Listening to: And in the Darkness, Hearts Aglow by Weyes Blood
#this was a transcendant listening experience#the instrumental arrangements were super lush and hypnotic#production took you to another plane truly#and lyrically she manages to balance brutal honesty with a surprising optimism#feels a bit top heavy and while they were pretty idk if im fully sold on the necessity of the instrumental tracks as of yet#but still a very cohesive and elegantly made album!#standouts for me were god turn me into a flower/children of the empire/hearts aglow#feeling a strong 8/10 maybe 8.5 if im feeling generous
