random fordo headcanons in no specific order

looks like Generic Clone (TM) except has a y-shape scar on the right side of his face from the corner of his mouth and from just below his cheekbone back into his hair and the shrapnel that did it also sliced off part of his ear on that side

speaking of ears, he loses his helmet mid-battle like obiwan loses his lightsaber and is hard of hearing for various explosion shaped reasons. stec and the rest of the m10 accommodate him well enough it doesn't become an Issue with the kaminoans until far enough in the war for him to get hearing aids instead of euthanized

("but panther! him losing his helmet is clearly not the case in clone wars 2003!" consider: clone wars 2003 is in-universe propaganda (bad propaganda bc palps) about the negotiator and the hero with no fear and is largely not representative of the bodies actually fighting the war or their general disposition)

although i will allow that part of the m10's accommodations are relying almost exclusively on hand signals in combat because a) their co can't keep his comm on his goddamn head and b) even if he could it's 50/50 whether or not the audio quality is bad enough he wouldn't be able to understand them anyway

he's good with teaching cadets and enjoys it v much but when it comes to being around children in any other setting, he's that guy that leans away from them as they come closer. kids ofc think this is hilarious and so make a point to swarm him at any given opportunity which does not help endear them to him as individuals or as a concept

he went to the ct-27-5555 school of showing brotherly affection (or more accurately vice versa)

thinks either extremely deeply or not at all, there is no in-between

started mimicking 17 as a cadet just because it was funny and it has not stopped being funny since so he has not stopped either

in general just a rock solid absolutely batshit insane dude who delights in being a chaotic contradiction and faux contrarian bastard but has an emotional intelligence and easy insight that makes him most trooper's go-to for good advice

also he/they neptunic enbian for relationships and also views sex as a social interaction which is fun with just about anyone and everyone

Just imagine Captain Fordo, after the battle of Coriscant is assigned to the guard as stated in 2003 canon and the chancellor even bragged to him what an honor it is to have this position only; to figure out the guard and it’s commanders are basically mall cops with authority, encountering his first genuine tweaker. At first he’s taken aback by the belligerent nonsense, then he gets swung at so he tazed the fucker. This just irritates them because their on space bath salts and that only tickled them so he and Grizzor are running for their lives from this phyco smashing windows with their head and the only way they got away was by jumping on a dumpster droid until Fox showed up and coaxed them into the back of an laat by answering their riddle. Mentally Fordo is filling out transfer papers back to the front lines.

Fordo & Fox

Each day this month I have a 100 word drabble featuring a different clone with a kiss prompt. Not all are romantic and they include all sorts of pairings and relationships. Feel free to offer pairing/ character suggestions for future days.

As soon as the news broke Fox started running but he knew he was too late. He sprinted past shinies, jumped a hover-cart of supplies and vaulted out a window to start climbing a drainage pipe of a nearby building. He was waiting for him.

Hissing like a cornered tooka Fox fought valiantly but Fordo was stronger and had been putting up with his shit since he was a cadet. He tugged fox's helmet off and started peppering little kisses all over his cheeks.

"Who's my cute little fox cub? You are!" He cooed. Fox was too late to escape.

“Daydreaming on duty, Cadet?” a wry voice cuts into Cody’s reverie, and he startles, but recovers himself with aplomb. ARC training is no time to be caught unawares.

“My apologies, Lieutenant—”

“—Captain—“

“—oh, are we using correct ranks, Captain Alpha-Seventeen, sir?”

“Cody.”

Cody grins and turns to go, secure in victory.

“Commander-prospective, you didn’t answer my question,” Seventeen says pointedly, undeterred. “What exactly were you fantasizing about so dopily?”

“Nothing,” Cody shrugs, shaking his head.

Seventeen is unconvinced. “Not the mutie whose ass you were staring at in formation earlier?”

“Oh, him? He’s not bad,” Cody says nonchalantly.

Seventeen blats a laugh. “Damn him with faint praise, why don’t you!”

Cody shifts, caught between conflicting desires, to remain aloof or to correct the misapprehension. Seventeen reads it off him as easy as breathing and pounces on the vulnerability Cody’s hesitation left open.

“Got nothing better to say about him?” he mocks. “Speak freely, now!”

Cody frowns. “What’s being a mutie got to do with anything, honestly? If you can’t see for yourself that he’s far and away the best and brightest of this entire class—and I am including myself—you might need corrective eye surgery, sir.”

Seventeen’s smirk goes smug and satisfied in a truly concerning way at the same moment as Cody recognizes his own theoretical need for potential corrective surgery—on his ears. He hadn’t heard anyone walk up, but someone had just stifled a gasp a pace away over his shoulder, and now he’s afraid to turn around.

Seventeen salutes him, quite ironically, and moves out, likely to incite unrest elsewhere as well.

“You meant that?” the blond captain asks quietly. “Most people just notice my glaring deviation.”

“I’m sure you’re aware of how talented you are,” Cody says with an awkward little laugh. “No need for me to reinforce your ego, Lieutenant.”

“Coming from a veteran of the illustrious Squad Seven, I take that as a very high compliment,” he replies, genuinely. “I’m Rex, pleased to make your acquaintance.” He’s in fatigues, lightly sweating. Must have just come from the gym.

“Cody,” Cody says, “likewise.” He keeps his eyes up.

“So,” Rex says innocently, after a long moment of comfortably fraught silence, “want to expound on what was so fascinating about my backside?”

Under his breath, Cody grumbles nonsensically, “…pound that, fascinating my ass,” and Rex’s hearing must be better than perfect, because he cackles delightedly.
