right - if something isn’t bringing joy or adding value to your life, stepping away is the healthiest choice. I’m glad you’re prioritizing yourself, and I wish you nothing but the best in the new year. Take care!
