Fictober, Day 3: Full Moon
My first one for StarSoba’s fictober! It’s small, but I hope you enjoy it! :D
Gruvia: Full Moon
              It was dark where they had decided to camp. Clouds hid the stars and moon from sight. Juvia had been out in the woods before, of course, but for some reason—even though she was with her darling Gray—she felt on edge. The wind seemed to whisper through the trees. It was at times like this she really wished she could hold Gray’s hand.
              “Gray-sama!” She smiled, clasping her hands together. She was scared—but she wasn’t going to show it. She could take care of herself of course, but there was something about these woods that was really putting her on edge. Maybe it was just that this was their first job alone…?
              She had imagined, for so long, that the moment he asked her about going on a request she would had been overly excited. But… when it actually finally happened… she had just stared up at him with her mouth hanging open. “Gray…. You want… Juvia?” She had managed to spit out.
              This all seemed so foreign now, without any other members in their guild—maybe that was why she was so on edge. Her heart was hammering in her chest. Gray was setting up his tent. She had brought her own tent of course, and she had been trying to set it up for some time, but she was far too distracted.
              “Juvia?” Gray was suddenly at her side, leaning over and lifting up the edge of her tent. “Do you need help?”
              “Gray-sama?” Juvia said, her voice hoarse, unused. “Juvia wants to know why you picked her for this mission. Is there something you need water magic for or—”
              “Juvia, there is no job,” Gray whispered. Juvia’s eyes widened.
              “What?”
              “I… lied.” Gray said, his voice so soft, Juvia could barely hear it.
              “Wh-why?” Juvia gasped.
              “I just… Listen, I wanted to show you something. It was supposed to be a surprise.” He sighed, “But the clouds have gone and ruined it and…”
              “What are you talking about, Gray?” Juvia frowned.
              “I wanted to surprise you,” he said, “With a view of the moon.”
              “The moon?”
              “Tonight was supposed to be the harvest moon,” he whispered, “but…”
              “The clouds,” Juvia frowned.
              “I wanted to show you. I wanted—”
              Juvia stood pulling Gray into her arms, and hugging him tightly. “Thank you, Gray-sama,” she breathed.
              “For what? The weather ruined everything.” He said, spite in his voice.
              “No,” Juvia breathed, “Juvia is just happy to be with you, Gray. No matter what the weather did.”
              They sat together, by a little fire, not really talking, just holding each other. Gray pressed a warm kiss to Juvia’s temple, and that’s when she noticed the clouds clearing.
              “Gray!” She smiled. “There’s the moon.” A big, bright, almost orange harvest moon.
              “The orange would have been more noticeable at the horizon,” Gray sighed.
              Juvia glanced up at him. She could see in the light of the moon that he was blushing. She leaned over and pressed a soft kiss to the corner of his lips. He was wrong. Even though things didn’t quite go his way, the full moon now made everything feel more magical. It was perfect, and she wished the moment could last forever.

Can’t Argue with That
@thewritingstar Starsobafictober Haunted Prompt
@lost-echo1 ‘s Nalu idea, lemme see what I can do lol, a bit rushed but I think it’s the idea you talked about :)
“I see you two are still not talking?” Mira questions the celestial mage, as she gingerly wipes at the counter.  “Want an easy mission to get away for now?”
“Yes,” Lucy sighs, propping her head.  “Maybe if he thinks I’m doing fine without him, he’ll realize how important I am to him.”
Mira shrugs, “here you go,” she hands Lucy a flier.  “I was gonna post it on the board, but seems like you could use it.”
“Thanks Mira!” Lucy grabs the paper.  As she walks past Natsu, where he sits at a table with Gray and Erza, she completely turns a cold shoulder to him.
“Wow,” Erza remarks, glancing at Mira as she says it, “Lucy is really pissed with you Natsu.”
“Tell me about it,” he rolls his eyes.  “All I said was I think I should go with her on missions and she thought I was saying she wasn’t good enough to do them on her own, which is not what I was trying to say at all.  Ugh!  But now she won’t even talk to me, even locks her window so I can’t get in.”
“You’re an idiot Natsu,” Gray jabs. “What’s the big deal anyways with her going on her own, she’s strong enough.”
Natsu pouts, “I just figured she likes my company,” he mumbles, “I like her company.  Isn’t it better going together.”
“See now if you had said it like that she probably wouldn't have gotten mad.”  Erza passes Natsu a flyer, “I was gonna do this cause it’s an easy one.  Why don’t you go by yourself to stay busy.  Let Lucy cool off in the meantime.”
He reads off of the paper.  “Suspicious activity at abandoned mansion.  Local authorities need it investigated.”  “Seems easy enough, probably nothing even there.”
“See, easy mission, now get going.” Erza shoo’s him away.
~~~
As Lucy walks up to the abandoned mansion, she wondered what was the point of even being there.  It looked like any old dilapidated building.  There were no sounds coming from it, and it gave off no magical signatures.  But, according to the locals in the town, anyone who’s tried to do anything with it has left terrified.  They want it gone.  Supposedly 50 years ago, two old wizards used to lived in the house and now the locals think they are haunting the place.  She didn’t really believe the stories, and besides, she’s dealt with the worst of evil wizards, how hard could a couple of ghosts be?
First things first, Lucy does a check around the property before venturing inside.  As expected, the inside was a dusty, musty, barren structure.  “Nothing lives here but spiders and bugs,” she remarks to the emptiness.  Well, until she figures out what to do with the place, the first step was settling in for the night.  Lucy finds a semi decent room near what used to be a kitchen that at least had no broken windows and would stay warmer in the evening.
Meanwhile, at the front of the house, Lucy doesn’t hear someone entering the front door.  There sure didn’t seem to be anything suspicious like the flyer mentioned, Natsu thinks to himself.  Maybe in the morning he’ll ask the townsfolk about the place.  As he steps into the old structure, he immediately picks up on a familiar scent.  Why was Lucy at the same job he was at?!
Natsu follows it, running through the house, forgetting all about the fact she was still mad at him.  He skids to a halt in the doorframe of the room.  “Lucy!” His eyes are bright and wildly excited.  “You’re here too!”
She jumps up from where she’d been setting up a bedroll as he rushes up to her.  “Oh no, no. no!  This was supposed to be my own mission!”  She jabs at his chest.  “Did you follow me?!  I can’t believe it, you followed me didn’t you!  Thought I couldn’t handle some measly job on my own!”
He steps back from her fury.  “B-But that’s not...”
“You told me I should bring you on all my missions, that we needed each other, and I told you that I can handle myself just fine alone!”
“Lucy please just let me explain!” he holds up his hands, “that's not what I meant, I never thought you weren’t strong enough to do this!”
Their shouting grew progressively louder, ricochetting off the barren walls.  One would think that the old wood might absorb some of the noise, but with nothing else to buffer, it was like being in a surround sound chamber.  Frankly, if there had been anything to pick up and throw, Lucy might have been tempted to.
“Oh really,” she scoffs and crosses her arms, “next you’re gonna tell me Mira just happened to give you the same mission as me as a coincidence.”
“First off, I don't know what a coincidence is, second, not Mira, Erza gave this to me.  Thirdly, I think you should need me!”
“I knew it!  See, why do you think I need you?!  Natsu just...”
Just as Lucy was about to launch into a higher octave tirade, loud banging sounds began to drum against the walls around them.  Louder and louder they became, moving and shifting, walls, ceiling.  The windows rattled as if howling winds battered against them.  Upstairs, shifting pieces of discarded furniture scraped across the floor.  Doors slammed randomly.
Lucy forgot all the anger in her body and rushed into Natsu’s arms, where he quickly wraps her up.  “Wh-what the hell is going on,” he asks.
“They think the place is haunted,” she buries her face in his chest, “I didn’t believe it.”  Okay so fine, give her an evil mage she can see and fight and no problem.  Not being able to see what the hell was scaring them sucked!  All the hairs on her body were standing on edge!
“Hey,” he cradles the back of her head, “don’t be afraid Luce, we’re gonna get through this together I promise.”
“Guess you were right,” she sniffles, “maybe I do need you.”
“No, Lucy,” he lifts her chin just enough to get her to look at him.  “You don’t need me because you’re weak.”  He leans his forehead to hers, “I just meant I thought you’d want me around on missions.  I prefer having you with me on missions.  It’s always better when we’re together then when we’re alone.”
“That’s true...”
“Oh for peat sakes, just kiss the damn girl already!”
Natsu and Lucy stiffen, who the hell just spoke to them!  He keeps her gripped tightly around the waist, but they both start looking around them to see where the voice had come from.  Noises still abound but are starting to die away.  Lucy still felt no magic in the home except for them, and Natsu smelled no humans or even creatures.
“Show yourselves!” Natsu shouts at the unseen entities, furious that they’d scare Lucy like they had.
“You disturbed our peace, so you get out, this is our house!” the voice retorts.
Feeling Natsu ready to snap, Lucy places her hand on his chest, effectively stilling him.  “Why are you still here,” she asks the entities.  “Why stay stuck in this house?”
“Why leave?” a different voice retorts.  “This is where we are comfortable.”  it scoffs, shaking the walls again.  “you kids, who are too stupid to see what is in front of you, who are you to give us advice?”
Lucy’s mouth clamps shut for a moment.  How could she argue with its comment?  She turns to Natsu, who unsurprisingly had a look of confusion on his face.  It makes her chuckles inwardly, of course he didn’t pick up on what the ghost was insinuating about them.  Lucy starts to speak, but Natsu starts does instead.
“Oi, mister ghost.  I see exactly what’s in front of me.  I got my girl here, yeah we sometimes fight but I still love her, and I know I’ll always love her.  I aint afraid to go where I need to like you, mister scaredy ghost haunting this house.”
First off, Lucy was flustered by what Natsu just said, but secondly, “um,” she mumbles, “Natsu I don’t think it’s a good idea to piss off the ghost.”
“It called us stupid, if it had a body, I’d be kicking its ass for saying that!”
She rolls her eyes, typical Natsu.  “I think what my friend is trying to say is, you shouldn’t be afraid of leaving here and moving on.  Let your energy return to the world.  As for us well,” Lucy looks up at Natsu who just grins, “he’s right,” she smiles too, “we do know what we have, even if we sometimes forget.”
As Lucy and Natsu stare into each other’s eyes, the ghosts never respond to what she said, but maybe they heard her loud and clear.  Around them, the house settles and grows silent, returning back to the old structure it was.  No more doors closing, or windows shaking, nor items being moved.  In fact, the air grows even more stagnant than when they’d first arrived.
“I think they’re really gone now,” she whispers, her thoughts returning to what Natsu had said earlier.  “Did you tell them you loved me just to shut them up?”
“What?” Natsu tilts his head confused, “why would I do that?  It accused us of not seeing what was in front of us, so I told ‘em exactly what I saw in front of me.”
Lucy blinks, “that means, you were telling the truth about loving me?!”
“Duh!” He chuckles, and squeezes her hand.  “Luce maybe you should get some rest, usually you’re quicker’n me at understanding stuff.”
“I...” Lucy wants to get mad, but breaks out laughing instead.  “That’s a good idea.”  He said the words, he meant them, that was good enough for her.  “We’ll deal with the reward in the morning...”  She takes a step away, letting their hands drift apart, but turns back right before their finger tips part.  “and by the way, I love you too Natsu.”
Inuyasha  x Kagome
I’m writing this for @thewritingstar and @sobatsu Fictober prompt, Day one: Candy.
Rating: Teen
Kagome hummed happily as she twisted a chocolate from its wrapper and popped it into her mouth. The sweet taste and creamy texture made her smile.
“What is that?” Inuyasha asked from his position on the other side of their campfire.
“Candy,” Kagome replied as she searched through her bag for another one.
Inuyasha’s ears twitch with curiosity as he watched the young woman pull out two more of the strangely wrapped things. “What in the world is candy?” he scoffed.
“Just little pieces of heaven,” Kagome replied as she unwrapped another candy and ate it.
“If it is so great than why don’t you share?” he growled.
“No way, you already went through my bag and ate most of my food!” Kagome pointed a finger at him with a scowl. “I’m gonna enjoy these.” She unwrapped the last candy.
Inuyasha jumped over the fire and landed beside her. “That isn’t fair! Come on hand it over!” He held out a clawed hand.
“Nope!” Kagome leaned away as she popped the last chocolate in her mouth. “Besides, chocolate is bad for dogs!” she said closing her eyes with a smirk.
With a growl Inuyasha lunged forward and grabbed the back of Kagome’s head. Before she even realized what happened his mouth was on hers. Her eyes flew open as she gasped in surprise and his tongue slipped into her mouth and moved along her own. His fangs pricked against her lips and caused her to moan and close her eyes again. She had just started working her tongue against his when he pulled away.
“W-wait… why?” Kagome started to say as her eyes fluttered open. All she saw was a smirking demon sitting in front of her triumphantly with her candy between his teeth. Her fist clenched as he closed his mouth and slowly chewed his trophy.
“Your brain must be busted. This tastes alright but I wouldn’t call it heaven,” Inuyasha scoffed as he swallowed the candy. He looked over to see a livid Kagome glaring at him. “What?”
“SIT BOY!!”
Fictober Prompt Day 5: Ghost (Edwin)
Here is my prompt for Starsoba's fictober day 5. I went with Edwin. Also I'd like to give a shout out to my love @geekygruvialover01 for helping me come up with names for their kids. Thank you Dear. Hope you enjoy the story.
Edward POV:
It was October and I was watching my son Dominic jump into piles of leaves laughing and enjoying the crisp weather. All of sudden that was interrupted by a shrill scream. "Daddy!!!!! Wahhh!!!" My daughter Sarah runs into my arms sobbing. I scoop her into my lap and soothe her. When her tears subside I finally talk to her. "What's wrong Sweetie?" Winry comes out to also see what the problem was. "I-i saw a ghost Daddy. She said she knew you. Then she turned into a scawy monster and I ran away." She starts crying again. I calm her again. I wonder who my daughter could have seen or if this was just a overactive imagination. Winry and I exchange concerned glances. Sarah hasn't ever lied so maybe she really did see something.
"Ahhhh! Mommy! Daddy!" Dominic screams and flings himself into Winry's arms. He looks shaken and scared. "A scary ghost was right over there!" He points a shaking finger toward the yard where he was playing. "Sweetie, there is nothing over there. Your safe, Dear." Winry soothes. She smoothes his hair back and looks over at me worried. "What did the ghost look like to you Sarah?" I asked my daughter. She sniffles and wipes her eyes and thinks back for a minute before answering me.
"She looked about my age with brown bwaids and blue eyes and then she looked like some kind of scawy dog monster. She told me her name was Nina."  As soon as she said that my heart stopped for a moment and my eyes widen. Nina Tucker? What could she possibly doing around here? We had at one point considered naming Sarah after her but Winry wanted to name our daughter after her mother and I wanted her to be happy so I agreed. The guilt I felt at not being able to save her wells up all over again.
I'm snapped out if it by my wife's comforting  hand on my shoulder. I smile weakly up at her. "Dominic, was your ghost the same girl?" I asked him. He nods a yes. I wonder why Nina is here and why now? Why not before? "Well, I guess I should tell you both about Nina then. I was really hoping to wait till you were older." I sigh resigned. I tell them of when their Uncle Al and I met Nina and spent time with her and the rest of the Tucker family. We were all crying at the end of the story. I wiped my eyes and told them that it was best to remember the good times and not the sad ones and that I would always protect them from people like Shao Tucker.
Suddenly My wife lets out a gasp. I look up and my eyes widen. Nina is standing there though she's kinda transparent. "N-nina?" I stutter and tear up. She smiles sadly at me. "Don't worry Big Brother. I don't blame you for what happened. I know you would have saved me. I just wanted to thank you for caring for me and stop feeling guilty about what happened to me. Be happy and remember me. I love you."  She disappears after speaking those words to me. I start sobbing, it still hurts that I couldn't save her. I feel  two pairs of small arms hugging me. I look down and my children are hugging me."Don't cwy Daddy!" My daughter says trying to cheer me up. Winry hugs me from behind and kisses my cheek. "She wants you to be happy Dear." She tells me softly.
I wipe my tears and we take the kids inside and spend the evening telling funny stories of our adventures till they go to bed. After we tuck them in we go to our room. Windy wraps her arms around me and makes me look at her. "Are you alright, Ed?" she asks me.  "I'm fine. It was just a shock to my system" I tell her.  I sigh and try to snap out of it. She makes me look at her. "I'm so proud of you and so are the kids. Don't worry, you did the right thing." She leans in and kisses me. I close my eyes and enjoy the kiss. I never believed in ghost till that day but all ghosts aren't a bad thing. Sometimes they can bring you closure from the past.
HI! I wanted to partecipate in the starsoba too so here I am...late...BUT I WAS STUDYING ‘CAUSE I HAD AN EXAM, PLEASE DON’T HATE ME!
Rating: T
WARNING FOR VIOLENCE AND BLOOD
_______________________________________________________________
It was cold outside. The freezing breeze caressed her battered skin, making her body shiver. It was dark, no lights around, she could only rely on her eyes, which were unfocused.
She was in a narrow alley. It was so silent, her heavy breathing and the incessant thumping of her heart in her ears were the only things she could hear.
Steps.
She heard steps, they were near, they were coming to get her. She needed to run, but she was so tired, her body was heavy and sitting near the dumpster wasn’t so bad.
Other steps. They were from more than one person.
Her eyes widened, panic swirling in those brown orbs. She moved a lock of hair behind her ear. Her usually bright golden hair was now grime, blood and dirt smearing her tresses.
Murmurs and laughs.
The group was so close, she needed to escape. She needed to run. She pushed with her feet and her hands to sit, heavy breaths left her split lips; with another push she stood up and she started running. Her muscles screamed, she felt as her body was aflame: every step was a torture, but she needed to go.
She pushed forward, moving as fast as she can; she could hear voices and steps.
The groups was chasing her, if she didn’t escape she’ll die.
The darkness of the alley was too much, she risked falling more than once. “How long is this fucking thing?” she swore in her head. She didn’t know how long she ran, it could have been seconds or minutes. She was so tired. She wanted to stop, to sleep, but she couldn’t give up.
She kept going, she kept running, she kept hoping.
Laughs and calls reached her. They were toying with her. They knew she was scared and this excited them even more. She heard whistles.
“Lucyyyy, babyyyy, come here! We want to play with you, don’t you want to have fun?” a rough voice asked, a teasing note in his voice.
She risked a glance behind her and she saw them. Five men were after her, she couldn’t see who they were but she saw the excited glint in their eyes. They were having fun, she was giving them the thrilling of the hunt.
She was a toy.
She gagged, the horrifying truth was too much to bear; she stopped to puke but nothing came out, her stomach completely empty. She clutched her waist with her arms trying to give herself some comfort, she was trapped. It was her ending point, now was the time to give up. Her knees collapsed under the heavy situation she was in, she hit the ground while tears already started running along her bloody cheeks.
Maybe, if she didn’t run they won’t find her interesting.
Maybe they’ll let her live.
Maybe.
She scrubbed her eyes with her scratched hands. She couldn’t wait for the ending. She’d fight, she wasn’t going to give up. Not now, not ever. She stood up again, her muscles screaming again for the fatigue; she started running again and for the first time she saw a light at the end of the tunnel. Literally. There was a light at the end of the long alley.
Just some more and she could reach it. She was hearing the noise of the city. She was safe, she could ask help. Just some more. She could do it.
Suddenly a cold metal entered her back, a sudden pain erupted in the kidneys area. She fell, the pain was too much. She vomited again, this time a dark thing escaped her lips. Lucy tried to clean her mouth with the back of her hand, blood was now covering it.
She vomited blood, her blood, what was going on? She tried to stand up but someone kicked her head, her mind now fuzzy and unfocused. She was lying on the ground, her left hand contracted. She wanted to lift her body, maybe she could still do it, maybe she could still be safe.
“Hi baby, did you miss us?” the same voice from before asked. She felt his rough hand caressing her back until it found the handle of the blade and pushed. Lucy screamed.
They were toying with her.
She felt him extract the knife, at this rate she was going to die out of exsanguination. Another pair of hands turned her, she tried to fight it but she was so tired. She just wanted to sleep.
An hot liquid mixed with some coldness caressed her chest. He was caressing her with the blade. He was dirtying her with her blood.
“You’re going to scream so much” the rough voice said, excitement present in his tone.
He ripped her shirt and with a fluid movement he stabbed her again, and again, and again…
She screamed. She found herself in a sitting position, sweat dumping her creamy skin, her bangs sticking to her forehead. Lucy looked around, trying to focus her eyes on the surroundings: she was in her bedroom, a soft fabric grazing her naked thighs. She got rid off the blankets, inspecting herself. No wounds, no cuts, no blood. “W-what happened?” she asked herself.
A warm hand touched her shoulder and she screamed, falling off the bed.
“Luce! Lucy, it’s me! It’s Natsu! Lucy?”
Suddenly, a mass of pink spiky hair occupied her vision. The face of the boy was tense, worry swirling in his green eyes. He offered her an hand that she accepted, still trembling from the sudden touch.
“I-I think I had a nightmare…” she trailed off, silent tears now streaming down her cheeks. He hugged her, trying to reassure her. He wanted to assure her that she was safe now. He was there with her.
“What happened Lucy? You kept screaming, I was so worried, I couldn’t wake you up…” he said caressing her cheek, cleaning it from her tears.
“I-I was chased by some men...they were hunting me down...I was just a toy...I thought I could do it, that I could be safe...b-but…” she trailed off again, her sobs louder than before. She clutched Natsu’s shoulder, having him there as an anchor was what she needed. She was still scared, memories of the nightmare flashing through her mind; the laughs of the men still ringing in her ears.
“Luce, don’t worry, I’m here now, I’m not letting anyone hurt you!” he said with confidence, he tightened his arms around her.
She eventually calmed down, Natsu’s warmth and caresses let her know she was home.
She was safe, she did it, she found help.
Silence
@thewritingstar Starsobafictober
Nalu ficlet. 😈
The heat index rose slowly in the small apartment and none of it had to do with his magic. Sure felt like the height of summer, except it was the dead of winter. No, maybe more like a sauna being fueled by the hottest volcano. Natsu gulps hard. Scratch that, make it the surface of the sun. He stares forward with the intensity of a predator stalking its prey, and yet the beads of sweat slowly dripping down his forehead give away his appreciation. With his brows furrowed and lips pursed, he dares to lean forward, resting his arms on the table top.
For her part, Lucy was determined not to budge an inch. Seconds tick by, turned minutes, with tensions growing like a weighted surge of water threatening to pull you under its tow. She leans forward as the slayer does, resting her arms and propping her head up with hand, eyes lowered, grinning over the stalemate.
Even Happy looks on from a safe distance across the room, eyes flitting back and forth between his two friends. An eerie sense of dead air rests between them, and he had no idea how this was going to end. He wanted to side with his buddy Natsu, but feared suffering the wrath of Lucy. He was almost ready to brave the blustery swirls of white outside to get away from this mounting situation.
You could have heard a butterflies wing beat, the room was so quiet.
Natsu looks down at the table, but keeps his head leveled with Lucy’s, and ears sharp for any sudden change. This wasn’t good, not good at all. He swallows through a parched throat, and licks his cracked, drying lips in a desperate attempt to bring them relief. It pulls Lucy’s attention to his actions, but only for a brief moment before she’s focused on him again. He was done for, as she knew it.
“Make your move,” she snickers quietly, breaking the silence, like a deafening gale of a winters storm. This game meant to be a fun distraction during a blizzards snow-in, turned into a death match thanks to his competitiveness.
It was all his fault for putting himself in this situation, and Natsu hated admitting defeat, but it was the obvious conclusion at this point. Slowly he moves his game piece, hesitating, before finally setting it down.
Lucy grins and makes her move. “I win, now off with it,” she points at the last remaining piece of clothing on his body...
Nalu ficlet. Starsobafictober Day 1 prompt candy
As Lucy sat on her front porch handing out candy to all the trick or treating children, she wondered what was taking her boyfriend Natsu so long to get there. He’d promised to keep her company tonight, she’d even dressed up in a cute, but sexy, little witches costume just for him. ‘Figures,’ she sighes, yet smiles at all the eager and grabby little hands.
Most of the trick or treater’s were young with a mix of teens and maybe older as the night wore on, coming by for free hand outs of candy. She and her friends used to do the same, but now she was just too lazy to walk around when she could just buy what she wanted. Eventually the crowds thin, a good thing, she yawns, ready to strip off this costume and jump in the shower. If Natsu wasn’t gonna show up, Lucy’ll just turn it in for the evening since she worked the next morning.
“Trick or treat!”
She looks at the tall man in front of her. “Aren’t you a little old to be doing this?” Lucy questions. Looking him up and down, this guy was no teen, but obviously an adult and dressed in a ridiculous... She palms her face, “Natsu, really? This is why you didn’t show up tonight?!”
“Aww!” He peels off the Charizard mask, “but it’s free candy Luce! I can’t pass up free!” Natsu pouts for effect.
“Why do I even bother,” she mutters.
“I’ll share,” he turns on the puppy eyes, holding his pumpkin shaped bucket up to her.
Lucy groans, too much of a sap to not fall for her boyfriends silly charms. “Get in here,” she opens her front door and prompts him inside. “But I expect more than candy to make up for your tardiness...”
Inukag ficlet Starsobafictober prompt blood/full moon @thewritingstar
It was a rare occurrence, and one that Inuyasha had hoped to never encounter in his life time. But it had been inevitable that a blood moon would come to pass now that he had reached a certain maturity. Truth be told he really didn’t know what to expect. The one person who might have been able to explain it had long since left this world.
Miyoga made it sound like he’d turn into some kind of raging beast, unable to control his mind during the duration of the blood moons passing. Though the flea yokai also admitted that was just a guess. Inuyasha wanted to squish the pesky old flea just for making him panic. He had responsibilities now, as a husband and protector. He couldn’t be going around and destroying things!
As a precaution Inuyasha warned Kagome to be on alert just in case.
“If I seem in any way out the ordinary, stop me, purify me, whatever you have to do.”
Kagome didn’t really believe him, or at least didn’t react as if it worried her. “I’ve dealt with you when you went full yokai. I think I can handle anything you throw at me.”
She was probably right. But as he huddled in their hut watching the dying embers of the day shifting into an inky darkness, Inuyasha couldn’t help but worry. His wife went about a normal routine, preparing them dinner, completely unawares of his rising anxieties.
Something felt off alright.
The red glow filtering in through the un-thatched window sent a chill through Inuyasha’s whole body. Similar and yet wildly different than on his New Moon night. He held out his hands, draping them though the light. Nothing physically was transforming... his mind was still very much intact... but a sweeping new urge licked at a deeper, primal, area of his soul.
Inuyasha glances over to Kagome who had changed from her miko day-attire to a sleeping yukata. It was loosely draped to expose her shoulders to the warm early autumn humidity. While her back was turned to him, he could already picture in his minds eye the low cut V it probably created in the front, exposing the tops of her supple bosoms or guided valley to an ever better destination. He cranes his neck towards the ceiling, taking in the scent of her. It was over powering tonight! Of all the nights for her hit peak ovulation.
Not good! He clenches his fists and jaw tightens along with other areas of his loins. Blood panged urges swirl through his body, not for destruction but another kind of wanton carnage. Inuyasha’s demon wanted to devour Kagome inside and out, marking her, re-staking his claim in such a manner that no one would dare look at her with desire again; except him. Plant the seed! It demanded of him.
Kamisama! If he didn’t get ahold of himself, his poor wife would pay the price of not walking for a week! Inuyasha closes his eyes, trying desperately to focus inward and gain control of the mounting desire. To shuttle his yokai back into remission. But it was all in vain. The blood moons magnifying effects were too strong.
His feet take swift action in carrying him towards her. “Kagome...” and in a deep, rumbling voice hovering just above her ear, his hands reach around to undo the belt of her robe. “I hope you can handle this...”
She smirks. Blood red...
Fictober 20: Kyoru-Sweater
This little drabble is dedicated to my friend @mautrino I love you, friendship! I’m sorry it’s so hecking short. D: You deserve a million kyoru fics! <3
Kyoru: Sweater
              “Kyo!” Tohru dashed after her boyfriend, reaching out—practically tumbling down the stairs—to catch his hand in hers. It was a chilly autumn day outside, and as they left the building together the wind swept through Tohru’s hair, making her shiver and lean closer to Kyo, clasping his hand tighter. Kyo didn’t say anything but she saw the blush rise in his cheeks. Sometimes their walks home were like this—quiet, peaceful. They would enjoy each other’s company quietly. Tohru liked those days, because she could always tell what Kyo was thinking by the way he held her hand. If it was loose, he was feeling comfortable, happy, a little more carefree than usual. If it was tight he was nervous, anxious—and she would say something.
              “Kyo? You know I love you. Right?” He was always surprised out of his deep thoughts with the sound of her voice. And then his face would turn a deep shade of red, and he would splutter out some sort of response—almost like he was angry, but his hand never left hers.
              Today his hand was loose. He was happy. He walked quickly, and Tohru had to quicken her pace to keep up with his long legs. “Kyo!” She gasped, still holding to his hand, fingers entwined. “You’re in a hurry today.” Another freezing breeze. She shivered. This time, Kyo felt it. He turned around, skidding to a halt. Tohru almost crashed right into him. “Kyo!”
              “Are you cold?!” He demanded as if he was irked. But she could see the worry in his eyes.
              “N-no!” She shivered a little, “I can make it home! It’s fine—”
              “You’ll get sick,” he said with an exasperated sigh. “Didn’t anyone tell you, you should wear a sweater on days like this?”
              “Oh, no! I’ll be alright!” Tohru said, offering him a smile. “We’re almost home, Kyo—”
              “Here,” he huffed, yanking his own sweater off and gently pulling it over her head. She let out a squeak of surprise. “Put your arms in there.” He said. “So you don’t catch a cold.” His face was flushed, and his voice was soft—gentle. She smiled, slipping her arms into the arms of his sweater. It was too big for her but it was warm. She reached out to grasp his hand with both of hers.
              “Thank you!” She beamed, and leaned forward to press a chaste kiss to his cheek. Kyo’s cheeks flushed a deep shade of scarlet.
              “Ah, let’s just go home,” he huffed, turning to march down the familiar path, but he didn’t let go of Tohru’s hand. He held it loosely, and it made her feel warm.
Hakyona ficlet. Starsobafictober day 5 prompt ghosts @thewritingstar
You’d think Yona would be excited for the following day, and she was, of course she was excited to finally marry Hak. It could have been as a Princess or peasant and she would gladly vow to be his wife. Then why were her nerves betraying her like this? Maybe because it could never be like a traditional ceremony, with her father and mother there to bless the union, and welcome her chosen husband.
Deep down she was sure her mother would have approved and speculation was her father already intend it to be. But still, just to have them there, physically, to share in her joys and happy tears would have meant so much to her.
She sits down on her patio walk, just looking out over the small garden of blossoms. The moon’s light gave the whiter flowers a gorgeous glow. So, fragile, yet magnificent to behold. Hak sometimes likened her to a flower. Delicate, beautiful, and strongest while in full bloom. Yona thought it was amusing, but sweet nonetheless.
The pangs of jitters were only surpassed by the nagging emptiness her parents absence created. Yona wraps her arms around her body, resting her chin on her knees. She really missed them. So very, very much. With her eyes closed, Yona wished for something, anything to tell her it was going to be okay. Maybe she should go find Hak, he always made her feel better.
A slight breeze passes through the garden, rustling the leaves and causing Yona to pull her shawl closer. A light scent accompanies the wind. Odd. Sandalwood? That was only used in high-order ceremonies. And... Chicken porridge?? Yona’s eyes pop open, she swore she could smell her favorite comfort food!
In that moment, a gentle weight falls upon her shoulder, instantly calming her of all the anxieties that plagued her. This warmth swept through her entire body until no more fears were left. Unbeholdened tears trickle down her cheeks, and she wipes them away with a smile. She got the message loud and clear.
“Thank you father...” Yona whispers to the wind. “Say hi to mom for me.” Everything would be okay now.
Bakudeku angsty but funny Drabble.  Starsobafictober Death prompt.  @thewritingstar
He never feared for his own death.  Rather, he scoffed in the face of anyone that tried to hasten him to the grave.  It was part of the job as a hero, you win some, you lose some.  No matter if you were at the top of the pack or some low-key sidekick.  Look at Jeans.  He was shocked to find out his old intern boss had been killed, the guy was number 3 for crying out loud!
Each time the odds were stacked against him, he never flinched.  Death in the line of duty would be an honor as far as he was concerned.  Of course, he would go down kicking and screaming, damn straight he'd take some of the villains down with him!  But the grim reaper himself, could kiss his ass.
Fear was not an option.
That is, until it wasn’t he who fell in the line of fire.  All this time, Katsuki had told himself, it wouldn’t matter if someone he knew died fighting against a villain.  Giving their life to save others was the epitome of a hero!  It wasn’t supposed to affect him.  He never thought he’d mourn or feel the creeping anxieties of fear paralyzing his mind.
But it wasn’t supposed to be Deku either.  They were supposed to be rivals fighting through the ranks!  He was supposed to beat that damn nerd fair and square and become number 1 some day!  And how dare that goofy fucking dork make him look bad, jumping in between him and the villain like that!  How many times has he done that goddamn it!  Stupid self-less bastard!
“You son-of-a,” Katuski bites his knuckle, stifling the scream bubbling in his throat.  If he threw another tantrum, the hospital was going to kick him out and he needed to be there the moment Deku opened his eyes.
No one knew if the man would survive.  Deku’s body was broken, and because of possible brain damage, the doctors had induced a coma.  “Fuck!”  For two weeks, Katsuki had maintained a bedside vigil, rarely leaving, and only if someone agreed to stay put while he was gone.
There wasn’t supposed to be tears shed!  Not for Deku, not like this!  Yet here he was, like an unrequited lover waiting for their beloved to return again.  No one dared to question Katsuki’s seeming turn of behavior.  They’d all thought he hated Deku when in reality...
“I wanna hear you say Kaachan again...”  Katsuki hangs his head to hide the falling tears.  “I wanna hear that annoying ass voice.  I want you to follow me around like a lost fucking puppy!  I need y...” his throat seizes up unable to continue.  He grabs Midoriya’s hand, squeezing tightly, and gritting out the words.  “You better hear me in there nerd.  You fucking fight this!  If you let death win I swear to All Might I will fucking come after you in hell!!”
Kiribaku ficlet Starsobafictober day 2 pumpkin prompt @thewritingstar
Katsuki saunters through the pumpkin patch with his thumbs jammed into his pockets just watching all his goof ball classmates making fools of themselves. They were just supposed to pick a few pumpkins to decorate the dorms with, but no, look at them, he sneers. They’re playing like a bunch of elementary-aged kids in a sandbox. How hard is it to pick pumpkins!
And those saps, he snickers at the guys that were catering to the girls, helping them carry pumpkins because they feigned it was too heavy. Seriously? Uraraka could make them float! So pathetic! He’d never be one of those guys.
“B!”
He turns to the voice and sees Kirishima waving at him.
“Hey, Bakugou!”
The man waves again, signaling him to come closer. Tch, what was he a dog? Sorry, this guy doesn’t just heel when called. Till he sees the pouty, puppy dog expression on the red-heads face, sending his stomach into flutters, and heart skipping as all the blood rushes to tint his cheeks. Fucking damn it!
Fictober Day 7: Witch and Wizard
I did a big dumb and had this all written up on Sunday but forgot to post it yesterday. Good job, Kae. Anyways. Story: I took one look at “witch and wizard” and thought oooh D&D. So yeah. Does this have anything to do with witches and wizards? ....no.
I consider this the beginning of the Adventures of the EZ D&D party.
Definitely inspired by things we’ve talked about on the EZ server. XD
Weicca: Characters
and Wizard: Weicca
              “Is that what you decided on?” Rebecca said, glancing over Weisz’s character sheet. “I thought you wanted to be a wizard or something?”
              “Hey, bards can do magic!” Weisz said, almost offended. “See, look?” He flipped to the spell sheet, pointing at the few spells he had on the list.
              “I know bards can do magic,” Rebecca frowned, scanning the short list. “Vicious Mockery? Really?”
              Weisz smirked. “Sounds great, right?”
              “Okay, fine, whatever,” she passed his sheet back to him, picking up her pencil, “What’s your name?”
              Weisz grinned, eyes suddenly wide with delight. Oh no. “My name,” he said, taking on a ridiculous accent, “Is Finch Assdale.” He snickered.
              “I told you to pick a name from the book,” Rebecca frowned.
              “I did.” Weisz pointed to the open page in the name book.
              “That says Grassdale!” Rebecca groaned.
              “The G and the R are silent.”
              “Of course,” Rebecca groaned. She loved Weisz, but sometimes he was an absolute dork.
              “And you?” She glanced over at Shiki. “I am… A NINJA OF THE NIGHT!” He swung his arms around and then froze in a pose, dropping his voice to a whisper, “RapidShadow!”
              “Actually,” Rebecca scanned his character sheet, “You’re a monk and… you’re a goliath?”
              “Yeah, he’s super strong.”
              “But you’re a thief!” Rebecca said, glancing at Shiki’s 20 in Strength. “Shouldn’t you be focused more on dexterity—?”
              “I am done,” Homura said simply across the table, setting down her sheets.
              “You named your character after yourself?” Rebecca frowned.
              “She is me.” Homura replied. Rebecca blinked, and then shook her head. “Lets just play. We need to get into character. I am Ariella Windsong! She’s a high elf ranger! We know Shiki’s character—”
              “RAPIDSHADOW—Goliath and thief!” Shiki swung his arms into a pose again.
              “Weisz…?” Rebecca sighed.
              Weisz snickered again, “Finch Assdale. Hill Dwarf. Bard.”
              Homura blinked, “I am Homura. A human warrior—”
              “Paladin,” Rebecca muttered.
              “And I think Finch Assdale is suspicious. But I won’t say that aloud.”
              “But you just did!” Weisz snapped, then he composed himself. “What is there not to trust about Finch Assdale. Performing extraordinaire.”
              Rebecca snorted. “I’d like to see you perform.”
              “Shiki!” Weisz jabbed his thumb at their friend. “Beat.”
              “What?” Shiki frowned. But Weisz was already swinging his arms in a weird dance. Rebecca was just glad he hadn’t jumped up on the table.
              “Uhhh… Sunshine? What in the cosmos are you doing?”
              “Interpretive dance.”
              Rebecca dropped her head in her hands with a groan. “I can already tell, Ariella Windsong is going to be the only one keeping this party together.”
              “Hey! Are we gonna go kill dragons or something?! Or go to dungeons?” Shiki asked.
Weisz stopped “dancing” or whatever he was doing, and glanced over at Rebecca, “Yes! I, Finch Assdale, agree! Lets get started on our adventure!” Then he offered Rebecca a mischievous smirk, “Mayhaps,” Weisz grinned, half bowing, “Afterwards, M’lady would like to retire to our bed chamber.”
              Rebecca scoffed, “No way in hell would Ariella be caught dead with someone like Finch Assdale. She’s probably more likely to get together with Naruto here.” She jabbed her thumb towards Shiki.
              “Hey! My name is RapidShadow!” Shiki gasped. Weisz narrowed his eyes at Shiki and then set his character sheet down on the table.
              “I’d like to create a new character.”
              “Not a chance, lover-boy,” Rebecca grinned. “You’re stuck with Finch Assdale. Maybe you should’ve been more serious when you made your character.”
              Weisz pouted, but his cheeks flushed. Rebecca felt warm inside as she leaned across the table, tapping his nose. “It’s okay, soft man,” she smiled, “Finch Assdale may not get Ariella Windsong, but Weisz gets Rebecca right?”
              “I’m not soft,” he scoffed, crossing his arms as she sat back down. He was trying to act all tough, but Rebecca saw the twitching in his lips, and the flush of color in his cheeks. Yeah. You are.
