Well now I have to ask. why don’t you like discord?

(takes a sip out of my wine glass full of chocolate milk)

Discord came out when I was 13, it'll be 10 years old this year. And Discord came in the worst clusterfuck time of my life.

Picture this guy as a wee teen: incorrect prescription glasses, second tallest in the grade, the person people would ask out as a joke, addicted to three things: marble hornets, five nights at Freddy's, and undertale.

Now there is about 10 different precursor big life events revolving around CPS and who exactly I interacted with on my very unrestricted internet access, but the important part was I made the decision that if no adult nor "peer" around me was going to belive me when I told the truth, I'm gonna lie instead.

And they believed it, the lies. Cue downward spiral.

Discord was new and cool and I had so many people in the servers who fed into me lying my ass off to seem cool and collected. I was pretending to be whole ass different people who liked different things, and when I got called out on it, I blocked them and responded typical of me (complete breakdown).

This lasted until I was about 17. And was firmly being hit with the consequences of my actions. I ignored them and deleted Discord.

And I got better about the lying thing. Well it's one of those things that messed up every one of brain systems but I got better.

and then I re-downloaded Discord, and immediately began lying out my ass again, compulsively. This was when we thought tumblr was gonna shut down and people were moving to other platforms.

Cycle restart.

I deleted it again after trying to stop the whole compulsive lying thing for months. And it took longer for me to stop the urge to do it to real people.

And this is no fault of discord. I hate it because I was genuinely awful on the platform to the point I would relapse if I got on it.

it's just easier to say that I hate discord.

Either Data or Lore could 100% be like "we are NOT related, we are two robots built by the same person" but they never are, they're always like "ugh, that's my brother 🙄" and I love that.

10/10 funniest Spock moment is when he accidentally tells everyone he went blind bc he forgot he has an extra set of eyelids.

he ACTUALLY thought that HE, himself, was permanently blinded before going, 20 minutes later, “OH FUCK! I can see again”

normally that’s something Spock would do just to fuck with everyone but this time he also had his ass handed to him because he couldn’t remember HIS OWN NUMBER OF EYELIDS
