15 and 30
15) A Hollywood producer tells you that they want to film just one of your fics. Which fic would you want it to be?
okay so on one hand - special relationship. it’s my only really full-length fic, i’m obsessed with steve and peggy as politicos, etc. etc., and who doesn’t love a good love story that starts at a NATO summit!
but really i would love it if they turned you can count on me into a film (and also made it a full-length story rather than a one-shot lol). period clothes? steve and peggy being sneaky in east germany? the kiss in the alley? the d r a m a of it all? the DREAM tbh.
30) Tell us an idea for a longfic you want to write in the future.
okay so i’ve had an idea for a million years of a fic that i will have tried and tried and will probably never write where peggy gets the serum in the course of the war and she’s frozen in the arctic instead of steve. howard, phillips, and angie found SHIELD, and steve is declared MIA so that he can be sneaky and take down what’s left of hydra, escape the mantle of captain america, and so on. he becomes agent 13, a ghost.
peggy wakes up in 2011, becomes captain america, fights the chitauri with the rest of the avengers. she reunites with her brother michael and his granddaughter sharon, a CIA agent. natasha is her friend on snapchat. and then in the midst of fighting a resurgent hydra in DC, discovers that both steve and bucky are alive.

I, N, Y
I - Someone beat you to it, friendo.
N: Is there a fic you wish someone else would write (or finish) for you?
Oh my God, I wish someone would write all my fic ideas for me! I have a couple of real corkers that I’d love to read.
I do sort of wish someone else could take on my fake marriage fic Marriage of Inconvenience, because in the right hands it would be hilarious.
Y: A character you want to protect.
I’ll admit, feel a bit possessive of Peggy sometimes, because I was writing her long before Agent Carter was even thought of. But she doesn’t need protecting by anyone, least of all me. ;)

1, 16, 34, 50
1. First things first, did you have a good year?It was... okay. Not the worst on a personal level, but it wasn't great either. I had really good moments, especially end of the year proved to be quite pleasantly surprising. Unfortunately, there were also some disappointments and health issues.
16. What food did you try for the first time?Real curry. I know for many of you it's weird that I haven't tried it ever before, but I live in a small town and we don't have Indian restaurant here. It's a surprise we have a sushi place. Anyway, wonderful Trish ( @ninety-threepercentstardust) made me real curry when we met in February :)
34. Did you have to cut ties to someone?Hmm, no. Some ties just loosened, but there was no harsh ending of any relationship.
50. What do you wish for yourself? Most of all for good health. There are a few appointments and check ups this upcoming year that make me a little scared, so I keep my fingers crossed that it goes well.
To stay happy and have the support of family and friends that I have now.
And to have the strength to deal with the new boss I'm gonna have starting July - doctor dick.

in deeper than I’ve ever been
This is for the lovely @steggyisimmortal for the 2018 Steggy Secret Santa! When I asked what you were interested in you said you liked wartime Steggy and a look at missing moments, so I’ve tried to fill in a little of the gap in The First Avenger after Steve’s rescue of the 107th and before the montage of his missions with the Commandos.
I hope you enjoy it, and a very merry Christmas to you!
The London command centre has various training facilities available for the agents and soldiers stationed there, but there is nothing, Peggy has found, quite as satisfying as working out her frustrations on a punching bag.
There is something about the way her fists connect with solid thuds that she feels all the way up her arms, the ache of exertion as the muscles across her back and shoulders flex with each movement, even the sweat that beads along her brow and down the back of her neck, that is particularly gratifying and leaves her feeling calm, and focused.
Or at least, it usually is. Today her demons are refusing to be so easily exorcised.
As each punch lands, she only seems to feel more worked up and angry – except it’s not quite anger, although it has the same intensity and sharp edges. But it’s cooler, with more of a slickness to it; it’s anger and hurt and humiliation all rolled together.
Peggy understands her own emotions well enough to know that she’s jealous. It isn’t the first time she has felt this way, although it is the first time she has felt it so fiercely – enough to make her feel as if she’s the one that’s been punched and left winded. She learned when she first started in the SEO that pretending she wasn’t feeling things only made them build up inside her until they became unbearable.
So, yes, she was under the impression that she and Steve had … something, even if it was something they hadn’t yet acted on or talked openly about.
And, admittedly, with each swing of her fists she has been picturing hitting Private Lorraine.
But it seems that while a boxing session might help vent aggravation with bull-headed colleagues, it does little to ease the bitter sting of a deeper, more personal disappointment. With a sigh she hits the punching bag one last time and then steps back to catch her breath, flexing her now aching fingers at her sides.
Behind her, she hears the creak of the door opening and although her back is to it and it’s impossible for her to tell who it is she still knows. The air seems to warm around her and her skin prickles with anticipation, and like feeling a change of light through closed eyelids she just knows even before she turns around that it’s Steve stood watching her.
“Agent Carter,” he said quietly, voice soft but eyes slightly wary. Not entirely surprising, given she was shooting at him only a few hours ago.
“Captain,” she replies coolly. She may have learned not to deny her feelings to herself, but she would never have gotten when she is if she were not able to act calm and measured however much she might be internally seething.
He shifts awkwardly (endearingly) from foot to foot for a moment, then lifts his shoulders back as if he trying to gather his own courage. Peggy wishes he hadn’t; it only draws her eyes to his broad frame.
After the rescue in Austria she had known, of course, that they couldn’t keep him confined to the USO performance circuit. He had more than proved his value in combat and not only to command but to the soldiers themselves. The 107th would have rioted if he hadn’t been acknowledged as a military officer after that. Peggy had said as much to him, finding him alone after the men he had rescued had been ushered off for medical treatment and Phillips had started organising the taking down of the camp so they could relocate back to London.
Steve had been stood watching the furore all around him as tents were taken down and trucks packed, looking slightly lost and dazed. His face had still be smudged with soot and dirt, and Peggy couldn’t help being drawn to him, like a moth to a flame.
“I expect the USO are going to find themselves short one performer now,” she had said lightly, stepping up beside him.
He had glance down at her, his mouth curling into a small smile. “You can imagine my disappointment.”
“Even though bond sales may take a dip?”
“It’s a risk I’m willing to take.”
Something had changed in him. Being the field had unlocked something in him – the spirit she remembered from his basic training, that been dampened and subdued on stage, was alight again. It had burned behind his eyes as he held her gaze, the same way he had when they first marched into the camp, and Peggy’s fingers had itched with the desire to pull his head down so she could kiss him.
(If she had, she wonders now, would this morning never have happened? Or would she still have found him kissing Private Lorraine and be feeling even more hurt and humiliated?)
Instead she had glanced down at the leather jacket and the dirty but still brightly coloured stage costume he was wearing. “We’ll have to find you a proper uniform then, soldier.”
Steve had grinned. “What, you don’t think this suits me?”
“Let’s just say … it’s not exactly camouflage friendly.”
Peggy had been in the armed forces, serving with uniformed men and women, for nearly four years at this point. She had been worked with British army and RAF officers, travelled on navy ships, and lived in camps of US servicemen.
None of that had prepared her for seeing Steve Rogers in a military dress uniform.
When he had walked into the command centre strategy room, she had felt a flush creeping up her neck and had had to take a breath to steady herself. The dark green uniform was perfectly tailored to his form, emphasising the broadness of his shoulders and arms and the slimness of his waist, and somehow left her feel every bit as rattled as watching him emerge from Project Rebirth bare chested and glistening with sweat. All the while that Steve had been debriefing them on the locations of Hydra bases, Peggy’s eyes had kept travelling over him and her mind had been half occupied with very inappropriate thoughts that all involved taking his uniform off again.
It had been with a very deliberate goal of wanting to see if she draw a similar reaction from him that she had chosen her best red dress to go and look for him in the pub that evening – a dress she knew hugged her figure intimately and displayed all of her curves.
Now, standing in front of him, she is very aware of the old shirt and trousers she has changed into and of the strands of hair sticking to the sweat on her forehead.
“I, um … Phillips said I could find you here,” he says slowly.
Peggy lifts an eyebrow. “And here I am. What can I do for you?”
“Nothing – no, it’s not, that is, I’m not here to ask for anything – I wanted to um, to talk to you –”
She hates that she still finds his stumbling over his own words sweet, reminding her of New York and those first moments when she saw that there was far more to him than met the eye. When she saw the intelligence, the determination, the strength of spirit that seemed far too great to be housed in such a small body, and she started to understand why Dr Erskine had been so adamant that Steve would be the one to receive the serum.
Even in the midst of her hurt, she knows neither she nor Erskine was wrong about the sort of man that Steve is.
Perhaps that’s why she’s so angry.
And why she’s not inclined to be immediately forgiving.
“Talk to me about what?”
He stops, swallows, then tries again. “I came to apologise.”
It’s not quite what Peggy expected – hoped for, maybe, but she has learned the hard way not to expect too much from anyone – and she stills, watching him guardedly.
“Alright.”
“… alright?” he echoes, blinking. She raises her eyebrows and looks pointedly at him, and he blushes and glanced briefly down at his feet. “Right. I’m sorry, Peggy.”
He hasn’t used her first name that much, and there’s a softness to the way he says it now, as though each syllable is something precious, that immediately creeps beneath her defences and starts to soothe her anger and aching heart.
“I was out of line earlier. I got defensive and what I said . . . I shouldn’t have – have made assumptions about you and Stark, and even if you were, y’know, I mean … it’s none of my business.”
His blue eyes are sincere as he watches her, and there’s a flicker of regret in them as if he wants to say that he wishes it were his business.
It surprises her how much difference his words make – how much better she feels just knowing, and believing, that he really is sorry. That he cares, and that she was not so completely mistaken in him.
“Apology accepted,” Peggy says. “I appreciate it.”
“And, uh, about what you saw –”
While she is grateful for his apology and is willing to give him another chance, she’s not so sure she wants to talk about that. Even thinking about it makes her hackles rise.
“Yes?” she says, voice strained.
“It wasn’t – that is – she caught me off guard. I wasn’t expecting – and I didn’t know what to do. Not that that makes it better,” Steve adds hurriedly, looking more intimidated by this conversation than he did at the thought of going behind enemy lines by himself. Good, Peggy thinks savagely. “But I … wish it hadn’t happened, is all.”
Drumming her fingers on her hip, she looks away as though considering. Truthfully, her anger is all but gone now – the green-eyed monster’s appetite sated by the unspoken reassurance that he wants her and no one else – and so she decides to go easy on him.
“Well … I know Private Lorraine can be … aggressive, in her approach.” Not that she can blame the other woman, exactly; she’s been wanting to pull Steve into a dark corner for a long time. Looking back at him, she narrows her eyes a fraction. “But next time you might put up more of a fight.”
“Yes, ma’am.” The corner of Steve’s mouth quirks upwards, as he realises she’s forgiven him. “So we’re … okay?”
“I think so, yes.”
Gathering her things, she starts to stride past him to the exit – she wants to keep him on his toes a little while longer – but she’s smiling as she does. Just as she reaches the door, Steve calls out behind her,
“I’ve been talking to Howard about the uniform.”
“Oh?” She glances over her shoulder.
“I’d like to get your input. You know, make sure everything’s camouflage friendly.”
Amusement sparks in her eyes as she nods. “Tomorrow morning then, Captain.”
***
With their new intelligence, everyone is keen to get underway with taking out Hydra’s bases – but as quickly as they can expedite things, it still takes time to make sure everything in prepared. Scouts are sent out to confirm what Steve learned from the map in Austria and to gather any more information they can about each base’s location and defences, and while they wait for those reports Howard Stark works on equipping Steve and his Commandos and Peggy works to make sure they are all prepared when they enter the field.
She spends hours working out strategy with Steve, his new squad giving advice according to each of their specialities. As they pour over maps and reconnaissance photographs of Europe, marking out different approaches and exits – better to have as many as possible, so they can adapt more easily depending on what they find when they’re out there – Peggy finds herself watching him as much as their work. Her eyes trace the line of his throat as he leans forward and linger on his hands as he outlines routes on the map. She admires the outline of his profile and finds the dress uniform does not get any less attractive even as she gets used to seeing him in it.
Things between them have . . . settled since his apology, if that’s the right word to use. He’s still trying to make up for it, Peggy thinks, being polite and attentive and, she’s noticed with petty satisfaction, keeping a wide berth between himself and Lorraine. But the tension between them only seems to have increased. There are times when Peggy looks up and finds his blue eyes on her, and she feels although she’s being scorched by the heat of his gaze. Other times his voice deepens or softens when he speaks to her and she doesn’t entirely trust in the strength of her legs to keep her standing.
Still, nothing happens.
Steve is trying to be respectful, she’s sure. And she can think of any number of reasons why they ought to wait until the war is over before acting on their attraction.
(Is it so simple as attraction when there are days that it’s not the desire to kiss him that overwhelms her, but just to sit and talk with him and enjoy his closeness?)
Her self-control weakens a little each day, especially when he lingers after strategy meetings and training sessions so it’s just the two them.
“Will be you be sent out soon?” he asks one afternoon, after they’ve been finalising plans for when the Commandos head out next week.
“No, actually. I’m grounded for a while.”
“Grounded? How come?”
“As matter of fact, you could say it’s partly your fault.” In response to his surprised expression, Peggy digs around under a stack of paper for a moment. Pulling out a copy of The Times, she tosses it at him. “Page ten.”
He flicks through to the page in question, then looks up at her with some confusion. Laid out in front of him, she knows, is an article on the rescue of the US Army’s 107th Infantry Regiment by the hero dubbed Captain America – and next to it is a photograph of Peggy’s face.
“A single-handed rescue from behind enemy lines is enough to cause a bit of stir – but the papers here were more interested when they picked up that a British officer was involved,” Peggy explains, perching on one of the tables and folding her arms. “We managed to get to them in time to stop them digging too much into my military files or publishing any information that could compromise us, but somehow they still got hold of my name and picture. Give it some ‘local flavour.’” She rolls her eyes to say what she thinks of that excuse. “So I need to stay put for a while, to minimise the chances of my being recognised elsewhere.”
“That must be frustrating,” Steve says sympathetically, but she only shrugs.
“A little. But we have plenty of capable agents, and I’m still contributing by being here and running point for you and the Commandos.”
He smiles. “There’s no one else I’d rather have backing us up.”
It’s a cheesy, obvious attempt at flattery – but it still manages to make her heart flutter like she’s a schoolgirl again, and she smiles back despite herself.
“Well, that’s a relief, because you’re not getting anyone else.”
“Yeah, it would have been awkward otherwise.”
She chuckles, then pauses. “Speaking of press, you should know you’ll probably be getting some.”
Steve raises his eyebrows. “Oh?”
“You’ve already made quite a splash in the States, and Senator Brandt was reluctant to lose out entirely,” Peggy says wryly. “Hopefully you’ll be able to get a couple of missions under your belt first, but at some point he wants you and the Commandos to be filmed while in the field. For morale.”
“Is that safe?” Steve asks warily. “It won’t compromise what we’re doing?”
“Colonel Phillips and I are going to make sure it doesn’t. We’re drafting a long list of ground rules for the film crew for what they can and can’t shoot. They’ll make it as a generic as possible, so if the films are seen by the other side they won’t get any intelligence from them – well, other than that you’re all out there, which I suspect they’ll know soon enough anyway.”
There’s a grim set to her mouth as she finishes speaking. If it were up to her, there would be no filming at all – even with their guidelines, she knows it’s not out of the realm of possibility that an enemy intelligence agent will be able to glean an approximate location or be able to guess at numbers or tactics. Putting any information out there about such a sensitive operation is a risk, one that neither Peggy nor Colonel Phillips is happy with.
Unfortunately, they had Senator Brandt to reckon with. Even before Steve had rescued half a regiment by himself, Captain America had captured the imagination of the States – and for as much influence as Phillips had, Brandt has just as many friends and strings to pull on. He didn’t want to lose the revenue that Steve had been bringing in with the USO, so allowing a few short film reels was a compromise Phillips had been forced into to make sure he didn’t lose such a valuable soldier.
“Fair enough,” Steve said now, getting slowly to his feet. “I should get going … Howard made some changes to the equipment he wants to test out.
“Right. And I have some paperwork to file.”
Still, they lingered, eyes locked on each other, and Peggy felt her breath catch in her throat and considered that it would be a matter of only a few paces to close the distance between them and pull his head down until his mouth was crushing hers . . .
“Okay.” Steve smiled and started backing away, and just like that the tension was broken – like a string pulled taut that suddenly snapped, though Peggy’s pulse was still racing and her cheeks still felt warm. He glanced down at the newspaper still in his hands and then held it up. “Do you mind if I keep this?”
“No, go ahead.”
“I’ll see you later then.”
His eyes remain on her until he has to physically turn and go through the door, and even then he glances back before it shuts.
Peggy doesn’t stop smiling all evening.
***
“So.”
“So.”
Peggy glances at the men scurry back and forth loading up the ship – Phillips has insisted that Steve take an handful of other soldiers as well as the Commandos for back up; they’ll mostly operate the truck and take care of supplies and equipment, of which they have enough to last them at least a few weeks in the field in case they run into any trouble moving between bases and safe houses – and then turns her eyes back to Steve.
The persona of Captain America, so popular with the public, is here to stay, but the bright, cartoonish colours of his costume have been toned down to darker, subtler tones, and the outfit itself is now padded and armoured, with utility belt and pockets. A true soldier’s uniform. Peggy is overwhelmingly proud seeing it, knowing how much Steve wanted it and how hard he’s worked for it, and how proud Dr Erskine would have been – but seeing Steve like this also reminds her of where he is going and the danger he will be in, super soldier or no, and a prickle of anxiety runs down her spine.
She knows he needs to do this. She has and will do everything she can to support him, including fighting alongside him should it be necessary. And she knows that he now has many more advantages than any of the other men that will be with him.
But she realises now how very, very afraid she is of him getting hurt.
Still, somehow, she keeps her voice brisk and professional.
“You’ll be dropped off only a few hours’ ride from one of our bases in southern France – from there you can make your way covertly east through Switzerland to the Austrian border and thence to the east and north where you noted the other bases on the map.”
Steve nodded. “Got it.”
“You’ll check in as often as you can – preferably once every three days, whether through direct communication or via another agent. You’ve all been briefed on how to recognise and communicate with our agents throughout Europe?”
“Yes.”
“If we don’t hear from you for over seven consecutive days we’ll assume your team has been compromised. If possible depending on your last known location we will attempt an extraction, but if we can’t –”
She stops, unable to say the actual words out loud, but Steve just smiles gently. “I know. It’s okay.”
His understanding, his nobility, drives her absolutely mad. Throwing back her shoulders, she looks him pointedly in the eye and says, “So you had better make sure it never comes to that, Captain. Do you hear me?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
“Good.”
Out of the corner of her eye she can see that everything is just about loaded, which means they’ll be looking for Steve to get underway any minute.
Now that the moment to say goodbye is here, her heart is hammering against her ribs. Still not sure just what she’s about to say, she opens her lips – but stops when she sees Steve is still watching her, his blue eyes moving slowly over her face as if he’s trying to memorise her features.
“Oh, hell.”
Before his expression can settle into confusion Peggy has reached out to grab one of the straps on the front of his uniform. She pulls him back, around the side of the one of the trucks and out of the sight of the majority still moving around the dock.
“What -?” Steve starts to ask, but she’s already reached up to pull his head down the way she’s been envisioning for weeks now and cuts him off by pressing her mouth to his.
His lips are soft, far softer than she had imagined, and half open in surprise. He goes still against her, and for one unbearably long, stuttering heartbeat Peggy wonders if she was mistaken about everything, every look, every word – and then his hands come up to her waist and he returns the kiss with an intensity that makes her breath hitch.
Their teeth clack as they find the right angle, the clumsiness of unfamiliarity more than made up for in feeling and passion. She nips at his bottom lip and his tongue darts out to tease and explore, and there’s just not enough time for everything that she wants and feels.
It only lasts a few moments, but when Peggy finally makes herself pull away they are both breathing raggedly, faces flushed and eyes bright.
“I thought Private Lorraine was the aggressive one?” Steve says teasingly, and the huskiness of his voice sends shivers down Peggy’s spine.
“Are you complaining?”
“Absolutely not.”
She smiles. “I thought you should have one decent kiss before you head into the fray.”
She says it with nonchalance, but she’s sure Steve can read the truth in her eyes – that knowing Lorraine had kissed him and she hadn’t has been a constant irritation to her, and that if she didn’t touch him at least once she felt sure she would go quite mad.
Although now, it must be said, she thinks knowing what it’s like to kiss him might be thing to drive her mad. It’s with great reluctance that she steps back, putting some space between them, because if she doesn’t she’s going to kiss him again and this time she’s not sure she’ll stop.
Steve must know that as well, because he lifts his eyebrows and says, “Just one?”
“We might be able to talk about more when you get back,” Peggy replies, not sure how she manages to keep a straight face as she does because she has plans for Steve Rogers. Plans that involve far less clothing than they’re wearing now and his mouth on many other parts of her body, not just her lips.
Maybe he has plans too, because he grins slowly and if it weren’t for the spots of colour high in his cheeks and the softness of his gaze she might not believe it’s the same young man standing in front of her now that she met in New York.
“Then I’ll get all this wrapped up as soon as I can so I can hold you to that.”
Already counting down the days, Peggy nods. “You do that.”

7 sentences
Rules: go to page 7 of your WIP, go down to the 7th line, copy the next 7 sentences, then tag 7 people to do the same. I was tagged by @roboticonography.
Okay, I currently have two WIP documents that have a page 7, so I’m going to do them both.
This is from my fake dating WIP:
Peggy laughed out loud. “Yes, I’d stack them up against Private Hodge any day.” Steve grinned, picturing it, and she grinned back, clearly picturing it too.
“So how - ” Steve asked after a moment, then stopped. “How are we going to - ”
Peggy was considering him thoughtfully. “Have you ever actually kissed a girl?” she asked, finally.
And this is from the next chapter of “A Stutter in Time”:
Steve turned to Peggy. “Being pregnant seems to make you kinda fast and loose with the confidential information, Carter.”
“He’s not wrong,” said Sharon with a grin. “Aunt Peggy would never have let that slip accidentally.” She looked down at her tea cup. “At least not until the last few years.”
Peggy brought her own cup to her lips.
I’m tagging @invidiosa, @teaandatale, @thesokovianaccords, @steggyisimmortal, @bitememarvelcanon, and anyone else who might want to do it (I’m missing two, so jump in there! :)

6, 10, 39 for the X Files asks
6. 1993 Gillian or 2017 Gillian?
2017 (or present) Gillian. She’s mature, her message is strong and consistent, she doesn’t take crap. She’s still beautiful and I can’t stop looking at her.
10. Who is your favorite character aside from Mulder and Scully?
Tough call. Probably a toss-up between Skinner and Doggett. Rule followers who have a soft spot for Scully. Followed very closely by all of the Lone Gunmen.
39. When do you think Mulder and Scully first started dating?
Around or after Millennium. I have no real explanation for it. That’s pretty much always been my head canon.
Thanks for asking!

Audience participation: With the Winter Olympics upon us, can we expect to see this make an appearance in another chapter of Special Relationship? :D
That’s right, those are in February!
I hadn’t thought about it, but now that you mention it...the games will take place in PyeongChang, South Korea, sixty miles south of the DMZ, ice skating is always a fun, romantic activity that usually ends with someone falling on their faces, the potential for Peggy curling up in one of Steve’s sweaters...
yeah this is definitely a thing that is happening

Here’s a line from my only 5 months overdue Secret Santa gift for @formerlyir . It’s not the latest line, because then all you’d get is someone saying “Uh huh” with no context, but it’s a recent one. And it’s more than one line. Apparently I am really not good at following instructions.
Timmins, their overzealous junior radio man, relayed the message to Peggy while she was in the canteen having a cup of tea. (He always seemed to track her down at the most inconvenient times. It was on the tip of her tongue to ask him if he was going to pop up in the ladies’ lavatory next.)
I’m not tagging a person for every word, but here goes: @quiquimora @theawkwardterrier @steggyisimmortal @nevermindirah @buckywiththegoodhair86 @followingyourbliss @penny4alittlehope @womenarethesequel @3pirouette @bearholdingashark and anyone else reading this!

Agent Carter
Tactical Insertion by TriplePirouette / @3pirouette
One of the best and loveliest executions of ‘Steve in Agent Carter timeline’. So gracefully weaving Steve into Peggy’s adventures, adding extra layers of feels.
~ * ~
Fred Wells
‘S Wonderful, ‘S Marvelous by @teaandatale
I should be angry at this fic for a false promise of great romantic experience if you go for a work-related retreat, but can’t help squashing your own desires down when you get to read about Peggy getting it. And right in front of Fred’s punchable face.
~ * ~
On the run
Make a run for it by @rachlovesligers
It’s not the kind of escape you expect, but perhaps because of it it’s actually extra dramatic? I mean, it’s both Peggy and Steve joining forces, so theatrics are involved.
~ * ~
Sweet Dreams lipstick
this knockout ficlet by @roboticonography
A classic on the topic. I’d even dare to say the classic.
~ * ~
Edwin Jarvis and Ana Jarvis
Foolish by chasingkerouac
Good thing Edwin and Ana are here to save the day when misadventures happen. Their appearance is maybe small here, but I like this kind of accidental first meetings.
~ * ~
What if
Where you go (I’ll follow) by svgurl410
Because I always loved them ending up together, no matter the universe.
~ * ~
SHIELD
The Director you wish to reach is unavailable at the moment by @doctorhelena
This is the kinda petty and maybe unhealthy way of coping, but if a  grand and important career fucks up private life you have to fuck it out of your system. Seriously though, it’s a surprisingly emotional argument leads to sex (and SHIELD is to blame for the anger).
~ * ~
Canon Compliant
Queen of the 107th by Fyre
What’s more canon compliant than showing Howlies in awe of Peggy, her winning the canonically certified pushup contest, and Steve supporting her all the way.
~ * ~
Steve doesn’t crash
And the sun hits ground by @steggyisimmortal
Okay, so this one is a stretch - not a cheat, but a stretch! Steve does crash, but he’s found soon after. I took this category as “how would things go if Steve didn’t crash into ice for 70 years”, so it may as well be read as such, because the impact of him being MIA only for a few months is different than him being gone almost a century.
~ * ~
Sam Wilson
The honeymoon phase by @roboticonography
Sam probably enjoys the hilarity of it all, having some laugh at Steve’s expense, but I also think he deserves some more good treats for dealing with his friend’s craze. This level of amused-but-exasperated reminds me of the time I had a talk with my bff who was freaking out about “partially” losing her virginity... don’t ask.
~ * ~
The right partner
The right partner by @steggyisimmortal
Come on, I couldn’t not go for that one. It even has a fitting title! And an even more fitting plot that will make you all carry watermelons to join the party (lol, sorry for the lame joke, but since this fic is based on Dirty Dancing it had to be done).
~ * ~
Colonel Phillips
Happy accident by Shatterpath
It has one of those enjoyable harsh-but-supportive portrayals of Phillips. And the story itself reads smoothly, giving lots of feels.
~ * ~
Reread an old fave
You can’t take the sky from me by @indiefic
I will use any excuse to reread that story. This is my fic. All time fave. My true love of all fics. My preciousss. I will be buried with a printed copy of it.
~ * ~
Steve’s blood
Slim chances and mad decisions by alianora
Mostly sad and angsty, but isn’t everything that has to deal with the last vial of Steve’s blood?
~ * ~
Soulmate AU
Soulmarks series by @formerlyir
How could I not pick this one up? The choice was obvious. It was the first that came to my mind when I read “soulmate AU”. Like that time Evans and Scarlett were asked about who’s the hottest and before the question was even finished Chris blurted out “Hemsworth!” That was my brain with this fic when seeing the category.
~ * ~
Natasha Romanoff
this ficlet by @lavellenchanted
So Natasha isn’t even personally present, but it’s her that becomes the focus and instigates some confessions. Nat’s powerful like that.
~ * ~
One timeline
Time heals all wounds by @indiefic
I’d say it’s a punch-to-the-guts story that lies mostly forgotten, until someone fishes it out of the archives. Much like that interview with Peggy.
~ * ~
Domestic life
Warm in December by @notlucy
I’m not claiming that winter season is best background for fluff and domesticity, but this fic may prove that theory. Cozy, sweet, just perfect.
~ * ~
The Griffith
this delightful ficlet by @rachlovesligers
A cheeky peek at the power Steve has over women, even the dragon ladies as scary as Miss Fry, hahaha. It’s also one of those stories that immediately come to mind when thinking of the category.
~ * ~
Battlefield
In the heat of the battle by @littlereyofsunlight
I almost forgot how this fic keeps you at the edge of your seat, occasionally punching you back with feels. It was a thrill rereading it again for this challenge.
~ * ~
Contains fave trope
On ceremony by CapandCarter
Enemies to lovers is one of my fave tropes. Sprinkled with arranged marriage it’s even more potent. Though be warned, the urge to smack Peggy over the head with a frying pan appears quite often in the beginning.
~ * ~
Multiple timelines
Dark ways by @indiefic
This is twisted and perhaps not the very first thought of many when thinking of multiple timelines, but it fills the category. At some point there are even two Steves from two different timelines. And it’s so deliciously dark and fucked up.
~ * ~
Pre-Canon
Where poppies grow by @beautifulwhensarcastic
It’s not cheating if it fits the category and if the author herself thinks it’s a good story worth promoting (and I do).

I was tagged by my new friend (we’re friends now sorry) @steggyisimmortal
Rules: tag nine users you want to get to know better.
How old are you?: 24
Current Job/Dream Job?: My dream job would be being a doctor, but since i can’t get into med school by 0,3 of my grading; I am working on my masters in order to get a proper 9-5 (8-4 if possible lol) job, well paid and which will allow me to travel and write and buy nice things. I would like to be a writer as well, but hey, that’s my hobbie. And oh, I work in retail to pay for rent and my fees.
What are you talented at?: Baking and writing. And guessing jean’s sizes in people.
What is a big goal you are working towards (or have already achieved)?: Travelling. Just me, a backpack and my camera. I should start saving but I need to pay bills and stuff.
What is your aesthetic?: Cofee shop, a computer and a girl in a messy bun and a hoodie. Oh, maybe some cake with her.
Do you collect anything?: Not really. When I have more money I want to start buying posters and art from redbubble and etsy and society6 and yeah.
What is a topic you’re always up to talk about?: TV shows and movies. Food. Music. Politics if you’re not an hypocrite.
What’s a pet peeve of yours?: Slow people. Just move faster.
Good advice to give?: I’m really emphatic so most times when people ask me help, I tend to listen carefully and help them as much as I can. Depending on the topic my advice will be better than others. In romantic situations, if the situation can be relatable to a romance story I have read, I have the answer.
Recommend three songs?: Heaven- OneRepublic. Way back when - Kodaline. All I Ask- Adele. Tagging: @markwatneyandensemble, @thesokovianaccords, @gimmethatfictionalcharacter, @shieldposts and whoever wants to do this (too lazy to tag more)

Pray You Catch Me
read it on the AO3 at http://ift.tt/2DKeoEV
by steggyisimmortal
“And how is that any different from this situation?” she asked, her voice deathly quiet.
They stared at one another in a stalemate. As much as Peggy wanted Howard to stay quiet she wanted him to keep digging his grave. It had been ages since their last real fight. They usually blew over in a few days. She didn’t feel the same happening to this time. This felt worse. Damaging. This wasn’t just a passing idea she could talk him out of. It wasn’t just a device he hadn’t realized had explosive properties. It wasn’t a business deal he blew off because he didn’t like the deal on the table.
This was playing god for the highest bidder.
“If you don’t stop this nonsense, you’ll force my hand.”

Missing link, fairy tales, gym choux, oh snap
Missing Link -  is there anything you eat rarely but always look forward to?Hmm, I think holiday food? I eat poppy seed cake only twice a year, for Christmas and Easter. Also rabbit in white wine sauce.
Fairy Tales - do you have a fair where you are and if so, what’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten at one?We do have a special fair in August, but the food there is pretty normal. At least normal for me, lol. There's nothing weird that I've eaten at the fair.
Gym Choux - do you have a favorite pastry or were you even aware pastries came in types?Lol, I'm aware there are types. I'm not sure if I have one favourite, though. Maybe croissants.
Oh Snap already answered here :)

Are you a Christmas movie person?
I am! 😅 I don't do whole day/evening marathons, but I like rewatching some of my faves before Christmas. Granted, there are many Christmas movies, but I don't like all of them, so that narrows it down for me, too. Home Alone is always a must. Also National Lampoon's, Elf, Holiday, Miracle on 34th Street, Love Actually. And a few others.
Also @steggyisimmortal have a tradition of watching together new Netflix Christmas movies every year (and being very judgy, obviously, LOL) This year Single All The Way was our number one, with LoveHard in close second 😉
Thanks for the ask!
