Elliott absolutely played with Barbies (or equivalent dolls) as a kid. With multiple older sisters, it was a way for him to be included in play time. Playing with dolls also helped him practice communication skills at an earlier age, learn empathy, and cultivated his imagination. And he could practice his braiding skills and later more elaborate hairstyles.
