these two truly mean the world to me so i wanted to celebrate them<3 i was first properly introduced to ruby when juni walked into ruby practicing 'chandelier' (not the vity one) his little head exploding from the talent<3 it was that vid their nickname came from: honey voice and tongyeong honey bread! and they have been nothing but adorable since... ruby rly is hyeongjun's laugh button! he knows juni's exact humour and utilises that always<3 sending hyeongjun to the floor half of the time. he also plays along with juni's jokes extremely well and will commit to them to make juni happy. juni being ruby's lockscreen for literal years just gets to me... and atm he is begging for hyeongjun to send him a new pic to use and juni is refusing<3 bickery boys<3 they r such lil weirdos :( whenever rubys tension is high he's always with juni who calls him weird (as he should<3) but plays along so well :(

ruby is also junis cry button ㅠ despite already crying earlier, the second he saw ruby get emotional he was sobbing once again</3 also whenever he feels down or is fighting with someone, he naturally shares it with ruby and woobin understands him very well :( it is no surprise to anyone that food is how woobin shares his love and hyeongjun is so receptive :( he not only thanks him and compliments him but became his cooking student and is top of the class<3 in that vlog, ruby was frying and juni went and got chopsticks for ruby to flip the meat without ruby even asking ... he just knew :( juni in starships cafe drinking his peach ice tea and waiting for class the day before rubys bday, video calling him coz he missed him (ruby was not even in gwangju yet) and he was excited for ruby to go home :( and when juni goes home, his family send him back to seoul with homemade seasame oil and spices for ruby to use to feed the boys :( they also chose each other as final phone calls at the end of their lives... ruby still making him laugh even then, and making sure he's eaten...

they r just the best ever... they are so silly and so emotional and neither undermine the other<3 their friendship is so lovely :(

Part 1: Uncover

"Starship Entertainment announces their newest soloist: Iris" The company was buzzing with the news that one of their trainees was finally debuting, especially since she had been a trainee for a long time. The meeting room was filled with cookies and other baked goods as they waited for Iris to join them in the celebration.

"Who the hell is calling me again?"

Nari pushed her pillow off her head, her manicured hand moving around her white sheets as she felt around for her phone. She had stayed up late last night binging a new drama and drawing, so for someone to wake up her wasn't something she was fond of. She rolled onto her side as she gripped her phone, her free hand wiping her eyes as she looked at her manager's name flash across her phone screen before her lockscreen came back into view. She smiled at the picture of her two cats named Henry and Opal before groaning when her manager called her again. She had to hand it to her manager, she was a persistent woman.

"Yes, manager?" Nari's voice came out cracked and soft as she sat up in her bed, resting against the headboard as she waited to hear why her manager woke her up.

"You're still asleep, Nari? It's Wednesday, not the weekend." Nari couldn't help but roll her eyes at her manager's words, it reminding her of a mom. "I know, I just stayed up late. You understand, right?"

"No, Nari, I can't." Nari sighed as she put her phone on speaker, getting up from her bed to look through her closet for clothes to wear. She looked through her walk in closet as her manager continued to be a mom, telling her that she needed to be ready within the next hour or so. "Yes ma'am. I will be" Nari quickly hung up on her manager before returning to her closet, looking for a perfect outfit.

Nari had been a trainee since she was 18, fresh out of high school with nothing but a dream and her parents support. She auditioned at various companies while attending University for a degree in Graphic Design. She was constantly rushing from audition, to her part time job at the mall, then class. She barely even had a college experience because she was always focused on her dream. So when Starship offered her a deal, she was ecstatic and instantly joined.

She hoped she would debut within a few years, maybe 1 or 2 since she was confident in her vocal and dance abilities, but the company thought otherwise. 1 year turned into 3, then turned into 6, then 9. Just when she was about to quit her idol dream, they announced that they wanted to debut her: at 26 years old. They wanted to give her a mature/feminine concept but they wanted her to be the proper age for it. Nari knew it was bullshit, though; she watched her friends and other colleagues debut while she was always sent to back to the training room.

She had become a popular freelance graphic designer during her years of training, so she gave the company an ultimatum: either debut her this year or she walks. Nari thought knew that if she didn't force the company to make a choice, she would be the oldest trainee ever, not that she already was. Now that had announced to the world her stage name and a small introduction post, she knew that she was finally getting what she wanted all these years. But, she couldn't help but to be mad at Starship for taking so long, so she thought it wouldn't be bad to make them wait a bit for her.

"This will do" she tossed her clothes onto her bed before she walked to her bathroom, tying her hair up as she put on some music. It would be a long day and she needed to look her best and be in a good mood or it wouldn't go good.

And she was meeting with the staff, so it had to go good.

"There you are, Nari!"

Nari gave her manager a small smile before hugging her, choosing to ignore how passive aggressively tight the hug was. She knew her manager was probably annoyed with how late she was, but she knew that she would get over it. "Sorry, the cats needed breakfast and you know Henry won't eat unless Opal eats." Nari shot her manager a bright smile before entering the elevator, sighing as the doors closed. The cold elevator wall helped wake her up as she watched the numbers rise, taking her up to a meeting she wasn't looking forward to. After she had gave the ultimatum, she had thought that the company would just drop her- she was already in her late 20s which is past the prime idol debut age, and she had chose to stop attending her training sessions after a while.

Plus, she liked her freelance work, so if they did drop her, she would be fine with it. She had even made a plan to move back to Daegu and continue her work there while living in a nice home with her cats. But, it seemed like with her ultimatum, Starship realized what they had and pushed out the announcement.

Nari moved from the elevator wall as the doors opened, showing her to the meeting room that was full of baked goods and pink balloons with hearts and other cute animals. She liked the set up and found it cute, her lips forming a smile even before she thought about it. She stepped out of the elevator to the meeting room, breathing in the scent of the goods.

This was the start of something sweet.
