I love the look of Everdell. Such a great table presence. A giant tree in the middle of the table, lots of little forest critter meeple, beautiful artwork and cards. This is a very interesting game by #JamesAWilson and published by #StarlingGames. I have to say that the first half of or play I was confused and not enjoying the game. I couldn't figure out how we were going to be able to do anything meaningful in the with so few workers and resources. But about half way thru I "got it" and saw how the card combos could really work together, get a lot of resources (or enough) and let you do SO much on your turn. I love it when a game surprises me like this! I think calling this a worker placement game is a bit misleading cuz there are so few workers to play with. After just one play I thought it was more of a tableau building game. I can't wait to play it again and try the new game expansion coming out soon. My Top 30 Games My number 6 game in my collection is Everdell by @starlinggames Everdell transports me to a whimsical woodland kingdom where we forge our own town trying to be the most prosperous in all the land. You achieve this by collecting resources and using those to build structures and invite townsfolk to your village. You have 15 space tablaue to fill with these villagers and buildings so finding the right combination to maximize points is always a fun; and there are so many cards you will have yo adapte your strategy based on what cards become available. We also love the amazing production of the components and Evertree, as well as the incredible art by @andrewbosley We love Everdell and always have a blast playing it. I'm excited for the new expansions and what they will bring to the game, I hope to be able to check them out once they hit retail. Do you like Everdell? How many of the expansion for it do you own?
