“don’t flatter yourself” teacher au
#19 “Don’t flatter yourself.” Teacher AU!
Annabeth presses her lips together as she watches the scalpel press further into the starfish, her eyes squeezing shut at the squishing sound. She’s tempted to turn around and walk out the door to escape from this aquatic madness. The only problem was she couldn’t leave without feeling extraordinarily guilty for ditching Percy, so she was stuck in the room full of children bearing scalpels.
Percy walks around the different tables, pointing things out over the students’ shoulders, blissfully ignorant to Annabeth feeling like she was going to actually throw up. There was a reason she didn’t go into anything surrounding biology, and this was it, so she has no idea how on earth she was roped into this.
She doesn’t know how much time passes with her leaning against the door, looking anywhere except at the internal structure of a starfish, before Percy’s sliding up next to her, repressing his laughs.
“Are you okay?” he asks, a teasing undertone present in his voice. Annabeth can’t even look him in the eyes, ashamed that she’s being so squeamish and scared she will actually projectile vomit all over him and he will lose any and all attraction for her.
“It smells like fish in here,” she mumbles, biting her lip and squinting meanly at the now dismantled sea creature.
“It’s a marine class,” he says slowly. “It’s going to smell like fish when we’re doing dissections.”
“You chose today to invite me over to your class? I would rather be grading stats tests.”
“I wanted to show you a starfish!” he defends, stopping to look over and scold Octavian who had just attempted to slice Leo. “Did you know that starfish can asexually reproduce through fragmentation?”
Annabeth points at her face. “Does it honestly look like I, a calculus teacher, care?”
“You actually look quite green.” Percy playfully presses his hand to her forehead. “I expected maybe Piper to pass out, but this is just an added bonus.”
“Shut up,” she says, shoving him away roughly. He just takes another step back towards her, grinning. “Can I please leave? I have things to do that don’t involve being in a room that smells like the ocean.”
Percy opens his mouth to respond, but Piper beats him to it.
“Mr. Jackson smells like the ocean!” Piper yells, waving the blade around wildly and nearly taking Reyna out. “I didn’t know you were repulsed by your own boyfriend.”
“Shut it, McLean,” Annabeth warns.
Percy smiles fondly, and she doesn’t know if it’s at her or his favorite student, but a second later he’s dragging her towards one of the tables, bumping Piper and Reyna aside carelessly. He slowly gauges her reaction, which was basically her trying to run like hell in the opposite direction.
“Come on,” he says, his arms wrapping around her waist and dragging her back to the table.
“Let go,” she chides, squirming. She’s well aware of the class of twenty students watching their teachers practically get into a fist fight, but she has gotten so used to things like this happening with the way Percy has no shame that she doesn’t even bat an eye.
“Let me show you my starfish!”
“I teach math for a reason!”
“I know you have, like, a kink for the word derivative or something, but you’d know the ocean is pretty cool if you gave it a chance!”
“Ms. Chase has a what?” Leo asks, blinking.
“Now look what you’ve done,” Annabeth accuses, gesturing towards Leo. “I resent you.”
“Oh, you love me,” Percy says, forcing her to stand up.
“Don’t flatter yourself,” Annabeth scowls, smacking his hands away from her, but she gives in.
The open and gutted starfish was staring her in the face, and the stench really starting to rise up now. She could feel her stomach churning, and she would rather die than touch that starfish.
“Touch it,” Percy demands.
“You touch it!”
“But it’s for you!”
“I don’t want it but thank you.”
“Touch it.”
“I feel uncomfy.”
“So does the starfish,” Percy says passively, mocking Reyna’s disgusted groan at their antics. “It’s not going to hurt you.”
Annabeth makes a sound of disagreement, but knowing she’s going to lose this fight, she picks up the metal stick thingy he holds in front of her face and she pokes it once.
“That was barely a poke,” Leo says, and Annabeth feels the sudden need to drop kick this kid.
“Don’t make me stab you,” Reyna says, glaring at him. Annabeth feels oddly prideful that her student was sticking up for her. “I will stab you.”
“Hey now,” Percy warns, and god, she really loved the way his voice changed when in teacher mode. There was just something about getting to see the sweet side of him that wanted to snuggle up against her at night and the side of him that would do anything for his kids. She loves the way his demeanor changes in a heartbeat, the way his voice lowers and his eyes sharpen, and she really wants to kiss him right now.
“Did I do enough to get an A?” Annabeth jokes, suppressing the need to turn around in his arms and kiss him hard.
“Not quite,” he whispers in her ear, sending shivers down her spine.
Piper — Annabeth’s dearest Piper — smirks at Annabeth, and she highly regrets ever getting so close to her. Annabeth loved Piper like she was her own kid, and if Annabeth wasn’t her teacher, she might even call them best friends. The only downside was Piper could read her like a book, and Annabeth has no doubt that Piper knew exactly what was going through her mind.
It’s not like Annabeth is being subtle either. She’s sure there’s a red flush over her face.
And really, they weren’t supposed to show their affection in front of students, but their students truly didn’t care. Half the time, they were the ones bringing up horrifying innuendos and asking about when they were going to have kids. They didn’t have boundaries.
It was heartwarming, really.
“Who can tell Chase a little bit more about fragmentation?” Percy asks.
Piper dramatically clears her throat, elbowing Octavian when he tried to open his fat mouth. “Basically, if you break the starfish equivalent of a spine, it says nope and rebuilds into two starfish.”
“Imagine if humans could do that,” Leo adds.
Annabeth looks at Percy. “You have interesting students.”
“They’re yours too, loser.”
Annabeth smiles fondly, pressing her shoulder against his.
“You’re really not the least bit interested?” Percy asks. There’s a shine in his eyes that tells her he genuinely wants her to care, and he’s always done it for her. She can’t help but love that about him.
“I guess it’s interesting,” Annabeth admits, fingers tingling as he gazes at her like there’s nothing else in the world. “Now that my nose got used to the smell of fish.”
“It’s a starfish, silly,” Percy says, tugging her closer to him. He presses a kiss to her nose, and there’s a mix of gags and awes around the room. She really does love these kids like family.
“Love you,” she whispers with the roll of her eyes so only they can hear, “you silly starfish man.”

Fear is but a moon revolves around Saturn 4
Tumblr media
Because of his arrogance and underestimation of the balance he served, Amanda sent Nines down on earth with a mission to guard an unborn human.
Ch1  Ch2  Ch3
Chapter 4
When his shadows informed him of an unusual presence at the home of his mission, Fear didn’t expect it to be-
"Footprints?!" The wish gasps a little too close to his ear, as she rises, alarmed, over his shoulder.
Fear's grey eyes narrows, taking the scene in. The mother who very recently started bearing his mission, is going about through her morning routine in the kitchen unaware of his presence, leaving in her wake a trail of black and blue flaming footprints that doesn't seem to fade.
"How is she doing that?" The wish seems fascinated by it.
"She’s not."
"Then who did?"
He crouches, eyeing the small bluish fumes before he extends his hand to investigate it further, it was cold, "Death..." he whispers to himself.
"Why?" The wish asks.
"A warning."
"A warning? About what?"
"Dead man walking,"
"What?"
"It's a human saying..." He pauses, his focus is on the mortal mother, who sits at the dining table with a cup of coffee in her hand, " when one of their condemned prisoners walks to their execution,"
"But she isn't a condemned prisoner," The wish stats confusingly, watching the human’s face for any indication.
The mother looks calm, staring at the rain drops across the window.
"She seems fine," the wish muses.
"Not her..." Although all mortals are prisoners condemned to their death in a way, his mission isn't  the mother herself but her unborn offspring.
"Nines are you certain? Maybe it's some kind of a sibling prank thingy, or maybe you are reading so much into this with your super calculative mind, I mean, how can you be sure of this, baby is not yet born—" the wish babbels.
It's the first time in 3 months since he had known her to finally grasp a sense of her fear.
He is prepared for this moment in his mind, now as it unfold before him, he can't help but find it... unsettling.
Fear still feels the flow of sands in the hourglass. He reaches inside his pocket, if his brother went out all the way to warn him, then this is it.
"—and... I'm sorry, what is this?" The wish lookes skeptically at the coin Fear holds in his hand.
"This is a human currency, I believe it is called ...a coin" He mildly mocks her but she seems unaware as her fear fades into confusion, he resumes his explanation, "throughout the ages humans placed... Gifts with their deceased ones, in order to gain Death's blessing, unbeknown to them that my brother has no power beyond. However for all the gifts that are bestowed upon him, the coin... Has been his favorite."
"Ooh, I get it now!  With this coin, we are going to bribe him!" She exclaims enthusiastically, and he gives her a side-glance.
"No... to summon him," He flicks the coin into the air with a tinge, the air stills, once it landed back onto his open palm everything around them stops.
"Hello, brother."
***
Death stands before them, hands clasped in-front of him almost as if to show politeness, or simply a pose he is used to perform, he looks like a perfect replica of Nines, or in this case Nines is the perfect replica of him, after all, Fear is but a result of Death.
Death's face remains stoic, his eyes however is quick to spot the feline addition over his brother's shoulder.
"You heeded my warning," Death says, eyes back on his brother as Nines put the coin back in his pocket.
"You weren't subtle about it."
"You were running out of time, brother"
"Were?" Wonder exclaimed.
Death's eyes were back on her again, his head tilted slightly as if trying to see her in a different angle. His eyes seems to gleam of something upon meeting hers, it is not unkind, but it should have made her feel uneasy, it does not.
Unlike Nines’s colorless eyes, Death's had a set of brown ones that gave him a softer edge, less intimidating than his brother's sharp ones, in fact Death seems more approachable, unlike what his name indicates.
Wonder wonders if her ease towards the grim reaper is drawn from her bond with Nines, as he probably feels the same way.
"You said were, does it mean that the baby is now safe?" Wonder asks.
"No, I meant that time is no longer an issue as we speak" Death explains to her, she was confused, should she be thankful or panicking?
"Look," Fear pointed towards the human mother. The footprints still stands, the mother still looking through the window, and the rain is still...  perfectly still, it took Wonder few beats to see it.
"You stopped time." Wonder murmurs in awe and Death's posture changes slightly as his hand raises to fix his already perfect looking tie.
"A gift to help me in my purpose, Death is nothing but punctual,"
"Like Nines's shadows."
"Nines?" Death raises an elegant eyebrow at his brother, who looks as calm as ever.
"It's the name I gave him, it's fitting, right?"
"Indeed." Death says, amused
"With the introduction out of the way, maybe you can now tell me what you are warning me about"
"You already know, brother... this is not my first warning, the hourglass you carry is void of any name, I have been watching you bring out the hourglass to check every so often, and I'm curious, what does it make you feel..."
No name hourglass means they will never be born to gain a name, Wonder watches Nines's emotionless face. She didn't notice that the fact that he stares at the hourglass means anything suspicious, she thought he was just entranced by the flow of the sand. Now that Death mentions it, Nines never let her touch the hourglass or stare at it for long enough to notice it has no name
"Did you feel anxious then? What about now? Do you feel... Helpless? Is it bothering you?" Death asks, "talk to me brother, I can help you. We may never have the chance again," his brown eyes looks so deeply humane in their search within Nines's glassy orbs.
Nines keeps quiet, the slight tightening of his jaw is the only indication that he is, infact, not a statue.
Wonder interrupts, "this doesn't make sense, the baby has no emotions yet, if it dies, then it won't be out of fear and the mission will be over before it even begun,"
Death's brows slightly frown, a mild sadness washes over his features for a split second before he regains the same emotionless mask that seems to run in the family as he turns to Wonder.
"Now that would be a waste of time, even for me," the last thing Death says before he pulls himself to the side, pulling a coin out of no where and starts flipping it flawlessly between his hands.
The ting of the coin was so loud in the quietness of the room, time was back, Wonder can now hear the rain drops again, like a fast paced clock ticking and it is disquieting.
"What are we going to do now?" Wonder speaks into Nines's mind, feeling the urge to keep her conversation private from Death.
Nines strides towards the woman, "What we should have done all along," he says, crouching before the human, "prove my brother wrong," Nines stares straight into the human's eyes as one of his shadows snakes up her body, slowly but securely rounding her.
***
The mortal's fears lay bare in front of him, all her nightmares, all her insecurities clashing and turning within her like the tides of a dark bottomless ocean whirling in a storm of her emotions. She appears exceptionally calm but he can see beyond.
She fears the future, she fears regret, she thinks she is not ready, the baby was not planned and her whole life is nothing but cautious steps towards progress, she is a thinker and this is a mistake she needs to undo.
Fear pulls back from the mortal, as he stands taller, his cold eyes downcast on the deep thinking woman.
"She will kill her offspring.." Fear states to the wish who was patiently quiet.
"Why would she do that?" The wish asks in disbelief.
"Fear..." He opens his palm creating a new shadow, letting it join the one which rounds the mortal, as it starts to squeeze her gently, coming up to her ears, it starts whispering to her in tongues.
"Are you... Doubling her fears?"
"No, I'm adding a new one"
"I'm sorry, but how can this help in anyway?"
Fear glances at the wish, thinking seriously about not answering her, but she seemed scared rather than questioning his abilities, he decided against it, "Nothing is better to counter fear but another fear," he turns his eyes back to the woman who takes a sip from her coffee unwillingly listening to the shadows over both her ears, "soon, she will imagine what her life will be like if she remains childless, she fears it will be empty, she is growing older each day, better now than later."
"Will it... be enough?" The wish murmurs in his head and in all truth, Fear doesn't know the answer, he doesn't reply.
The shadows squeeze the human harder, even if he was able to help her now, these shadows will engulf her in too much darkness and it will ruin her for another time.
"Why don't you let your new partner help?" Death's voice broke from behind, he plays his coin between his fingers expertly.
Fear looks at the wish weighting the idea in his mind.
"No, I tried before, it didn't go well," the wish says with a shrug.
"Yes, the human girl Yuki, I know, I was there," Death says, he continues flipping the coin but his eyes seems unfocused, "despite it's title, great doses of painkillers will make a human spasm in pain for hours before their time come, some even lasts days in torment," he stares at nothing for a moment pause before he looks at the wish, "too much is what killed Yuki."
Too much brightness, too much darkness, Fear understands the point his brother is so not subtly trying to make. He turns to the wish.
"Nines, are you sure, I may—" The wish starts to murmur again.
"If this is the end for you too, I would find in unfair if I don't let you try for yourself." Fear speaks to the wish, drawing an end to their private communication.
The wish seems unsure for a moment, the coin Death flips tings louder, no doubt reminding her of the running time, she jumps over the human's lap, cautiously reaching her paw into the snaking shadow, emitting few dots of light that spread inside the shadows like veins.
The whispers stop and the wish quickly pulls her paw out, jumping away from the human as the human rises, towards her phone, trailing more footprints.
Fear sees her fears fading as her mind is clearer now to take the decision, she searches for the doctor contact number, her finger swipes through contacts before it hovers over one contact and she pauses.
It is then that his shadow’s whispers resume, different in tone and within a perfect harmony with the wish's aspirations mild music.
Fear stands next to the mother, curious to know what she saw that gives her a pause.
It was her mother's contact number. Years after she had passed and she still keeps her contact saved, as if one day, somehow she will call her and annoy her about her most embarrassing childhood stories.
She loved her mother, she imagines that if her mother was still alive she would have been over the moon about the baby, talking nonstop about her plans to be the perfect grandmother her grandchild  would want.
She loves her mother so much, the human wonders if her unborn baby would love her the same, and yet before it even tries to show her anything she would betray it's love by being selfish, her mother was never selfish with her.
The human wipes her tears away, putting the phone down, she laughs ironically about how everything have turned now.
"I warn you, I'm told I'm gonna be a very weird mother," the human speaks to her barely visible stomach as she descends to the floor laughing and wiping her tears.
The wish stands before her in awe, Fear looks around to see the footprints disappear into thin air.
"I had eight brothers before you, none of them has reached this point, none of them were given a test by Fate and none of them were able to understand the balance they served," Death speaks to Fear, standing beside him with a smile on his face, "I'm proud of you brother, I think it's time for you to check your hourglass, for today you have saved a life."
Fear pulls the hourglass and sure enough he saw the name carved deep in the wooden base of the hourglass, it says "Gavin Reed"
Y/N: When an impossible coin trick is done successfully, a handsome softie Death will appear. Its a well known fact heheheh. There will be no pairing in this story, I plan to blow up your mind as hard as I can with this story, I hope the name Gavin Reed made u shoooock. Also maintaining a present tense through out the whole thing turned out to be harder than I thought, please point out any grammatical mistake, my English is still improving.Thank you ^^

eleven questions tag ☼
tagged by: @lstkpopflsgood ty babe !
rules: answer the eleven questions if you’re tagged, and then list another set of eleven questions for the people you tag to answer!
⇢ What do you think it could win on a battle: Water or Fire?
ever since i was little, i’ve ALWAYS wanted to touch fire…and i have once (well almost). i stuck my hands into a fire place when i was like 5 y/o ? but my mom saved me before my hand can touch the fire. anyway, weird ass story aside, i love fire but i guess it depends on the amount. like if there was an equal amount of both elements, then maybe water would win but it all comes down to the science of it because if the amount of fire is vast and of high enough temperature enough, it can evaporate the water quickly into steam which means it wins. but if there’s a small fire and a whole firetruck (wHOOP WHOOP) hose then of course the water wins. i would call it a draw, both elements are super powerful.
⇢ What do you love and hate the most? and why?
love — ok you’d think i’m exaggerating but i’m gonna say renjun. he’s my bias for a reason, he’s my ult of all ults foR A REASON. of course i mean he’s maybe not the thing i love MOST in the world but there’s just so much to love and appreciate i have for renjun. he’s beautiful and ethereal, he has so many cute features about him, like his snaggletooth (rip), and his dimple, and the two front teeth that kinda stick out, and his birthmark/mole on his hand. he’s also amazingly talented and caring (even when putting members in chokeholds). i just love him so much :’)
hate — hate is a strong word and i like to live my life without using the word hate too much so there isn’t really anything that i hate but for the sake of this question and this tag, i would say that i dislike slow walkers (maybe not the most but) they’re really annoying, especially if they’re walking in the middle of the sidewalk or hallway like hELLO people (me) have places to go.
⇢ Do you thing it’s really necessary for us to live with another person? To have a couple life?
honestly, there are many people that live their life without a significant other (wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend), so no i don’t think it’s necessary. a person can find love within other people and things without having to date or marry anyone. for example, love shared by friendship or families or pets or hobbies even. i mean it’s different for everyone too, some want the love shared in a romantic relationship. but it’s definitely not necessary to have a significant other. it’s whatever makes one happy that they should pursue it.
⇢ Are animals better than humans?
i don’t know if they are any better but they aren’t any worse than humans. of course, some might think that yes, animals are better and have more morals or something but that’s mostly because we have yet to discover or invent technology to understand animals. so it seems as if they are portrayed to be pure and innocent though it is nature and predators feed on prey and prey feed on plants that are needed for oxygen. so i don’t really know the answer but i do know that humans are corrupt in a way that animals are not.
⇢ Do you have a favorite something? If yes, what is it and why?
this is so broad my three brain cells are working hard to try to find an answer but i’ve got nothing so i’m gonna be boring and say my favorite animal is a dog bc they are precious and pure and deserve the world
⇢ What is your favorite music? Why?
i don’t particularly have a favorite genre of music, i mostly listen to what sounds pleasing to my ears ? but i do have a ‘style’ of music that i lean towards more and that is more pumped up/groovy/funky/unique/etc songs (ex: romance - shinee, fallin - mx, get it - tbz, monday blues - cbx, pretty boy - taemin, thunder - exo, etc.) it might seem like a weird description but basically songs that aren’t too slow or too fast, songs that have unique beats or melodies or lyrics. i don’t particularly like slow sad songs because it makes me kinda…sad ? like if i listen to sad or slow music, i just get emotional and think too much idk anyway. i prefer more upbeat songs because it’s like a dance party everywhere i go. (i still listen to sad music anyway bc [REAL EMO HOURS] also listen to baby by the rose thnx)
⇢ If you read, what is your favorite book?
i’m gonna be quite honest here…i haven’t read a book that i wanted to read (like picked out at the library or bought) in like years… i’ve just haven’t had the time to read books lately and the books i do read are for my classes or for reports that i didn’t particularly pick out for myself. but from the books i’ve read through my life, i really enjoy reading mysteries, thrillers, and sci-fi books. a good favorite of mine is ‘american pyscho’ (i love really fucked up shit i’m weird don’t judge) but i also like the book ‘the bell jar’ (also kinda fucked up story). i guess that’s what prompted me in my interest in writing mysteries or thrillers but i don’t have much experience in it so i’ll stick with fluffy short fics for now
⇢ Where do you would like to visit/live in?
i really looooove traveling !! though i haven’t traveled to that many places, i’d love to visit literally everywhere, doesn’t matter if there’s barely anything to do. living wise, if we’re being realistic, probably texas because real estate is cheaper and basically everything is cheaper, but if we’re pushing money and bills aside, probably back to china, up north somewhere idk lol ?
⇢ What is your zodiac sign? Talk a little about it and say if it fits you or not.
my zodiac is scorpio, and honestly i don’t know much about astrology except for the sprinkles of zodiac posts i see on instagram or tumblr sometimes. but from what i’ve seen around, scorpios are supposed to be sex driven, mysterious, cold, and bitchy, and i don’t think i fit into any of those traits lol. but my friend, who’s a big astrology nerd, says that my appearance is the LITERAL definition of a scorpio (idk what he meant so i just went along with it). i mean i guess i get it kinda ? bc my outer appearance is kinda cold and i’ve been told i have a resting bitch face so if i don’t smile then i look angry or mean (so i try to smile more now heh). but if there’s any other traits you guys know about scorpios, feel free to tell me bc i’d like to know !
⇢ What you think it’s your funniest moment til now?
my life is just a big fat boring so this took a while to think of (idk if this is the funniest bc i have the memory of a goldfish) but recently about a few weeks ago, i went to this cafe to have lunch with my friend and as we were eating my fucking statistics professor came in and my friend points it out to me. i didn’t know if i should say hi or not bc i didn’t know if she knows who i even am (bc i rarely attended that class since attendance wasn’t mandatory and math is my good subject) so i just ignored her. then she sat down at the table RIGHT NEXT TO MINE and then the fucking TA’s for the stats lab joined her and it was just hella awkward bc i think the TA’s remember me (long story short i was late for my final bc a bitch slept in and i basically begged while knocking continuously on the window for the TA to let me into the lab to take the final and they did eventually) so anyway i think they remembered me but i still didn’t want to say hi. my professor got up later and i thought they were gonna leave and i can finally breathe but then SHE FUCKING WALKS UP TO OUR TABLE AND ASKS MY FRIEND IF SHE CAN TAKE A PHOTO OF HER AND THE TA’S and at that point, i was about to scream. so my friend took the photo and i STILL didn’t say hi even though i SHOULD’VE then. and the whole thing was a mess and it wasn’t funny then but looking back at it now, i’m laughing my damn ass off at myself
⇢ Milk before cereals or cereals before milk?
if you pour your milk before your cereal, i’m gonna push you down a well and leave you there to rot
questions for you:
what is the first memory you remember? like from birth or when you were young?
what is the line between art and not art?
what job would you be terrible at? why?
what is your zodiac sign? talk a little about it and say if it fits you or not.
when people come to you for help, what do they usually want help with?
what age do you wish you could permanently be? why?
who is you ideal boy/girl? describe him/her if you can’t think of a person (list physical traits and characteristic traits).
what’s the most annoying question people ask you? why do you find it annoying? how do you usually answer them?
can money = happiness?
as the only human left on earth, what would you do?
what is your guilty pleasure? why is it your guilty pleasure and what sparked it to be your guilty pleasure?
tagging: @ohdaddy-nct @jaeehyuns @hyucko @jencto @jeno-screaming (only if you guys want to !! ) + anyone else who wants to do it :^]

No Lips to Seal: An Underfell Story
Contains: SFW, no content warnings
Some say that it is violence shrouding Underfell in darkness; others say it is secrets, buried more deeply even than the monsters in their underground prison of earth, stone, and ancient magic. In this world it’s kill or be killed, and the best way to survive is to keep a whole deck of aces up your sleeve. This isn’t a story about having aces in spades, however. This is the story of a joker and a knave.
Sans had worried about Papyrus’ future from the moment the babybones had tumbled out of his incubation tube and bitten him on the ankle. Such ferocity boded well for Papyrus’ future, or it would have if Sans didn’t know his little brother at all. Despite his savage antics, Papyrus had a caring and merciful soul, and in Underfell, that made him just as big of a target as his older brother.
Sans possessed only a single hit point. This, combined with his equally singular attack and defense, meant easy experience for any monster who didn’t know better. Dragging a babybones along in his foraging made it a two-for-one deal. How Sans managed to survive the frequent attacks remained the Underground’s best kept secret. Sans did have a stat a bit higher than the loneliest number, a stat that couldn’t be viewed by Checking him: his LV. In this world, Sans wasn’t about to allow himself or his brother to be killed.
Sans honed his skills, practicing dodging and overwhelming opponents with a barrage of attacks. He perfected blue magic, developed elaborate bone attacks, and even had one of his teeth capped in gold to give the illusion of toughness. Eventually, he and his younger brother had settled in Snowdin.
The small town of Snowdin lacked the dense population of the capitol. The few residents who fought for experienced simply weren’t interested in the meager pickings from a puny skeleton monster and his babybones brother. The local guards were willing to overlook Sans and Papyrus entirely as long as Sans periodically threw them a literal bone. In the Fell, you accepted peace and safety for as long as you could hold onto it, but nothing lasts forever.
As Papyrus matured, it became painfully obvious that he would be the opposite of his older brother in every way. His tall, lanky stature made his brother look even more stout, and his penchant for high-heeled boots only accentuated the difference further. Papyrus lacked Sans’ single-minded disregard for any lives but theirs; his soul burned with empathy. His mind sought to see the good in others, a pursuit that Sans had long since given up on.
The most important difference, the one thing that changed everything, involved Papyrus’ stats. Everyone who knew the gold-toothed skeleton assumed that his younger brother would have similarly sub-par attack, defense, and hit points. Even Sans hadn’t expected Papyrus to blossom into such a powerful monster. Unfortunately, a well-endowed monster represented a life-changing wealth of experience, and that meant Sans and his brother were no longer safe in Snowdin.
It happened on a sunny afternoon, not that the sun ever really penetrated the thick canopy of trees where Papyrus practiced magic attacks with Sans and occasionally designed elaborate puzzles. That afternoon, Papyrus bounced excitedly as he eagerly showed Sans the system of spikes and pressure pads he’d set up. He was explaining the solution to Sans, who, though quite clever, feigned bafflement to please his brother when the dog monster attacked.
Doggo, a Guardsdog and regular at Grillby’s, landed only a single blow, claws tearing deeply into bone over Papyrus’ left eye. He didn’t get a chance to press the attack against the shocked teenager; Sans moved like lightning, pinning the mongrel to a nearby tree with a bone attack before summoning a pair of dragon-skull Gaster Blasters to end his worthless life. The Blasters opened their mouths in unison, jaws unhinging as they gathered energy.
Ping!
Papyrus had only perfected one bit of battle magic, and he used it now to turn his own brother’s soul blue. The dragon skulls froze in stasis, magic swirling in their gaping, unmoving maws. Doggo, sensing a reprieve, struggled against the bone that had punctured his shoulder and held him to the tree. Sans’ attacks were efficient and accurate- they had to be- and left his opponent with no chance for escape. Red snarled, fighting his brother’s magical immobilization
.“Papyrus!” he snapped.
“Sans, I’m sorry. Please don’t kill him. I’m sure he’s learned his lesson!” Papyrus pleaded for Doggo’s life even as he clutched his damaged socket, blood seeping between his fingers. Doggo nodded his enthusiastic agreement to Papyrus’ statement.
“Fine, just let go of my soul, Papyrus.” Sans’ red eyelights never left Doggo’s claws, dripping his brother’s blood onto the previously pristine snow.
“Promise me, Sans,” pressed the lanky skeleton. He knew his brother too well.
“I promise not to kill him,” growled Sans. As soon Papyrus released his soul, one of the Gaster Blasters dissipated with a whoosh. The other Blaster, however, spewed a beam of concentrated energy squarely into Doggo’s eyes.
“Sans!” Papyrus shouted in reproach as Sans dismissed his bone attack. Doggo collapsed at the base of the tree, clutching his face and howling in agony. Sans was already walking away, discarding the would-be murderer like so much human anime.
“C’mon Paps. I need to take a look at those scratches. The mangy bastard will live.” He added the word probably under his breath. Sans truly didn’t care either way, but his younger brother would be traumatized if he saw his assailant die.
Subdued, Papyrus followed Sans home. After inspecting the wound, Sans reassured his brother that his eyesight would be unaffected, but he would have a pretty intimidating scar over much of the left side of face. Sans had little hope that the scarring would discourage future attacks; the potential experience from a powerful monster was worth the risk to many who were trying to get ahead in the Fell. How long could Sans keep his brother safe? How long before he lost the only thing that mattered to him?
That night over a hot dinner of Papyrus’ lasagna and chilly silence, Sans concocted his most ambitious plan ever, a plan to construct a facade that would encompass their entire lives. Their new fabricated identities would be their armor against a dangerous world. Maybe the illusion of kill or be killed would suffice.
Sans set his plan in motion the next day while Papyrus stayed home to recuperate from his injuries. The first step? Approaching the Captain of the Royal Guard, Undyne, and convincing the savage fish monster to accept Papyrus into the Guard without testing him. Despite his high stats, Papyrus had failed to master even basic battle magic; turning a soul blue had been his one and only success.
The moment Sans stepped forward to speak to Undyne, he could feel her Checking him. The Captain had the audacity to laugh raucously at his meager stats before she outright insulted him.
“Whaddaya want, weakling?” she snapped, her one good eye constantly roving the ranks of the Guard. They feared her enough to behave, even behind her back. That’s why none of them even dared to gasp in shock when Sans challenged her to a fight.
She choked on laughter, doubled over, barely able to squawk a disbelieving “What?” before Sans continued, unfazed, tone icy.
“My brother wants to be Captain of the Royal Guard in Snowdin. He’s tired of the mutts running amok or lazing about, but he’s not interested in serving under a commander who’s all reputation and no substance. He wants me to see if you’re worth his time.”
Undyne glared daggers at the diminutive skeleton monster. “I guess your brother wants to be an only child.” On the last words, she lunged at Sans, summoning her spear in mid air and thrusting where Sans’ body had been a mere moment earlier. Undyne followed each of his movements with a stab of her weapon, trying and failing to anticipate his next dodge.
Screeching with frustration, the Captain of the Royal Guard increased her speed and redoubled her efforts to impale the puny being that mocked her. After a particularly skillful dodge, Sans summoned a pair of bones, driving them into the ground in a cross shape and trapping the pole arm beneath them. With a smug grin, he materialized a pair of Gaster Blasters. They awaited the command to gather magic, but Sans hoped that his performance had been adequate to satisfy Undyne.
Undyne glared. How had this miserable single hit point monster bested her? “You’re not bad, shrimp. Bring you brother to me tomorrow. I’d like to meet the monster cold enough to risk his brother for a Royal Guard position.”
Sans nodded, not trusting himself to speak. He’d exhausted every bit of energy within him for this victory; he couldn’t spoil it by fainting. No, he teleported home to do that, crashing face down on the bed into deep unconsciousness. He’d survived. He’d succeeded. Now he just had to get Papyrus to agree to his grand scheme. Later though. Now, he needed a nap.
“Are you sure this will work, Sans?” Papyrus asked for the umpteenth time that day, pawing nervously at the outfit Sans had designed for him. His brother had insisted he wear his favorite red boots, but the rest of the clothes were atrocious. A tattered shirt with armored shoulder pads left his spine exposed, and the low slung leather pants held up by the gaudy silver skull belt buckle didn’t even cover the crests of his hipbones. He thought the gloves and tattered scarf/cape looked just plain ridiculous. He didn’t want the other monsters to make fun of him!
When they arrived at the castle, the entire Royal Guard stood at attention to greet them. Those who had not been present for yesterday’s battle had been filled in by their fellow Guards, and by the time the story had fully circulated, it was well embellished. No one dared to mock the tall skeleton, imposing in his black and red attire, for fear of swift and fatal retribution.
Undyne strode haughtily forward to face the newcomer, and the heels of his boots lent Papyrus just enough height to be taller than her. Sans kept his face impassive, staying behind Papyrus at all times, giving the impression of a servile attitude.
“So you’re the great and terrible Papyrus?” Undyne’s voice held a mocking undertone, meant to challenge the tall skeleton with his angular features and gruesome scar.
“Obviously,” Papyrus shot back coolly. Just like they’d practiced.
“And what exactly do you propose to do as Captain of Snowdin’s Guards?” Undyne disliked the cold immensely and without her heavy-handed guidance, the dogs of the Guard had become something of a running joke.
“Patrol for humans and set puzzles and traps to befuddle and capture them. And no more rowdy parties, chugging junk food at that disgusting bar!” Papyrus improvised in the disdainful growl that he and Sans had agreed on. Sans would’ve patted his brother’s back, but that would break character.
“What makes you think there will ever be a human in Snowdin?” Much of Undyne’s reputation centered around her capture of a fallen human.
“What makes you think there won’t be?”
Silence fell in the wake of the insubordinate answer. Undyne’s booming laughter shattered it. She clapped a firm hand on Papyrus’ shoulder. “The position is yours!”
They’d done it!
Undyne’s sarcastic moniker stuck, and stories of the Great and Terrible Papyrus spread like wildfire, with a bit of help from some well-placed lies, courtesy of Sans. The new Captain appointed his weak, servile brother as a sentry, and rumor had it that he had done so to keep the smaller skeleton under his thumb. Doggo thanked his lucky stars that Papyrus had allowed Sans to punish him. His eyesight never fully recovered, but Doggo somehow convinced himself that Papyrus had intended to kill him when Sans intervened.
The ruse worked like a charm. For his part, Sans referred to his little brother as Boss and even wore a spiked red collar he’d found at the dump, pretending Papyrus had given it to him. The Great and Terrible Papyrus spent much of his time building traps and recalibrating his puzzles in the dense Snowdin forests. Nobody bothered him, fearing his wrath. Papyrus had an imperious nature and a scathing tongue, and no monster dared rile him enough to risk an attack.
As for Sans, nobody bothered him either. His laughable stats and his brother’s protection weren’t worth the measly experience or waste of time killing him. When they retired to their home at night, whispers ensued about what they must be up to behind the locked doors and blacked out windows.
Nobody could ever have guessed that the Great and Terrible Papyrus made lasagna for his brother most nights. They’d watch the latest MTT TV specials, and then Papyrus would don his bunny pajamas and Sans would read him Fluffy Bunny stories until he dozed off in his racecar bed.The skeleton brothers of Snowdin became Underfell’s best kept secret.
The pair had found a way to avoid killing or being killed. Most importantly, every night when Papyrus fell asleep, Sans would Check his stats. They remained the same, impressively high, except for one- the statistic that couldn’t be checked, Papyrus’ LV. It mirrored Sans’ own stats.
One.

Summary
Luka is a 15 year old boy, born with the blood of fallen angels in his veins. He's just an innocent, naive little boy, precious as can be, who dreams of a day when monsters and humans would coexist peacefully instead of all the opression that's widespread across the world. His mom, Lucifina, died from an epidemic when he was younger, so he's been living by himself at a young age. One day, ilias calls out to him in a vision and tells him to go and defeat the current monster lord, the latest in a long line of powerful yoma that traces back to the dark goddess herself. But since he's naive he decides to get baptized and do it, regardless of the fact that he'd probably die in an instant. He's walking back to his house one day, when he meets a strange yoma named Alice. He's forced to choose between helping her or going to his baptism, and of course he chooses to help. He befriends Alice and travels the world with her in his quest to defeat the monster lord and end racism.
Along the course of his quest, he goes from being a naive little boy with big dreams to a tougher-than-nails motherfucker who splits heaven and earth to bring a star down to hell just so he can counterattack someone, not to mention he single-handedly ends wars by defeating both armies himself.
Powers and Stats
Tier: At least High 2-A | Low 1-C | 1-C, possibly higher
Name: Luka, Fallen Angel, Corrupted hero, Son of Lucifina
Origin: Monster Girl Quest
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Classification: Human/Angel hybrid
Powers and Abilities: Superhuman physical characteristics, Space manipulation, Dimensional manipulation, Time manipulation, Soul manipulation, Acasuality, Weakness alteration, Sealing, Healing, Elemental manipulation, Matter manipulation, Death manipulation, Existence erasure resistance, Conceptual manipulation resistance, Matter manipulation resistance, Death manipulation resistance, Light manipulation, Darkness manipulation.
Attack Potency: High Multiverse Level+ (Defeated beings like Goddess Ilias and Adramelech, the former is the embodiment of perfect nonexistence on at the very least a 5D scale, while the latter can erase Multiversal SpaceTime on a near-conceptual level by existing) | Complex Multiverse Level (freely moved around within an isolated area of the multiverse, which was beyond even Goddess Ilias' perception. Completely unfazed, physically speaking, when Sonya Chaos warped reality using the Chaos, a phenomenon infinitely beyond a normal multiverse and which exists inside and outside of all multiverses as the antonym to all existence. Also unfazed when Adramelech at her full power manipulates the same phenomenon into outright destroying a universal section of existence itself. Spoke face-to-face with the overseer of countless 5D multiverses, and was able to defeat her when she was holding back. Defeated every one of Sonya's forms. Likely comparable to the seraphs.) possibly Higher (the MGQ verse follows quantum mechanics and wave functions, which opens the door towards possibly 11 dimensions, or, if we go farther to the extreme, infinite dimensions via hilbert space.)
Speed: Immeasurable (Could freely exist within, run around in, think within and even dodge light within places where conventional spacetime didn't exist, many times, and can speedblitz people who can do the same. Accessed a future point in another timeline by physically walking.)
Lifting Strength: Mountain Level (Escaped the grasp of a mountain-sized monster), probably higher (He's gotten much stronger since then.)| Immeasurable By nature of being a higher dimensional being.
Striking Strength: High Multiverse Level+ | Complex Multiverse level, possibly higher
Durability: High Multiverse Level+ (Traded blows with Adramelech and Goddess Ilias, is capable of defeating and tanking blows from the seraphs and the Lilith sisters.) | Complex Multiverse Level
Stamina: Very high (Able to climb entire mountains in little time, can fuck grills for days or even months straight, seldom even needing water.) | Immeasurable by nature of being a higher dimensional being.
Range: Possibly Universal (Caused an endlessly expanding being who could devour the entire universe if left unchecked to dissolve into a shapeless blob of flesh.)
Standard Equipment: The Angel halo, a baleful sword created by Heinrich by melting 666 angels alive and fusing them onto a sword. Can either kill, or seal when the enemy is weak enough, whichever the user may wish.
Intelligence: Genius (his mathematical knowledge impressed Promestein, who single-handedly discovered every field of modern science, including physics and quantum physics, with only rocks in a cave.)
Weaknesses: Becomes weak and bitch-like for about a day every time he cums.
Feats:
Is capable of effortlessly defeating Apoptosis, beings created from spacetime itself ripping itself apart and putting itself back together.
Can easily exist, move within, think, run laps within and dodge shit within places where conventional spacetime is destroyed as well as places that transcend spacetime.
Can effortlessly breach and move through inter-dimensional barriers.
Can easily move himself and others to and from isolated areas of spacetime (Pocket dimensions) as well as entirely separate timelines.
Traded blows with Adramelech, Sonya Chaos, and Tamamo, one of the six ancestors in her prime. All of them should be metaversal one way or another.
Able to seal and touch non-corporeal beings like angels.
Can heal himself both mentally and physically simply by focusing his mind.
Can imbue his blade with healing properties, which allows him to heal allies.
With holy energy-based attacks, he is capable of dissolving an opponent's physical body into light and sending their soul to heaven, the latter probably has something to do with soul manipulation and sealing.
Can transform enemies' bodies into stone statues with attacks that inflict petrification.
Can instantaneously end an opponent's life with most darkness-imbued attacks.
Can alter his enemies' weaknesses with taoism skills, which cause enemies to gain a heightened vulnerability to a specific element.
One-shot an AP-ignoring barrier while still in a relatively early and weak stage of the game.
Can hit and kill non-corporeal beings.
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
Daystar: A counter-attack which he performs when the enemy attempts to attack. Hits extremely hard. Later upgrades this to Infallible daystar, which is even more powerful.
Ninefold Rakshasa: A flurry of 9 sword strikes which only seraphim-level angels can use. Described as "near infinite" in-game, but it only hits 9 times. Upgrades this attack to Ninefold Rakasha: Asura, which basically just does more damage, and can thus be assumed is stronger than the original.
Fallen Angel Dance: Allows him to perfectly dodge most attacks, even those that are thrown at him by a being with immeasurable speed. His attacks also never miss and hit twice.
Heavenly Demon Revival: A concentration of Luka's power which deals massive damage. Later upgrades this attack to Heavenly demon revival: Gaia, which makes it even stronger.
Flash Kill: Splits the very fabric of space and time and can destroy even things that have AP-ignoring hax. Upgrades this attack to Flash kill: Destructive wind, which boosts it's strength massively.
Element Spica: A skill which deals horrendously massive damage, but costs a lot of stamina to perform. Imbued with the power of all 4 elemental spirits, who embody the universal concepts of their respective elements.
Quadruple Giga: Luka's strongest skill and a toned up version of element spica. If activated while the 4 spirits are in effect, it's power increases 10,000 fold. "The power of this skill is amplified by each spirit imbued in it. But if all four were at a power of ten, it wouldn’t be ten times four for forty... It would be ten to the fourth power for 10,000..."- Alipheese the 16th.
Note: By nature of being an angel, logic would imply that he also has Mid-Godly regeneration and types 1, 4 and 8 of immortality, but gameplay and the general story appears to contradict it. Could it be something to do with him being only a half-angel?

Magic Items: Staves
Acolyte’s Staff
Many of these ancient staves remain from the days when the Tevinter IMperium still ruled much of fErelden.  Infused with Lyrium, it serves as a channel for a mage’s power, able to fire bolts of energy in combat.
Stats: This +1 staff gives you a +2 to Spellcraft
Accuser’s Staff
Andranstian Mages once used staves like this one to exact justice against Maleficarum.  None have been seen since the towers age.  This was was unearthed during the Hakkon Campaign during the Wars of the Inquisition.
Stats: This +2 Spirit Stave deals 6 extra damage and grants you Barrier 20.
Blackened Heartwood STaff
The damage the darkspawn inflict is not limited to the violence they comit.  Their presence appears to corrupt, taining the earth and all that lives.  The staff was once mahogany heartwood, but no more.  Where the wood ends and the metal begins is not even clear.
Stats; This +3 Staff deals 1D4 extra damage and gives +4 to Resolve Saves
Blade of Tidarion
Archon Tidarion was of indisputably low birth.  He learned swordplay and tactics at his Legate father’s knee before his magical talent drew attention and Archon Aimadrius took him as an apprentice.  When Tidarion inherited the throne, the Magisters declared him unfit to rule: a soldier's son, with no Dreamer blood to speak of.  In the civil war that followed, Tidarion took to the field with a blade like a commoner and casting spell as only an Archon could.  He carved and burned a brutal path across Tevinter before he died on the battlefield, sword in hand.
Stat: This +4 sonic staff gives you Deflection 10%
Blizzard’s Path
Carved along the staff’s length “Be Cold, my son.  Empty yourself of compassion, for the Blizzard’s path strikes fear.  If you feel rage, let it be righteous.  Unleash it, and you will achieve greatness”.
Stats: This +3 bleeding staff has a 75% chance of exploding the target’s body upon a kill, killing 3D6 damage to everybody within 15 feet
Bloodwake
“We have made for centuries.  We will make for as many more.  THey could kill every mage and we would still make.  But they cannot.  Because of what we make”  Her hands of the Staveworks.
Stats: This +2 Spirit staff is +4 against non mages, and will let you heal 1D4 extra damage.
Charlatan’s Walking Stick
The Magnificent D’Sims was an elven “healer who “cured” hayseeds of nonexistent ailments.  Even though it was all a scam, the templars declared him apostate and took off his head.  Oddly, his staff turned out to be genuinely enchanted.
Stats: This +4 staff gives you +5 to Bluff Checks.
Cold-Blooded
Adain of Starkhaven escaped from the Circle of Magi in the winter of 8:76 Blessed, the coldest winter that the Freemarches had seen in decades.  He decided that it was better to die a free man than remain a servant to the Chanty and broke out of the Circle’s stronghold, fleeing into an unforgiving blizzard.  The templars gave chase, but there was little they could do in the harsh winds and bitter cold.  They came after Adain again in the spring, tracking him to his hideout.  But Ddain was prepared, and he tore them to pieces with blood magic, and destroy the phylactery they used to find him.  With the phylactery gone, Adain was finally free.  He married a young woman from the village of Hambleton, near Markham, and dedicated the rest of his life to the study of blood and primal magic.  When Adain passed on, he left his memoirs, his magical research, and his staff to his children, one of whom was also a mage.  The staff bears one notch on its shaft for every templar Adain dispatched over the course of his life.
Stats: Tthis +5 Staff gives you 10 extra mana, lets you regenerate 3 extra mana per round, deals 1D8 cold damage and gives you an additional point of many for every 5 HP used in blood magic.
Darkspawn Staff
A strange pole infused with blood and covered in small bones and darkspawn totems, this staff has been corrupted and tarnished by the torch of its former wielder.
Stats: This +1 Staff always hits and on a Crit followed by a 1 it will inflict a 1
Earnest Reprisal
Earnest Artelli lost his voice permanently due to a terrible fever during his tenure as Prelate of the ORder of Mortalitasi in 7:45 Storm.  This forced Artell to find other ways to communicate with his fellow death mages, including writing on a small slate, hand gestures and most frequently angrily shaking his staff as subordinates who failed to attend to his instructions quickly enough.  The last had the unintended consequences of occasionally setting fires in the vicinity; more than one acolyte fled the irrated prelate’s office with charred robes.  By 7:47, every Mortalitasi in Nevarra knew to watch the prelate’s staff for signs of Earnest’s imminent reprisal.
Stats: This +3 Spirit Staff deals 1D12 extra damage on a critical hit and grants you an extra 6 mana.
Fade-Knocker
A staff handcrafted for battle.   As Enchanter Islau once said: ‘Magic exists to serve man, and some are best served with a knock upside the head.”
Stats: This deals double damage on critical hits, +2 to WIll saves, 2% chance to cast Veilstrike on hit
Freedom’s Promise
As Calenhad grew into a man, one great contentious issue separated him from Aldenon: Calendhad’s faith.  As biddable as Calenhad was on some topics, never would he back down from matters of honor or Andraste.  What Aldenon believed, only Aldenon knew, but he most certainly did not believe in the Maker.  The friend’s arguments only grew hotter as the years passed.  But tha taside, the union of Calenhad’s peerless honor and Aldenon’s ingenuity overcame every obstacle set before them.  Rivals turned into friends, treacheries were uncovered, and impossible battles won.  But as we turned to Teryn Simeon, no one rested easy.  Teyrn Simeon’s host outnumbered us many times over.  He controlled the holy city of Denerim.  Many great and terrible warriors had sworn him fealty.  Aldenon conceived a plan to enlist strong allies and Calenhad went into the BRecillian Forest to make it so.  But unbeknownst to the mage, Calenhad had made contact with the Chantry.  When Calenhad returned at the head of the Ash Warriors as Aldenon expected, so as well did templars and Circle mages join our host.  Aldenon was in a fury such as i’ve never seen.  He wanted a kingdom of free men, of mortal people beholden to the law.  Where a common man could tend his lands safetly and in pace.  He lifted his staff and his voice echoed through the hills: “A civilization cannot be civil if it condones the slavery of another.  And that is what this Circle is!  But by accident of birth, those mages would be free to live, love, and die as they choose.  The Circles will break-if it be one year, a decade, a century or beyond.  Tyrants always fall, and the downtrodden always strive for freedom!”.  Then Aldenon left.  And although Lady Shayna slew Simeon that day and Calenhad ruled a united kingdom, my liege was not the same without his mentor and friend.  We live in the kingdom built on the dreams of two great friends, and we are all lessened by Aldenon’s departure.- From the Recollections of Ser Devith, banner knight of King Kalenhad.

Final Reason
This staff was held by several senior conjurers of the Cicle Tower, passed down from old master to new.  Errant students learned to fear it, for when all other forms of discipline failed, the Final Reason would produce obedience at the cost of significant pain and discomfort.
Stats: This +3 Fire Staff lets you remove all cooldowns 1/day
Flemeth’s Broomstick
This staff look nothing like a broomstick, but Flemeth, the famed Witch of the Wilds, would have little use for a normal broomstick anyway.  Whether she actually owned this staff is unclear.
Stats: This +2 gives 10% nature resistance and lets you cast Anti-Magic Burst
Grand Enchanter’s Staff
This staff has seen wear, perhaps from a recent battle.  The symbol burned into a grip says it belongs to the grand enchanter's of the Circle of Magi-or did at some point.
Stats: This +2 staff deals 1D6 extra damage has a 12% cast Mind Blast.
Hakkon’s Staff
Before he fell silent to the Avvar, Hakkon Winterbreath granted this gift only to Augurs willing to put their vision to practical use in battle for their holds.  Few have ever had the honor of carrying Hakkon’s Wisdom in their own hands, and fewer still lived to tell the tale.
Stats: This +6 Spirit staff deals double damage on critical hits and has a 41%  chance of casting stagger.  Every time you hit you have a 8% chance to heal 1d8 damage.
Harrowmont’s Staff
This staff came into the possession of CLan Harrowmont circuitously, inherited from a noble-hunter who had been given the staff by a grateful human mage for services unknown.  It spent some time as a backstracter.
Stats: This +1 Staff gives you +2 to Fortitude saves and is +4 against Caste Dwarves
Heart of Despair
From all around this staff comes a sound like sobbing and touching moments of one’s life.  Energy from the Fade ripples away as it moves, like fingers stirring still water.
Stats: This +2 Cold deals 1D4 cold damage to all enemies within 10 feet
Heart of the Forest
When Velanna’s clan returned to a favorite glade, they found it destroyed by fire.  Velanna shaped this staff from the undamaged core of the eldest tree there.
Stats: This +4 staff gives you +3 to Perception Saves, and regenerate 2 Mana per round.
Heart of Rage
This staff is warm to the touch and fills the ears of whoever carries it with the sound of a furiously beating heart.  Anyone nearby has the sense that someone else is there--just out of sight or hidden somehow.  Fade energy warps around it, giving the impression that nothing nearby is quite real.
Stats: This +2 burning fire staff deals 1D6 extra damage on a critical hit, it will upon hit shoot a burst of fire to deal 1D8 to another adjacent enemy, lets you cast See Invisibility 1/day, and gives you the Wielder 50% Fire Deflection and Fire Resistance.
Isana’s Song
This staff gives a faintly audible hum when touched:  A wistful tune, as if it were thinking of a faraway or forgotten place.
Stats: This +1 Lightning staff has a 10% chance to cast Chain lightning and gives a +1 to resolve and Will.
Kingfisher’s Staff
A mage called the Kingfisher visited the Deep Roads during the Ancient Age, casting lures into underground lakes in hopes of hooking the elusive Blind Tetrava.  The wily swimmer never took the bait, but the mage’s staff has caught many a poor soul in the centuries since.
Stats: This +1 Sonic staff grants you Barrier 6 and lets you heal 1D4 damage 1/day as a free action.
LIghtning Rod
The women who first hefted this staff was struck by lightning.  The Staff survived, the mage didn’t.  Holding this thing is unnerving.  Whose idea was it to make this thing conductive?
Stats: This +2 Lightning Staff 10% Electricity. Resistance, lets you cast Lighting 1/day
Magister’s Staff
Originally wielded by one of the Magisteres of the ancient Tevinte rMperium, this s taff was taken from its owner during the the great wars led by Andraste long ago.
Stats: This +2 Spirit Staff lets you regenerate 1 Mana per round.
Malcolm’s Honor
Malcolm and Leandra fled across the Waking Sea, to a new life away from the cold shadow of the Gallows.  It took some doing, but the vastness of Ferelden allowed them to fall beneath the notice of their templars pursuers.  They settled in the small village of Lothering, where Malcolm made every effort to ensure that his children didn’t fear magic, and were well insulated against those who did.  Malcolm had picked up a trick or two, here and there, and this deceptively simple staff shows the breadth of his knowledge.  More an ongoing project than a specialist’s tool, it is the handiwork of someone comfortable with the life he must live, for as long as he was granted the opportunity to live it.
Stats: This +1 Stave is +3 against Undead, +4 against Vessals, and +5 against Fade Demons.  It lets you regenerate 10 Mana per 3 rounds.  1/day for 2 rounds you can increase all of your saves by 1, 1/day for 8 rounds you can deal double damage.
Maligned Staff
ANy mage can sense the undeinable power of this staff, but also the corruption that infuses it by the essence of the blight itsef.  The surface is slick, as if coated with a foul oil that will never quite clean, making it all the more unnerving to wield.
Stats: This +5 Staff gives -1 to adroitness and lets you deal 1D12 lightning and spirit damage.  Risks taining
Oak Branch
A branch taken from the Grand Oak, this staff seems as if it’s still alive.  It is warm to the touch, the wood almost shifting and moving underneath one’s fingers
Stats: This +2 Nature Staff gives +2 consitution
Pyre of the Forgotten
The forgotten Ones belong to the ancient Elven pantheon but their names were lost after the Great Betrayal.  Their worship continued in the shadows, despite efforts to stamp it out in the old Dalish kingdom.  The staff belonged to a priest of those gods specifically Daern’thal.
Stats: This +3 Acid Staff will ignore up to 7 DR.
Scepter of Razikale
This ancient priesthood of Razikale, Old God of Mystery once carried staves like this one as badges of office.
Stats: This +4 Ice Staff lets you cast Fade Cloak 1/day
Spellfury
This staff is covered in old Tevinter script.  It reads “yours is the fury of the elements”
Stats: This +4 staff gives you +1 to your casting stat and lets you make an extra staff attack per round
Staff of Aidahn Allied
The spread of red lyrium is inexorable, unending-the key for turning corrupted foes against their masters.  This nightmarish practically identifies the work as that of inimitable Arcanist Dagna.  Like all children of the Stone, she doesn’t have to worry how such experiments might affect her dreams.  She keeps track of their names, though. That’s about respect.
Stats: This +2 Spirit Stave is +4 against living creature and ignores Damage
Staff of Corruption
If they call us corrupt, let us be corruption.  Let us spread across the land, a darkness from which they will not awake.  Let us turn brother against brother while we laugh from the shadows.  The Venatori will destroy this land from within until a new Tevinter emerges, stronger than ever.
Stats: This +1 Staff lets you ignore barriers, 2% of casting fear per hit
Staff of Parthalan
During the Exalted March, the Tevinter Empirium was in chaos.  Magister parthalan and two high-ranking magisters were sent to Kirkwall to put down the slave uprising before it spread to the entire empire.  However, their legion never arrived at Kirkwall; no one knows what happened to the party, Magister Parthalan-or his fabled staff
Stats: This +4 fire staff ignores DR and grants 24 extra mana.
Staff of the Lost
The beauty of this staff has suffered little, considering how long it spent in darkspawn hands.
Stats: This +1 staff gives 15% spirit resistance, 35 extra mana, and all damage is increased by half.  It lets you reroll any taint check.
Staff of the Magister Lord
Among the last magister lords to invade Ferelden in the glory days of the TEvinter Empire was the infamous Tlaxius.  His staff was one of the masterpieces of enchantments of that age.
Stats: This +5 staff can deal Spirit or Fire Damage, gives you +3 to Resolve Saves, and 2 extra mana regeneration.
Staff of the Void
A weapon that stills the air around it.  The inscription is old Tevinter Imperium: There is strength in absence.  Absence of weakness, and of limitation.  Absence of caution and of mercy.  The Void has always been within.
Stats: This +3 Spirit staff has a 10% to cast Walking Fortress.
Staff of Violation
Sketch’s Split-Shaft
Two staves split and bound to gain the benefits of both.  One images such a workaround would offend a true enchanter, but Sketch is always happy to disappoint his would-be masters in the Circle
Stats: This +2 staff gives you +5 to AC
Old Friend
First Enchanter Casimira was no blood mage!  Hogwash!  Your story of her investing dark arts into the staff is just that: a fable.  Casimira was, in fact, the first leader of Kirkwall’s Circle of Magi.  She was saddled with the great task of transforming a decrepit, crumbling pirson into a proper home for mages tarnsferred to her from all over Thedas.  Some of those mages were apostates, men and woman one step away from being rendered Tranquil, and it was her unfortunate task to keep order.  How many battles did she fight in those early days?  How much blood was spilled on these grounds?  Casimira had to be a hard woman, but she did it to keep the templars from declaring the Right of Annulment and killing us all.  And your other rumor that she was arrested by the first knight-commander?  I am telling you it isn’t so.  I have studied the records, and the truth of the matter is that Casimira was taken by a demon and slain before she could endanger the tower.  The templars admired her strength in holding the demon back long for them to act.  It was a noble sacrifice, and Casmira’s staff was kept by the first enchanter's to commemorate this.  It saddens me that people choose to dwell on its form rather than the lesson it signifies.
Stats: This +5 spirit staff gives you a +3 to Mind Saves and you have a 10% of casting Walking Bomb
Slyvan’s Mercy
This looks like a branch that has been torn from a living tree.  There is an aura of spite about it, as if it were filled with wasps.
Stats: This +1 Staff gives you 5% nature resistance and lets you cast Stinging Swarm 1/day
The Sunless Staff
Supposedly crafted in the dread Sunless Lands south of Korcari Wilds, this staff was wielded by the shaman to the Avvar warlord Balak, who swept into Fereldan Valley at the height of the Steel Age.  Balak was defeated, but the shaman vanished during the final battle in the southern Hinterlands.
Stats: This +5 Spirit Lets you cast Veilstrike 1/day
Tempest
The lady of the Skies reigns over the sky and the dead and the Avvar lay out bodies to her, to be buried in the air itself.  The ice and snow are her gifts, defending her people from invaders, and her protective rage is merciless.
Stats: This +4 Spirit Staff gives +2 to Will Saves
Tempest’s Center
Pressing an ear to this staff reveals the sound of wind howling inside
Stats: This +3 staff will deal 3D4 extra lightning damage to a random enemy around you
Yavanalis
Following the Dalish clans’ diaspora from Halamshiral in the Glory Age, one of the Keepers became famous for his vicarious attacks on Orlesians.  Known among humans as “The Pale Demon” he blasted unprotected merchants or soldiers with a blizzard from his staff, even in summer.  The attacks lasted until chevaliers killed the Keeper and his entire clan.
Stats: This +5 Ice Staff gives 20 bonus upon kill and grants Frost Resistance 70%
Torch of Embers
The dark twists of this staff seems to whisper something just a little too soft to hear.
Stats: This +2 Fire Staff gives you 10% fire resistance gives you a +2 to spellcasting DC
The Dragon’s Call
In the Exalted Age, the Grey Warden named Lemke killed one of the last surviving dragons in the Free Marches.  The beast’s bones were wrought into a suit of dragonbone armor and this powerful staff
Stats: This +5 staff gives the wielder +3 to AC while fighting Darkspawn.
Valdasine
In the ancient days before the darkspawn, when dwarven cities wound through the roots of all the earth, House Valdasine single-handedly kept the empire supplied with lyrium.  One day the mining family shuts the door of their thaig.  They spoke not to their noble patrons, nor their king, and not even a visiting Paragon.  Days passed in silence before the doors ot Valdasine Thaig opened.  Anxious partner discovered it empty.  Not one soul remained-no bodies and no sign of what had happened.   House Valdasine only left a staff of strange metal behind.  It looked like lyrium and chilled one’s heart like a remembered sorrow.  The king sealed the staff inside the thaig, and no dwarf ever ventured there again.- As Recounted by Shaper Merta
Stats: This +2 Lightning staff gives you 5 extra mana.
Wilhelm’s Magus Staff
Rust clings to the dents and scars of this once-mighty staff.  It clearly survived many heroic battles before being consigned to disuse and neglect.
Stats: This +3 staff deals 1D6 extra lightning or fire damage, and provides 25% Fire Resistance
Winter’s Breath
The core of this staff contains enchanted ice that never melts.  It’s said that is what fuels this powerful tool.
Stats: This +2 Frost damage gives you 25% cold resistance and constant emits cold.  Can cast Winter’s breath 1/day

Do all thirty of those identity things have fun
do you have a creed?you bet your ass i’ll have fun
if someone wanted to really understand you, what would they read, watch, and listen to? - uhhhhh fuckiinnnnn.... off the top of my head, im sure im missing a lot of important stuff here: listen to hawaii part 2, dinosaurchestra through to spirit phone of the lemon demon discography, and a bunch of miscellanious game music / siIvagunner. and just like have a base understanding of what vaporwave is about. probably you could get a pretty good sense for what im like by going through several hundred pages of this blog honestly. also if youve ever [media appropriate verb]ed anything where theres a theme of alternate timelines and resets and all that. lots of stuff has that kind of stuff going on recently. rick and morty, pokemon, hs, ut, you name it. also also, the story of the hollows from dark souls and the themes it brings up speaks to me on some level, so theres that.
have you ever found a writer who thinks just like you? if so, who? - no i dont think so. i dont really do a lot of reading anymore, even though i used to be captain books when i was younger.
list your fandoms and one character from each that you identify with. - god this is a good question but the way its worded just doesnt jive with me. its so 2013 tumblr you know? that being said the more i think about this the less of an answer i have. sorry thats boring and not giving an answer defeats the whole point of the ask.
do you like your name?  is there another name you think would fit you better? - i guess. i mean its alright, im not really sure what i would rename myself to if it was up to me to choose. i like that you guys all call me “mayor” here though. obviously that doesnt work outside of the internet but like you know.
do you think of yourself as a human being or a human doing? do you identify yourself by the things you do? - instead of adressing the stupid jumble of words masquerading as a deep question, im gonna take this opportunity to express my worry that my answers to these asks might just be a bunch of inane, barely legible rambling. if nothing else im sorry that my formatting is shit. in response to that second question though, yeah sure i guess. dont we all?
are you religious/spiritual? - pffffft no no no.
do you care about your ethnicity? - not particularly, although i realize that the fact that that’s my answer is a luxury in and of itself
what musical artists have you most felt connected to over your lifetime? - like i get that technically its not a wrong usage, but “lifetime” feels like its implying that im way older than i am and also that im dying. anyways. neil cicierega, recently at least. although im well aware that connecting to someones music is different than knowing them as a person, its a lot more interpretive than just actually getting to know someone.
are you an artist? - debatably.
do you have a creed? - nope.
describe your ideal day. - its foggy and raining outside, me and my lover are curled up in bed with food and computers. maybe we go out and take a walk, mostly we just spend the whole day together. mayb we’re having conversations that arent as deep as we think they are. maybe we’re playing games. doesnt really matter. we’re together.
dog person or cat person? - cats. arent you guys happy when my answer to something isnt three run-on sentences worth of esoteric thought?
inside or outdoors? - indoors. i just realized that you can say “side” or “doors” for both of those words and it means the same thing either way. thats kind of interesting isnt it?
are you a musician? - nope. i like the idea of being one, but i dont think i have whatever it is it takes to be one. a bunch of my coworkers assumed i was though, so thats something. must have been my hair.
five most influential books over your lifetime. - uhhhhh
if you’d grown up in a different environment, do you think you’d have turned out the same? - theres probably a preppier version of me out there in an alt timeline? idk. i wish someone got me to learn how to code earlier, thats relevant to my interests and actually useful going into the 21st century. as it stands im just starting out now, shit at it, and beating myself up over the fact that im not that good at it despite the fact that sitting on my computer all day is just what i do. its a small event if i bother going anywhere.
would you say your tumblr is a fair representation of the “real you”? - ehh? idk. nobody is exactly the same in all contexts, the situation you’re in influences how you’ll act, that doesnt mean one of them is more of the “real you” than any of the others, theyre all facets of one person. god that was pretentious and psuedo-intellectual. the point im getting at is “yeah sure.”
what’s your patronus? - i took a test online and it gave me a hare. so there you go. i wouldve assumed some kind of bird but w/e.
which Harry Potter house would you be in? or are you a muggle? - i took a test for this too and it said slytherin. now im having a small crisis over whether or not im an edgy boy.
would you rather be in Middle Earth, Narnia, Hogwarts, or somewhere else? - the pokemon world is pretty idyllic all things considered, lets go with that.
do you love easily? - nope. i crush easily though. though for what its worth, i can always tell its not real love, so i never wind up acting on it. mostly im just constantly lowkey sad that i cant find anyone to have a long term relationship with. how the fuck do you become close to someone.
list the top five things you spend the most time doing, in order. - christ dude idk i dont have stats for this shit
how often would you want to see your family every year? - .3 times a year sounds good to me. i’d settle for .5
have you ever felt like you had a “mind-meld” with someone? - no. what does that even mean.
could you live as a hermit? - “could” i? i think you mean “do”. and yes.
how would you describe your gender/sexuality? - captain privellege. the downside though is i dont know even one straight woman, so ive got nobody to fall in love with. real inconvinience this is. not much anybody could do about it.
do you feel like your outside appearance is a fair representation of the “real you”? - i’ll spare you guys another ramble a la question 17. my point would be “yeah sure i guess”
on a scale from 1 to 10, how hard is it for someone to get under your skin? - depends on the person, if im not already predisposed to liking you its probably like a 4. none of you people reading this will probably have to worry about it though, id assume if youre the kind of person who would send an ask or message me youre also probably the kind of person i like, so dont feel scared of bothering me. i’ll be pretty clear if you are. [which you won’t be]
three songs that you connect with right now. - i alays have so much less to say about music than i think i will. borns - electric love, mystery skulls - get it together, hotline miami ost - daisuke
pick one of your favorite quotes.- guys i want you all to know how much i hate that quotes are one of those things that immediately drain out of your mind as soon as youre asked to recall one. theyre like jokes. im gonna default to my usual boring answer of morty’s “nobody exists on purpose, nobody belongs anywhere, everybody’s gonna die” speech to summer. i wish i could come up with something better for that though, im not feeling that nihilistic right now.
lemme use a couple more fuckin commas here, just sprinkle some in there,

CREATURES FROM MYTHIKA: D
Tumblr media
DACTYL (Greek Myth)(Humanoid/Dwarf/Construct)(Medium)(Best Stat: Defense):  Dactyl are an chaotic race of dwarves that are obsessed with mechanics and metals. They are behind the creation of countless constructs such as the Golems, Gold-Digging Ants and the Juggernauts, but also behind the creation of the most powerful armor and weapons. These mechaniacs are obsessed with replacing flesh with metal, turning their victims into horrifying golems or worse and also replacing their own flesh with mechanical parts, becoming more monstrous with every replacement. Some Dactyl went too far with replacing their own flesh with metal and they turned into golem-like constructs all-together.
DEATH WORM (Mongolian Myth)(Aberration/Vermin)(Large)(Best Stat: Defense): Giant red worms that dig through the hot desert sands hunting for anything that moves and which they can swallow whole. Death Worms are named after their ability to bring death in multiple ways, they can swallow you whole, shock you with their magical lightning, poison you with their slime and their acid blood burns you to death, also their poisonous tail-stinger can sting you to death.
Tumblr media
DELGETH (Native American Myth)(Demon/Anaye/Beast)(Huge)(Best Stat: Strength): These fiery Moose-like creatures burn with hatred and they leave a trail of abyssal fire and destruction behind them. Delgeth are the least intelligent of the Anaye Demons and the most wild ones, turning an area into a burning sea of flames is all they love to do. Getting burned by the Delgeth’s demonic fire will hurt the very soul and the pain will never heal without the help of magic.
DEVALPA (Arabian Myth)(Plant/Parasite)(Small)(Best Stat: Charisma): Whenever a mindless Mandrake root drinks the blood of a demon it will turn into the intelligent and horrifying parasite plant known as Devalpa. These magical shapeshifting plants often use cloaks and minor illusions to appear as humanoid children or crippled old men that beg to be carried to the closest town. Whenever a kind soul offers this help however the true nature of this parasitic plant becomes clear and its root-like tentacle-arms and legs will burrow into the flesh of the victim and entangle its throat and connect to the victims spine, the kind helper will become a living host for this demonic plant and a way of easy locomotion. Whenever a victim disagrees the plant just moves the roots onto the spine, giving insane pain to the victim who then agrees to do anything for the Devalpa. Devalpa will also slowly drain the victim of its life energy and blood until nothing remains but a exhausted, drained corpse.
DHEEYABERY (Australian Myth)(Ooze/Shapeshifter)(Medium)(Best Stat: Stealth): These horrible, smelly flesh oozes use disguise as a weapon, their smell will attract scavengers which will be killed and absorbed in their fleshy mass, humanoids will be lured in by taking vaguely humanoid forms out of its fleshy mass, at close range this disguise is easily seen, but at far range these creatures really look like humans that need help, when a curious or helpful person will come to close the Dheeyabery will lash out with its fleshy ooze tentacles and add the victim to its ever-growing mass.
Tumblr media
DIJIANG (Chinese Myth)(Aberration)(Large)(Best Stat: Charisma):  Pets of the Chaos God Hundun which created them with cruel intensions. All a Dijiang wants is to play and dance with other creatures, but their dangerous chaos aura’s and bizarre appearance often ends in mass confusion and chaos. Whenever another creature looks at a Dijiang for too long, or stays around it for too long they lose their sanity, because of this the Dijiang rarely finds a good playing partner and this makes the creature sad and sometimes even dangerous.
Tumblr media
DINGONEK (African Myth)(Beast/Chimerae)(Large)(Best Stat: Defense): The dangerous Dire Pangolin or Dingonek are vile carnivores that hunt for big beasts and humans. They use their armored bodies as living weapons, their tails are covered in sharp spikes, they have a rhino-like horn, pangolin like scales and bizarre large tusks like a walrus or smilodon. Their scales are even more magical, when used to make an armor this adds to the magic protection of the armor, as their scales are highly magic resistant.
Tumblr media
DJIEIEN (Native American Myth)(Beast/Vermin/Undead)(Medium)(Best Stat: Defense): These solifugid-like arachnids are bizarre vermin with two phases in life, you have to kill them twice first as vermin then as undead. They are born with necrotic blood which means they automatically revive as undead creatures when slain. For this reason they are also known as Lich Spiders. Some myths about the creatures tells about how they hide their own rotten hearts and the only way to kill them is to pierce their heart, but this isn’t true, their undead forms are just very hard to kill, you have to aim for their hearts to kill them. Their poison resurrects weak creatures as undead puppets, but only for a small amount of time.
DOPPELGANGER (German Myth)(Aberration/Alien/Shapeshifter)(Medium)(Best Stat: Stealth): Sneaky, Evil aliens that invaded Earth and other planets ages ago, making great use of their magical talents to take any humanoid form they desire. Doppelgangers are perfect shapeshifters that can copy any humanoid creature their own size they have seen in their lives, they can create perfect copies of humanoids they have slain and from which they have devoured the heart and brains from. Doppelgangers are power-lusty creatures that crave for high functions in society and often try to replace war-leaders and kings, slowly moving their way through their protectors and advisors until they finally become and replace the King themselves. They shift very fast and it is almost impossible to spot.
DOROTABO (Japanese Myth)(Elemental/Undead)(Large)(Best Stat: Stealth): The Dorotabo is a horrifying undead mud elemental. Most Dorotabo are created from farmers who drowned in their own mud or victims of quicksand. They are often called Mudmen and appear in mud puddles out in the swamps where they create more of their kind by pulling in more victims. While they are mostly made from mud, their face is a skull and their arms contain some swamp plant vines that help them with dragging prey in.
DRAUGR (Norse Myth)(Undead/Shapeshifter)(Medium/Large)(Best Stat: Strength): Brought back to the state of undead by mysterious powers and curses of the sea, the Draugr are powerful drowned pirates, sailors, barbarians and captains that once sailed the seas with pride and now do so again with bitter hate and an uncanny lust for bloodshed. They can summon magical mist, and their ships are always shrouded in thick layers of sickening, cursed or suffocating fog, they have limited powers of the winds and they can increase their own size to become giant-sized. While most Draugr haunt oceans with their Ships, there are also solitary Draugr that haunt the lonely rivers, lakes and swamps they drowned in. Draugr often work for Davy Jones, the mysterious sea deity, which is also behind their curse.
DROP BEAR (Australian Myth)(Beast)(Small)(Best Stat: Stealth): Not really a joke to the people from the jungles in Mythika, these dangerous beasts take the form of cuddly Koala bears and drop themselves on prey walking underneath their favorite trees. Drop Bears can increase their own mass and gravity, becoming as heavy as a rock, crushing the skulls of creatures they fall upon and surviving the fall down as their bodies become hard as rock.
Tumblr media
DRUJ NASU (Persian Myth)(Demon/Vermin)(Medium)(Best Stat: Speed): As the incarnations of corruption, dead matter and defilement these giant female fly horrors have the worst reputation. When one of these hateful demons nests in an area it will be corrupted into a ugly wasteland full of putrid creatures and other horrors. One bite of these demonesses and your flesh will melt away into a puddle of fleshy corruption, giving life to horrid fungi and oozes. These are among the most hated of demons and they serve only the lord of flies called Beelzebub. Druj Nasu are always surrounded by swarms of horseflies and worse which will attack anything that comes near their demonic “mother” the buzzing and stench is enough to drive most creatures mad or nauseated.
Tumblr media
DULLAHAN (Irish Myth)(Undead/Fae)(Medium)(Best Stat: Speed): Dullahan’s are the Horseman of Death’s most loyal Generals, they command the lesser minions of death with an iron fist, and their many death-like abilities serve the undead well. They were once proud Elven Kings or Erlkings before they fell from grace and got themselves beheaded by their own race. Burning with vengeance they now roam the forests on their evil black stallions hunting for the heads of other creatures while holding their own head in their undead hands as painful reminder of their glorious pasts. Some advanced Dullahan ride in chariots of doom, still others ride undead Wyverns into battle.
Tumblr media
DYBBUK (Jewish Myth)(Demon/Spirit/Parasite)(Medium)(Best Stat: Intelligence): The Dybbuk is a terrible demonic spirit that possesses a victim, uses its body for it dark ends and then jumps over in the next victim when it is discovered or bored with the host. It is very hard to remove a Dybbuk spirit from a host and even when the exorcism succeeds there is a very big chance the victim dies later from stress. Many creatures mistake a Dybbuk for a spectral undead, but they are incorporeal demons. Some creatures/characters that have the power of true-seeing can see the Dybbuk spirit hanging behind the victim they possess, acting much like a puppeteer to the victims body.

@NOTE: All pictures found on GOOGLE PICTURES, not my own work, and mostly here to give an impression of what the creatures COULD look like.
If you see your own artwork and want it removed, just PM me about and I instantly remove it.
@NOTE 2: While all these creatures come from mythology, I gave my own spin to these creatures, many of these creatures don’t have the powers and abilities I gave them.

All the evens for all your girls!
Rest of the questions here. I’m putting an (***) asterisk next to the questions that I’ve answered with my College/Modern AUs in mind.
2: Where does your OC work?***
Jhera Mahariel: Odd jobs here and there; she really enjoys working with the Theatre Department whenever possible.
Evaine Hawke: Animal shelter. She gets to pet the cats and walk the dogs. It is heaven.
Ladwyn Lavellan: In college, she works in the library. In the separate Inquisition Modern AU she’s an adjunct art history professor (haven’t thought about careers for Jhera and Evaine yet).
4: Does your OC prefer paper or plastic?***
Jhera Mahariel: Cash. Credit seems like too much of a hassle. Not many banks out by the rez.
Evaine Hawke: No preference between cash and debit, but it’s rare for her to use a credit card in a non-emergency situation.
Ladwyn Lavellan: Ladwyn prefers to have a credit card just because it’s easier to impulse buy things at three am that way. She needs to have those throw pillows and desk organizers STAT.6: Does your OC have any supernatural powers?
Jhera Mahariel: She is supernaturally good at hitting things.
Evaine Hawke: Mage
Ladwyn Lavellan: Also mage
8: What are some of your OCs strengths?
(doing three for each)
Jhera Mahariel: Tenacity, impressive physical strength (esp. for her size), great leadership skills
Evaine Hawke: Loyal, thoughtful, makes friends easily
Ladwyn Lavellan: Ambitious, adventurous, practical10: What is your OC’s favorite outfit?
Jhera Mahariel: She has a traditional Dalish dress of her mother’s that she only wears on very special occassions. Zevran also gave her a dress from Antiva City that she absolutely adores.
Evaine Hawke: Evaine is most comfortable in soft tee-shirts, dark-washed jeans, and combat boots.
Ladwyn Lavellan: Ladwyn lives that “long tunic and leggings” life, along with an assortment of earth-tone blouses, flowy skirts, and cardigans that Dorian affectionately calls “hippie librarian chic”.
12: Is your OC sexually active?
Jhera Mahariel: She and Zevran are the Morticia and Gomez of Thedas so... very much so.
Evaine Hawke: Yep
Ladwyn Lavellan: *looks at Haleni* She would be lying if she said no.14: Does your OC have a cell phone? If so, what kind?***
Jhera Mahariel: A seemingly indestructible flip-phone
Evaine Hawke: A Nokia Windows phone. She has... bad luck with phones. She needed a sturdier one.
Ladwyn Lavellan: A smartphone that’s two or three generations behind the current model. She wants one small enough to fit in her pocket, thanks.16: When is your OCs favorite time of year?
Jhera Mahariel: Summer
Evaine Hawke: The height of fall into the first half of winter
Ladwyn Lavellan: Spring, before it gets too hot
18: What kind of underwear does your OC wear?***
Jhera Mahariel: Most likely of the three to splurge on fancy lingerie
Evaine Hawke: Whatever’s clean; is weak for the novelty underwear with sarcastic/punny phrases on them
Ladwyn Lavellan: Boyshort addict
20: What’s your OCs favorite kind of pizza?***
Jhera Mahariel: Sicilian
Evaine Hawke: Buffalo chicken
Ladwyn Lavellan: Sausage and peppers
22: Has your OC ever killed someone?
They all have, but I’ll point out specific character-defining instances.
Jhera Mahariel: Killed scores of darkspawn, mercenaries, etc, but her duel with Loghain sticks with her.
Evaine Hawke: Killed Quentin, the Arishok, and Grace. She is only remotely okay with the last one, though she knows all were necessary.
Ladwyn Lavellan: Killed thirteen “rabbit-catchers” along the Minanter River before her seventeenth nameday. She earned her vallaslin from that, but was severely altered by the experience.
24: What does your OC smell like?***
(going for preferred perfume courtesy of Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab)
Jhera Mahariel: Rogue
Evaine Hawke: Spiced Apple Cider
Ladwyn Lavellan: Ogygia
26: Is your OC a human or an animal? (or something else idk)
Jhera Mahariel: Elf
Evaine Hawke: Human
Ladwyn Lavellan: Elf
28: Does your OC like anime?***
Jhera Mahariel: Hasn’t seen any yet
Evaine Hawke: Yes, Slayers is her favorite
Ladwyn Lavellan: She’s enjoyed what she’s seen, but is more familiar with Miyazaki movies
30: What does your OC choose to do about the, er, hair down there?
A resounding shrug for all three.
32: Did your OC go to college? What did they major in?***
Jhera Mahariel: Literature
Evaine Hawke: Liberal Arts
Ladwyn Lavellan: Art History
34: Is your OC religious?
Jhera Mahariel: prays regularly, but is uncomfortable practicing her faith outside her clan
Evaine Hawke: Would be considered a witch, but does not consider herself Andrastean
Ladwyn Lavellan: She is that person who says she’s, “spiritual, not religious”. Sometimes she finds comfort in the rituals of her traditional worship, but mostly she’s concerned with being a good person.
36: What turns your OC on?
Jhera Mahariel: Really good massages, has a thing for hands
Evaine Hawke: Sarcastic banter and bad jokes
Ladwyn Lavellan: Competence kink
38: Does your OC have any pets?
Jhera Mahariel: One mabari
Evaine Hawke: One mabari (for now)
Ladwyn Lavellan: Shared custody of Cullen’s obscenely large mabari
40: What is the craziest thing your OC has done?
Jhera Mahariel: Fighting the archdemon
Evaine Hawke: Buy the Bone Pit
Ladwyn Lavellan: Open a rift directly into the Fade
42: Does your OC drink coffee or tea?
Jhera Mahariel: Coffee
Evaine Hawke: Tea
Ladwyn Lavellan: Herbal tea
44: What color eyes does your OC have?
Jhera Mahariel: Dark brown
Evaine Hawke: Blue
Ladwyn Lavellan: Grey
46: Is your OC loyal?
A resounding YES for all three.
48: What social class is your OC from?
Jhera Mahariel: Second-class as far as shems are concerned. In Dalish social hierarchy she’s a few rungs up because of her mage ancestry and the fact that one of her parents was a Keeper.
Evaine Hawke: Upper class on her mother’s side, veeeery distant nobility on her father’s side as a descendant of Parthalan, but is a mage so all of that is moot. Second-class on technicality, but being Champion balances it out.
Ladwyn Lavellan: As a mage and First she is treated with the utmost respect; her advice is sought and her orders are rarely questioned.
50: Does your OC cry easily?
Jhera Mahariel: No, she cries very rarely
Evaine Hawke: Not in the moment; it hits her after the fact
Ladwyn Lavellan: She can hold it in until she’s alone
52: How does your OC feel about insects?
Jhera Mahariel: Ambivalent
Evaine Hawke: Insects, meh. Arachnids, NOPE.
Ladwyn Lavellan: NOOOOOOOPE.
54: Does your OC smoke?***
Jhera Mahariel: She likes Antivan cigars
Evaine Hawke: Weed yes, cigarettes no
Ladwyn Lavellan: Used to be a stress smoker, but hasn’t in years.
56: What kind of clothes does your OC wear?
Pretty much covered by #10.
58: Is your OC introverted or extroverted?
Jhera Mahariel: Extroverted
Evaine Hawke: Extroverted introvert
Ladwyn Lavellan: Introvert
60: Does your OC enjoy nature?
Jhera Mahariel: Yes, the forests are her favorite
Evaine Hawke: As long as it’s not too... nature-y. Campgrounds are okay, open wilderness is too disquieting.
Ladwyn Lavellan: Yes, loves rocky shores and mountains. Haaaaates deserts. Deserts can fuck right off.
