I've reached a fun personal milestone in followers which has me very excited so in celebration: send me some writing prompts in my askbox and I will write you a little something or do a simple art piece! i'll probably make this ongoing until well after the holidays so don't be shy!

-i'll write/draw for pretty much any pairing but i especially love byler, madwheeler, party polycule, byclair, joyce x karen, and stoncy. oh and lumax of course. <3

ahhhh hello friend sorry i have been mia i just got back from visiting family yesterday and am currently in the *checks diagram* eighth circle of mental hell :D i'm just being melodramatic lol. but also. send help

anyway, i am sending you all of my own undying love back (and is it cheating if i say your artwork for csol is my current byler fixation or 👉🏻👈🏻) ((but seriously, your art is so lovely i just wanna stare at it all day!!))

um but i guess on a personal mental/writing note, i have just been feeling lots of things, and it will probably inevitably work its way out into Something byler related. i get the feeling the final part of not strong enough to be your man will be fully written and done soon lol. and apart from that, idk!! lately the byler part of my brain has mainly been about trying to figure my own emotions out through writing them,,,i need to just start writing original fiction again so i can stop using these two as vessels for my own inner turmoil lol

anyway, now i have to ask: what're you fixating on lately with regarss to them 👀

day 4: friends and family

got a couple of recs today for the lovely byler fic rec week event!!

The Pact by @starsarefire824! this has been such a fun, interesting, and complex exploration of madwheeler that i’ve personally been really grateful for. i think a lot of times fanon can kind of become ingrained in the minds of a fandom to the point that in some areas, you don’t see a lot of exploration and divergence from what the common fan consensus is. i feel like the madwheeler dynamic is one that kind of suffers from this, but starsarefire’s exploration of them, specifically in a situation where both are bi and are trying to confess their feelings for other people, has been such a breath of fresh air. everything feels really plausible for the characters, plus it’s just been fun to read about Max and Mike trying to make things work out between them and the people they love and having it all go horribly wrong. like, yes, they’re miserable, but there is something inherently funny about Mike and Max being exiled from the party and only having each other to hang around. so, yeah, it’s got a fantastic plot, interesting character exploration, and a nonlinear narrative, which i’m always a huge fan of, so definitely check this one out!

i think there is someone (you love) by @lookslikefireflies! this is by far the best El pov fic i’ve ever read - the author understands her on a different level than even the duffer brothers do tbh. it’s got some good byler angst/emotions in it, but what i loved most about it is (once again) the El characterization, and the relationship between the Byers-Hopper siblings. i cannot recommend it enough

i could be brave by @ghoultaffy! this one was just a fun one-shot of Mike coming out to Lucas. i read it a while ago, but it still sticks out to me as a good example of a coming-out fic :D

I realize this is a group effort but I’m reaching out to you because you’re the one I interact with the most but holy shit my dude. Started We Are All Fools in Love and I don’t remember the last time I’ve seen such a tour de force of talent… you 3 make an incredible team and I absolutely can not wait to read the rest of this story!! You guys are so incredible! I’ll update you occasionally on my thoughts! Thank you all for your gifts and bringing this story to life!! As always I wish you gentle days ahead 💜💙💚

i think i can speak for all three of us when i say we're so happy you're enjoying it :D it's been a fun little project we're working on in between other things, so the updates might be a bit slower than some of our other fics, but we've been so thankful for all the people so far who have shown their love for it!! i know me and starsarefire are really enjoying getting to explore these characters in a regency-era setting, and thornywords has been creating some beautiful art to go along with everything T_T it's been so fun, so we're really grateful you're enjoying it, too!!

from what i can tell (at least from what i've seen in other posts lol), i think you and thornywords already know each other?? anyway this is my way of saying that, if you're comfortable with it, you should totally let @starsarefire824 know your thoughts, too!! the next chapter coming up is gonna be theirs, so i'm sure they'd love to hear your thoughts once it's up, if you so desire :D

anyway Jon, this was lovely as always. and i never really said anything else on it, but thank you for your kind words in response to the other aftry ask i responded to! i'm happy to report that i am doing much better now, and i'm patiently excited to see what kinds of chords you're cooking up in relation to that fic 👀
