☆ Epic Mafia: Session#1! ☆

Within Pumpkin’s Picking Patch, past the orange gourds and kegs of apple cider, there lies a cornfield, stretching as far as the eye can see. The titular plants stand tall and proud, completely overshadowing you with it’s eye. While you stand there, amazed at the spectacle, you feel a soft nose nudging you, which prompts you to turn around and see a very, very fluffy sheep. It motions to a nearby wooden sign which reads “ BEAT THE CORN MAZE! “ with “ only in groups “ written in small text under it. Looking at the entrance to the field, you see that there are already people gathered. It wouldn’t hurt to give it a shot, would it? As you slowly begin your approach, the sheep speaks up again, saying to “ beware the scarecrow “, and to try to get out as quickly as possible. In your surprise, you try to ask what they mean-- but, unfortunately, the radiant creature has already begun to trot off. Huh.

Perhaps it doesn’t mean all that much. Why not give this a try?

Walking away from the group, corn field left behind, 9S finally feels he can breathe a little. He’s managed to get by, somehow. He’s good, at the very least, at keeping himself together, when he knows what goal he has at the end of it. Perhaps it helped to be around other people, somewhere deep down inside him. Being alone, he knew, was the one thing that he couldn’t tolerate. And yet, he had been alone here, having kept himself to himself, tearing himself apart on the inside and wishing he could on the outside as well –

Ah, if only 2B would ever have wished for that... if only 2B were here.

He closes his eyes briefly. If he thinks of her too much, then he might not be able to stand anymore. Looking back towards Lucina, he gives an apologetic smile, grateful she cannot really see his face. “Sorry about back there. We were with a crazy group, huh?” He can’t help wondering what became of 2B’s sword – if she still has it, if it’s still here – but that’s something else altogether. More importantly...

“Besides that...” He swallowed. “Do you have a minute? There was something... I wanted to ask you about.”

Thanatos says she wants Dallas captured so she can bring him to justice. Kalona leaves to hunt him down, and Stark goes to join him.

Stevie Rae asks if her red fledglings are okay, and is assured that Kalona and Aurox guarded them during the day, and Darius joined them when they learned what had happened to Stevie Rae. Which makes me question the timeline of events yet again, because Stecie Rae was attacked shortly after dawn and Shaunee ran for help as soon as she made sure Stevie Rae was safely out of the sun. So... Darius should also have been guarding the red fledglings all day.

They discuss who Dallas' targets are and his motives. Shaunee says he's mad at Zoey's whole circle and blames them for Erin's death. Aphrodite says that's ridiculous and Neferet is really to blame - is this sounding familiar yet? Yeah, we've hears this all before.

“A market? I have to get it all! These deals won’t be around long!!!!” He’s more than happy to dance around the stalls, searching for anything of interest, but! Yumihiko, it’s not a deal if you’re buying everything! How are you going to save any money like this?!

      Sheep virus? Ha! Peacock didn’t think anything of it at first, chalking it up to an epidemic that would affect everyone besides her.

      That is, until she realized her shows were replaced by sheep, her phone would do nothing but produce sheep text and emojis, and her entire argus system has been tampered with. While she can still see, it seems her pupils have been replaced with adorable sheep, and her voice now sounds a bit higher pitched than usual. Whoever did this is gonna have to answer to the end of her shotgun barrel!

      Oh, look, that’s exactly what she’s trying to do to some poor soul now. Peacock has grabbed the collar of their clothing and pinned them against the wall. She has a feeling they didn’t cause whatever the hell this is, but she’s gotta take her anger out on someone!

      “Listen, buddy, y’got on the count of three to tell me who is responsible fer this hacking nonsense!”

      ... Wait, did she pull out a sheep instead of a gun? Ugh! Where the hell is Avery!?

                                           EVENT START!

as the sun lowers in the sky, suddenly the surrounding area comes alight. one after the other, trees and vines and flowers illuminate with light, heralding the start of the celebration that has been whispered about across the entire city: The Vernal Ball. petals and leaves and everything in between are limned in a rosy glow, bringing them to light as the true guests of honor for the evening -- after all, this is a night to celebrate life, love, and growth of all sorts. 

the air hums with anticipation of the events to come, benches are wreathed and wrapped with lights and lilies, and a few sheep in bowties stumble through trying to find the best way to balance trays of snacks, drinks, and flowers on their fluffy backs. the dull thrum of feedback can be heard as the music equipment is plugged into a piece of equipment with more knobs than you care to count (and you have to wonder briefly if the sheep DJ really even knows what all of them do.)

but as you peek through the stunning sight of the garden rustling gently in the last breezes of the evening, you can see the candles and tables and countless elegant decorations beneath canvas tents that all frame the center of the area for the celebrations -- the dance floor set out in the open grass, a sprawling spectacle that will surely be the scene of countless smiles, unbridled laughter, unadulterated joy, carefree dancing....                               and memories to cherish for years to come.

so what are you waiting for?

The Dragon District is home (quite literally) to the very prestigious Gâteau Château, and, further beyond that, the Ramen Ramsions. Looking at the invitation card you hold in your hand, you know that you have the right address but, at the same time... you wish you didn’t. The house before you is more magnificent than anything you’ve every set your eyes on, with sparkling windows, perfectly laid out brickwork, and lush, autumn colored greenery. You feel like the stonework that went into the walkways costs more than you’ll ever earn in your lifetime. “ In celebration of the Fall Harvest, I have gathered the best cooks in the city to create a wide array of seasonal dishes. “ the card had said in fancy, cursive lettering. “ Feel free to try entrees from Stuffed Turkey Acorn Squash, gourmet pumpkin pie, wild rice and wintershroom soup, and other luxury dishes made by the very best. If you have any sense of status, be sure to attend. “ Byakuya Toraami certainly... has his way with words. 

It’s free food, so why complain, really? Let’s hope that the lights aren’t a problem this time.

“Fullmetal Baalchemist: Braatherherd,” Staring at the flat casing given to her by a sheep, Nina was a bit confused, “Bluray?”

Gods, what was a bluray?  The narrow hard case looked a bit like a very small tome, but no pages, and sealed in some kind of plastic.  Was it some kind of forbidden item, permitted only by a few to open? 

Holding it up, it wasn’t transparent or seem to have anything hidden on it.. Perhaps... Was it just junk?  It was free, so was it’s value something to be envied or something less expensive.  “What am I supposed to do with this?”  Throwing it not unlike a frisbee in a random direction.........nailing someone right in the head. “Oh.”

This scroll has a blue bookmark attached to it. The illustration on it shows a small sheep on the moon.

☆ Location: Lollipop Library ☆ Objective: Find the little sheep’s hiding place!

☆ Description: 

“I am looking for friends. What does that mean -- tame?"

"It is an act too often neglected," said the fox. "It means to establish ties."

"To establish ties?" 

"Just that," said the fox. "To me, you are still nothing more than a little sheep who is just like a hundred thousand other little sheep. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world....”

Information for the muns:

☆ The treasure is in a hidden room on the third floor! You need to pull a certain book for an entrance to be revealed (a bookcase will slide to the side to reveal a secret room).

☆ It is a book by the name of “Le Petit Mouton” and can be found in the children’s section. The quest’s description and hint are both quotes from the book.

☆ This room is akin to a study room and has tables, shelves and comfortable chairs. There is a note on the table that reads “Show us you have completed this quest at the City Council and we will give you an additional reward!”

Computer? Ha-baa-cked

Now that he’d been officially settled down in the Wool Over Eyes investigation squad, Alfendi had hoped that: with only having gotten into the office yesterday, he might have time to actually make it look a little more like the Mystery Room, so not miss ‘home’ as much while he was stuck here: but one of the sheep assistants (who honestly just made him miss Lucy more) ran into the office all a-panic.

Something bad had happened? It held a phone in it’s wool, and Alfendi raised a brow to pick it up...and goodness. What an awful lot of sheep things there were on the phone. The icons were sheep, there were tiny sheep bouncing around the screen...

“...What on earth am I looking at?”

Moving to the office’s computer to check if it was only the assistant’s phones that had been hit with those strange changes: only to see all the application icons had been changed to sheep. The background, sheep. An application that spawned those tiny sheep that had been bouncing around the assistant’s phone: and a message.

A hacker who’d hit the entire city? It seemed that was what the sheep was wanting him to pay attention to.

He felt a headache, and then, ‘Placid’ was no longer in-control.

Alfendi’s voice changed to a soft, dangerous tone that made the sheep back away in alarm. “You mean to say, this is what’s considered a ‘important case’ right now? Something as inane and time-wasting as this? If I find the one responsible for this utter waste of time - because I’m willing to bet the sheep in charge will just eventually fix it on their own and ignore the requests to update the computer - I’m personally going to grab the mouse lead they used and strangle them with it!”

Placid’s point was ignored, due to Potty’s bad mood in general, and the sheep backed out of the office completely in a nervous manner, backing away as the now red-haired inspector stalked out. 

Placid had a feeling that with Potty’s bad mood yesterday, he’d be more irritable than usual, so he wasn’t surprised that he showed up now. All the same, Potty seemed intent on trying to find whoever was responsible now, Placid could only hope they understood that Potty...well, it was sort of a ‘Good Cop, Bad Cop’ thing. He was the good cop, and Potty was the bad one.

However, even he wouldn’t outright attack a person as he claimed he would in threats. (Because that was against the rules of the job, though Potty usually took free rein to insult them a lot.) Though that wasn’t to say that he wasn’t unpredictable - he hoped whoever Potty met would be careful.
