Ascendancy week day 2: Skywalker

Whoever gave little skywalker che'ri a camera and let her into the briefing room is going to be in biiiiiiig trouble.

Glad I got my least favorite piece out of the way early. It's only downhill from here friends! It was fun to come up with quick designs for Thalias samakro and che'ri tho and I got to sneak in my oc doc :> so not a complete loss

I was so giddy when Chaos Rising unexpectedly bumped into Alliances. Alliances came out in 2018, and Chaos Rising in 2020. One book, and two years later, we got to see that Timothy Zahn had everything perfectly planned and he just made us wait for something we didn't know we were waiting for, which is not unlike his devious son. If only the rest of this franchise could be so coordinated!

thrawn: claw machines. honestly just carnival games in general - i feel like he'd be too good at them & would constantly try to win eli the biggest possible stuffed animal

eli: early 2000s/2010s daytime cooking shows with female leads (barefoot contessa, the pioneer woman, giada at home, etc.)

ar'alani: jigsaw puzzles

che'ri: making friendship bracelets for the eras tour/taylor swift in general (it's also just important to me that she listens to 'would've could've should've' & gets to be sad + angry about her childhood)

wutroow: reality television, but especially shows like the circle or big brother (she's convinced she would win). also astrology

samakro: going to a full service high tea - the ones with all the fancy finger foods & fine china

thalias: paint your own pottery places

ba'kif: dressing up as fictional characters to go cheer up kids who are sick in the hospital

faro: home renovation/diy projects, but the super intense ones that require at least 3 trips to home depot

thurfian + zistalmu: the yik yak app
