Under a Comfort: An Alternate View of Season 5 by Diamondmask | Teen | ~66k

Written in screenplay form - a collection of 13 scripts, one for each episode of s5. I'll admit, it's a bit rough and there are a lot of punctuation typos that can be distracting, but MAGIC REVEAL EARLY ON AND DEALT WITH. MERLIN AT THE ROUND TABLE. CHARACTERIZATION FOR MINOR CHARACTERS. CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT THAT MAKES SENSE. Basically, this is everything I wanted from series 5. 

When Morning Comes by Starlingthefool | Mature | ~9k

An apocalypse fic that hit me hard. Arthur goes off to fight the alien invaders while Merlin helps Gaius as a medic, communicating through the wounded soldiers sent back to the encampment to heal. Reminds me of this song.

Death by Squirrel and Arthur the Explorer by Tierfal | Teen | ~9k & Teen | ~4k

CRACK. GLORIOUS CRACK. Death by Squirrel is a ridiculous quest to slay an army of vicious, evil squirrels (plus puns about Arthur's ass), and Arthur the Explorer is what Arthur and Merlin do when Camelot takes an economic downturn. 

The Wrong Avalon by leashy_bebes | Teen | 11k

Reads exactly like the best kind of Doctor Who episode. It's a crossover fic and gorgeous, both emotionally and in the way it's written. It manages to reconcile magic and Doctor-style technology quite cleverly.

Probably all the lovely messages I get from people on this website. I’m not even joking, I will sit in my bed, rereading those messages over and over because some are just so adorable.

I actually play a few. I play the piano, xylophone, bells, and I’m learning the violin. :)
