6. Which of your d&d characters has been the least like you?

My most recent character - a little 70 year old cat lady (literally - a tabaxi) called Catricia Piesmith. She was the local baker and that was pretty much all of me that I put in her: I made her very calm in battle (I'm super competitive); always looking for the peaceful resolution (see previous); very gentle voiced and just very grandmothery.

I really like her though! She's the result of a new personal rule I've made which is that all my characters must be actively trying to be good people - that extra effort into creating moments of kindness with your fellow party members helps gel the dynamic nice and fast, especially compared to the classic Edgy Lone Wolf (which is a stupid character type for a game that is ultimately team based).

10. What is your favorite class to play?

I LOVE monks. I'm still relatively new so full magic classes scare me, so monk is a happy middle ground: complex and adaptable for a fully melee class, but not overwhelming like magic classes. Also just slapping a bitch really fast is really fun. Everyone should be travelling with a monk.

Are girls who have shorter maiko periods due to their age given the same respect as those who startrted younger and given more oppurtunity and time to hone their skills? I read somewhere but am not sure if it's accurate that those who debuted directly as jikata and tachikata Geiko had less rank

Of course! Respect is given based on the day of debut, so even if they had a short maiko period they are still given respect for the time that they’ve spent in active duty. In some cases jikata are looked on in different terms since they almost never spend any time as maiko and were expected to learn years of study that a maiko would learn (and then some) in only a year, but this is because they debuted as adults and are expected to act like adults at all times; this means that they have no onesan to apologize for them (usually) and must take responsibility for their actions from Day 1. This also means that a newly debuted jikata has less seniority than all current maiko and geiko, so it can be a bit awkward for them to have to refer to young maiko as their onesan when at ozashiki ^^
