First Ten Days of Inktober 2024! If things go right, I'll hopefully have three little batches.

One Modern Au so far cause it was my best idea for Passport and I wanted to give him an earring.

Imagine calling Jing Yuan an "old man".

He sits there on his arm chair processing the words for a bit before he agrees, he's an old man. But he gets up and he stalks closer to them lifting one hand to firmly place beside their head trapping them in between him and their seat on the couch. He looks hungry but also very much like a cat that's caught a mouse or rather lion that's captured it's prey. "This 'old man' is definitely youthful enough to keep you satisfied no?"

“So… who are you, really?”

“Gojo Shiki,” the girl who ended up coming out of Prison Realm instead of Gojo-sensei responds. She seems… oddly calm for someone who is surrounded by multiple sorcerers who are all in varying degrees of shock and disbelief towards her. But she doesn’t appear to be hostile even despite this, which is probably a good sign.

Yuta is still having trouble wrapping his head around this mind-boggling situation. If this was Gojo-sensei’s idea of a joke…

No. Sensei liked to play tricks on his students, sometimes, but he wouldn’t go as far as doing something like this, not when the stakes were so high and things were serious.

Still, there was a question that remained unanswered: If Gojo-sensei wasn’t the one sealed inside the Prison Realm, then… where was he?

And another question: Who was this girl that came out from the Prison Realm instead? Like Gojo-sensei, she has white hair and blue eyes, but–

“Are we sure that Gojo-sensei doesn’t have a little sister or something?” Itadori asks.

“As far as I’m aware,” Mei-san murmurs, “There isn’t someone called ‘Gojo Shiki’ who exists in the Gojo Clan at all.”

“… Eh?”

The ensuing conversation following that mildly alarming tidbit of information is convoluted and confusing, all the way up until it finally becomes clear that Gojo Shiki is from… some sort of weird alternate universe, apparently.

“You’re Nanami’s niece?”

The girl blinks placidly. “Does he not have one in this world?”

“We’d have to check the records,” Kusakabe-sensei frowns.

Another slow blink. “Why not just ask him directly?”

… Oh boy.

“He’s dead,” Yuta finally speaks up in the stilted silence that follows. Nanami Kento had been a strong Grade One, but more than his skill as a sorcerer –he was a good person. One who was well-respected and well-liked by others around him. “He was killed in action during the Shibuya Incident. The Special Grade cursed spirit responsible for it, Mahito, was subsumed by Kenjaku using Geto’s Cursed Spirit Manipulation.”

The girl’s expression doesn’t change at all upon hearing the words. But all the same, Yuta can feel the hairs rising on the back of his neck, and it’s a little terrifying.

“… I see.” A slight pause. Then, “Who else is dead?”

“Tsukumo Yuki was killed by Kenjaku in combat.” It had been a nasty blow, the loss of yet another Special Grade sorcerer on their side. No pressure, Okkotsu. “Most of the Zenin Clan’s sorcerers are gone, too, but that’s, um–”

“I’d do it all over again,” Maki says harshly from the side, glaring. Yuta raises his hands in a clear gesture of surrender. He wasn’t criticizing!

“… We need to figure out what we’re going to do about this situation,” Kusakabe-sensei lets out a long breath. “Without Gojo Satoru… just Kenjaku is enough to give us all a headache already. And we also have Ryomen Sukuna to worry about, now that he’s taken over Fushiguro Megumi’s body, too–”

“Ryomen Sukuna is using Megumi as his vessel?”

… Yikes. Looks like there’s still a lot of things that they need to explain about the chaotic mess going on.

Plus, I can easily picture some sort of cat getting on Voyager somehow and he's the only one staunchly against letting it stay but then he grows to be the most attached, secretly. There's a girl lazily lounged over a chair in a café in the street.

She's sprawled out in a graceless, careless manner. One that causes more than a few people to turn their heads to glance at the shameless display of such uncouth mannerisms in a public area… but the white-haired girl herself does not appear to notice the attention at all. Instead, her attention is focused on the untouched slice of cake sitting on the table in front of her, with an expression that wavers between aversion and curiosity.

"Hello, Shiki. How have you been doing?"

Uraume watches impassively as Kenjaku strides forward and takes a seat across from the girl at her table with a smile. The girl does not return the greeting, however. Dark blue eyes flick towards him dismissively, then cut over to Uraume–

–no, not to Uraume. Nanami Shiki’s gaze rests upon Lord Sukuna.

“Fushiguro… no,” the girl mutters to herself. Then, straightens with a spark of something approaching interest in her eyes. “Ryomen Sukuna. I thought the vessel was the Itadori boy?”

“I’m afraid your news are rather outdated,” Kenjaku shakes his head, smiling. “But this was a recent development, so I don’t blame you for not knowing.”

“Hmm,” the girl says. She leans forward on the table, one hand lazily propped under her chin. “So. Why are you here?”

“Can’t you take a guess?” Kenjaku lifts his hands and raises his palms harmlessly. “We seek the fingers that you have in your possession –Ryomen Sukuna’s fingers. For what price would you be willing to part with them?”

“No.”

Kenjaku raises an eyebrow. “‘No?’ You would take the side of sorcerers in this conflict? Is that what you really want, now?”

“If you really knew what I wanted,” the girl informs him simply, “Then you would know better than to show yourself before me like this.”

A momentary stillness; the calm before the storm.

Kenjaku promptly throws himself backwards, right as the tip of a knife grazes his jugular. There are startled shouts from all around them, at the sudden, unexpected sight of a girl pulling out a weapon in the middle of broad daylight–

Uraume hadn’t expected this, either. Hadn’t expected the girl to suddenly just attack like this, with no care for anything or anyone around her. Snake-like cursed spirits spring up from beneath Kenjaku’s feet, hissing as they leap towards the now-hostile curse user–

She doesn’t pause for a single instant, slicing through them all like paper. Including the regular humans who’d been swept up in the wave of Kenjaku’s cursed spirits. There’s absolutely no hesitation at all, not even the slightest hint of pause.

“This is a little much, don’t you think?”

“Did you honestly think I wouldn’t recognize you?” The girl levels her knife at Kenjaku, “Araya’s collaborator.”

Cursed energy flares, and there is the cold flash of a blade–

Lord Sukuna catches the knife and shatters it in his bare palm; the girl changes targets immediately, somehow procuring another knife out of nowhere.

The best option would be to negotiate. But if it comes down to a battle… make sure that she doesn’t cut you. Nanami Shiki’s abilities are… very lethal.

Lord Sukuna gestures sharply with his hand; a long gash opens up instantly on the curse user, who doesn’t appear to feel the pain at all, for all the effect that the gaping wound has on their movements. Uraume’s hands slam onto the ground; jagged spire of ice surging forward and–

The girl glances over at Uraume, and suddenly Uraume is… frozen. Frozen in place and unable to move even a single finger, heart gripped tight with some unholy, inexplicable terror, but that can’t be right, Uraume can’t be–!

“Uraume,” Lord Sukuna says. Why does it sound as if Lord Sukuna’s voice is coming from somewhere far, far away? “Don’t interfere.”

Uraume attempts to open their mouth to respond. They are unable to.

The girl looks away from Uraume. Uraume’s body collapses forward, and… and…

“Are they important to you?”

“Merely a competent subordinate.”

The girl hums, a noncommittal sound. There’s a corner of Uraume’s mind that burns with anger at such disrespect shown to Lord Sukuna, but at the same time he is also keenly aware that the level of battle that is about to take place is not something within his abilities to–

Casually, the girl’s hands rise up and fold together into a seal in front of her chest.

“Let’s see,” she says, “Domain Expansion.”
