My father hates My Chemical Romance for the stupidest goddamn reason.

In like, 2006, he saw an episode of Anthony Bourdain or some shit (IDK, some cooking person) and the guy was talking to a random J-Rock band, and they said that MCR was the worst thing about American music.

My father has no investment in this rando J-Rock band, but because they said MCR was shit, it's obviously 100% true. It must be, they were on Anthony Bourdain!

without a hint of hesitation, satoru grins and points at you. “your mom”

your daughter turns to you, staring like she’s trying to do family math… while you’re just sitting there, torn between screaming and shoving satoru off the couch because… really?

you glare daggers at him. “do you want to explain what that means or should i hand you the divorce papers?” but before he can open his mouth, your daughter squints at you and says “so… papa built you?”

you want the floor to open up and swallow you whole. satoru, on the other hand, is wheezing.

and that’s not the worst part. you think the chaos ended with this incident, but no.

because the next day at the preschool drop off, your daughter proudly announces to her teacher “papa says mama is the best thing he’s ever done!”

pause. a long, uncomfortable silence as the teacher blinks, smile frozen, trying to decide whether she just heard that correctly.

you laugh nervously. “haha— kids, right? they say the funniest things!”

but your daughter keeps going. “he said i’m the second best thing! mama is the first! because he did her!”

you choke.

the teacher looks like she’s debating whether to report a crime or offer you a support group…

meanwhile, satoru is standing beside you, completely unbothered. “i mean, i’m not wrong” he says with a wink.

Basic Description The product of Project Stellar—a secret government operation aiming to perfect Project Shadow—Stellar is a genetic experiment combining the DNA of the Ultimate Life Form and the fastest thing alive. Designed to be a living weapon, Stellar was born in a hidden facility where she would have been raised to be an unstoppable weapon for the military. Thankfully, Shadow the Hedgehog (with help from Rouge the Bat) discovered her existence, destroyed the lab, and rescued her as an infant. Shadow then went on to begrudgingly inform his long-time rival, Sonic the Hedgehog, of their newfound child, seeing as she was technically just as much Sonic's problem as she was Shadow's. From there, the duo (along with help from their friends) raised Stellar as their daughter, sheltering her from the knowledge she was created to be a force of destruction for her masters. Along the way, Sonic and Shadow found themselves truly falling for one another, dissolving the barriers they had placed between one another as rivals, finding new appreciation for each other in their new parental roles.

Stellar herself is a bright, warm-hearted person. She has a strong sense of justice and never shies away from standing up for what is right. She takes after Sonic in personality, always cracking jokes and finding it hard to sit still. Despite this, she inherited Shadow's finesse and ability to plan out her choices, not to mention his abilities to utilize chaos energy. She has a love for figure skating, ballet, and make up (thanks to Auntie Rouge!), but don't let her feminine side fool you, she is not afraid to get her hands dirty! She would love nothing more than to spend her day smashing badniks into the ground with her skates if her dads would let her! Stellar loves both of her parents dearly, but sometimes wishes that they wouldn't be so protective of her. After all, what could they possibly have to be worried about?

I promised the district manager at the mattress store I wouldn’t job hunt for a year and I technically haven’t but I did just have a friend at Riot be like APPLY FOR THIS JOB and because he can drop my name to the team and hiring manager I’m gonna.

This is gonna be a very personal post but given the situation I wanted to say something here but

My 6.5 year relationship has ended, I have nothing but love for my ex but it was clear that we need different things in life. We met at 20 and went through 3 years long distance together spread across the country. We had hopes to be together forever and he is the only person I've pictured spending my life with. Despite our differences, we had some great times together.

I particularly wanted to say something here because he was the person who got me into Skyrim. My relationship before him (my only other relationship), my ex got me to play through the tutorial and I said "it was alright but I don't think it's for me" *bombastic sideeye*

After I had moved in back in 2019, he had a spare pc and suggested I try Skyrim because it was one of his favs. I had some time over winter break from uni and got instantly obsessed. I played the game a whole bunch but never dipped any further than what the general Skyrim audience knows. It wasn't until 2022 while I was bored during the summer in grad school that I started playing again, watched all the lore videos I could find and eventually on July 4th 2022 I made this blog because none of my friends where into Skyrim and I needed an outlet for it. Then of course I discovered people made ocs for their Dragonborn's and the imperial named Theodora started to develop in my head. Initially, she hated the Thalmor but as you all know that didn't last long :P

Then I started interacting with some of the cool people here and seeing them write fanfic made me think I could too and even put it out on ao3. And then I made more friends, and I took up beading and I combined it with tes. And then meet more people, wonderful people I now chat with in discord servers and in the dms where we are *very normal* about elves :P I've even had a few voice calls with some and I hope to have many more in the future <3

So all this to say that although my life is in upheaval, my anxiety in particular is really rough now, that relationship did much good for me and one of those things was helping me find this community. Tumblr really has been my refuge throughout the difficult time I had in grad school and the loneliness I've experienced moving away from my irl friends. Thank you all for being funny, kind, creative, very normal :P I'm blessed to have not only a good community around me but a good online community. I hope to have blorbo thoughts again soon <3
