One of my very favorite people on this site!! 🥺 You are so compassionate and thoughtful, and it's always so clear how much you want to learn, which is super commendable. I LOVE all your meta -- I'm always in awe when someone plops Scenario X in front of you and within minutes it's just "ok well I can see why this happened but also this other thing and here are possible reasons for that but also it's fucked up for these reasons and --" It's just....the therapy-informed analysis? It's so, so good and I'm so glad you share it with us on a regular basis.

Not to mention you're a really talented writer and your artwork is adorable. Your head canons routinely just make me clutch my chest and heave all the happy sighs. You're such a gift to fandom and just life in general. I am truly delighted every time I see you pop up on my dash.

I've been working on my EXTREMELY nerdy SMAU!! (I actually haven't written anything in a week, but maybe I'll write some tonight?)

But here, have a snippet of the next pivotal scene between Stede and Ed

“Edward,” Stede whines, slightly indignant.

Ed grins in response. Stede can tell by the way his eyes crinkle, even though his mouth is obscured by his beard.

“You are absolutely incorrigible,” Stede groans, but it’s half-hearted.

Ed reaches across the table to slap Stede’s arm and laughs, a bright joyful sound.

Stede spent far too much of his life being laughed at, teased mercilessly, mocked and belittled for daring to be different.

But it’s different with Ed. Ed’s laughter is like collapsing into a warm bed after a long busy day in the lab, Ed’s laughter is like his favourite home cooked meal, Ed’s laughter is the opening chords to his very favourite song.

And that’s because Stede knows that Ed is always laughing not at, but with him.

Ed is always laughing with him.

When I think of you, I think of warmth. You are just consistently kind and engaging and vulnerable and lovely, and that really shines through in your writing -- both your WIP and in your posts here that just wreck my heart in the best possible way. Truly, I read your work and my heart just lets out a blissful sigh.

You are so thoughtful and compassionate and genuinely care about people, and I know anyone who is lucky enough to have you as a therapist would feel extremely cared for.
