His thumb rubbed over the call button again, just feeling the grooves there without actually pressing thee button down. Arcadia was in his sights and Emily’s number was primed and ready at his fingertip.

But he was hesitant. His heart yearned for her from the moment he left her side, and yet...

He’d been gone for so long... Could she still wish to be with him?

Flak swallowed finally, watching Arcadia grow as his ship sailed closer. He had to call now, now or never.

He pressed the button and put the device to his ear, waiting to hear the click of the receiver and that angelic voice.

He couldn’t stop his smile, heart pounding in excitement.

“It’s me... I’m home, Emily.”

Just realized today is the day my hiatus is up, so hello, I am alive! I will be getting back to rest of my kiddos tomorrow! Back Home II Haley & Emily

Settled in, Haley knew who the first person she needed to see was. It wasn’t at all a long trip, since she had made sure she lived in a house just a couple doors away from her sister’s.

It had been so long, and the two had only been communicating through letters for the past few years. It wasn’t surprising, given the friction between them before Haley had left for college.

But this time, she was here to make things right.

Nervousness creeping in, Haley knocked on the door. It’s just Em, Haley. There’s no way she’ll turn you away.

“Hey, Sis...” She gave a warm, hesitant smile as the door opened.

Catching Up || Felicity & Emily

[ ♥ ] — It had been a few months since Emily quit her job at the bar and moved over to Arcadia. Although Felicity was happy for her friend and the new strides she had been taking in life, she did miss having her around to talk to. Work at the bar was so lonely these days, and even with all the customers that came through, the waitress often felt like she was the only one there.

So when she gets a little free time off of work, she decides to call Emily up and arrange a friendly visit, the two of them ultimately deciding to catch up at one of Arcadia’s local cafes. (Because it was not a proper catch up without delicious food, of course!)

Once the meeting day arrives, Felicity gets to the restaurant a bit earlier than intended. And as she sits, waiting for her friend and enjoying the tropical ambience of the Carosello Café, the blonde begins to wonder about all the things that could have happened with Emily since her move here. She was so excited to hear it all!

Ice Breakers || Julia & Emily

[ ♛ ] — When it came to workplace settings and relationships, it was of Julia’s firm opinion that the employer was the person that mattered most. They were the one you needed to kiss up to, to befriend and appeal to, so that you could form much needed connections, cultivate a reputation, and advance up the corporate ladder.

But that wasn’t to say that co-workers didn’t matter, either! Because they did. After all, the more they liked you, the better you would look to the people who mattered more.

So when the tailor’s shop closes for the day, Julia puts on her sweetest smile and approaches her co-worker, Emily. She hadn’t spoken with the woman much, on account of always rushing off to another job or appointment whenever her shift ended, but she had a little free time today, and figured she would make use of it.

“Oh, Emilyyyy~!” She singsongs as she nears the woman, “Do you have any plans for after this? If not, I figure we could go out for a post-work meal? Drinks, perhaps? I would loooove for the chance to get to know you better!”

Wedding Expenses

There were many people responsible for making this special day possible, and he owed them all a great deal.

Pays 5,000G to City Hall ( @paladin-harris ) for the marriage license.

Sneakily yeets 100,000G to @fashionistaextraordinaire (even though she said it was for free) for letting the lovebirds use Exire as a venue.

Pays 20,000G to @stardewemily for two custom groomsmen suits ( for @neildownpeasant and @treetopdynamite ).

Pays 10,000G to @littlemissillusion for entertainment.

Pays 10,000G to @carosellocafe for dancing.

Sweet Seams }♡{Emily&Lumina

Lumina had the entire day off today as she was on a mission. In one hand was a dress and the other was the ticket for the ferry and the directions to Sonata Tailoring. The ferry had been nice but now was the hard part of navigating the city. The buildings were all so close together, she couldn’t exactly tell which sign corresponded with which building but she was sure it was either this door or the one next to it. Opening the pink door she called out shyly, “Hello?” Once the door was open she realized that she had chosen correctly as she was greeted to the sight of colorful and cute fashions with cheerful fabrics.  Lumina smiled at the lady behind the counter and closed the door behind her.

“I have a tear in this dress, I was wondering if anyone here might be able to mend it?” Lumina approached the lady at the counter and unfolded the garment to show her the split along the side of the skirt, “I think it’s just a simple stitch but I don’t remember the last time I’ve seen my sewing kit, and even so, my threadwork is not that good…” She smiled pleasantly though a bit nervously at the woman, hoping she didn’t think too much of the uniform that she wore to CuteTea Maid Cafe. 

Uniforms were assigned to workers but you were encouraged to personalize it and Lumina had done a few simple but imperfect adjustments. For example she had added heart pockets on either side but they were a little off-center and in a cheery cat pattern print that did not quite match the pink coloring of the dress nor did it compliment the fabric. She had also replaced the buttons with heart shaped ones which were mostly dangling loosely on their threads. The yellow ribbon she had added near the neckline by some strange luck was still limply hanging onto the dress despite the edges of the ribbon being frayed; Lumina’s only guess was that the hot glue was doing its job.

“Would it be possible?”

Lumina could sense a look of curiosity or perhaps amusement from the lady. She clarified, trying not to ramble but feeling the need to explain herself, “Just in case you were wondering, this isn’t what I usually wear... This is for, um, work.” A light chuckle as she realized how that might make her look even more ridiculous.

Wedding Planning: Finalization | Closed

“There’s so much to do...” Margaret looked at her binder of wedding planning details, all of the necessities for every part of the wedding within it. Various small papers stuck out here and there, but each one managed to stay glued in or held to the page by a paperclip. Written on the first page were all of the expenses:

With all of the expenses considered and paid for, Margaret and Jake only had to wait until the big day, each second bringing them closer to the happiest day of their lives. The elvish woman wandered through the house, Hunter at her heels, as she went to find her beloved and share the details of the wedding day.

Hug Meme

“Au revoir!” Felicity returns her co-worker’s hug with a spirited farewell, giving Emily a light squeeze before pulling away. Their shift at the bar had ended, and the time to leave for home was upon them. It was a shame Felicity only ever got to interact with the woman at work--- she seemed like she would be a joy to hang out with.

"See you tomorrow, Emily! I have to head out now, but perhaps next time we can stop for some tea?”

Emily will be returning as Dorothy's neighbour on Godessia Lane and to her jobs at Thread by Thread and Evie's tailor shop (I'll just pretend she was at the wedding, she is so happy for those two

So, although the thread isn't complete yet, Emily will be leaving all of her jobs in Leuda and will be swapping her house for the house next to Dorothy's, on Arcadia, House #5681:... And she and Flak are moving in together. Not because they like each other or anything, though. ;) And she will be transferring to SOnata Tailoring and starting at Thread by thread. Thank you
