Do I look like her? (A bit of Lore)
Tumblr media
Sometimes Stan looks at Barbara, specially her earrings and a small wave of sadness hits him when he's not paying attention. He thought she was a bit like his mom, until they talked about her experiences with the paranormal realm during her time investigating and working with Ford. Stan witnessed how Barb had to deal with sudden visions or messages from spirits, she even was possessed by some of them, including Stan's mom. That's a topic they promised they won't touch ever again. Stan cried for days in his sleep and Barb felt terrible after that. She always wanted her gift to be something that was helpful for other people, not to make them suffer.
Also, thanks for the question. Feel free to ask, I'd love to draw more Lore stuff about my AU

I wish gravity Falls fans would take more time to make Filbrick a three-dimensional character, rather than a one dimensional abusive father trope.
No, this is not a Filbrick Pines defense post.
He’s still a bad person for seeing Ford as a cash cow and for not supporting Stan in the ways he deserved to be.
While we don’t see much of Filbrick in any of the canon media, there are a little snippets that suggest he wasn’t pure evil.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite the fact that the gold chain was valuable enough that Filbrick was absolutely pissed about losing it, he ended up keeping it, with the little scribbled on “#1 Dad”.
This is the best indicator I have for the idea that he never truly hated Stan. He sure as hell wasn’t a good father to him or to his other children, but even after kicking him out, there was still some part of him that loved his son.
(I also honestly wish less fans would headcanon the idea that he’s also physically abusive because it just gives me that feeling that no one is taking emotional abuse seriously until there is physical abuse included.)
It’s very common for parents who use the “tough love” style of parenting to genuinely love their children, but abuse them at the same time.
He may have honestly thought he was doing Stan a favor by kicking him out and letting him sink or swim.
I can only imagine what he was feeling when he got the call that Stan was dead. Did he find out about Stan being homeless and friendless? Was there any guilt? Did he not attend the funeral because he didn’t care or because he felt like Stan wouldn’t want him there?

has anyone ever told you you look remarkably like Stanley tucci???? Bc you do a *lot*
Ha ha. I've been told a few times and it's REALLY flattering.
In fact, my wife made me take this photo when we went to Venice, Italy just so we could "do the Stanley Tucci photo"
Tumblr media
When people say it to me around my mom, she says "My son is WAY more handsome"... ha ha.
Thanks mom.

Does Jerk_Ford ever get defensive(or get especially annoying) because someone was idk bashing/talking bad about his twin (in the multiverse i mean, so one of the other fords maybe?)?
His dimensions Stanley i mean, you already mentioned he didn't care about the other multiverses Stanley's
In the multiverse:
"Man, you must be a really sh***y brother if you're letting a different Stanley live rent free in your head like this."
In Gravity Falls:
Jerk Ford isn't particularly protective over his Stanley, he knows he can handle himself. Stan's mostly a normal dude in this AU, but it's not like he was ever weak or a pushover.
However, Jerk Ford also knows Stan's willing to let bygones be bygones, in situations where Jerk Ford would have been petty. And he cranks that pettiness up to eleven.
Only God can help Gideon if he still took the deed to the shack (or cabin in this case) like he did in canon, and then Jerk Ford hears about it when he comes back:
"Hey, so I heard you kicked my brother (and the niblings, I guess) out of my home." "Sure is weird that all of the cars in your dads dealership rusted over and became unsellable overnight." "I heard your parents are divorcing because your mom caught your dad with another man. Funny how stuff like that happens."
Jerk Ford leans down and whispers this to Gideon when no one else is around:
"I f***ed your dad, shitlips."

What hits me some days is Stan and Ford have never processed the fact their father was emotionally (if physically) abusive. No way you can tell me that Filbrick Pines wasn't at least emotionally neglectful.
Stan outright says his dad never threw catch with him. He created the footbot to experience the act of throwing catch. Ford refused to build it for him. A lot of his emotional issues stem from his damaged relationship with his dad. It's absolutely tragic, but what's worse is that as horrible as Filbrick was to him, Stan doesn't really look back on his dad negatively.
He sees his dad as a tough bricklayer who tried to toughen him up in the world. It doesn't come to him that his dad wronged him as a parent, y'know. The man kicked him out of their own home and disowned him for an accident, and there's still a measure of respect in Stan's voice when he talks about his dad. You can hear it.
We usually say Ford was the golden child, and while that may be true, probably is, that doesn't mean anything positive for Ford either. I highly doubt Filbrick was an attentive parent to Ford. He didn't care about Ford's academic success.
Tumblr media
Until this. "I'm impressed." Ford's absolute delight implies this isn't a regular occurrence, despite the numerous awards he's won over the years. It takes a school principal telling him that Ford may earn potential millions for Filbrick to demonstrate any pride in his son.
I wouldn't be surprised if Stan got more attention from Filbrick because he was always in trouble and probably increased his troublemaking so his father could give him attention. Ford just stayed on the side as the smarter, quieter kid.
From The Book of Bill, we can infer that Stanford didn't return home frequently, if at all. Bill lies. We know he lies. He also spits truths, especially when he aims to hurt you. He picks at your insecurities. Your dad won't want you coming home if you don't have millions. The fact Bill weaponized this tells me that not giving his family money, not being the millionaire his father wanted him to be definitely sits on Ford.
Stan wanted money to be welcome back into the family.
Ford knew money was the cost for his dad to value him, but he prioritized his passion for research over that. Even so, the decision haunts him.
Crazy thing is Filbrick has probably been dead for 20+ years, and his abuse of his children lingers in them as 60 something year old men. They still don't realize it. They can't even contextualize that their father was abusive, and that hurts me. That's so sad.

Ford headcanon
Haha "head-canon" for his head.
Ford falls asleep when someone pats his head for too long. My brother does this and it's due to the fact that his mom used to do it when he was younger, and since I think it's cute, Ford gets that headcanon!
