Screaming and shitting myself because in 4.07 when Eddie tells Steve how the two ladies came in right after him, Steve looks over at them and they literally showed Robin and Nancy walking closer and closer together and filmed it in a way that looks like they are holding hands

CALVIN HARRIS X RAG'N'BONE MAN - "LOVERS IN A PAST LIFE"
youtube
So 2000 and late...
[4.07]
Wayne Weizhen Zhang: [A deep][trance][scorcher] about [old love] by [Calvin Harris] & [Rag'n'Bone Man][!] [6]
Will Adams: Disappointment! After last year's fantastic duo of singles that breathed life into the trance revival, Calvin Harris slips back into Euro-filler, where the only notable features are a marble-mouthed vocalist and a way-too-loud guitar riff. [4]
TA Inskeep: Calvin Harris, ever the musical unoriginalist, sounds as if he's interpolating the likes of Darude here -- because if there's anything Harris knows, it's what's hot in dance/pop at this moment, and right now that's retro '90s dance and trance-pop. The oontz-oontz is pleasant enough, and Rag'n'Bone Man's overdone vocal "ache" fits it well. Neither terrible nor great, just as one would expect. [4]
Alfred Soto: It has the anonymity of a dozen Eurohouse tracks that Miami played around the clock 30 years ago: I can hear Real McCoy's "Another Night" in its verses. What I didn't expect was a guitar solo with "My Sweet Lord" in its rear view. [5]
Hannah Jocelyn: Why did Calvin Harris stick a rag (possibly also a bone) in his vocalist's mouth before recording? The guitar sounds more human than he does! [3]
Nortey Dowuona: Rag'n'Bone Man's lush and rough voice works for EDM since it's just smooth enough not to clash with drum programming. It feels light, excitable and lively when freed of the obligation to imitate R&B and blues -- both genres he clearly wishes to be a part of, yet lacks the finesse or power to. Here, he lives out his fantasies of being Teddy Pendergrass. His voice is too raspy and phlegmy to hold during the verses, but once the pre-chorus synths take hold, he soars, ebullient and lithe as the guitar line over the slimmed-down 1986 pop drums. By the end, he is absent because he's served his purpose. [4]
Dave Moore: The vocals set my teeth on edge: wannabe journeyman pap, like Blues Traveler with all the wrinkles ironed out. I might have found the wallpaper pop-house backing from Harris to be a reprieve, but instead it's just a tepid bath for Rag'n'Bone Man to soak in. You couldn't get me in an unplugged hot tub with either of these guys. [3]
Brad Shoup: On "Giant," Harris redirected Rag'n'Bone Man's gale-force soul through the doors of the Wigan Casino. There was also a hint of boogie, which "Lovers in a Past Life" broadens. I love how this is hectic but not urgent: wrapping itself around the bullcrap until it's drilled a hole in the floor. When Harris drops the twangy hook, it's three docks before Balearic: lovely and gauche, like a restaurant's wall-length photo transfer of a sunset. [7]
Katherine St. Asaph: "Miracle" : Y2K :: "Lovers in a Past Life" : the Y2K club that probably exists in deleted footage from The Beast. (To be fair to this song, I would be more OK with being Rag'n'Bone Man's lover in a past life than that of the guy from The Beast.) [3]
Taylor Alatorre: Just as I was readying a wisecrack about the repackaging of Eastern spiritualism to suit Western categories of romance, I take another listen and realize the song isn't even that: "we were lovers in a past life, for all we know." How do you take a title that hints at reincarnation and cosmically linked fates, and reduce it to a shouted pick-up line at the club? Analyzing EDM lyrics is the province of fools and YouTube essayists, but Rag'n'Bone Man is credited as a co-lead, and his voice is launched at us in the first second, ironically while slurring the word "patience." If there ever were a stage name that implied a commitment to the bit, you'd think it would be "Rag'n'Bone Man," but here he is unwilling to give full expression to the fantasy contained in the premise. His misaimed realism leaves us with little to chew on but Calvin Harris' ongoing Eurodance fixation, which is more subdued and weary-sounding here than it was on "Miracle." That one was turn-of-the-century nostalgia in the service of untrammeled exuberance; this is just another day in the Logic Pro mines. [4]
Ian Mathers: So anodyne and pro forma that I've played it about 5x more than the other songs today because I keep forgetting what it sounds like. Would not care (or even notice?) if it was playing on the radio or whatever, and cannot even vaguely imagine getting it stuck in my head, let alone seeking it out. [4]
Jacob Sujin Kuppermann: Something about this (maybe Andrew Watt's slide guitar solo?) makes me feel actually literally ill. If I heard this in the club I think I would die on the spot. [0]
Isabel Cole: Rag’n’Bone Man does a good job at something I’m not particularly into (soulful warbling), and Calvin Harris does an adequate job at something I’m easily suckered by (a perfectly passable beat occasionally punctuated by, e.g., swooshy laser noises or handclaps), so I guess this is… fine? [6]
Daniel Monteshenko: Rag'n'Bone Man has a powerful bleat that's all grit, and I've never believed a single lyric he's yowled. The streak continues here. "We were lovers in a past life," he pushes on the chorus, but there's no history, no mangled emotion, no wide-eyed wonder of what romance brings. They're just things he's saying. Calvin Harris is 6'5" and cruising through life. [4]

Star Trek: Lower Decks 4.07 "A Few Badgey's More"
* * * * * *
*
*
* * *
I didn’t care for this episode at all. It strained credibility and seemed pointless.
Therapy and gardening for computers? Why not just shut them down.? Maybe they're all considered sentient so that’d be unethical? I don’t know. It’s one thing for Data or the Doctor to gain sentience because they’re able to physically interact with their environment. But a computer? I know we’ve seen all-powerful computers and we’ve seen sentient holograms on VOY and Moriarty was sentient. I just have trouble buying the “we should rehabilitate the evil computer” premise.
And then Peanut Hamper, Agimus, and Badgey just see the light and reform? The redemption didn’t seem real to me. It seamed forced. Especially Badgey’s “Deus ex machina” resolution which, though it was reminiscent of ST: TMP, I thought was too easy. (Though I do have an amused thought of Starfleet officers panicking over their computers being taken over only to abruptly go “never mind”)
Another complaint—why did we only see 3 Bynars in the beginning? Don’t they normal work in pairs?
I’m really intrigued with the mystery of the transported crews. Use for slave labor perhaps?

When it comes to why we like him, a lot of it has to do with the fact that he's largely misinterpreted and demonized by the fandom...despite being arguably the most pivotal and complex character in the series. He and Brenner have been the crux of it all from the very start, and yet people refuse to give good-faith interpretation to his character. Hell, many refuse to consider his character at all.
Unfortunately, his complexity also means that there isn't exactly a condensed set of "key details" for understanding him. It's more of...a mosaic? Hundreds of little bits of information pieced together to make an image that won't be complete until ST5 is released.
If you want to understand his character better...you kind of have to assume you're being misled and work from there. Assume the face-value story isn't the real story (which really shouldn't be that big of an ask in the "look behind the curtain" show) and approach him in good faith.
So I mean really it all starts with viewing Henry objectively, and that's a big problem I think people run into. It's totally intentional, though. It's why the Duffers introduced Vecna before they introduced Henry: To make the revelation in TFS that he was a really good kid in a really shitty situation that much more of a twist for people who aren't like...painfully autistic about ST.
We're shown Mister Big Bad Vecna, and then we get a little blurb about sensitive child Henry who's definitely dead...and then it's the horrifying, gory child-massacre in 4.07, and then we're asked to sympathize with him. The audience is primed to make retroactive judgments about Young Henry based on Vecna and One...which you can't actually do. You can't judge a child based on an adult's actions.
If you watch the show objectively and give Young Henry a little grace as a person, you come away with a massively different view of his character, a view that's supported by TFS: Good boy, shit situation, perspective distortions fed to us by the Duffers intended to hide this fact and generate a plot twist.
Take, for example, the rabbit scene in 4.07. We're shown Nancy's POV and no context for the scene, framed by Vecna and the massacre at HNL. The easy route is to go "he turns out evil (supposedly) -> he must be doing this out of malice and enjoying it". If you look a little harder at the surrounding information, though, you'll see that a) Henry looks disturbed by the situation, b) that rabbit is snared by the leg, c) that rabbit shows up with a broken leg in a totally different area of the yard in the Creel teaser trailer, and d) that rabbit's manner of death (ripped open chest) is incongruent with Henry's killing style.
If you give him a little grace, it opens up the possibility of "Henry/One talks a lot about freeing things. It's possible Henry saw the rabbit caught in a snare, one that his father might have been using to bait the 'wildcat' in the area. The bone snapping sound we heard was the rabbit's leg as Henry tried to free it." Then, we see in TFS that Henry is openly and visibly distressed by the concept of killing animals, despite the Mindflayer having him do so. Henry Creel doesn't like killing animals, so what's going on with the rabbit? This opens up another possibility: "this may have been a case like Prancer's death in TFS, wherein Henry was made to do it, hence by he looks so disturbed".
Then go ahead and apply that to scenarios like the NINA chess scene, the tunnel/Soteria scene, and even so far as One's initial refusal to hurt El.
Take Soteria for example. If Henry's primary goal was to have it removed, he would have just asked. It's objectively stupid to gamble your freedom on "ough...maybe if I make enough puppy eyes Eleven (8 years old) will ask me why I'm not coming with her...and maybe if I just tell her about Soteria she'll just think to remove it herself...maybe..." It doesn't make sense. But because we're shown the massacre directly after, the audience assumes he was manipulating her that whole time.
If we give him a little grace, and consider a) Henry's weird 4th-wall breaking habits in the "never mind how it works" simulation machine and b) the fact that we don't know what would have happened if El had left him behind to go through the tunnel...we open up so many possibilities, like:
"Henry was trying to get her to break the simulation, possibly freeing them both"
"Henry wanted El to escape because he cared for her and wanted her to either be free as baby El or break the simulation to free herself as teen El"
"Henry wanted baby El to escape in hopes that the police would find her and send help"
And that's just a few. But because we're shown the massacre (which, by the way, very likely doesn't exist in the way we're shown it), the audience assumes his goal was manipulating El into freeing him...despite the lack of evidence.
Same goes for in the massacre itself and One's unwillingness to hurt El. We're shown the massacre, and we, like El, assume he's an imminent threat (a smart assumption in the moment, of course). But if his goal was to...I don't know. What do people these days claim about him? That he wanted to absorb all the kids abilities for himself because he's heartless and craves power? I know that was a common one back in the day. Whatever the case, it makes no sense.
If he was heartless, he wouldn't look so pained when Two is being punished (watch the scene, he's not being surveiled by anyone but the audience...so his reaction there is genuine). If he just wanted powers at his disposal, he would have killed El right after she took out Soteria. Once again, he's not that stupid. He tells her himself that she's powerful enough to frighten Brenner. He would have killed her when she still trusted him and wasn't primed to fight back. In fact, he wouldn't have waited for her to attack him. Her refusal didn't even trigger him into aggression. He just frowned at her. She lashed out at him, and then the fight started. (Even Vecna, despite all the uncertainty surrounding his identity, talks big game about killing El...but somehow he just never quite gets around to it, opting to just...talk at her, even when she's at her most defenseless.) To some degree, and no matter what theories you subscribe to, he loves her. Henry loves El. It's the underpinning of every interaction they have (something that's even supported in the VR, actually), whether it be affection for her or pain over being rejected by her the same as his family rejected him as a child.
Henry's exactly as Victor says he is: sensitive. He's fearful, inclined to run rather than fight, soft-hearted, easily wounded (emotionally), and uncomfortable with suffering. He craves love, is capable of loving, and is willing to love. He's also largely lonely and craves companionship.
AND ALL OF THIS IS SURFACE VIEW. THIS IS WITHOUT CONSIDERING THE EVERYTHING ELSE IRT TIME FUCKERY OR BRENNER-DEMOGORGON-MINDFLAYER-ALIEN WEIRDNESS 😭 Hence why my friends and I are constantly going insane shaking sobbing vomiting begging the Duffers for answers about his story.
So, tl;dr: If you want to understand Henry better, you have to let go of this image of him as a villain and conceptualize him as a victim. You have to view what he does in good faith and keep an open mind. And if you want to make comprehensive theories regarding him...you also have to remember like 600 plot details all at the same time...while understanding that you're probably missing a fair amount of information in general. Unfortunately.
Also: A lot of us also like him because he is us. Awkward, nervous, loving, hungry for love. Sensitive. Neurodivergent (specifically autism/ADHD). Heavily queer-coded. Rejected by family and society alike. Easily scapegoated, particularly when we stand up for ourselves. Abused, in some way, shape, or form.
Okay question -to the Henry Creel people of this fandom- where would I start-?? If I wanted to perhaps understand his character a bit better, is there like notes of any important information I would need to properly understand TFS/his story? I physically can’t go see it but I still wanna know what happens, AND I REALLY WANNA KNOW WHY YOU GUYS LIKE HIM SM
I’m really interested in the parallels between his story and what’s going on in Hawkins now (Ik they’re technically the same story but I don’t know a better way to put this) as well as the parallels between him and Will, just from what we’ve seen in the show they’re dynamic has always interested me
I feel like if I do want to make theories about the main plot of the show I need to have all the information, and honestly I really really need new input
And if there’s not anything like that- that’s perfectly okay! I’ll just go read Henry’s Glocks theories/anaylsis and try to piece it together as I go lmao

“Right!” Rudyard snapped, shoving his mug into Sin’s bewildered hands and reaching for his tie. “Honestly, I have to do everything myself around here!”
“Mister Funn—!” Agatha exclaimed—doing little to conceal her shock or her glee at this turn of events.
“You can keep your eyes to yourself, Ms. Doyle,” Rudyard griped, tugging his tie loose and shedding it briskly, along with his jacket. He deposited both into Agatha’s arms before starting in on his shirt buttons and turning his attention to the stunned photographer. “Now, look here—pick up your jaw and tell me where you’re going to point that thing, I haven’t got all day.”
In which Kipling shows us his buns.
Missing scene from 4.07: In The Buff

I finished this for an audience of One(1) person but the rest of you can have it too I guess -- Rudyard’s nude calendar shoot feat. a gently implied rarepair that nobody asked for! (Sinyard, I’m coining the ship name now)

A Gilmore game to make quarantine more enjoyable! Five favorite episodes, five favorite characters (in order if you can!), five least favorite characters, three favorite romantic relationships, three least favorite romantic relationships, three favorite platonic relationships, three unpopular opinions that none of us are allowed to mock ;) I'm sending this to three Gilmore Girls fans and hope you'll send it to a few GG fans you know as well! (You can send it to me too, lol)
(after actively making sure i don’t just pick jess episodes, because i swear i don’t just love gg for him, i swear) five favorite episodes:
[1.13] concert interruptus
[2.21] lorelai’s graduation day
[3.07] they shoot gilmores, don’t they?
[4.02] the lorelai’s first day at yale
[4.07] the festival of living art
*somehow in trying not to pick all of seasons two and three, i have two from four. and none from seven, what. a. shock.
five favorite characters (in order if you can):
jess mariano (my boy. my love.)
sookie st. james (remember when they thought a revival would work without you? what laughs. what memories.)
paris geller (an icon.)
emily gilmore (the goat.)
michel gerard (michel deserved actual story on this show, okay? kirk got story. kirk got to be two different characters. michel was iconic when he got nothing to do, so imagine if he had done.)
five least favorite characters:
logan huntzberger (y’all already knooow.)
dean forester (y’all already knooooow.)
christopher hayden (y’all already knooooooooooow.)
mitchum huntzberger (basically get this family away from me.)
marty just sprang to mind jdshfkjdh
*special mention to our main characters lorelai and rory gilmore, who belong in both the favorite and least favorite categories, respectively. how do they do it? a true miracle. the power they have.*
three favorite romantic relationships:
rory and jess (i will never forgive this show for doing the classic “now that they’re together, we’ll stop showing their relationship, completely, so that we can warp it however we need to in order to end it”) (”jess never calls rory”) (get out of here with that noise)
emily and richard gilmore (”i demand to go first”) (catch me weeping)
lane kim and dave rygalski (i’ve never gotten through a single episode of the oc, so i’m fuming lol)
three least favorite romantic relationships:
rory and logan (excruciating in every way) (i stand by the cereal and the valentines trip with luke and lorelai being the only two acceptable moments between these two and everything else was trash.)
rory and dean (we stan emotional abuse, the best, totally not bad.)
lorelai and christopher (i don’t even need to say anything.)
three favorite platonic relationships:
rory and paris (one of the best showings of enemies to bffl’s in television history)
luke danes and jess (remember when jess wasn’t at luke’s wedding? hahahahahah wasn’t that just...............................hilarious.)
lane and mrs. kim (what a journey, when they were managing to be given screen time)
three unpopular opinions that none of us are allowed to mock:
(this is difficult, because [at least among what i’ve seen] i don’t think my opinions are that crazy)
ummmm luke and lorelai are a terrible together?
gilmore girls: a year in the life, was a masterpiece?
just kidding.
it was horrible.
it ruined the whole show for me, for a long time.
ummmmm liz danes is not a funny cooky awesome woman, she’s the drunk who abandoned her child and then showed up as the funny cooky awesome woman. if we’d actually seen growth, it might’ve been okay. but, she just shows up and they expected us to just pretend she’d done nothing wrong. you don’t just call your mom by her first name for no reason. and it was exhausting that people looked at jess, after she showed up, even more like he was being ungrateful. she didn’t even want to see him on christmas. but, hey, she’s got some earrings and a wacky fiance, so how fun!
Lindsay Lister was lovely and, even before Dean and Rory auditioned for Cheaters, she deserved so much better than everything she got.

In Short: I Was Right About The Released Script and The Filmed Monologue.
In this post here about the discrepancies in the released 4.07 script as compared to the version of One's monologue that we see on screen, I mentioned a sneaking suspicion that they might be two halves of a whole monologue.
So, I spliced the 4.07 transcript and 4.07 script together:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For clarity's sake, I color-coded it. Red-colored lines are ones that only appear in the filmed monologue. Blue-colored lines are ones that only appear in the released script. Words in parentheses indicate a swap in wording/phrasing. Words not in parentheses are additional words. Everything is left in order of appearance, i.e. none of the lines have been shifted for clarity. The texts are one-to-one merged.
As we can see, they splice together very nicely...especially in places where we were missing subjects, conclusions, topic introductions, and/or topic re-introductions in the individual texts.
For example:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the script, the conculsion/Victor's fate is not mentioned. In the transcript, Victor is never re-introduced to El as the subject of his own arrest.
In the merged version, it becomes:
Tumblr media
Victor is re-introduced to El, and his fate is told.
Or here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Brenner's goals with One is introduced in the script, but the part about "fixing" comes out of nowhere, since Virginia's goal of fixing Henry is never brought up. "A doctor not interested in fixing" implies that someone had been interested in fixing him. No such case is mentioned. Meanwhile, Virginia's goal of fixing Henry is mentioned in the transcript, but Brenner's "studying" part comes out of nowhere. "He did not just want to study me" implies that being studied was mentioned previously. It was not.
In the merged version, it becomes:
Tumblr media
Fixing? Mentioned by discussion of Virginia. Studying? Mentioned via Brenner's introduction.
And even within that section:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The transcript initially mentions why Henward wants to escape/break free, but it veers away from it with Victor's arrest...only to revisit it out of nowhere directly after. The script never introduces breaking free/why Henward wanted to escape, but it does go from Victor's knowledge (or lack thereof) directly into a clear reintroduction of his need to escape.
In the merged version, it becomes:
Tumblr media
Reason for escaping? Given. Escaping? Clear reintroduction to the topic.
The two texts fill in each other's gaps, just as I suspected.
Now I won't say that there aren't some wonky bits, particularly in the "My naive father...for their sins" and "The more I practiced...take the next step" sections.
These exist entirely separately, and they overlay the same memory: Victor's cradle vision and Henward in the red sweater sitting in the attic.
Tumblr media
This becomes interesting when we consider that this ^ isn't Nancy's POV. Nancy is downstairs watching Victor...
Tumblr media
...and this view is peeking over some boxes in the attic, supposedly seeing Henward while he's enacting said vision:
Tumblr media
It, like this scene:
Tumblr media
Is from a bizarre outsider POV, one that's about Henward-height.
So my thoughts on that wonky-ness amount to this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I would speculate that the two lines don't feed into each other, but may instead be meant to occur simultaneously from different people (whether that be via a time loop or via timelines...I can't say for certain).
Either way, the texts do line up as two halves of a whole.

SO THERE’S NO SHORTAGE OF THINGS TO UNPACK ABOUT MR. ROBOT 4.07 but I wanted to talk about the paintings (prints) in Krista’s apartment.
These are works by Hilma af Klint, a Swedish artist and mystic. In her lifetime, she was known primarily as a botanical illustrator, but while she was doing that, she was also part of a group of women who called themselves “The Five” (De Fem). They were heavily into the spiritualism of the late 19th/early 20th century, particularly Helena Blavatsky’s Theosophy, and their activities included seances and communion with beings they called “The High Masters”.
af Klint brought this and her scientific reading and background into a series of paintings for “The Temple”, and she believed her direction for this came from the High Masters. She created 193 paintings for the The Temple, and spent the rest of her life after that diving further into abstract art. When she died at 82 in 1944, she left her paintings to her nephew, with the strict instructions that they not be shown until 20 years after her death. Since their first public exhibition, her work has been growing in renown, and the Guggenheim hosted a massive retrospective of her work in 2019.
The first of the two works in Krista’s apartment, in the living/dining room where the action begins, is one of the “altarpiece” paintings, specifically Group X, No. 1, Altarpiece. The second, in the room where The Shit Really Hits the Fan in Act Four, is from the “SUW/UW series”, and is called Group IX/UW, The Dove, No. 12. Both date from 1915.
Now I’m not an art history person, so all I have to go on is the exhibition catalogue, Hilma af Klint: Paintings for the Future, edited by Tracey Bashkoff.
Here’s what Bashkoff writes about the Altarpiece paintings:
The works appear to relate to Theosophy’s version of evolutionary theory, in which all the cosmos is undergoing an evolutionary process. Evolution can occur in two directions, elevating from the physical to the spiritual and descending from a higher level of being to the limitations of the material world.
On the Dove paintings:
The imagery in The Dove relies on Christian symbols for peace and unity, figuratively and abstractly, in combination with the allegory of St. George and the Dragon, and the signs of the Zodiac.
You’ll notice that The Dove No. 12 includes the zodiac symbols for (clockwise from top right) Pisces, Gemini, Taurus, and Aries. I will let someone better versed than me in zodiac symbology pick that one apart.
So. It’s not exactly subtle of Esmail to have picked a couple of deeply spiritually-imbued artworks reflecting themes of evolution, peace, etc. (and  dragon-slaying!), but at least he did so with an artist who is really quite extraordinary, and whose work deserves to be much better known.

St. Louis Cardinals-Minnesota Twins Series Preview
8.23.24-Andre Pallante RHP (5-6) 4.07 ERA Vs. David Festa RHP (2-2) 4.96 ERA
8.24.24-Sonny Gray RHP (11-8) 3.91 ERA Vs. Pablo Lopez RHP (11-8) 4.47 ERA
8.25.24-Erick Fedde RHP (8-7) 3.39 ERA Vs. Zebby Matthews RHP (1-1) 3.60 ERA
The Cardinals At A Glance- The Cardinals have clung to the .500 mark seemingly all season long. They are sliding a bit with a (7-12) record in August and sit five games out of the last Wild-Card spot. St. Louis is in a weird spot because they have so many veterans. Paul Goldschmidt will be a free agent at the end of the season and they signed Lance Lynn, Kyle Gibson, and Sonny Gray before this season. Alec Burleson is having a breakout season with twenty-one homers and seventy RBI. Masyn Winn in the new shortstop with a .278 average. Paul Goldchmidt and Nolan Gorman have nineteen homers each. Lance Lynn has a knee issue and threw live batting practice on Monday. Steven Matz is slowly working his way back from a back injury. The Cardinals starting staff has a 4.50 ERA, which is 23rd in baseball. Kyle Gibson has been good with a 4.22 ERA, Sonny Gray has a 3.91 ERA, and Miles Mikolas has been knocked around a bit. Ryan Helsley has locked down thirty-nine saves. JoJo Romero has been good from the left side of the bullpen, while Andrew Kittredge and Shawn Armstrong have been good righty options.
The Twins At A Glance- The Twins had a solid road trip and went (4-3) in Arlington and San Diego. The team returns home for a huge nine-game homestand against decent teams. The Cardinals, Braves, and Blue Jays are good, but not great. Kody Funderburk has starting a throwing program and could begin a rehab assignment this weekend. Brooks Lee worked out in St. Paul on Thursday and might go on a rehab assignment. Alex Kirilloff was set to go on a rehab assignment then sprained his ankle doing drills. Carlos Correa is still having issues with his heel. Byron Buxton could be close to returning this weekend. Christian Vazquez is hitting .357 with three homers and eleven RBI since the break. Matt Wallner and Royce Lewis each have hit five homers since the All-Star Break. Griffin Jax owns a 1.38 ERA in his past thirteen innings. Cole Sands has been just as good with a 1.89 ERA over his last 13 2/3 innings.
What To Watch For- The Twins are (23-20) all-time against the Cardinals. The Twins took two of three from the Cardinals in St. Louis last August. The Cardinals haven't been to Target Field since 2020 for the Twins home opener in the shortened season. These two teams will open up next season in St. Louis. Andre Pallante has thrown one scoreless inning against the Twins in his career. Sonny Gray is (2-4) with a 5.05 ERA in eight starts against the Twins. He has a 2.83 ERA in 35 starts at Target Field. Pablo Lopez is (2-2) with a 2.84 ERA in five starts against the Cardinals. Erick Fedde is (1-0) with an 0.82 ERA in two starts against the Twins. David Festa and Zebby Matthews have never faced the Cardinals. It should be a nice weekend for a series against a reeling Cardinals team.
