based on wonbin‘s storyline in the love 119 mv
one step at a time
one aspect of school that wonbin enjoys is the feeling of leaving it when the bell rings. his friends always ask him to hang out with them after school, but wonbin doesn’t have time to do that.
he has somewhere to be.
it’s been a few weeks since wonbin has been hurrying to the train station this fast after school. the reason for this is her.
wonbin looks at her from a distance as he arrives at the train station, wondering how someone can be so beautiful.
she is wearing earphones and her eyes are closed. it looks like she is really immersed in the music. wonbin is staring at her, wondering what she’s listening to. would it be weird if he’d go and sit down next to her?
wonbin is asking himself if she has noticed him too. she must have, after all these weeks of taking the same train home as him.. there’s no way she didn’t know about his existence, right?
wonbin takes a deep breath in. using up all the courage he has in him, he walks over to her and sits down.
trying to sneak a look at her, he sees that she didn’t open her eyes. wonbin sighs. he had hoped that she would look to see who’s sitting down next to her. in his mind, wonbin had already prepared his best smile to show her. well, too sad that thought didn’t come true. yet.
nervously, wonbin starts playing with his fingers. he doesn’t even know why he’s nervous. he’s just simply sitting next to her.. but if that’s already enough to make him feel like this, he doesn’t want to know how he will act when she finally acknowledges his existence.
the bench the two of them were sitting on wasn’t that big, so the fact that wonbins hand was a few inches away from hers made his heart race.
how can you feel this way for someone you don’t even really know?
it’s hard for wonbin to not look at her again, so he casts another glance at her, observing how she's discreetly singing along to whatever music she's now listening to. it makes him smile, knowing that she’s in her own world. he’s wondering what she’s thinking about and if she’s feeling his warmth because he’s sitting so close to her.
actually, there’s a lot of things he’s wondering about her. and he wishes that he could talk to her, so his questions can get answered, but wonbin is afraid.
if you just keep looking at someone you have a crush on without pursuing any actions, you can’t get hurt. at least that’s what wonbin tells himself.
when wonbin looks at the signboard, he notices that the train is expected to arrive in two minutes. his shoulders drop a little.
so that’s it.
another day of him being too afraid to talk to her.
he looks down at his fingers, trying to stay positive.
this is not the last time he’s going to see her, right? so the fact that today he was able to gather up his strength and sit down next to her, means that maybe next time, he will finally be able to talk to her.
one step at a time.
when the train arrives, wonbin rises up, but when he hears something fall down next to him, his eyes follow it.
it was the book she had placed on her lap. it must have fallen as she stood up. wonbin hurriedly bends down to pick it up.
when he straightens himself again, he realizes that this is the moment for him to put on his best smile, so he does it when he gives her the book back.
his fingers briefly touch hers and it feels like electricity started to flow through them.
his heart starts racing, much faster than it has ever done before, and wonbin feels like it’s going to burst out of his chest, especially when she thanks him with a soft smile on her face.
when she walks into the train, wonbin isn't too disappointed. not even when he misses the train because he remains stunned on the platform. not even when he stares after her as the train departs.
today, he saw her smile. at him. for the first time.
maybe next time, he will see her laugh.
one step at a time.

lil easter egg in 8x2 and 8x3
When all the trucks are getting called out to the airport in 8x2, the 119 gets called out as well (aka the station number on the fake truck from Hotshots)
When all the trucks get called from the airport to the freeway in 8x3, the 119 doesn't get called out. Why? Cuz it's already there
#911#911 abc#911 spoilers#I know I'm late to the episode sorry if this has been pointed out a thousand times already#I just think it's a neat lil thing to include#(this is based entirely on the assumption that the stations always get called in the same order aka that 119 should always come after 118)

i get it. so the 119 is the station in a fictional firefighter drama in 911verse. called Firehouse 119. and they respond to a call on the set of Firehouse 119, which none of them have ever watched. so buck starts watching it and two of the male mains are clearly about to get together. buck has so many theories about how it’s going to happen that he stumbles upon F119blr. and he makes a blog dedicated to his favorite character ummmm Eduardo who was a marine and has a daughter and they just made him gay. and he gains a following arguing that Eduardo and his best friend could not possibly be anything but platonic because he and EDDIE act like that!! and all of his anon hate is about how he might be delusional about his own life

New specs post 8x02 and 8x03 promo
The plane seems to be actively falling apart, they have to land on the ground as soon as possible. The airframe's structural integrity is compromised, any second more they spend airborne heightens the risk of the whole plane breaking into pieces.
So they're landing on a highway. It's not ideal, but it has been done before. That landing was successful but the left wing unfortunately collided with a gas station of all things.😬 I don't see a gas station on this highway.
So, everyone else is in the hangar at LAX, but the 119 truck with Bobby, Buck and Nobby Bash in it is still on the way. They'll probably be the first line of rescue, as they happen to be on the same highway when the plane makes an emergency landing.
The plane will likely be on fire after landing, maybe one of the wing strikes an obstacle or the weakened fuselage finally gives way, rupturing a fuel pipe or a fuel tank. At the airport with ARFF trucks full of fire retardant foam, they can handle an aircraft fire, but here it'll likely be Bobby, Buck and Nobby Bash rushing in to pull out the injured with only a fake firetruck on their hands. The 118, 217 and co will arrive on scene after that.
Buck in danger, worried Tommy anyone?

A Consideration of 1st Lt. Edward Little of HMS Terror (As Played by Matthew McNulty)
The thing about Lt. Edward Little is that he had the highest ideals and yet was set up in so many ways to fail them.
We occasionally see glimpses of the man Edward Little must have been in order to be appointed First Lieutenant on a very prestigious expedition: reliable, capable, stalwart.
(Continued below the cut, as this got very long)
He had that, before, when he was doing the job he was trained for, ie running a ship at sea. What he hasn’t been trained for at all is managing 129 126 119 105 ? men stuck in pack ice in endless night, later trudging over ice and shale, trying to keep them busy and out of trouble and from getting killed by a demon bear. Of course he’s out of his depth, but honestly aren’t most of them? Of the lieutenants Gore (RIP) is the only one who seems to be in his element and he’s the only one with Arctic experience so that tracks. Even Le Vesconte is getting by on charisma and the power of peer pressure, neither of which actually make for competent officering. So that’s the scene he’s stuck in, and no wonder he’s out of his depth.
Then we have the circumstances specific to Edward Little. He's spent the first two-plus years of the voyage as the first for a captain who is very depressed and increasingly alcoholic. As Crozier's state deteriorates and especially after Franklin dies, Little has to tread a very fine and somewhat blurry line. He has to cover for Crozier, picking up the slack that is inevitably dropped; he also has to prop Crozier up in such a way that his leadership as Captain isn't undermined with the crew. A big part of both of those is making sure that the right questions are being asked, that all practicalities are being factored in, but he has to ask those questions without seeming to question Crozier’s authority. Thus he must essentially be an acting captain without seeming to do so either to the men or to Crozier . He is not someone who wants power per se; in fact I think what he wants most is to be a good and competent 1st Lt. But because he's under an semi-incapacitated captain, he has no choice but to take on some of that power while appearing to be no more than a loyal lieutenant. He's leading without being seen to lead, and he's already seen Crozier flog three men for among other things insubordination and disrespect (and without due process).
Crozier has also put him in a position of having to lie - both directly and by omission! For example, when questioned he tells Fitzjames (who outranks him) "much to do on Terror is all” - leaving JFJ to draw his own conclusions on the source of that “much” and the extent to which it is falling on Little. The instruction to procure more whiskey “discreetly” is nearly if not actually insulting in how far below Little's rank it is. Having to do it “discreetly” is even worse. He is being treated as an errand boy, and not just an errand boy but one tasked with something that is clearly unsavory, even illicit. By ordering him to to this, he makes Little complicit in the very vice that is causing all of these problems, and Little by virtue of his position is unable to refuse any of these direct orders, even ones that are way below his station. (The fact that Jopson, Crozier's actual steward who was actually in charge of these things, was not given that task is also telling although I’m not sure of what - perhaps that Crozier wanted someone who outranked the Erebus’ steward to do the asking; perhaps that he felt some shame in asking Jopson.)
Through all of this, Little is having to cover for a man who continues to lose his own respect in ways both large and small, personal and professional. Crozier has endangered the crew for which Little feels himself bound to care - leading directly to Blanky losing his leg - and has spoken flippantly of the situation ("How fares the raft of the Medusa?"). In 1x04, he is clearly galled by both the disregard of due process and severity of Hickey’s punishment. (While both are not unstandard in the Navy, Crozier’s manner makes it seem like spite as much as anything - which I’m sure Little clocked.) Overall, Little observes him making inebriated decisions that are based as much on his internal demons as any the practicalities at hand while men continue to die under his watch. This erosion of trust will come back to haunt them all, because even when its causes have been overcome, the deep root and the effects are there. (JFJ gets to have reckonings with Crozier and say his piece in a way that Little never does or will.)
Edward Little also cares deeply about the welfare of his men, perhaps more than anything. Command is a responsibility not just to the navy but to those whose lives his decisions affect. And so he as he sees this disregard for them (and for himself) he is angry, and he is in a profession and position where one is not allowed to be angry with one's superiors. So he spends a lot of his time pretending that he is not quietly furious while carrying out orders that he knows he shouldn't be, and hiding it from everyone , even Fitzjames, because he is also, deep in his heart, loyal (even if he feels it is unearned) and married to Naval structures. Crozier and JFJ have their reckoning, but Little never gets that, because subordinates aren’t allowed to be angry.
This combination, the lack of trust both given and received, the anger, the care & loyalty, the necessity to fill the void in leadership, means that he asks a lot of questions . A well placed "Are you sure, sir?" can go a long way. "Yes, but--" is not a phrase that would often have been uttered to a commander by a lieutenant, but Little has not just earned but hard won the right to say it. Every time he questions Crozier, I think it is out of a sense of duty, not defiance. A duty to the expedition, to Crozier, and above all to the men, because for so long Crozier’s judgement was not something he was able to rely on. He can’t even attend a sunrise party without thinking of the supplies that are being used up!
To top everything off, he also never appears to be someone who is particularly congenial nor gregarious, he is very aware of his rank, and is competent while not being loved (except by me). I like to imagine that he and Jopson and Macdonald were able to commiserate in some way as Crozier was going through his detox. But everyone is so conscious of class & rank & secrets being guarded that it seems unlikely that anyone actually confided in each other. By getting dry and in such dramatic fashion, Crozier earns back his loyalty & respect, but by doing so in secret I wonder if he hasn't further eroded Little's relationship with the other lieutenants. Do they even know Crozier is drying out or is Little lying to them as well as to the entire rest of the crew? Little does not seem like a man who cares for lying, and covering up the captain's "gastritis" would only have made Little feel more cut off and burdened by the captain's confidence. (To say nothing of the fact that all of this is going on with the Tuunbaaq in the background - these lieutenants were not designed to contend with alcoholic spirits let alone the spirit world.)
Crozier’s trust does often end up being more burden than anything, and it’s beyond the responsibility that would normally come with his rank. That moment when he practically shoves the pistol away from him is so telling of this. We really were robbed of the moment when Little is so angry after leaving Crozier that he can’t even slam his door: because that’s what’s building up this entire time!
By covering for Crozier both before and during his sobering up, Little probably lost some of his authority over the crew. They know he's hiding something, and that earns some distrust. He's obviously worn out, and there must be some observation that Crozier is literally using him as an errand boy. In the best of circumstances the commanding-without-commanding is a hard line to walk while maintaining one’s own air of authority. He's also angry, and in working so hard to cover and subdue his anger, what he's left with is the "sad, wet man" that fandom has dubbed him. The crew may not know exactly what’s going on (although what do those men have to do besides gossip) but they must have sensed how Little is being worn away. As much as he cares for them, he wouldn’t fraternize - it seems like he barely fraternizes in the wardroom. (Which is why that moment of camaraderie with Jopson outside Crozier’s cabin is so important to me personally.)
That brings us to the mutiny. We may love a sad, wet man, but in the face of a charismatic mutineer he's never going to match up. He doesn't have the authority, the love of the crew, or really the energy to go against it. At this point, he has no reason to know or suspect that a mutiny is what's the offing in the first place! He is someone who wants to believe the best of his men, and he's been given no reason to doubt Tozer's motives. And what was he supposed to do in the face of a marine sergeant surrounded by frightened, armed men? They are clearly on edge and afraid, a dangerous combination. He is practical, and although ultimately it loses him even more face by going along with Tozer, he was never going to be able to stop that in its tracks. Even JFJ wasn’t able to reel back in what had already been done. So he chooses the pragmatic route: agree publicly to the logic, let Tozer do with him what he's been doing with Crozier, in making the subordinate's idea appear to be the superior's. With the situation and facts at hand, what else is he to do?
The irony is that Little has been quietly looking out for all of them and their best interests for so long; but because it was so quiet, an undercurrent, when it comes down to brass tacks, none of them have ever seen that, or feel that they owe him any respect or loyalty. Tozer and Hickey appear to be men of action, and unfortunately in a moment like this a group of frightened men is going to follow the one who appears strongest.
I also want to point out that Crozier specifically says *while the fog holds off*. Well the fog has rolled in! The situation changed! Crozier clearly has suspicions of Hickey and Tozer that he hasn't confided to Little, and whose fault is that! When it comes to investigating Irving’s and Farr’s murders, Little asks what the evidence is, which suggests to me that he has no knowledge of any concerns about Hickey that have arisen post-lashing. Again, he is inclined to trust them.
One of the realest moments we get from him is "I'm the worst kind of sorry." It's one of the very few times he breaks from naval demeanor. The worst kind because he feels it deeply, but also because he was stuck, and he knows it, and also knows the expectations both from himself and from others that he be Better.
What it comes down to is what he says to Hodgson: "All we have are our instincts and training. If both told you to proceed with what you ordered, then be easy with yourself." That is all Little has had for so long. He certainly doesn’t seem to be having heart to hearts with Irving and Hodgson, let alone JFJ and Crozier; his counterpart on Erebus is long gone. Who has he to confide in, especially at this juncture of events, when there are no clear paths and no right answers. I imagine this is what he told himself over and over in the long watches of the night.
And yet!! Matthew McNulty has said that “Little's probably one of the most hopeful out of them all. [...] He still thinks that humanity will prevail in this dark, dark world.” I’m not sure where to put this, but I think it’s important. I think it’s part of why he doesn’t always quite have the authority he should: poor, worn down Edward Little sees the best and hopes for the best, and can’t quite reckon that not everyone has the same moral compass he does. That’s why Tozer & Hickey get the best of him, because he wants to believe the best of them. He doesn’t compromise his moral compass or belief in humanity, and unfortunately that turns into a blind spot.I think it’s also why Tozer invites him to join them: because some part of him recognizes that they both have that idealism deep down. They are both doing their best in an inconceivable situation to cling to hope and take care of those they see as under their protection. It pains me to think what they could have accomplished had they worked together rather than against each other.
(Incidentally, I don’t believe Little ever would have been swayed to join them, but I can’t blame him for the fact that Tozer’s claim about Crozier leaving them gave him pause. He’s seen Crozier finally grow into a commander he can respect, but to find out that Crozier’s judgment was not just impaired for so long but extended to actively planning to abandon ship & crew, as Tozer frames, as he was working so hard to hold things together - even if he doesn’t believe it, in his heart of course there must have been some doubt.)
All of these, the erosion of respect, the concern, the exhaustion, the lack of direction and support, the HOPE, come together in a moment for which he (unjustly, in my opinion) gets vilified for:
We’ve slowed our pace hauling some of the ill in the boats. But if we extend this temporary camp more than a few days, we can allow the ill to rest here while the bulk of us proceed south. We can hopefully find game and trek back for the others once we have something more to offer them–
And Jopson’s anger is both understandable and not unwarranted - but. Based on that look Le Vesconte gives him, this most likely is not a thought that originated with Little. It’s being grumbled by those hauling, maybe even obliquely discussed by the officers. That look says to me “It has to be said.” And it does, the logistics are evident to everyone and that needs to be discussed. They’re sending out hunting parties every day, sure, but in an area very close to the one they’re trekking through. It genuinely does make practical sense to have some unencumbered, able-bodied (relatively) men go ahead quickly to what would hopefully be better hunting grounds, while the sick conserve what strength they have: those able to hunt could move quickly and bring back game, while those who are dying could do so while not being jostled about on boats on shale. Little does not say (and, I think, would never say) that they should leave them behind entirely: only that this current system isn’t really helping anyone (and it isn’t). He needs to make sure that Crozier has fully considered the situation, because for so long that was not the case. (Historically, in fact, they did set up a hospital camp while a smaller party moved south.)
I actually do think he says this with hope: the hope that they really will find game, that the ill do just need to rest, that he can save as many of them as possible. He's also thinking of the practicalities and (though I may be biased) really does intend to return to the ill once they have something to actually provide them with. He doesn't say so that they can move on unencumbered, to better their own chances, he says to let them rest , to find something to offer them. He knows the situation and the feeling in camp, and that the time has come to have the conversation. It's not even necessarily a conversation he wants to have or believes in, but it has to be had. Once it's been talked about, once Crozier has come out with not just a position but a direction (to leave supplies behind if necessary), Little is entirely on board. Shortly thereafter, when Le Vesconte suggests the exact same thing, he retorts that " Most of us are ill" (note the us - the identification with) and further responds with disgust and anger that "The Captain also ordered that we not leave any man behind. You expediently leave that out." The Captain isn’t there; Jopson isn’t there: if Little really in any way wanted to leave anyone behind, this was his chance to order it and save himself. The fact is that he is still arguing for and trying to lead with compassion as well as duty; the fact that he can't override the more selfish majority doesn't negate that.
I wish we could see his decision to go with Le Vesconte even though he so clearly believes that these lesser mutineers are in the wrong; I know why we don't. I like to think that it's because he believes he's doing the best thing for all, that he knows one semi-able bodied man staying behind is not going to help anyone, and that by going south with the group he may be to able to sway them, or find game for the ill. But again - he has been put in a position where there is no right choice, and where any authority he had has been too far eroded to matter.
Regardless: we go from his vehement protestation that they must a) rescue their captain and b) not leave behind the ill to die to this:
A man completely broken, weathered almost beyond recognition, with his flesh pierced by and draped with the chains of watch fobs. That's fobs plural: they're clearly different chains, from different watches, from different men. But in still uniform. Because he clung to the to his identity, to hope, to grounding structure of the Navy in which he trained and believed, until the very end.
We don't know what happens in between. Is it madness? Did the mutineers do this to him? Is it penance? A memorization of the men whose watches those were? A punishment on himself for what happened on his watch - despite the fact that really, he was powerless to stop it? And this is the only watch he can keep now - watch chains in his face, his eyes forced open to the horrors. Or did 1st Lt. Edward Little spend so long suppressing his anger, marrying that anger to hope, being responsible, keeping confidences, bearing all that alone, with authority that is both shoved on him and disregarded - did he finally snap? Are the chains not a decoration, not a punishment, but an attempt to literally bind himself up and tack himself down to this terrible world where he’s found himself?
All we know for certain is his last word - “Close?” Close to what? To death? To salvation? The only comfort either Edward Little or we, the audience, will get - is that at the very end, his captain was there to release him from the duty to which he clung for so long, so fiercely, with so much hope.

Journalist Ismail Al-Ghoul gives an update on the difficult conditions and the dispersion of the remaining IOF troops in north Gaza. Instagram user faridaek provides a full English translation:
Very harsh conditions on day 119. Gaza is suffering from very severe cold, our extremities freeze due to the intensity of the cold in the north of the Gaza Strip. But the real challenge in the north is the lack of blankets and clothing after the occupying forces significantly destroyed the northern areas. We're talking about extensive destruction and a real disaster, we're afraid of children dying due to the lack of blankets and clothes. Currently, if some of the clothes get wet, families are unable to change out of them because of the shortage in the amount of clothing available. Regarding the current situation on the ground, intense artillery shelling continues, and occupation forces remain heavily stationed in Gaza City's southwestern areas, including Arafat City, Etisalat, Ansar, and Tel al-Hawa. These are the areas where they are still heavily present.

Love 119
Summary: Your best friend Anton has been working on a song project and is dying to share it with you!
Warnings: Male POV, SFW, Kissing, Fluff
Wordcount: 2.1k
It was early, like really, when you woke up. The sun wasn't even up yet, but your desk vibrated rhythmically. It was the third time it had done this. You were okay ignoring it at first, but it didn't seem like it would stop. You looked over at your phone on the desk, lighting up as it shook.
You sighed, rolled out of bed, and answered the phone, "Hello?"
"Y/n! Thank god you answered!" You heard Anton's voice and immediately hung up.
A few seconds later, he called again. "Don't hang up on me!"
"Don't call me at four in the morning! You have ten seconds before I hang up and block you," You yelled into the phone.
"You remember that song I've been working on? I think the song is ready!"
"So?"
"So!? So, you've gotta hear it!"
You rubbed your eyes," Why can't you just post it or send it, and I'll listen to it in the morning?"
"No way, you've gotta come here and listen to it in person. I want to see your face for an honest reaction."
"The trains aren't even running this early..."
"You can drive!"
"Nope."
"Uber?"
"No."
"Bike?"
"You must want me to hang up–"
"Please don't..."
"This will wait until the morning. I promise. I'll come see you first thing in the morning," You started walking back to your bed.
Anton seemed hesitant but sighed, "Okay, but I mean it. First thing! It's super important."
"Yeah, yeah, goodnight," You hung up the phone as you flopped back into bed. You drifted off to sleep, your phone still in hand.
In the daylight, you started getting dressed. A beanie and coat for the cold weather, headphones for the train, and a snack. For your tummy.
You were surprised Anton wasn't blowing up your phone like usual. Almost every morning, Anton would blow your phone up as he waited for you to meet him to go to school together. Since it was a weekend– Anton usually worked on music during the day but must've stayed up all night working on his song. He'd mentioned a project ages ago about a song, but that didn't tell you much about it. He was getting super in the dumps recently, almost depressed. Staying in, skipping class, and not hanging out with you as much. He wasn't usually so secretive and distant, so the song must've meant something special to him.
The train was cold but less crowded than usual– you could sit today. The ride to Anton's house took about 45 minutes. You set an alarm on your phone for 43 minutes, put on your headphones, and close your eyes. You couldn't help but wonder what the song was about.
A ballad? But Anton liked hip-hop styles, especially from his time traveling, so maybe that. About what thought?
Most hip-hop was about sex, drugs, or money. Anything else has some deep meaning hidden in the lyrics. Anton was the kind of guy to think of deep lyrics like that, so that makes sense for him to go for that. But what kind of message would he aim for?
You wracked your brain the whole time, not sleeping like planned.
The train stopped at its fourth stop, and you got off. The platform was almost empty in the cold morning. You could see your breath as you texted Anton.
YN: Did you not come to get me?
YN: Hello?
YN: No way you're still sleeping! After you woke me up so early!?
You started calling him as you walked away from the train platform, headed to his house. Anton had the nerve to wake you up in the middle of the night and demand you see him but not get you from the train station in the morning. He always came to meet you. You started getting nervous. You should've driven over when he called. Why could he not be answering?
You called him several times, but there was no answer, no text.
The nerves in your feet stung as you walked– more like fast-walked to Anton's house.
He had to be okay, right? He said he was fine seeing you in the morning– there's no way he'd be upset at you for this. Did the song matter that much?
Before you realized it, you were running toward his place. Your coat was open, and your beanie was in your hand. The cold bit at your ears and messed with your hair, and your eyes were dry, but tears were still at the edge of your eyes.
Anton had to be okay.
Finally, you reached his home. You knew the passcode to his door, so you opened it yourself. The house was warm inside, with light spilling in from the windows. It was quiet and still. Anton's house slippers were by the door.
Did he leave home? Where the hell could he go!?
You turned and ran back out the door, phone to your ear, as you called him again.
Fuck! No response.
You turned down the street and moved toward the cafe. Anton loved going there when he needed to get out of his room. You thought about the hours you'd spent there with him.
I should've been there for him.
Inside the cafe, it was quietly playing R&B. It was one of the songs Anton had shown you, Snooze by SZA.
The owner noticed you come in and the expression on your face, "Y/n? Something wrong?"
"I'm looking for Anton. He's not at home," You approached the counter.
"He stopped by here earlier for coffee. He’d been by a lot recently for double espressos. It doesn't look like he'd been sleeping recently, with the amount of dark circles he had."
Your eyes widened, "Do you know where he headed?"
"No, he mentioned something about the music shop," The owner nodded.
"I'll keep looking!" You ran out the door. Your legs were tired, and your lungs were working overtime, but you just had a feeling Anton needed you.
Where did you go, Anton?
You walked around town, lost and in a daze. You checked all of Anton’s favorite spots, and each place gave an idea that he was somewhere else. You barely missed him every time.
At the convenience store, the owner said, "He mentioned he'd left something at school. Maybe he's taking the train to go there. It should be around real soon."
Your chest heaved, and it hurt to breathe, but you kept running. The train was your best bet since it was on a schedule. When you reached the platform, a train was already waiting.
You ran onboard, looking around, just as you looked out the window.
Standing on the platform in a black coat, Anton looked around as people got off the train. His stupid brown hair blew in his face.
You jumped out of your seat and slipped between the doors as they were closing. One of the train officials yelled out to you, but you ignored them as you ran to Anton.
Anton turned to see you with an awkward smile—a cup of coffee in his hands.
You almost tackled him with how hard you slammed into him. "Jesus, you idiot, don't worry me like that," You hugged him.
"I-I worried you?"
"Yeah! Do you ever check your phone!?"
Anton checked his pockets, "I– where's my phone!?" He patted his pockets before realizing he didn't have it, "I'm so sorry, y/n."
"Whatever!" You pushed past him, storming toward his house.
Anton hurried after you, "Please don't be mad."
"It's too late! I ran all around the area looking for you! This song better be worth it!"
"It is. I know you'll like it," Anton smiled awkwardly at you.
"I don't know. Maybe I'll hate it, and you've wasted all your time."
"Don't say that! You haven't heard it."
"I hate it already– my ears hurt just thinking about it."
Anton suddenly got quiet. He was usually fine when you jabbed at him, but his silence spoke volumes.
"Hey– I'm kidding. I don't hate it. I was just worried, okay?"
Anton nodded softly, focusing on his coffee as you walked the rest of the way silently.
Anton led the way into the house, "can you wait downstairs for a second?"
"Is your room messy?" You raised an eyebrow, "I've seen it messy."
"Please," Anton said with a hard-to-read expression.
Your jaw locked up at his serious tone. You nodded, "Yeah, I'll stay put."
Anton went upstairs to his room, leaving you downstairs with your thoughts.
Is he the one who's mad here? I should be the mad one, not him!
Anton came downstairs, missing his coat, which revealed a white turtleneck, "Come on, it's ready."
You slipped off your coat and followed him slowly up the stairs. The mood was tense, but you couldn't get why.
Right before entering his room, Anton stopped you. "Put this on," He presented a blindfold.
"Really?"
"Trust me, please."
You decided not to argue and let him tie it around your head. He took you by the hand and led you into the room. He sat you down on the bed, and you could hear him moving some things around the room. There was a faint smell of smoke.
"What's going on, Anton?"
Anton touched your hand, "I made this song to show my feelings. I want you to listen to it fully. I named it, Love 119."
He played the song. It wasn't exactly what you expected from a love song, but the lyrics were deep. You could tell her put in a lot of effort, and he must've had his friends help him with the vocals.
In the end, Anton let go of you and moved, "Take off your blindfold."
You slipped it off to see Anton kneeling with a cake with candles. His face was pinkish as he looked up at you, "Y/n, will you be my boyfriend?"
The words echoed in the room just once. Time froze. You were looking into his eyes as he nervously smiled at you.
He'd prepared the song for you. All those sleepless nights, missing school, the distance. All to find a way to make this song for you without you finding out.
Tears ran down your face, "Is this where you went?"
Anton nodded, "I asked everyone for help to keep you busy so I could set up."
You took a better look around the room. There were records wrapped with bows, a mug with your name on it– with coffee in it, and decorations all over.
"This is all for me?"
Anton nodded, "You're the most special person in the world to me, and I want to spend it with you. Together. If you want that..." He put the cake up to you.
You leaned down and blew out the candles, "I will be your boyfriend!"
Anton set down the cake and pulled a small box out of his pocket.
"Are you about to propose at the same time?" You joked.
But Anton opened the box, presenting two silver rings.
You jumped to your feet, "Anton! I– We– Marriage!?"
He stood up, "No, no! It's just a promise ring!"
You smiled, "Why in the world would we need those?"
"To show you I'm serious about you? My Dad said that's what he and my mom had."
You sighed, laughing more, "You're ridiculous. Give me a ring."
"But, I want to put it on you."
"It's for me to put yours on your finger, silly. There's two rings, aren't there?"
Anton handed you one of the rings as he took the other one. You presented a hand to each other and slipped on the rings.
Anton held your hand, admiring the ring on you, "And now, you're mine."
"And you're mine," You giggled, leaning close to him.
Anton looked briefly at your lips, thinking for a moment before getting anxious. "W-We should have cake!" He moved to grab a slice.
"Anton?"
He turned to see you closer than before, making him lean away from you, "Y-Yes?"
"Most couples start with a kiss, right?"
"A kiss!?" Anton's eyes were wide, but he was too nervous to take the first step.
You leaned into him, making him back up until he fell back-first onto the bed. You leaped onto him, pinning him there, "I've got you."
Anton closed his eyes, "I-I wanted to be the one to kiss you."
Your boyfriend was adorable, even when being childish. You rolled over, pulling him on top of you, pinned under his weight, "Then kiss me."
Anton nervously licked his lips before gently bringing them down to yours. The kiss was warm and soft, tasting faintly of coffee. Anton pressed his lips into yours passionately as his hands locked with yours.
Anton’s lips were red, and he blushed more, "I hope I'm not too bad at this. You're my first kiss."
"It's fine, now we can eat cake," You pecked his lips as he slid off you. You enjoyed the day together, eating cake and listening to his song.

Every single day he was there, you didn’t knew who he was, he wasn’t even in your the same school as you. He had long black hair and big brown eyes, he was tall and was always hearing music.
You didn’t knew his name, but every time he looked at you and gave you that soft smile, made your heart flutter. You “met” this boy on the train station, you said met between quotation marks because you didn’t actually knew him. You knew how he looked, and even how he smelled, even tho that’s kinda weird to know about someone you had never talked before.
He was always by himself, you never saw him getting in the train with a friend or any other people. One thing you knew about this mysterious boy, was that he lived somewhere around your house. He got out of the train in the same station that you did, with the difference that he walked a few more streets than you did to get to your home.
One day you decide trying to talk to this boy of the train. after all, you find him actually very cute, and you didn’t consider yourself ugly, so why not take the risk? This was your last year of high school, and it wasn’t that you were needy for a boyfriend or actually searching desperately for someone, but you thought that it would be cute to have a boy in your life.
When you got to the train station that day, he wasn’t there. 3:35 pm, he was always here by that time. when you got into the train and the doors where about to close, he ran into quickly with a girl and a bouquet of roses in his hands. oh, you thought. of course he had a girlfriend, how someone this good looking wouldn’t have? the girl even tho never kissed him, she was very, very close to him. damn, at least he didn’t reject you directly on your face, it would be embarrassing for you. Even still when the train arrived, he was taking the girl to his house, you guessed.
Weeks passed and you always tried to not look at him like you usually did. he has a girlfriend y/n, if you were his girlfriend you wouldn’t like that a random girl stared at your man for 35 minutes while she was going home, that was what the voice in your head always said. Until you were saying that while staring at his soul, you just literally zone out looking directly at him. he was also looking at you, like trying to guess what did you want or what was happening. but you just looked the other way with your cheeks more red than a tomato. When you were 100% sure that he was not looking at you anymore, you glanced at him, seeing in his face that pretty smile he had.
One night after you went to a friend’s house, like you did usually, you took the train to go home. It was 7:50pm and the next train would be at 8pm. you sat on a bench, plugging your headphones and playing this one song called “Love 119” you discovered a few day ago and you were totally obsessed. A tall figure started to walked near you, the boy from the train. he gave you a soft smile and stopped a few meter away from you, probably he was also waiting for the next train to arrived.
You lowered your music volume, afraid that he would hear how loud you were playing the song. He stand still for a few minutes, after he turned around abruptly, looking at you. you paused the music, waiting for him just say something, but he was just looking, maybe this is how he feels when you stare at him on the train.
“Hi, my name is Wonbin” the boy said, you couldn’t believe he was actually talking to you. “We go in the same train, i always see you there”
“Of course, i have seen you too. My name is y/n, nice to meet you” how did your voice came out so naturally? you were shaking like crazy.
“What are you doing here this late? You always take the train of the afternoon” he said.
“I was at a friend’s house…”
“Ahh i see…” wonbin said, his hands in his pockets. “Cool”
“Yeah, cool” you replied to him.
He turned around again, looking at the train rails. You were ready to play the song again, when he looked at you again.
“Yeah so, i know like that this is super weird and that we don’t know each other. but do you, maybe, wanna hang out sometime?” he said, shaking his head a little due the the nervousness he was feeling.
“I’m sorry to ask you this so straight, but don’t you have a girlfriend?” you told him, remembering the girl of that day.
“What?” wonbin said with a look of confusion on his face.
“I saw you with a girl a couple of weeks ago, a girl and a bouquet of flowers”
“Oh Minji? No no, she’s my sister and the flowers were for my mother. It was her birthday so i was bringing her flowers”
“Shit i’m sorry to assume that, i was going to talk so you that day but-” wonbin cut you.
“You were going to talk to me that day?”
“No, i-” you laughed nervously. “I mean yes, but the girl and the flowers, and yeah, that” you stutter, he laughed.
“Well, now that you know that i don’t have a girlfriend. what do you said about hanging sometime?” wonbin smiled, that smile that you always liked to see at the train.
“Sure, i’ll really like that” how could this be happening? did you waste all this time trying to talk to him when he also wanted to talk to you? this is why you have to take risks sometimes.
“Good” the boy said with a bright and big smile.
“Y/NN! What are you doing” he said jumping over you softly, while you were lying on the bed.
“Won, i’m writing in my diary how we met” you explained with a smile.
“But whyy? You are with me every single day now, you don’t have to write how we met again. besides, i’m sure you wrote that the night it happen.” wonbin said, hugging you from the back.
“Who said a wrote it that night?” you teased.
“You didn’t write about me?” he said with a hand in his chest, acting offended. “Auch” you laughed.
“I’m joking, i’m joking. i just really like to remember that moment.”
“Yeah, i really like to think about it too” wonbin smiled. “Tsk, when you thought i had a girlfriend…”
“And now your sister likes me more than you” you told your boyfriend, sticking your tongue out.
“I’m actually not gonna argue into that”
“It’s because you know i’m right”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever. Now put your pencil down, i came because i want my girlfriend to cuddle me” wonbin said getting comfortable in the bed.
“Awww you’re such a cutie, i love you. Let me finish writing this and i promise all my attention is going to be with you”
“Okay…”
—And after that nigh, wonbin and i started dating. Thanks to that, now i have the best boyfriend in the whole world, and i love him with all my heart—
You put your diary in your table nigh and came closer to Wonbin, letting him out his head in your chest. One of your arms was around his head, allowing your fingers to draw figures on his back and touching his long hair.
“I love you wonbin” you said softly, kissing his head.
“I love you more y/n”

Alternate universe eddie diaz because he hit his head in the pool so he is having a concussion dream about him being at station 119
ANYWAY Eddie is the one to have a whatta man moment about Buck because Buck does some cool maneuver when the 118 gets on the scene and is just…. struck dumb. And then out Gay mustache man Eddie Diaz introduces himself to Buck with something like
“That save you did back there was something else. I’m Eddie Diaz”
“Thanks, Evan Buckley.”
And then eddie wakes up and has his oh moment idk

imagine how funny it'd be if we put together all these theories about the 119 and eddies mustache being for an alternate universe/sliding doors episode but instead the 119 is just another fire station and eddie just had a mid life crisis about chris leaving and decided to grow a mustache about it. I would laugh.

crossover ideas
they're all at a national firefighter conference that's being held in philadelphia for some reason
chim, maddie, jee and buck are in pennsylvania to visit the buckley parents (eddie tagged along beaause he's sad and has nothing better to do). the buckley parents are trying to convince maddie to move there and enroll jee-yun at abbott
bobby (still out of work for abruptly resigning and forgetting to unresign) and eddie (got suspended for punching gerard) are in philadelphia to go to an eagles game. on their way there they get caught up in an emergency where melissa's entire class gets stuck on the roof
the crossover is just station 119 of philadelphia, who are all inexplicably dopplegangers of the 118, responding to a pulled fire alarm at abbott (somehow the pulled fire alarm is janine and gregory's fault because they were busy making out)

The ever so observant @misterapril pointed out in this post that there may be a fake plane crash scenario on Hotshots while a real one (possibly with Athena onboard) is happening, explaining the 2 different planes we see in bts material.
I've mentioned numerous times before, this cockpit mock up belongs to an aircraft from the A320s family.
The cockpit mockup seems to be from the same type of aircraft as well. It's a narrow body judging by the proportion, and the 2 Boeing narrow body airliners (737 and 757) both have cabin doors working like a regular door, namely rotation outwards to open. While all Airbus doors pop straight out and move to the side without rotating.
B737 door vs A320 door
This aircraft on the other hand looks more like a wide body to me, simply because a narrow body airliner doesn't have enough ground clearance to fit a whole firetruck under its wing. It's a Boeing for sure, look at the cockpit windows. I'm leaning towards it being a 767 instead of a 777, simply because a 777 should be a bit larger and I see no winglet on the wing (can be a perspective issue, 777 has raked wingtips that might not show up if you take a photo leveled with the wings).
Well, thanks to @misterapril, I've just noticed something that should be super obvious if I wasn't blinded by the plane.
This is not the Ontario Airport tower.
So we know Angela filmed something at ONT terminal 2. The hangar with all the firetrucks and ambulances is also there. What you may not know is that said hangar is right next to the ONT control tower, so I always assumed the night scene with the Boeing plane and the 119 truck was also filmed there.
But guys, they're not the same tower.
The one behind the firetruck is the San Bernardino Airport tower.
In fact, I'm pretty sure I know exactly where they filmed this particular scene, taking into consideration other landmarks visible in the same bts photo.
I think this video posted by Kenny was filmed in the same location.
I believe they are the same building. You can judge it on your own by watching this clip. It's also the only area within the airfield with highway like markings, leading straight out of a fire station.
Why is this piece of information important you may ask? Well, we've been speculating the 2 different planes conundrum might be due to budget/production constraint. In S1, the show bought an actual 757 from an airplane boneyard in Arizona and shipped it piece by piece to California. It was such a headache.
Do you know San Bernardino Airport is also a boneyard? I can imagine Tim says, "don't worry about logistics, we're taking the filming straight to the boneyard this time!" So everything is possible, you have all sorts of retired airliners you can play with for cheap. There's also the possibility that the Boeing we see is just parked nearby, maybe it has nothing to do with filming.
Do you know what else San Bernardino Airport has? A USFS air base. In 7x04 they used the Helinet hangar and its (mostly news) helicopters for the Harbor tour scene, right? San Bernardino is filled with actual firefighting air tankers and helicopters. Perhaps they would be generous enough to let the show take a few shots of a certain helicopter flying around, I don't know, saving people?
EDIT: From the same bts video Kenny posted, I think they're standing under the horizontal stabilizer of a plane? I might be seeing things, and it's not very important, just curious.

Cancelled Missions: Skylab Rescue Mission (SL-R)
Mission patch for rescue mission for SL-3
Spacecraft: CSM-119
Launch Vehicle: Saturn IB AS-208, later AS-209
Commander: Vance D. Brand
Command Module Pilot: Don L. Lind
Intended launch date: September 1973, (on standby from August 1973 - February 1974)
Skylab rescue mission crewmen Vance Brand (left) and Don Lind.
"Influenced by the stranded Skylab crew portrayed in the book and movie 'Marooned', NASA provided a crew rescue capability for the only time in its history." Prepared for launch during Skylab 3."
"Skylab rescue vehicle phasing - NAR Space Division drawing illustrates phasing of 5-seater Skylab rescue vehicle for a Skylab mission."
Date: April 5, 1971
"A kit was developed to fit out an Apollo command module with a total of five crew couches. In the event a Skylab crew developed trouble with its Apollo CSM return craft, a rescue CSM would be prepared and launched to rendezvous with the station. It would dock with the spare second side docking port of the Skylab docking module."
- information from Astronautix.com: link
"The Apollo Command Module as modified to rescue stranded crews for the Skylab program. Two crew + three rescuees packed like sardines...."
"Skylab 3 astronauts Alan Bean and Jack Lousma helped design the "field modification kit" to use a standard CSM for rescue, and would have flown the CSM for their mission to rescue Skylab 2 if necessary. The standard Skylab Command Module accommodated a crew of three with storage lockers on the aft bulkhead for resupply of experiment film and other equipment, as well as the return of exposed film, data tapes and experiment samples. To convert the standard CSM to a rescue vehicle, the storage lockers were removed and replaced with two crew couches to seat a total of five crewmen."
Posted on Flickr by Mike Acs. NASA ID: 108-KSC-70P-69
"Soon after Skylab 3's launch the crew's CSM developed a problem with Quad B, one of its four reaction control system thrusters. On August 2, 1973, six days later, a snowstorm-like effect outside the station startled the crew during breakfast. What appeared to be 'a real blizzard' was fuel leaking from Quad D, opposite from Quad B. The malfunctions left two available quads, and while the spacecraft could operate with just one, the leaks posed a possible risk to other systems. The fuel for all quads and the main service propulsion system (SPS) engine were from the same batch; if the SPS fuel was contaminated, the CSM might not be able to deorbit.
source
NASA considered bringing the crew home immediately, but because the astronauts were safe on the station with ample supplies and because plans for a rescue flight existed, the mission continued while the Saturn IB rocket AS-208 with CSM-119 was assembled in the Vehicle Assembly Building at Launch Complex 39 for possible use. It was at one point rolled out to LC-39B.
Illustration of the rescue Apollo spacecraft preparing to dock at Skylab’s lateral port. source
NASA announced on August 4 that Skylab 3 and Skylab 4 backup crewmen Vance Brand and Don Lind would fly any rescue mission; they had immediately begun training for the flight once the second quad had failed on August 2. After engineers found that the leaks would not disable the spacecraft, the two men used simulators to test reentry using two quads. If ground personnel worked 24 hours a day and skipped some tests, the mission could launch on September 10, and would last no more than five days. The astronauts would attempt to prepare Skylab for further use but returning experimental data and diagnosing the cause of the problem were more important, with Lind choosing what would be brought back. Human urine and feces samples and Apollo Telescope Mount and other film were the priorities. Although Skylab had two docking ports the primary one would be used if possible, jettisoning the Skylab crew's CSM if necessary.
Posted on Flickr by Drew Granston: link
While many within NASA believed that the rescue mission would occur, within hours of the failure of the second quad the agency canceled the rescue mission. Beyond NASA's conclusion that the failed quads would not disable the Skylab 3 CSM and the SPS fuel was uncontaminated, Brand and Lind had already shown during their training as backup Skylab crewmen that a reentry with failed quads was safe. They also devised a method to deorbit with the command module's attitude control system. Later joking that they were 'very efficient but perfectly stupid, because we have literally worked ourselves out of the mission', Brand and Lind continued to train for a rescue mission, as well as for their backup roles, but the Skylab 3 crew was able to complete its full 59-day mission on the station and safely return to Earth using the two functional RCS thruster quads, using the SPS engine once instead of twice as precaution."

Saturn IB SA-208 was used for Skylab 4 and SA-209 was assigned to the standby rescue mission. At one point, CSM-119/SA-209 was slated for the Skylab 5 mission but it was cancelled when SL-4 was extended and completed all of it objectives.
Mission patch for rescue mission for SL-4
Later, CSM-119/SA-209 was the backup launch vehicle for Apollo-Soyuz Test Project mission and standby rescue vehicle. After the Apollo program ended, the surplus rocket and spacecraft were displayed at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
