@kakyoinmonth day 13!! — Family
Don’t look at me in that way, or I’ll feel ashamed for dying
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s purposefully in a terrible quality, it’s to match kikuo’s work :3
I recommend the song I based this piece on it’s like a 1000/10 it’s really good
I took considerably less making this but it’s been in my head for so long that I can’t help but feel proud :) also! Kakyoin’s parents (still in the same awful quality(I really hope tumblr won’t crush the quality even more))

so I found another fun Canon Dissection in my DMs so I thought I’d share :D
Silver Chariot Requiem right? One of my favorite Stands who’s power is absolutely broken and terrifying
Remember how Polanreff describes being stabbed by an arrow a second time as essentially transforming the Stand into what the user desires in that moment?
For Giorno it was the power to defeat Diavlo for good and make sure he could never come back
For Kira it was making it so the secret of his identity could never be shared with anyone
So this raises the question of what the hell did Polnareff want that gave Silver Chariot Requiem the ability to swap souls
Well……. what if it stemmed from Polanreff’s guilt from Egypt
What if, even years later, deep down he wished that he could have swapped places with Avdol or Iggy or Kakyoin so they could have lived in his place
And what if Silver Chariot Requiem answered those wishes

Dio Brando went from this evil poor Victorian child, to an evil grown man vampire, to a 121 year old cult leader who’s philosophy ends up restarting the whole universe. That is so insane. I’m so proud of him.

Abdul's death has always been annoying to me for writing reasons- he gets killed saving Polnareff (or so we are led to believe) very early in and gets brought back a few fights later only to do nothing of any particular importance and just die saving Polnareff again. As much as I like him and see the potential for a good character in him, it makes him quite a weak character in practice with an even weaker impact upon his (non-fakeout) death.
I kind of wonder what it would've been like if, instead of Abdul dying to save Polnareff in the Vanilla Ice fight, the roles were reversed and Polnareff died saving Abdul instead. That came to mind for me as that would've been an interesting reversal of the initial fakeout-death so it's given more purpose than simple shock value and I feel it would've added something to Abdul and Polnareff's relationship. (It does take away from the part of Polnareff's character where he's forced to keep moving on as all of his loved ones die around him, but he ends up dying and becoming a turtle in part five anyway, so... you know.)
Abdul being in part five instead of Polnareff would've also been interesting, I think- though, I'd be quite upset if it ended with him becoming a turtle (even for Polnareff, that was kind of an unceremonious capping-off of his character... Abdul definitely doesn't deserve that.) Maybe he could get something more dignified, like he ends up just barely surviving Diavolo's attack and going back to his original body in the end, or he just dies "gracefully" without any of the turtle stuff. I'm not sure.

I feel like a lot of people in the jjba fandom seem to genuinely struggle with how to flesh out Jotaro as a character or trying to imagine how he might have matured as a person without keeping Kakyoin's death canon. The single biggest reason I don't really explore the idea of killing him off in any of my aus is that I hate the idea of Kakyoin's entire existence being reduced to Jotaro's manpain. I'm not really a big fan of stuffing underutilized side characters into the fridge to begin with so the hero can get all sad and determined, honestly.
I think Jotaro doesn't necessarily have to be a less deep or interesting character in continuities where Kakyoin survived, nor do Kakyoin survives aus automatically have to be "softer" or less angsty.

been thinking about my girl erina pendleton joestar recently
might as well bring up my personal headcanon that the joestar 'punching ghost' stands come from erina while the plant/vine ones come from jonathan. and the similarity to dio's stand is bc she's connected to dio just like jonathan was, though that connection's overlooked. it's not really a serious theory but it's real to me /lh

Whenever people try to point out what makes Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, well, bizarre, I feel they always gravitate towards moments that are deliberately meant to be amusing or off-putting or exciting due to their weirdness, and never the moments that are actually completely serious and grounded in but need you to have bought into the world of this show fully.
It's good fun to highlight the woman who shrinks people and stuffs them into taxidermies to act as pets, but you're meant to find that weird
However, during a scene where a hero sacrifices himself to save his heavily wounded friend, but the friend dies to save the hero instead with the physical manifestation of his spirit because his soul wouldn't have accepted any other choice, leaving the already survivor's guilt-plagued hero to lament his continued survival with a short poetic narration of how a dead soul feels to touch, I doubt that the intent was to make you go:
"Wait, isn't it weird that the friend here is a full-ass dog?"

Kiss Prompts #12. A kiss in grief
Joseph Joestar (part 3)/reader (gender neutral reader)
It’s all over. Jotaro has done what no one else could, finally defeated Dio. The cost was high. Avdol. Iggy. Kakyoin. Joseph. You’re riding in a Foundation ambulance with Jotaro, trying not to look at Joseph’s withered form on a gurney beside you. You don’t want to believe he’s gone. They’d brought Dio’s body along too, but you don’t have any problem looking at that gurney. It’s hard to believe the monster behind all this looks so… small. Human in death.
Jotaro looks more angry than anything else. He’s badly hurt, but the pain doesn’t show on his face. You know you’re not that stoic. Your arm is broken, among a dozen smaller injuries, and you’re pretty sure you’re concussed.
“No. It’s not over yet.” Jotaro mutters, standing up suddenly and raising his voice. “I want a blood transfusion between the two bodies. Is that possible?”
“You think-?” You don’t dare hope, not yet.
“He’s only been dead for a few minutes, just put the blood back in him.”
“But his heart has stopped! There’s now way to circulate the blood. It’s impossible!” One of the EMTs shakes his head, but Jotaro stands firm.
“I’m done with impossible. If all you need is a heartbeat, I’ll do it myself.” Star Platinum appears, hovering over Joseph and plunging a hand into his chest. Something beeps, and the EMTs jump.
“I-it’s working! His heart is beating!” They rush to set up the transfusion, and you can’t stand it anymore, you stand in spite of your dizziness and hurry to stand at the side of the gurney. You have to see this for yourself.
“Come on, Joseph.” You whisper. “Come back to us.”
Color starts to return to his face, and you lean down to kiss him, careful of your arm. It’s silly, but you have this hope that he’ll come back for you, as if he’d somehow feel your kiss from wherever he is. And if he doesn’t, it’ll be your goodbye kiss. You never had a chance for one.
It’s just your lips pressed against his, a few tears rolling down your cheeks to land on his, not some magical movie kiss. You know it’s Jotaro and the EMTs doing all the real work.
But when Joseph’s lips move against yours, it feels like he really did come back just for you. You can’t hold back your tears as they overflow, and he reaches up to wipe them for you.
“Don’t cry, baby.” He says softly. “I’m here.”
You kiss him again, longer and deeper now that he’s alive and responding. You’re overwhelmed with this miracle on top of everything else (including your concussion). You have to lean against his gurney for support.
“Looks like you’d better sit down before you fall.” Joseph sits up with a hand on your arm. “Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere.”

Star Swap is so hyped for me!!!  cuz Jotaro just has to go through his trauma! Jotaro gets to uncover what happened! Protect his past self! He has to inform his past self that things are going to go well In the past his mom was going to be okay and nobody (Important Dio get fucked) dies. But also things are going to go bad because that brat that past him is currently inhabiting right now. Will make everyone in the past freak out so bad because he didn't write down a single thing explaining anything.
SO RUDE JOSUKE! and low-key life-ruining.
I know you said in general that Jotaro Is going to have a thing with electricity and Loud Noises (which I think are Kira's bombs I'm pretty sure) I also think *Click is just going to Immediately alert him. But I would also like to add RATS.
Because I can't get over the fact that two Jotaros with their same Stands are going to be facing off with two rats with their same stands and our two Jotaros are going to get CLAPPED.  Those rats were INSANE.
Anytime Adult man Jotaro nearly gets killed
The teenager Jotaro’s brain: FREAKS OUT
I think the main issue here is that Jotaro has no actual context so Jotaro looks at a radio tower “I have emotions towards this And have no idea why and that's a problem.” I also feel like he's probably going to be Vigilant toward any unexplainable feelings that seem to emanate from that memory Gap so those Feelings just kind of get Amplified until he gets an explanation.
Having said that, I do believe that it is quite possible for our adult man Jotaro to ping Yoshikage Kira  Before he does anything in front of anyone.  Passing each other on the road but only once.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS yesyesyesyesyesyes
GOD this is all so delicious I barely know where to start
I didn't even think about just how much the mystery of Jotaro's "past" is going to tie into all this. Part 4 really is just a mass of mysteries and uncovering so many decade old secrets, and now some of the secrets have become personal
(Also uh. Before we get into things, clarifying nicknames are likely in order <3 let's just keep it simple and easy, Jojo is the teen and Jotaro is the adult)
but just. Gods can you imagine the pure chaos when Jotaro and Jojo meet for the first time. Jojo of course realized what was going on first, after all Jotaro's style.... really hasn't changed much. Not to mention the subtle shift in the air when the other man used his Stand
and of course, when Jotaro realizes he gets thrown for a loop. He came here to check up on his father's illegitimate child and do some poking around for the arrows. Now he's suddenly being nailed in the face with the past that's eluded him for years
it's going to be a MASSIVE relief for Jojo to hear, even if he doesn't express it fully. That mom is safe, that everything turns out okay.
He is however, equally as frustrated by Jotaro's lack of clarity in his memories and starts planning out a very aggressive note to leave behind when they finally switch back
and YESSSSSSSSSS with the clicking noise and rat thing, that's absolutely perfect. Especially with the rat thing since well. They move :)
and the worst part of it all, the electricity and explosions and clicks and rats, is Jotaro doesn't know why. All he knows is that this is a danger to him, that it is life threatening and pain causing and he needs to get away
(and speaking of Bug Eaten, Tonio is going to be getting a L O T more visits than in canon on account of the whole..... Being The Only Healer In This Entire Stand Ridden Town)
I LOVE the concept of Jotaro getting vague feelings of events to come. Because his memories aren't fully gone per say, they exist and are present but they're hazy and muddled and unclear. And yet, with every day he spends in Morioh, every adventure he hears the kids have gone through and every adventure he gets roped into as well, they become clear
But rarely do the warning systems help. At least, not in any way that truly helps. After all, Fate and the Future has already been decided. every action has already been taken, every fate known, every thing unavoidable. This is not a second chance at the life Jotaro had lived, it was Jojo's first chance
that's the most taunting part of these feelings. How vague and muddled and fuzzy they are. A feeling of deja vu can mean a new ally or a hated enemy and he can't differentiate the two
when he eventually realises this, Jotaro shifts his energy to something he can do, and that's training the kids. He came back to his own time a competent fighter and with the ability to stop time, so dammit he knows he can at least try
...........wait a moment I had
a FUN idea to play with regarding the time stop
so. Given the fact Jotaro learned it essentially via a slight paradox, there would be no relation to Dio at all. There wouldn't be any baggage or trauma attached to it at all
at least...... not with Jotaro that is :)
the other Crusaders? Who fought and nearly died against such an ability? That's an entirely different ball park :)))
plus, it could also lead to some fun angst in terms of "Theories Of Where Jotaro Was" now including captured and possibly trained by Dio which wasn't a fun thought for anybody involved
