Zizzi would shake her head gently as she had been teleported on a mission. This a bit different for her as it seems like she was a large ship by the looks of it. She made over a window as she was looking out into space. "Woah." She put her hands on the window as she was taking in everything. (Star Fox)
The large ship that Zizzi was in is the Great Fox, a flagship, space carrier and the mobile headquarters for the mercenaries-for-hire, the Star Fox Team. Slippy Toad, the team's mechanic was heading over to the bridge when he saw Zizzi. "AAHH!!"
"Slippy, what is it?" Fox shouted as he, Falco Lombardi, and Peppy Hare came to the bridge. "What in the?" Peppy Hare spoke. "Hey! Who let you in the Great Fox?" Falco Lombardi asked seeing Zizzi.
"Who are you? State your business on the Great Fox." Fox asked crossing his arms.

Tell us about Dill and Alexander! I kinda picture them in my head as Kermit and that blue eagle Muppet but gay and gamer/greasy mechanic. Is that where you got the idea? Is sburb's frog fascination gonna play into the story of these boyos?
oh what's that? you want to be the captive audience for a lore dump about my very special guys? completely unprompted and with total investment in everything i might have to say? well well, don't mind if i do!
SO, Dill Croaker and Alexander Falcon are members of a now-defunct group called The Falconers. they are modeled after Star Fox (the team) from Star Fox (the video games). we haven't seen Alex on screen yet, but here's @girlpillz's rendering of Dill for B1 verse 1, where Lenore Lehart shows off her sick bouncy ball skills for Dana Straten to get the attention of Dill.
Alex being a blue falcon, i imagine he looks legally distinct from Falco Lombardi from Star Fox (the video games; the team) albeit less cocky and attitudinous.
there are technical reasons for The Falconers' existence. going into 3.2B, i knew i wanted a secondary supporting cast in the margins capable of handling dirtywork off-screen. for instance, they're decrypting and analyzing Lenore's stolen witch data so the main cast doesn't have to worry about it, leaving us more time to luxuriate in what we're actually here for: feelings.
Star Fox 64 is my favorite game, so when it came time to come up with that supporting cast, the possibilities of a knockoff Star Fox team immediately sold me on the idea (especially since this is the only story where i will ever reasonably be able to get away with such a blatant act of self-indulgence. you wouldn't believe it from looking, but i don't actually do a lot of indulging myself with Godfeels. i try very hard to never throw things in without serious calculation. The Falconers are pretty much the only thing i've introduced that came as an inorganic external mandate of my own selfish making, and even then i've worked very hard to integrate them naturally). as a broken up four-person crew, they mirror the Upsilons-- and so, them helping the Falconers reunite in order to find Alphi and Edie gives these guys some juice. their backstory is a shadow of the Upsilons', and a useful point of comparison as the narrative plugs along. i could've made a girl Star Fox team, but frankly Godfeels is just so women-centered, so female-focused, so tgirl-transfixed that i figured it was about time to throw the boylikers a bone.
The Falconers are balanced as a calculated twist on the Star Fox team. the most immediate difference is that here, Alexander Falcon fills the role of Fox McCloud. he's the charismatic team leader, a little surly (especially these days) but good at his job and deeply committed to the care of his team. Dill Croaker is, obviously, only about five runs through the dryer away from Slippy Toad, and fills the same role. my reason for this is that everyone is mean to Slippy and they're wrong. Slippy is a brilliant engineer and programmer, why do you expect him to be an ace fighter pilot too? that's YOUR job, hotshot! Nintendo themselves have been all over the map with Slippy in terms of characterization, pretty much never getting him quite as right as he felt in 64. so, yeah, Dill is my take on Slippy: a clueless gamer frog who plays with a lot of edgelords but is himself impervious to their venom. he never cusses because he's a good boy, and he respects women.
Dill and Alex have lived together on Crime Planet for a long time. are they fucking? no, i don't believe they are. Dill strikes me as something of an ace king, and anyway i don't think he's Alex's type. mostly they work together in the shop and hang out doing bro stuff. maybe Alex lifts weights while Dill plays shitty space MOBAs. but all this begs the question: who is Alex's type?
as of the B1 solo we've learned a little bit about the other two Falconers. first there is Erol [last name unknown], the oldest member of the crew who's likely analogous to Peppy Hare. which leaves us with Yolo Sionnach. a lot of information can be implied about him from this exchange:
yes, a lot of information indeed. but as much as i would love to enumerate the implications, i must hold my tongue. i mean, i would type it all out, but i can't, because i'm literally using my fingers to hold my tongue in place so that i can't say the spoilers out loud
anyway, i like the muppet comparison. that wasn't what i had in mind at all, but now i'm imagining the Falconers as the puppets Nintendo used to advertise Star Fox Zero and........ ohhhh scope creep you saucy temptress
youtube
the Slippy slander is rampant! and that's to say nothing of the ad where muppet versions of Satoru Iwata, Shigeru Miyamoto, and Reggie Fils-Aime slowly transform into Peppy, Fox, and Falco respectively.
i can't say that Sburb/the Universe Engine have much to do with The Falconers' story. they're not godtier, they don't know anything about the UE, they are literally just space mercenary furries. they come from the Lemurian Star System, trained at the Academy on Lemuria, and worked in the Lemurian Sky Corps until starting their own independent outfit as contractors (which i imagine is a fairly common career path in a region racked by interplanetary war and rampant espionage). age-wise, they're in their mid 30s.
thank you for this wonderful question. no one ever asks about the other guys, and i am always dying to talk about the other guys.

My headcanons regarding Peppy in Star Fox Adventures/Dinosaur Planet:
Fuck no I’m keeping his decrepit and raspy 200-year-old man voice. If he’s going to have an old voice, it’d be the reasonable, warm, and emotional voice he had in Assault, albeit with 64 or Zero’s Southern accent. Or better yet, he’s still Rick May. Rest in Piece, Rick May. You’ll always be Peppy Hare in my heart. And I mean, it works--Rick May would have been around his 70s when he last voiced Soldier in Expiration Date I believe. And he still kicked it with that rough and hearty voice. So no, I refuse to accept 34-Pack-A-Day Peppy Chris Seavor gave him. Take it or leave it.
Yes, age is a factor; he fought in battles and various missions when he was still in the Cornerian Army and prior to Pigma’s betrayal with the original Team Star Fox. Stress and war does that to you. And at 49, you’re not a spring chicken (rabbit?) anymore. With that said, as the peaceful years are rolling in after the Lylat Wars, and with Lucy as an adult with her own life, the decades of trauma constant war-time stress is finally showing up on Peppy. His stepping down from the Arwing has less to do “hurr hurr I’m an old wrinkly sack of shit” and more “my body can’t take this anymore, boys, being your parent is stressful enough, let me rest, dammit.”
Related to this as a major factor as to why he stopped (actively) piloting: his vision is failing him. I mean, it was Adventures wherein Peppy started wearing specs and hasn’t stopped until Zero (and that’s a reboot where he’s younger and prettier again lmao). Being a pilot, especially in space, requires exceptional vision, and Peppy is hardly as sharp-eyed as he used to be. In addition to his body being unable to handle the stress of piloting, Peppy declines using apparatuses that could have helped him with his failing vision in the cockpit to just give his head a rest through regular spectacles. I’m going to put that this is also why he opts for specs as opposed to contact lenses too.
And in general, the older you get, the more you body can’t handle stress anyway. I previously headcanoned Peppy as someone with chronic hypertension, and as a young 30-something adult who has had been in work environments where I was enduring enough stress to push my blood pressure to levels wherein I’m just a few numbers away from needing to go to the emergency room, YEAH. I’m in my 30s; at 49, a slight number change can easily land Peppy in the hospital. Peppy’s blood pressure literally can’t take being in the cockpit anymore. Yes, he’ll hop in for the occasional backup and emergency, but as an active member of the team, he’s ready to give his heart a rest and be an advisor from the Great Fox.
It was an old passion he had in his youth, but between being a pilot and a Saurian researcher, he chose to be a pilot. But the passion for Saurian history, culture, and geography was still there, just as a secondary thing. By the time the Lylat Wars was over and Team Star Fox was no longer receiving as many jobs as they used to, Peppy decided to take advantage of his downtime to research on Sauria as as hobby. This ended up advantageous when Sauria fell into pieces and Team Star Fox was tasked to help out.
As for the differentiating verses if he stays in the Great Fox or goes planetside on Sauria:
Great Fox: His health is at a point he can’t actively join Fox on the ground. Simple as that. He was probably constantly sick at that time. I mean, it took me almost a week to recover from my highest points of hypertension, so imagine that for someone nearly twice my age.
Sauria: He has managed his health enough to camp and explore Sauria on foot. He keeps his health in check often enough to know when to slow down and when to keep going. Otherwise, at 49, while he may have a bad back and can’t run, climb, and jump around like he used to, he’s still very strong and can climb a mountain without breaking anything if given enough time and patience. He communicates with Fox and Slippy via commlink as he explores Sauria. Personally I’d prever Slippy to accompany Peppy wherever he goes (Slippy is still young, what’s your excuse to stay on the Great Fox, bro? >:V ), but given this is Tumblr RP, I’m okay with Peppy striking it out on his own and whomever are my RP partners. If anything, this excites me because this would give Peppy a great opportunity to explore his character more at this stage of life.
And there you have it. Got anymore to ask about, contest, or just comment on, feel free to hmu with an Ask.

Rules List for Mobile Users ✨
Last updated: 9/17/24
This is an independent and low activity roleplay blog primarily for the main protagonist of the Star Fox series, Fox McCloud, though it may feature fellow teammates: Slippy, Peppy, Falco, as well as an occasional appearance from James McCloud (borrowing from A Fox in Space and Rayex Visuals for icons) and maybe more to come. Its canon follows that of Star Fox 64 onward, with some aspects of earlier games, spin-offs, and Super Smash Bros series as well.
I am selective, though I’m not exclusive to mutuals, as I am a shy bean with a full time job and plenty of other offline responsibilities that don’t give me a whole lot of time to indulge in hobbies such as this. Also, please be patient with me for this same reason.
This blog is AU, OC, crossover, and duplicate friendly. Muses from Super Smash Bros. Series and Starlink welcome, too! Just be sure that you have something listed for your AUs and OCs that I can read up on. Also a note on crossovers: I’m a bit poorly educated outside of Nintendo, so I may need some extra plotting and/or time for research with such muses.
IC=/=OOC, my character’s beliefs are not my own.
I ship with chemistry. Feel free to have your muse flirt if they would, but don’t expect anything to develop before we’ve had a chance to talk and plot out the rest OOC. Fox is a bit fickle when it comes to the subject, though, so be warned lol
No God modding–that goes without saying. Always ask first if you’re unsure if something’s okay, and I will do the same.
Some adult themes may occur here that may be dark or suggestive in nature, but no outright smut. I will always be sure to tag it appropriately (as “trigger //”, and/or hide it under a “read more” with warnings above. Please let me know if I miss anything!
Watch my tags in prompts and memes, as I may have additional guidelines for them there (how many I'm accepting, what I won't answer, etc.) Also, while I try to practice it myself, I do not enforce reblog karma.
I do not condone racism, exclusionist, or homophobia, transphobia, arophobia, biphobia, or any form of harrassment. Bestiality, pedophilia, incest, and any form or level of sexual harassment is also a big no and immediate block. If you see me interacting with anyone like this, please let me know and bring proof, regardless of who you are or who the accused is. I've seen my fair share of slander as well, and I'm not a fan of that either.
Do not drag me into your OOC drama. I may step in if a friend is especially targeted, or there’s been some form of misunderstanding, but only at my discretion.
Do not send me anon hate. If you have an issue with me, dm me about it or it will be ignored at best. Biggest pet peeve is not being trusted to resolve an issue civilly and privately.
I may doodle fanart of threads, or reblog art memes. Please give this post a like if you’re okay with sharing them elsewhere!
Feel free to drop a like on this post to let me know you read it! Not a requirement, just reassurance to me.

[I did the same with Granga about his exact age in the three games following SF 64 ( He is 35 years old on my main verse ). And as I mentioned earlier, Command has no exact date, so I allow other muns to discuss the timeline there].
SF Farewell, Beloved Falco ( Four years ALW = 39 years old )
Star fox Adventure ( Four years ALW = 42 years old )
Star fox Assault ( One year later ALW = 43 years old )
Star fox Command ( IT DEPENDS ON YOU! )

[ I had to have done this before, but I took the time to better calculate the exact age of Galaxicos among the three games following SF 64 / Zero ( He has 55 years old at the end of Lylat Wars ), I preferred to share it here for the curious. Unfortunately Command did not help me at all because the game itself does not give the exact date of when the battle against the Anglars happens, but I leave that to other roleplayers to discuss with me and about the chronology. We can also always interact in other verses or events after Command].
SF Farewell, Beloved Falco ( Four years ALW = 59 years old )
Star fox Adventure ( Four years ALW = 63 years old )
Star fox Assault ( One year later ALW = 64 years old )

amtrax FAQ/About Me
Hello?
-Ahoy hoy!
Who are you?
-My name is Austin Lee Matthews and I’m a voice actor based out of California!
What do I know you from?
-I am the voice of Demon King Jester in Cyberdimension Neptunia: Four Goddesses Online, Jun Kiwatari in Kakegurui, Tatsumi in Sword Gai the Animation, Kai in Atelier Firis, Kagerou and Erst in Summon Night 6: Lost Borders, Grimlock in Transformers Legends, Dave “Killer” Carlson in Wasteland 2, various minor roles in Hunter x Hunter, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, Aldnoah.Zero, Magi; The Kingdom of Magic and more! I was also one of the finalists in 2011′s AX Idol Voice Over competition, the first callback for BangZoom’s Opening Auditions in 2014, and I’ve co-hosted a few panels at Anime Expo, Anime Los Angeles and Titan Con.
Don’t I know you from something else too?????
-I mean, probably.
How long have you been voice acting?
-I’ve been voice acting since April 14, 2009 (though I’ve found old cartoons I made before then that I voiced for, but I don’t count those. I count when I decided that I wanted to be a voice actor)
What kind of equipment do you use?
-I use an AT 2035 studio microphone with a Focusrite preamp, a microphone arm that clamps onto my desk, a Kaotica Eyeball acoustic housing, Audacity for recording and general mixing, Protools 10 for heavy duty mixing.
How did you become a voice actor?
-I grew up watching a ton of cartoons, doing silly voices, impersonating and repeating the dialogue from my favorite cartoons, watching documentaries about voice over (especially the Spongebob voice over featurette, which I watched religiously). Finally, I discovered online voice over through stuff like Legendary Frog, The Decline of Video Gaming, Perfect Kirby, DE: Dust, and stuff like that. Finally, after my friends and I fell in love with The Awesome Series, and quoted it so often, my friends encouraged me to start voice acting. I often attribute the Awesome Series as my initial impetus for acting, but so much led up to it that it’d be a disservice not to explain that it was really something I’ve loved my whole life.
How do I become a voice actor?
-Grab a microphone and start recording. Listen to yourself recorded. Get used to hearing yourself recorded. You will hate it for a while. Push through it. Audition for things CONSTANTLY. ALWAYS BE AUDITIONING. Cast a wide net for auditions, find what you are best at and what kind of roles you get cast in most, so you can start casting a line instead of a net. Keep at it. Save money. Get professional equipment. Take acting lessons. If you want to make money off of voice over, you need professional equipment and you need to take acting lessons. If you are using a guitar hero mic, Blue Snowball, or Blue Yeti, you are not ready to be charging money for your voice over. Learn how to mix. If you use Audacity, learn it up and down. If you use Adobe Audition, learn it back to front. If you use Protools, please for the love of all things bright and beautiful take a class in Pro Tools. You won’t be able to figure that program out yourself, I promise. MOST IMPORTANTLY: KEEP AT IT. IF YOU WANT TO DO IT, MAKE IT HAPPEN. DON’T WAIT FOR IT TO HAPPEN. MAKE. IT. HAPPEN
Do you have a voice demo?
-My character demo and commercial demos are available on my website here! I’ll be updating this with a visual reel at some point soon.
How do I make a voice demo?
That is a very big question. My best advice is “don’t do it yourself.” If you are making a demo to be presented to potential directors of online projects (i.e. Youtube, radio plays, etc.) get plenty of help from somebody who knows what they are doing. (I’m willing to help if I have time, but I do charge for my time and work when it comes to demo production). If you are looking to make a demo to present to studios or prospective agencies, save up some money and get a professional to help you. If you don’t have a big enough body of work to pull from, you will need to drop some pretty serious cash to record it in studio. If you do have a big body of work to pull from, you will need a professional to help you go through and pull out your very best bits that show off what you are best at. Either way, if you aren’t a professional, don’t do it yourself. And even if you are a professional, get help and maybe pay a demo director/mixer to do it for you. I put my demo together myself, but I got lots of trusted professional friends and colleagues to give me some serious feedback. I also went to college for sound design, so that helps too.
Who are YOUR favorite actors?
-Oh so many. Patrick Stewart, Betty White, Grey Griffin, Mark Hamill, Bill Farmer, Cree Summer, Maurice LaMarshe, Robert Paulsen, Wendee Lee, Steven Blum, Judi Dench, Kevin Michael Richardson, Jess Harnell, Troy Baker, Nolan North, Robert Downey Jr. James Earl Jones and basically all my voice actor friends, there are too many to list I love you guys ugh.
What are your favorite movies?
-Kung Fu Panda, Into the Spider-Verse, Summer Wars, Up, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Tokyo Godfathers, Paprika, Zooptopia, Empire Strikes Back, Scott Pilgrim VS the World, Redline, Batman Mask of the Phantasm, The Ghost and Mrs Muir, Thor 3, Avengers, Batman, The Great Mouse Detective
What are your favorite games?
-Undertale, Katamari Forever, A Hat in Time, Mario Kart 64, Star Fox 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Ghost Trick, Mass Effect 3, Paper Mario 2, Pokemon ORAS, Borderlands 2, Burnout Revenge, Megaman Legends 2, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island, Tetris Attack, Kingdom Hearts 2, Kingdom Hearts 3, Kingdom Hearts DDD
What are your favorite TV shows?
-Megas XLR, Cowboy Bebop, Nichijou, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Gurren Lagann, Teen Titans, Batman TAS, Batman Beyond, Kill La Kill, Futurama, The Simpsons, Spongebob Squarepants, Dragonball Z, One Punch Man, The Flash (Season 1), Madoka, Little Witch Academia, Gravity Falls, Ducktales
ARE YOU IN [insert show that hasn’t been released or had any casting announcements made for]?
I’m unable to comment on my involvement with projects that have not been released or that the client has not made a casting announcement for. You will find out as soon as I am at liberty to say, I promise! I wanna talk about it as much as you wannt know about it!
Anything else I should know about you??
-I’m actually pretty chill and mellow, love answering questions, and just love to help people create. Also, I’m nuts about monster people.

Let’s Talk About Star Fox and Character For a Moment - Part 1: Melodramatic Opera
Yeah yeah, first post in months and I’m not even RPing I’m making Yet Another Franchise/Fandom Rant. Bear with me, I reach a wider audience here than anywhere else and I got SHIT TO SAY yo.
No, you may not know every single character’s full name, height, weight, age, blood type, homeworld, parents, siblings, relatives, and intricate backstory of their entire lives, but you don’t NEED to (ok, maybe you do, if you’re an obsessive fandom nerd like us roleplayers are - but besides the point). The character’s archetype says all you need to know about them, and through this minimalist wriitng, you can infer a LOT about a character. This is even MORESO in Japan, where the voice acting a character receives can say just as much about a character’s archetype as well, just by virtue of the culture surrounding voice acting in Japan. For example, did you know Japanese Andrew in Star Fox Zero is voiced by Atsushi Abe, who delivers his lines with an almost Shonen Protagonist style of delivery. Pigma in Japanese 64 was voiced by the late voice acting legend Daisuke Gori, who was well known for playing “big guy” roles, and along with Pigma’s famous Kansai accent, gives Pigma that big guy bolster that he was known for, which adds to his character.
I rant about this because I see a lot of fandom cruft over wanting “deeper” Star Fox writing and I really think they’re missing the point of how and why the games are written the way they are. I also see people make the “point” that “well everyone is shallow and two dimensional anyway so who cares if they get rewritten differently” and it just REALLY boils my balls in all honesty, because it shows a total ignorance for Star Fox’s method of storytelling. Yes, it is shallow, but this is not a FLAW in and of itself. Archetypal writing is a trope, like any other means of writing - and like any trope, it is a tool, and its USE is what decides if it is good or not, and just because it is shallow is not a reason to dismiss it entirely.
Archetypes are meta-narrative roles, and they allow characters to fit into a story and fulfill a role accordingly, like cogs in a machine. Yes, it is stock, and cliche, and predictable - but so long as the execution is done well, is enjoyable, especially in a video game where you take pro active control over these roles, it is not a BAD thing. Again, Star Fox is space OPERA - larger than life, lacking nuance and trading it in for theatrical melodrama, grandeur displays of action, romance (as in romanticized behaviors not romantic love although that can fit in too), and adventure. Big Heroes in a Big World facing Big Challenges.
Not to say Star Fox can’t be nuanced, but it certainly isn’t intended to be, and I think people who keep wishing for it to be are expecting the wrong things from this series (and those that dismiss it entirely are just flat out ignorant of the series’ style as a whole).
To be continued in Part 2.

"It sure has been a while since the Lylat Wars, hasn't it?" Falco spoke as Peppy saw a lone ship outside the Great Fox. "Oh Fox, Zizzi. I almost forgot. I received this message from Krystal." Peppy said as Krystal's image appeared on the communicator.
"Hi, Fox. I really appreciate what you and Zizzi both did for me." Krystal said. "And Fox, I'm just so sorry we never did get a chance to talk. I'm left with this one little thing to do." She said as the ship landed in the back hangar of the Great Fox.
"And that's to say "thank you." Krystal said to Fox as she entered the bridge. "Uh... okay. I mean, sure, no problem." Fox said nervously to Krystal. "You're not shy, are ya, Fox?" Slippy chuckled about Fox being in love with Krystal. Falco even nudges Fox. "My sensors indicate Fox's temperature is rising. Are you OK, Fox?" ROB 64 asked as everyone started to laugh. "I'm gonna be just fine." Fox said.
Zizzi was enjoying some time relaxing in Conton city after working on some missions recently. She was enjoying a nice walk around town at the moment as she looked at the sky. She had her hands in her pockets as she was wondering around.
The Supreme Kai of Time, Chronoa was walking out of the Time Nest while her best friend, Tokitoki was flying alongside her and they both see Zizzi wondering around Conton City.
"Oh Zizzi! There you are." Chronoa waved and greeted to the blue Majin Time Patroller.

Could you give me a rundown of all the canon Star Fox material I should look through?
I’m honestly not the best person you should be asking this but I’ll give what I know. Though I do suggest asking around the StarFox RP community just because they’ve been around for longer than I have (I joined last May-June but these guys have been around for years.) and might have better information/more correct information than I do. Here we go:
First and foremost: Star Fox canon is a fucking mess, I’ll tell you that right now.
Okay, so as far games go, 64 is a given. Then there is the canceled StarFox 2 which introduces Miyu, Fay, and Algy, but not much else.
Adventures and Assault can be looked at, but have broken bases tied to them, so some people don’t consider them canon. So whether or not they’re taken as such depends on who you are talking to.
Command is mostly has a negative reception (both gameplay and story wise) so outside of Marcus McCloud, and maybe Lucy and Amanda (again it really depends on who you are talking to) it’s not really taken as canon by the fandom. So I wouldn’t suggest looking into it unless you’re really curious.
3D is 64 with a new coat of paint, so it doesn’t really add anything to cannon.
Zero is pretty much a retcon of canon, but I believe Sauria is mentioned in the short prequel animation The Battle Begins so who knows whats in store for the future.
As far other material goes, there’s Farewell Beloved Falco, a comic that takes place after 64 but before Adventures. I personally haven’t read it because school, but my brother has and he thinks it should looked. IDK if that accounts for anything but, hey whatever.
While it’s not official, @selfish-swine does have a timeline of most of the stuff that has happened in the StarFox verse.
I thinks that’s it, but again I’m not the best person to be asking, so if anybody has anything they want to add/correct, go for it.
