going slightly insane ngl,, the last thing i want to do is study but i don't even know why. i enjoyed ASA more than enough for it to not be awful to study so what gives??

-> studied ASA (topics: Dijkstra, Bellman-Ford, Johnson, DAG shortest paths, Prim, Kruskal, Union-find, Edmonds-Karp)

-> watched a performance of Swan Lake with my aunt and my grandma (it was beautiful)

Today was chill. I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump lately so yesterday I reread the first book in the Heartstopper series (I first read it in 2020) and it did help. Since I read it relatively quickly, I planned on reading the second one but got bored of it and started rereading Solitaire (by Alice Oseman, also the author of Heartstopper) and I’m about halfway done with it. Today I took an everything shower today and started a cardboard craft and read, so I’ve been pretty productive. My report card came today and although I could’ve done better, my gpa is relatively high so I’m okay with it. I might get my period soon bcs I’ve got rlly bad cramps today 😪. I’ve been a bit depressed lately but today was good. I hope you lovelies are well <3

it's terribly awful being a literature/reader girlie in a stem program surrounded by slaves to gpt who cannot but write an incomprehensible prompt to the machine and believe that your well-honed brain is incapable of writing the same level (if not higher) of sophisticated english after an entire childhood reading at an adult level

Cute nerds boning!

Socially awkward guy meets girl who thinks he hates her, plot twist they love each other.

Good enemies to lovers content complete with forced proximity and a shared goal.

Their banter is cute and the one miscommunication part actually fit into the story and wasn’t drawn out to hell and back.

The end drama was unexpected and honestly had me clutching my pearls while I read 😂

if the weather had been nicer, would have gone to a bookstore and bought a little treat :3

-> studied ASA (just revisions)

-> ASA exam (total: 2h00 - went better than expected! should be able to pass! hopefully)

-> watched Castlevania season 1 ep 1

-> played Cult of the Lamb 🐑

-> more Anna Karenina, by Leo Tolstoy (reached page 300, which is not even a third of the way through!! it's going so slow, but, in a way, i think that fits the story nicely)

What is your most fav and least favourite part about your degree ?

that's such a good question thank you for asking!!!

most favourite is definitely the wide range of topics it covers. there is something for anyone. traditional chemical engineering with industrial processes, plant design, environmental engineering etc. It prepares you in a way that whether you want to get into oil, energy, food industries or you want to go to the business and design aspect,or biotechnology and biomedical eng and or even to building/artifacts restoration you have the background and knowledge to do it.

least favourite definitely the workload. classes are hard from day 1 and get harder with each semester. and our department has a reputation of difficulty profs too yeah, it's hard.

Thinking of starting a study blog alongside all the misc stuff I usually post as I feel it'll help with holding myself accountable for my studies

I'm currently studying at university and planning to graduate in 2026 (hopefully). Majoring in astronomy, with a minor — education (tbh I'm not interested in education at all but didn't have choice there). Also really interested in humanities especially in languages and literature. I'm currently studying Lating and slightly dipping toes in Korean and Japanese

School is out! Yesterday I went to a water park and I’ve been very social lately. I tend to have depressive episodes in the summer and while I am struggling with that, this year I have some friends who I can hang out with and usually that makes me feel better.

An academic update! About a month ago, I reached out to a psychology research center asking for an internship and today they replied! :) She said that her assistant will see if they have a position for me and if they do they’ll hire me. I’m very excited because I plan to major in psychology and an internship will help a lot with college applications.
