Today is definitely a #stabbymonday ⚔️ 🖤 ⚔️ I didn’t sleep very well, so I woke up with a MASSIVE headache. Which is fitting because it’s Monday and now I’m REALLY in the mood to #stabstabstab as my official/unofficial candle mascot is ordering me too. I also have to do laundry which doesn’t help the stabbing situation... ⚔️ 🖤 ⚔️ But #stabby feelings aside... If you had to choose a vampire to turn you, who would it be??? ☠️ Hands down, either Pam or Eric. Preferably Eric, but I’d chill with Pam for eternity too. I would NOT want Lestat to turn me. He seems a bit too high maintenance for me. Maybe Armand 🤔 but ONLY if Pam and Eric were unavailable. Also, I’d wait for them to decide to turn me, if timing was an issue. I mean, what’s a few years when we have forever?! ☠️ It’s nearly October and I couldn’t resist celebrating a little early! We’re vamping it up on today’s #makeoutmarrymurdermonday and throwing some wooden stakes around the coffin. Dangerous, I know 😂 come see which vampires live and which vampires get turned to dust. You’ve been kidnapped!!! The characters from your current read are on their way to rescue you. Who are they and what chance do you stand??? ⚔️ I just started #amberanddusk last night so depending on who rallies, I may have decent odds. I’d really love for Luca and Rina to come to my aid. They don’t have any legacies (power) to help but they seem a much better choice than asking either the Sinisters or Dexters for help 😬😬😬 watch @teenreadsdotcom for my upcoming review!!! ⚔️ Did I fall off the #stabbymonday train or what?! I know. But even ninjas need to lie low sometimes 😂 while this post isn’t quite my usual #stabnanigans post, I do think this trilogy is super appropriate to fit the #stabbybooks tag. I mean, they have swords on the spines!!! 🗡⚔️🗡 And this series has one of my all-time favorite quotes! “Isn’t that what stories do, make real things fake and fake things real?” 🥰 I love this gorgeous keychain that @fairyloot sent. Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who’s the #stabbiest one of all??? 🖤 Was that the question of the day? Maybe. Alright fine, tell me what classic you’d love to murder!!! 🖤 We all have that one classic that we HATED!!! Whether it was because we were forced to endure reading it, or had to analyze it to the point of stabbing our eyes out, or just plain hated it, we all have that horror story. For me, that classic is Moby Dick. I hated that book. It took me AGES to get through it. I was bored to tears and to this day, can barely remember most of it, since I’m pretty sure I blacked out and repressed the entire ordeal. It was that traumatic for me 😂 needless to say, I’d love to murder that book. Or enjoy some dark retellings. Or maybe not. I don’t know, I’m still fairly traumatized. 🖤 When it comes to dark retellings, generally the rule is the darker the better. Especially when the original is generally viewed as super cheerful. On today’s, #makeoutmarrymurdermonday I’ve taken some of my fave dark side classics to subject to the #stabnanigans mayhem. It is #stabbymonday and these #stabbybooks are the #stabbiest! Do you have a favorite retelling??? What fairy tale do you wish had more retellings??? 📚 It’s a very Monday Monday. It isn’t terrible, but everything just feels SO Monday today!!! It’s good that I’ve added some standby fun to my week, because these posts are probably the only things that make Monday bearable. 📚 Today, for #makeoutmarrymurdermonday I went with a dark retelling theme. Strings is a dystopian take on Pinocchio which, not only is unique and original, but really well done! I love the dystopian worlds that @davidestesbooks creates. And if you love deliciously dark and devious, meet @authorchristinahenry her writing gives my black heart all the quivers!!! I also really liked the unique spin in Hunted. There are a lot of beauty and the beast stories out there, so finding one that feels different always feels like a win! Come see who gets what on my blog! If you were transported into a video game, what game would you want to be in??? 🕹 It’s been so long since I’ve played any video games, but I remember I used to love Ratchet and Clank. Is that around anymore?! I wouldn’t mind roaming around the oasis from Ready Player One. That world sounded pretty cool. 🕹 Speaking of virtual worlds, this week our #stabnanigans are all taking place virtually!!! We all need an escape from Monday, and diving into a completely different reality is the most extreme way to escape, for sure!!! I tried to make a joystick with the books plugged in, but I’m not sure it’s obvious 🤔 anyway, these books manage to be #stabby in their own way! You’re packing for your trip to space. Would you rather get $5 for every song you sang in public OR $50 for every stranger you kiss??? ⚔️ It’s Friday!!!! I’ve actually had a pretty good week so I’m hoping this is the new trend! Singing in public has never really been an issue for me. Honestly, I feel like the world would be a better place if we all just burst out in song to express our feelings 😂 so I’m going with that option. $5 a song doesn’t seem like a bad deal. Would you rather your shirts be always two sizes too big or one size too small? ⚔️ It’s another hot, sunny, Monday and I woke up with a headache so I’m feeling extra stabby today!
