All The Things I Did (8): That Girl Is Going, Going, Gone
a/n: ok a bit of a different chapter! this is more cass than john & cass until we get to the main event. i PROMISE the next chapter will pick up right where this one left off (don't be mad, be excited!). lots of warnings for this chapter and hopefully you guys don't change your love for her after reading about berlin. please let me know your thoughts & send in any interlude (aka novels) requests. always open. love ya xoxo
warnings: murder, blood, death of minor character, smut
Cass looked at Will with horror as he opened a black briefcase and set it on the ground of the alley way. It looked a lot like a gun.
“Will, no one said anything about an assassination.” She had shot a gun before. Had been shot by a gun before. But she had never pointed one at another human being and pulled the trigger.
“Cass, you’ve got this. You stay steady and you’ll be fine.” She rolled her eyes. Of course he would think it was so simple. He wasn’t the one expected to pull the trigger. To take a life.
“Walk me through the plan again.”
“Dressler comes through this main drag on the way to his country estate. We track him to the edge of the woods where your asset has placed an obstacle for the car and when he gets out, you take the shot.” Cass knew it wasn’t going to go according to plan because things like this never did. Because Dressler had been on OSS’ target list for almost a year and they were the third pairing of agents to try and accomplish this task. “You scored better than me on the range. Don’t think for a second you aren’t the right choice for this.”
“And we avoid the fatal flaws from previous iterations. Don’t approach the vehicle. Maintain surveillance detection tradecraft. Make the exfil window.”
“Thats kind of a big one, isn’t it?” he smiled. She was too busy testing the weight of the weapon in her hand to notice. “I meant it when I said I’d get you back home to him.”
“You got someone to get home to?” Will shrugged.
“Thought I did. Then I got a letter last week…it’s for the best. Loving someone in this line of work isn’t for everyone.” Cass gently palmed his cheek.
“Then we’ll get you home to find someone who will make it work.” Find someone who would love those doubts right out his head the way John had for her. Find someone who’s passion for their work matched in kind. Find someone who would help him clean the blood off his hands when the war was over.
----
It was Sunday and the roads were filled with people going to and from church. Cass was in a white dress, Will in a suit, as they each smoked a cigarette while they waited for mass to let out.
“When did you start smoking?”
“I didn’t. Still don’t really drink either.” She dropped the cigarette onto the sidewalk and pressed it beneath her foot. “They take away your control over yourself. I don’t like the way they make me feel.” But she thinks she was learning to like the smell of smoke on the collar of John’s jacket. The bitter whiskey on his lips when he kissed her. The way his face flushed and his curls pressed to his forehead and his hands wandered after a night of them both. The doors opened and people began to exit the church.
“I’ll go get the car,” Will said, slipping into German with ease. Cass nodded and removed a compact from her purse. She pressed the powder to her nose as she caught sight of Dressler over her right shoulder. She counted two men who looked like SS hovering around him for protection. They escorted him to a waiting Mercedes, Will pulling up to her a few minutes after their departure. “Let’s go kill some Nazis.”
They took the occasional turn to ensure no one was following them, maintaining a safe distance from the target who was following the route from church to his compound outside of Berlin just the way they had mapped it.
“Final weapons check.” Cass pulled the chamber to ensure a bullet was loaded before releasing it back into place. “Will…if something goes wrong, we abort and get to the airfield. We don’t need to force this.”
“Copy, Lieutenant,” he smirked. “But it would be nice to be the one to knock Dressler off the list.”
“I agree but-” Her hands flew to brace against the dashboard as he slammed on the brakes. An overturned horse cart was blocking the Mercedes path and the car sat still as the occupants determined what to do.
“Come on,” Cass whispered, “Get out of the goddamn car.” The door opened and one of the SS officers got out and walked towards the cart.
“Close protection remains,” Will muttered. When the second SS officer exited, Cass began to get nervous. He walked towards her side of the car and she rolled the window down with a smile.
“Good morning, sir. Is there a problem with the road ahead?” The pistol was hidden in the fold of her skirt, her thigh acutely aware of the metal.
“Yes. We’ll need you to turn around so we can go back the way we came.” She knew there was no other way to get to the compound. Knew they were really just clearing them from the area. She opened her mouth but the words were silenced as Will whistled. The third door was opening.
Will pushed the car into reverse and rolled over the foot of the man by her door. He dropped quickly with a yell. It took one second for her to lean her body out the window. One second for Dressler to look in her direction. One second for her to shut down her humanity, inhale, exhale and pull. Between his eyes and he was gone. A man who only answered to Himmler. It was automatic for her to move the gun to the man on the ground. He had seen their faces. Looked her in the eyes and stared at her legs. A loose end and he was gone, too.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck!” she screamed as Will took them backwards down the road as quickly as he could. The second SS officer in the car and chasing after them as quickly as he could. “What did I just do?”
“What you had to, Cass!” They both ducked as the first bullet hit the front of the car. “Hang on.” The car pulled sharply to the left as they raced through a field, another bullet pinging off the exterior of the car.
“Two minutes until takeoff.” Her watch seemed to be ticking faster than usual. As if the universe was trying to close the gap between here and home. The Mercedes gained ground and nudged the back of their car, spinning them in a circle Will couldn’t regain control of.
“Run!” They could see the clearing in the not too far off distance. Her knees hit the ground before she pushed herself up with urgency and took off at a sprint. She heard the consistent popping of a gun behind her but she kept running.
Cass collapsed on the open hatch of the low profile plane and let herself slide down as it closed, Will stumbling in right behind her.
“Do you think we did it?” she asked after they had settled for a moment. “Will?” She turned her head and noticed he looked a little pale. His breathing was labored. He turned and looked at her and he was afraid. She repeated his name again before she noticed his hand pressed to his side and the red blooming out from underneath it.
“You guys good back there? Going to be bumpy if you can hold onto something.”
“Where’s your medical supplies? My partner’s been shot!” Cass pressed her hands with all her strength to the wound. She grunted as they took a tight turn and they slid to the wall of the plane.
“Orange bag!” She grabbed it, the zipper slipping through her bloody fingers. Cass grabbed as much gauze as she could and the scissors, cutting Will’s shirt to get a better sense of what she was dealing with.
“I’ve got to look and see if there’s an exit wound.” She rolled him slightly as he yelled in pain. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” she said but there was a hint of relief to her tone as she found a matching wound in his back. She took a deep breath as she cleared the blood in search of the bullet’s entrance. Once she found it, she held the gauze to it and tried not to wince as his breathing sounded like it was growing ragged.
“Cass…” The gauze in her hands turned red, a pool of blood seeping out from underneath him. The wound wasn’t clotting and the rudimentary kit had no platelets to help.
“You’ve got to hang on. Save your strength. We’ll be back before you know it.” An hour and she was out of gauze, cutting fabric from her skirt in its place. Wil was sweating. Paler. Taking a long time to inhale after he exhaled. “Do you remember back in school when I almost quit? You stopped me on my way to the Colonel’s office and told me the OSS needed me, that Europe needed a free spirit to bring back their freedom. Now, I need you to do exactly what you told me. Pull up your boot straps, keep your head in the game and fight through it.” His hand weakly rested on top of hers.
“You…did…”
“I’m right here. We can talk about it all when we get back.” A tear rolled down his cheek and a matching one rolled down hers. “Don’t do this, Will. Please.” His hand dropped to his side and there was no longer light behind his eyes.
“Lieutenant, we’ve got wheels down in 30!”
“Tell the control tower that Captain Foster is…” Her hands were on his chest as she tried compressions. Her tears were coming quicker now. She watched them drop on his face and he didn’t react. All she could hear was her own heartbeat and the silence of Will’s as she pressed and pressed and pressed and nothing happened. She didn’t notice the plane landing. The pilot calling her name. She kept pressing and pressing and pressing.
“Cassandra.” Harding’s use of her full name pierced through the fog. It was soft and familiar and safe. “Cassandra, you have to let him go. Let the doctors look at him.” She couldn’t even imagine how she looked. His blood all over her arms and clothes. Her dress ripped from when she was trying to make bandages. Tears dried to her face and snot dripping from her nose.
“Where’s John?” she asked. That was who she wanted to see. The only person who could offer her comfort in this moment.
“He’s probably halfway to Norway by now taking a second strike at those submarine pens for you.” She choked out a laugh. No doubt John would be willing to do an extreme act of commitment such as this. “Come with me to get some water? Maybe some food?”
“That sounds good.” He offered her his arm and she gripped it like without him she would collapse, letting him escort her out of the plane. There was a group of people waiting and watching. The mechanics to make sure Cass was alive and well. The medical team. Extraneous personal who just wanted a glimpse of the covert American intelligence officers.
Harding led her to the mess hall, the orderlies freezing at the sight of her before scurrying to set the table. He pulled a chair out for her and she sat and avoided his gaze when he took the chair across from her.
“Were you successful?”
“Yes, sir,” she croaked out as the food and drink was placed in front of her. Harding waved off the second plate they brought. “I apologize I wasn’t here to give the briefing this morning. I should have been available for their questions.”
“You can’t be in two places at once, Lieutenant. You were where you were needed most.” She nibbled on a bite of eggs and chased it with a few gulps of water. “They’re going to want you to talk to a shrink.”
“I’ve talked to them before. Know how to play the game.” He reached for her hand across the table and she offered it, wanting the reminder she was here and she was okay. He looked like he was inspecting the blood dried into her knuckles and caked under her nails. “He was a friend. An old friend.” The loss would sting for awhile.
“The world is a better place for the task you two accomplished.” Cass took a shaky breath and blinked back tears.
“Then why do I feel so awful?” Harding knew the general feeling of taking a life. He had dropped bombs and shot guns and watched the havoc with a smile. But he had never looked another human in the eye and watched the life leave it. “Why do I feel like I did something wrong?”
“War is not natural. The role we play in it won’t be either.” She nodded with understanding. “You feeling up to interrogation?” They would want a look at her before she was able to change and clean the blood from her skin.
“I don’t have a choice.” She hoped it would be the first and the last time she had to relive the traumatic moments this day had brought. “Thank you, Colonel.” He indulged himself for a moment. Held her chin between his thumb and pointer finger. Looked into the eyes that he had found himself learning to love.
“You should get going,” he whispered. Before I say something I might regret.
----
“How you doing, Bubbles?” The medical wing was the first stop John had made after landing. He hadn’t been able to find Mary to ask for an update on Cass and Colonel Harding had disappeared almost as soon as the last B-17 touched down.
“Never better, sir.” His eyes were flickering to the door at the end of the wing. A private exam room. Crosby was also oddly quiet. They had seen Lieutenant Cooper be escorted back there almost an hour ago and she hadn’t emerged. They hoped nothing was wrong because they didn’t want to be in the radius of John Egan when he found out.
“That’s good. I was actually looking for you, Crosby.” John paused as both men continued to shift in their seats. “They not keep you comfortable?”
“No, sir, I mean yes, sir, I’m fine it’s just-” Bubbles stopped as the entrance opened and he recognized the secretary from Lieutenant Cooper’s office. She looked vaguely horrified to see John Egan.
“Mary! I stopped by but you weren’t there. Any word from Spook?” Bubbles, Crosby and Mary all looked at each other. “Clearly, I’m on the outside of whatever this is.” John’s finger twitched as his side. He wasn’t liking the feeling in his chest.
“Colonel Harding didn’t talk to you, sir?” He liked that even less.
“No. Mary, whatever is going on, I need to know right now.” Her gaze dropped to her feet.
“I can’t, sir. It’s need to know at this moment in time.” His chest heaved at her words.
“You can’t?” He spun back towards the airmen. “Then why do you two look like you know something?” Why wasn’t anyone telling him anything? What happened that they were keeping from him.
“Sir, we don’t really,” Crosby started.
“Someone just please fucking tell me if I need to start grieving.”
“Can’t get rid of me that easily, Major.” She is trying so hard to smile because John is who she has been wanting all day. But he turns to look at her and he looks so relieved and she hasn’t felt safe enough to show emotion since she left his arms a few days ago.
“Cass…is that…blood?” He walks towards her slowly. They had let her wash the blood from her arms and face but there was still some dried into her hairline and soaked into her dress. She nods as a sob rips from her throat. “Oh, Cass, baby.” She collapses into his chest as soon as he is near enough.
“Will’s dead,” she sobs into his neck, “I tried so hard. I wasn’t good enough.” His arms were iron around her, the only thing keeping her standing.
“I know you did everything you could.” He kissed the side of her head and stroked his hand down her hair. “I’m sorry you lost a friend today, my love.” The word felt like a slap across her face. She was so undeserving of his love after what she had done. She had taken the life of another, twice over. She could scrub at her skin but the blood would never wash away.
“Will you take me back to my room?” He slid an arm under her knees and lifted her so she was in his arms, her arms around his neck and her head resting on his shoulder. “Don’t let them take me away from you. Please.”
He noticed the stares and whispers that followed as they made their way to her billet. He didn’t put her down until they were safely behind her closed door.
“We should get you cleaned up,” he noted as she sat on her bed and looked through her wardrobe for her shower kit.
“How was Norway?” she asked quietly.
“Successful. Had to leave Biddick in Scotland but he’ll be fine.” He found the basket of her toiletries and a towel.
“Good. I’m glad you guys were able to use the information.” She smiled. “I’m sure Curt will find his way around quite well.”
“I can stand outside the door. Make sure no one bothers you.” John was offering her a few moments to shed her armor and embrace the emotions that were still heavy in her chest.
“Outside the door will be too far.” Cass stood and pressed her forehead against his lips, asking for the strength of his touch during this weak moment.
“I don’t want to be intrusive.”
“I’m asking you to take a shower with me. That’s all.” They had seen each other naked. Shared a bed. Expressed the very real feelings between them. What was one more facet of domesticity gracing their lives?
Cass undressed and stepped under the water and watched it run red down the drain until John’s chest pressed against her back. He wrapped one arm around the front of her chest and the other around her hips. She rested her own hands on top of his.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Her head turned so she could look at him.
“They sent me there to kill someone,” she whispered. John stiffens for an instant before he recovers. “I killed him and his bodyguard because he saw my face.” She hates that in the moment she had been thinking about the fact that they would remove her from the field if they thought her identity had been compromised. That she wouldn’t be able to do the job the way it was meant to be done anymore.
“It’s okay you don’t feel good about it.” Cass smiled. He was the only one so far to not try and convince her that she had done the right thing. That she had made the world a better place and shouldn’t let the specifics bother her. This was why she had sought him out in the first place. This was why she loved him.
“They’re grounding me. Desk duty until further notice.” He reached for the shampoo and lathered it between his hands. She titled her head back into his waiting hands and let his fingers work through the roots of her hair, the last of the red going down the drain, her eyes closing as he soothed the ache away.
“Bet you’re as happy about that as I was being Air Exec.”
“Touche.” Next was a bar of soap, Cass turning around and John dragging it across her skin and focusing on the few spots of dried blood she hadn’t been able to scrub off in her haste earlier. He seemed to get lost in a trance, circling her breasts a few extra times and moving it slowly down her torso before letting it slip into the wispy curls between her legs. “So much for just a shower,” she whispered as her legs spread a little further.
“I’ll stop, Cass.” He moved his hand and she grabbed his wrist and moved it right back.
“Make me forget, John.” The soap was discarded out the shower stall, his fingers dipping between her folds and relishing in her warmth. Her forehead dropped to his chest as she shuddered.
“Remember what you said to me before you left?” His fingertip circled her clit and she nodded. “Said I could show you how much I love you when I get back.”
“I did say that,” she gasped as he slipped a finger into her and the heel of his hand rubbed her bundle of nerves with every thrust. “Oh, I like that a lot.”
“I want to show you, Cass, show you properly.” She brought him in for a kiss as she felt herself getting closer and closer. “Take my time and love you the way you deserve.”
“I want that too, John, please.” Her hips rocked at the same gentle rhythm of his hand as she chased the feeling stirring low in her belly.
“I missed this sight, baby.” He had her like this once before, had only been separated from her a few days, but it had been too long. “Love having you like this.”
“John, I-” The words caught in her mouth as he hit that sweet spot with a curl of his fingers and stars danced across her vision. He held her as her knees buckled, his fingers not stopping, as she kissed him to try and keep quiet if only slightly. “Take me to bed. Take me to bed and make love to me, John Egan.”
He would be happy to oblige.

Day 5 - The Starving Artist
The Starving Artist
Eloise always wanted to go to Paris, and she did. She had struggled, hitchhiking along the French countryside with little to no money until she finally got there. There was only one problem though; it’s 1944 and the Nazis still control the country.
Her once beautiful homeland was no longer this haven of artistic freedom she believed it to be. Eloise was 18 now, living on the city streets of a capital under occupation. Her once hip and trendy clothes, now dirty and rotting away as this homeless artist would earn little money and spend it all on bread and wine.
How she earned money was simple, She’d work for the revolutionaries. When she came to town, the Nazis burned her paintings, citing that she made people look “Too Jewish” and that her paintings had “Anti-Patriotic Ideas”. What a load! Eloise thought, This is my country, and paintings kicking out our invaders are patriotic!
She threw an empty wine bottle onto the ground next to her, shattering it into tiny pieces as she just sat there, scowling at it. Eloise stood up and wiped the shards of glass off her once bright red coat as if that’d make it any more clean.
As she walked down the city streets, she tilted her beret down, not wanting to make eye contact with the drunk Nazi soldiers just looking for a woman to harass. Far too many of them out this time of night. She huffed her coat around her to appear even more masculine as she slipped right into the dingey hospice clinic.
Walking inside, she immediately ran into Céline, A nurse who was also a revolutionary. She’d look gorgeous if not for the miscellaneous bloodstains across her face. Her sharp, slender features were covered in a dirty and stained nurse’s garb.
Céline had baggy, bloodshot eyes and a cigarette in her mouth. She was desensitized to the horrors of war and calmly blew a puff of smoke in Eloise’s face as she walked inside. “Took you long enough.”
Eloise grumbled, “The SS were giving me looks, I had to be careful.”
Céline scoffed, “Whatever, just take your usual spot. You know what to do.”
Eloise nodded, still clutching onto the briefcase she hitchhiked all the way to Paris with as she walked into the patient’s room in the corner of the building.
Inside the room was an unconscious old woman lying in her bed. To think, she might have been beautiful once. Another victim of the tyranny of the passage of time, among other tyranny’s.
Eloise sat down on a stool beside the bed, immediately opening up her briefcase and taking out some pencils and paper to sketch her out. She studied every contour of the wrinkled old woman, her frumpy body, her pale hair and even paler skin. She spent an hour sketching every little detail about the woman in the bed, thinking to herself, Can I even paint the horrors of war anymore? Will anyone even feel the pain and disgust of seeing someone in this shape? I bet some of those monsters would think it’s beautiful, the worst of the bunch even getting off to it.
Céline briefly walked into the room, handing Eloise a note, staring dead into her eyes.
Elosie nodded without a word, showing Céline that she understands. After all, she’s done this many times before. She does her art at the clinic, receives a note from Céline, hides it in an empty wine bottle and leaves it at a designated drop zone for another resistance member. It was a lot of planning and hassle to move information around without the Nazis knowing, but it was what they had to do.
As Eloise took the note, Céline left the room, her footsteps drowned out by the sounds of the busy hospice care.
But then, the old woman started to grumble, her eyes slowly opening halfway. “Where… Where is Antoine?”
Elosie looked shocked, caught off guard by the elder. “I’m sorry, who are you talking about?”
The elderly woman groaned, “My son, Antoine. He was stationed at Verdun, he’s supposed to visit me.”
Eloise took a moment to process what she had just said. Verdun? No soldier has been to the front in years. Does… Does she not remember? “Are you sure? He’s probably not there.”
The elder smiled, “Oh good, He must be on his way here. He must want a break from fighting those Germans all day.”
Eloise pretended to smile, trying to maintain it. Oh fuck, she doesn’t remember. Should I tell her? She seems so full of hope. She doesn’t remember the occupation, she might not even be remembering the right war, but… she’s so happy. I don’t know what’s more sad, her losing years and years of memories, or me being jealous of her.

(Masterlist 11) S/O has to leave for a week or two and leaves little post it notes around the house telling them house much they love them with LustFell, Seaswap, Seafell, Gastertale, Nomadtale?
Lush: his home is pretty big, so he actually only finds the two notes in his briefcase and thinks that’s it. You wind up finding the rest of the notes over a month later after coming home lol. Lush did adore the two he found though
Pepper: every note he finds, he sends a rather spicy picture of himself back. He can’t help it! Pepper is just so flattered by the love notes. And you’re not here!! Please! You’re killing him!!
Finn: all the notes get put on the cork board in his room. When you come back home, you see all your notes in a little plain bow display on his bedroom wall lol. And no, he’s not taking them down. His love notes now
Sails: aww this is cute. He’ll send a thankful text back after finding one. When you mention there’s more, sails actually gets off his *ss and cleans the house so he can find the rest of them.
Hook: help, his crew mates keep finding the notes left for him and passing them around like badges of honor. Hook is horrified. He’s not ashamed, but they’re his dammit! He doesn’t wanna share!!
Captain: you were wise to leave all the notes in the captains office, or else captain would get the same treatment as hook lol. He gets quite flustered by every note he finds. When you’re back on the ship, he keeps blushing and looking away. He’s not sure how to thank you
G: lol, whenever he finds a note, he sends a pick to the science squad (aka sans lens and Pluto) bragging about how cute you are. Pluto thinks you’re adorable as well, sans will find a way to make a pun of every note, and this gossip is the highlight of lens’ day.
Green: THIS. Just this. This is how you seduce green. He’s fanning himself with every love note he finds. Man’s loosing his mind. He’s putting together a wedding Pinterest board, he’s looking up rings. You’ve done it now
Gears: oh. My. Stars. He’s squealing like a schoolgirl with every note he finds. And he’ll wave it around in compass’ face proudly but refuses to let him see what it says lol. Like you may look but no touchy. Only gears gets to read the romance. He’s a little punk
Compass: so he found every note except for two. And he’s basically gutted the house looking for those last two elusive post it notes. Later that day he makes the unfortunate discovery that his iguana, lettuce, ate them. One trip to the emergency vets later and he’s told to just wait for her to “pass” them. Oops

SS In July gift: @darkthingshappen
This is an exchange event so there will be a blanket trigger warning for all entries, so read at your own risk! Potential trigger warnings may include nsfw themes as well as gore and possible squicks.
He's a kleptomaniac. That's the only reason he takes the water bottle. He's surprised he hasn't gotten caught yet. One of the crew, Rafi, had gotten it from a vending machine. Klepto doesn't even like Fiji water all that much. He just takes things. A goldfish biscuit is sitting on the train floor for that very reason.
It'd be a little ridiculous to turn around and return the water bottle. He and Rafi already separated to search the train for their target. If he takes a sip, so what? He's seen no sign of the target, hopefully Rafi is having better luck.
He's nearing the front of the train when he realizes how slow everything has become. Blinking is suddenly a bit of an ordeal, and continuing to walk forward is worse. He feels drowsy. Like he's going to fall through the floor. He has to hold onto the sides of seats to support himself, getting a few strange looks from passengers that he sneers at. He does manage to stumble through another sliding door, finding himself in the very front car.
It's completely empty. He has to lean against a snack counter, closing his eyes to try and stop his vision from swimming. He has no fucking idea what's wrong with him at the moment, but his best guess is that stupid water. God, he is going to tear Rafi a new one for this. Not that he thinks Rafi did anything to the water.
When he opens his eyes again, he finds that he fell face down onto the floor at some point. A gross fucking train floor, with his suit? He's going to need a goddamn lint roller. He tries to push himself up, but his movements are sluggish. He's too weak to do anything right now. He finds his eyelids far too heavy, shutting against his will.
Klepto doesn't know how long he lays there, ear pressed against the floor. The quiet rumble of the train's movement lulling him into some kind of sleep.
The obnoxious, continuous buzzing and vibrating from the phone in his pocket drags him out of his numb state. Possible drugging be damned, he's going to have to answer to The Boss. Probably not the best idea in his state. He and Rafi are missing the briefcase, and he doubts he'd be able to lie very well right now. He forces his body to respond to him, slowly reaching downward to try and grab the phone.
The noise of the door behind him sliding open barely registers in his mind. He gets his hand over the pocket when the new arrival speaks.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" Some cheeky shit says smugly. He doesn't recognize his voice, but his accent is American. His eyes are closed, but he tries to roll them at the cliche bullshit the man just said.
He continues trying to get into his own pocket, frustrated by how fucking difficult it is to move his fingers how he wants them. He can hear the man doing something by the door, moving things around most likely. If he's blocking the exit, then Klepto is probably in some deep shit. There's no way he can defend himself right now. His only hope is some civilian forcing their way in and becoming a witness, or Rafi showing up.
The man walks closer, steps slow and deliberate. He seems like a real asshole. Klepto finally opens his eyes. Definitely American.
The American crouches down and moves him onto his back, almost effortlessly. He looks generic. Square jaw, brown hair, brown eyes. Big guy, though. Based on the few gray hairs, definitely older than him. He grabs his wrist, the one still struggling to get into his pocket, and moves it away.
Asshole.
The American takes the still ringing phone out of his pocket. Tilting his head at the phone, he ultimately presses something and it goes silent. The prick hung up on his boss.
Shit.
"Fancy meeting you here," The American says, carelessly dropping the phone onto the ground. He smiles down at him, a hungry look in his eyes. It makes his skin crawl. "Remember me?"
He most definitely does not remember this random fucking guy. But considering his job, being trapped in here with The American just got infinitely worse. Probably has some vendetta against him. Out for revenge or some shit.
"What? Nothing to say?" The American laughs, reaching out to rest his hand against the side of his face and slowly begins to caress it. He has a lot of colorful things to say right now, but it's impossible to get anything out of his throat. Such bullshit. "No? Suppose I'll just cut to the chase, then." The American moves his hand further down, fingers stretching around his throat. He finds himself unconsciously holding his breath.
He can't believe it. He is not about to be strangled to death on a train floor while drugged. But The American doesn't press down. His hand just rests on his throat, looking far too pleased by what he's seeing.
"Forgot how pretty you were." The American sighs, eyes slowly trailing down his body. Like he's admiring him. The implications are sobering. His entire body goes into attack mode, even if it can't do much attacking. "Belland…" Klepto finally manages to force out, quiet and mumbled. Barely recognizable. He lifts his arm to grab the hand around his throat, weakly trying to pull it away.
"There you are!" The American laughs, taking his hand away from his throat. "I'd like for you to be a little present for this. Try and keep that energy."
The American looks at his face, and then down at his crotch a couple of times, like he was considering something. Ultimately, he separated his legs and moved between them. "I'd go for your mouth, but I think you'd bite my dick off." The American chuckles, working on taking off his shoes.
This is so fucked up. He'd kind of prefer dying right now. Some random guy who he's apparently supposed to recognize is about to fucking rape him. God, this job is a disaster.
The American throws his shoes somewhere behind him, and he finds it in himself to still be angry about the mistreatment of his clothes. The American moves further up, quickly undoing his belt and pulling it from the loops. Then, he starts unbuttoning his waistcoat. He has hunger in his eyes, hands working fast to undress him. Both sides of the waistcoat are pushed aside. It only takes a few extra seconds for him to unbutton his shirt, leaving his chest bare.
"Shit," he moans, causing him to cringe. It's like he's some fucking fanboy. The American lowers his shaking hands, slowly dragging them along his well defined stomach.
"Like a fucking model," he says breathily. He just grits his teeth and endures it. He stares directly up at the ceiling, unwilling to look at The American's stupid fucking face while he gropes him.
The large hands leave no area unexplored. The touch brings a warmth to Klepto's chest, which just makes him want to squirm. The American tweaks one of his nipples, and it surprises him to the point that he actually makes a noise.
An embarrassing, high pitched squeaking noise.
That seems to get The American going, because he continues to pinch and tug on the sensitive, hard buds. Klepto grinds his teeth together and uses all of his willpower to keep the rest of his responses to himself, completely unwilling to let this man have anything.
He eventually gets bored with Klepto's top half and his lack of response, moving back down to the bottom. He unbuttons Klepto's's pants, and hooking his fingers through two belt loops, he tugs the pants down his legs. Once that layer is gone, The American doesn't waste time pulling down Klepto's boxers, exposing him completely. Klepto just hopes this is over quickly. This has been a bad day to wear SpongeBob.
"Been waiting a long time to do this," the American says. Klepto is still staring up at the ceiling, absolutely furious, when he grabs his limp dick and squeezes painfully. Surprised by the action, he lets out a gasp. The American laughs at that and Klepto forces himself to move, pushing at the American's hand, still wrapped around him.
He sighs, grabbing both of Klepto's wrists and forcing them above his head. He looks around for a second, before taking his discarded belt and using it to bind his hands together.
"Let's keep those out of the way," he says with a smile, patting the side of his face. It really pisses him off.
When Klepto feels like he can sit up without fainting, he's going to kill this man.

04x31 - Spook Stuff
Viv and Tony are called to a supermarket for a shoplifter that the shelf stacker claims was behaving like she wanted to be caught. The stolen goods came up to £3.20 and the woman has more than enough money in her purse to pay for them.
A meeting between Charles, Christine, Derek and Frank reveals that the clear-up rate has increased by 6 percent but he warns them not to let it go to their heads. As the others leave the room, Charles reports to Frank that he's had a phone call from Ted's bank manager and they're about to slap a court order against him.
(Above: a different view to Sun Hill CID. The television is showing the news.)
Jim and Tosh are working on a case where an American hotel guest left his room and returned to find valuables had been stolen. Ted says the security staff at that hotel are known to be dodgy. He answers the telephone and fixes up a meeting with a snout called Sinbad.
Frank takes Ted into his office and tells him about the court order threatened by his bank. Ted insists it's just a few weeks but it's really three months. Ted says he'll sort it out "like the last time when we sat here and worked out a sensible repayment plan?" Frank scowls. "You still cocked it up!" Ted says he'll phone the manager and fix a meeting and sort it out. Frank says he'll let it go - if Ted keeps him up to date.
Derek and Christine patrol the nearby market. They're teased by Dolly who remarks Christine is a vast improvement on Kite! Derek is known by all the traders and has a warm relationship with them.
The American man, Mr Gary, tells Burnside he is insured, he's already canceled his cards and he was only out of his room for 10 minutes. Burnside tells him that American Express will give him an immediate replacement so he should continue with his holiday. Mr Gary says he can't wait to leave England. His wife has gone shopping and should be back soon.
Tosh reports the hotel security didn't see or hear anything but he suspects that they've been paid off and that there's something more Mr Gary isn't saying. Frank suspects from the speed that the thieves are fellow hotel guests. Stolen was a briefcase containing business papers, some jewellery, a camera, a wallet and approx £120 in cash. The estimated value is $5K but thankfully their passports are being held in the safe at reception. When Mr Gary realised his room had been turned over, he charged downstairs to reception and mouthed off until the manager picked up the phone to call the police. Suddenly he wanted things to wind back and didn't want it reporting. He's also very worried for someone who says they're very well insured. Something stinks.
Christine is updated by Viv and Tony as they sit in the canteen. The shoplifter is American and keeps asking for her husband to be contacted at a nearby hotel. Of course, it's Mrs Gary. She had over £300 in her bag and over $1k in dollars. She doesn't seem the type and insists that it's a genuine mistake on her part but seems pleased she was arrested. (Side mention to a silent Suzanne Ford who is handing out birthday cake during this!)
Frank has a drink in the hotel bar and isn't happy to spot a Secret Service Agent approaching. "You're about as subtle as a dose of diarrhea." The SS agent tells him to take his boys and leave, it's a political case and has nothing to do with the local divisional Bobby. The CIA is involved and Frank agrees for one of his DC's to tell him what they know because he's too busy. "Just to make your day, the Yanks holding back on us. He's lost something he's not telling us about. "Oh no, I didn't want to hear that..." "Have a nice day...." Frank mutters at another 'secret' secret service agent as he passes!
Christine joins Viv to interview Mrs Gary. She keeps saying it's a mistake on her part and she has a lot on her mind. She asks if they've contacted her husband at his hotel but Viv says she's having a problem getting hold of him. Mrs Gary is distressed and asks them to keep trying. Christine asks why she went shopping when they were leaving the next day. Mrs Gary says she needed hand cream and aspirin but all the items she placed in her bag were food and not the snack type that you eat in a hotel. She asks again for them to contact her husband. Christine asks what her husband does and, reluctantly, Mrs Gary says he works with the government but won't answer any more questions. Christine says she can charge her by that afternoon if she needs to but Mrs Gary insists that her husband be called. As it's her first offence she can give her a stern warning. Mrs Gary asks again for her husband, insisting she must tell him she's being held at the police station.
Ted meets Sinbad at the Greyhound tracks. Sinbad tells him that he should have some connections 'with the secret squirrel brigade' as he's going to need them as he has top secret paperwork that the CIA would be interested in. It's currently safe and Ted says that he has to sort a few things out before asking what stops him from nicking him and turning his house over. Sinbad claims that it's not at his house and that if he does that he'll never get them. Instead, he hands over an American Express card and tells him to show it to his bosses and watch the wheels turn. He'll ring him at CID in an hour. By then he should have the answer he needs.
Back at the station, Frank is cock of the walk because he got the 'tasty receptionists phone number'. "As it happens so did I." Jim grins.
Christine tells Derek that Mrs Gary's husband is in the hotel but they can't find him. She now wants him to tell Mrs Gary that because she'll 'take it better from a higher rank. And that's you.' Derek tells Mrs Gary that he's letting her go but she'll be arrested if she does it again. In desperation, she slaps Derek and stamps on his foot. "Now will you contact my husband?" Unluckily for Derek it's the foot that has a corn on it. Christine checks him over and tells him it's not broken but it is bruised. Charles pops his head in and Derek tells him that Mrs Gary's husband works for the government. Suddenly Charles' ears prick up. "In what capacity?" he asks but neither Inspector knows. Charles rings Marion and asks her to get Frank to come and meet him.
As Frank leaves CID to speak to Brownlow, Ted tries to talk to him as he's getting a telephone call in 45 minutes and needs to speak to him before it. Frank tells him to come and get him in 15 minutes if he's not out.
Alec has been dispatched to the hotel to track down Mr Gary himself. He's approached by the Secret Service officer who spoke to Frank. Alec tells him that they have Mr Gary's wife in custody.
In the meeting with Frank is also Christine and Derek. Frank explains to them and Brownlow that he suspects that Mr 'Government Worker' has been trying to contact the other side to sell official secrets and paperwork. Frank suspects the CIA is onto him and is giving him enough rope to hang himself. The burglary made things hit the fan. Charles thinks he's right and Christine believes that Mrs Gary has gotten wind of that and has been trying to stop the deal by getting the police to tell her husband that she's being held by the police. A Special Branch Chief Inspector arrives at Sun Hill wanting to see Charles so Frank escapes back to CID for 5 minutes and speaks to Ted.
Ted explains to Frank about his snout having 'secret squirrel' paperwork that has something to do with the ' Spooks Department'. He shows Frank the American Express Card in the name of Thomas Gary. Sinbad wants 5K in expenses and to be removed from suspicion of a burglary case in Sussex. Frank tells him to set it up and Ted warns him he promised him a straight deal. He then asks Frank to speak to the financial company for him. "You're learning, Ted. You're learning."
The Secret Service Chief Inspector admits that they were hoping to trap the American for selling secret documents and when they were stolen they were still trying to find out who the buyer was but the police presence at the hotel is jepordising that. Charles points out they should have told them and that they'll help out now they know the truth. Mrs Gary has been sent back to the hotel with 'smacked legs' and heads will roll for the stolen documents. Brownlow leaves the room and the SS man that Burnside spoke to asks why he looks so smug. "Be nice to me, Benj... I can make your day!"
Frank sets up an obbo with the proviso that the SS man 'whispers in the right ear' for him as he claims he'll be ready to join the SS in a few years himself. He's also spoken to the finance company for him and tells Frank that they'll give Ted no more aggro as long as he remains on the ball and pays up on time each month going forward.
Sinbad approaches Ted in an underpass. Ted hands him 5K in used tenners and promises him he's been dropped out as a suspect from the Sussex job. They swap the documentation over for the cash and Sinbad spots officers coming for him. Ted is shocked himself and urges Sinbad to run for it. He spots Frank approaching and goes to punch him but Frank tells him not to be stupid and he hands over the paperwork with a promise to nick Sinbad in a week as he managed to get away. Ted threatens Frank again and Frank warns him not to be a plonker and warns him to have it on his toes before insinuating if he doesn't he'll be arrested as part of the dealing in the documentation. "Stroppy git but a good copper." Frank says, watching Ted storm off. "Aye... you'll do." The Secret Service agent smirks at Frank.
At the pub, Ted mutters that Frank always manages to come up smelling of roses and one day he'll do for him. Bob tells him to book him a ringside seat. "It'll never happen..." Frank smirks from behind them. Bob makes his excuses and leaves the two together. Frank tells Ted he's far too emotional. Ted tells him he doesn't work like Frank does or snitch his snouts up. Frank tells him that he wants results and makes sure that 'me and mine come out at the end covered in glory. That's why I'm DI' and any brownie points are a perk of the job.

Plus Cody and Gunther/whoever else is going to have a long reign so why have someone carrying around that case for a year

CLAUS VON STAUFFENBERG
CLAUS VON STAUFFENBERG
1907-1944
OPERATION VALKYRIE, 20 JULY 1944 PLOT TO ASSASSINATE HITLER
Claus Von Stauffenberg was born in Jettingen, Germany, into an old and aristocratic Catholic family. Stauffenberg and his brothers went on to have a military career and he was gradually made lieutenant. He was married in 1933 and had five children.
Stauffenberg agreed with some of the Nazi’s aspects however never became a member. His feelings for Hitler differed from respect to dislike. Stauffenberg’s uncle Nikolaus approached him to join the resistance movement against Hitler’s regime, however it wasn’t until later he started to consider it. Stauffenberg expressed openly his dislike to the ill-treatment of Jews and said to a friend in 1942, ‘These crimes must not be allowed to continue.’ In 1943, he was sent home due to numerous wounds; he lost his left eye, right hand and two fingers. He was sent home to recover and was introduced to members of the resistance. He became the driving force for the resistance who united the conspirators and drove them into action. He was one of few who had access to Hitler for briefings.
On 20 July 1944, Stauffenberg entered Hitler’s briefing room and was carrying a briefcase which concealed two small bombs; however he only had enough time to able to arm one of the bombs. In the briefing room he placed his briefcase under the table, as close to Hitler as possible and then excused himself from the room. After he left the room, someone had moved the briefcase and minutes later the bomb exploded. Stuaffenberg initially believed no one in the room had survived. Four people were killed and the others seriously injured, Hitler survived and was only slightly wounded, because the wooden table leg gave him protection.
Believing that Hitler was dead, Stauffenberg drove to the airfield and returned to Berlin and the resistance group began the military coup against the Nazi leaders. Joseph Goebbels announced on the radio that Hitler survived an assassination attempt and they realised their plot had failed.
Stauffenberg was executed by a firing squad on 21 July 1944, with three other members. They were killed before 1 am in the courtyard of the Bendlerblock, which was lightened by the headlight of a truck. His last words were ‘long live the secret Germany!’ Their bodies were buried and then exhumed by the SS who had the bodies cremated. Stauffenbergs family fled the country and his brother was killed by the Nazis 1944 for being a conspirator.
In 1980, the German government created a memorial for the 22 July victims at Bendleblock courtyard.

Things to Consider Before Buying a Metal Detector
Technological advancement has led to an increase in the popularity of metal detectors. They are no longer the most efficient but, as guns become readily available to all Metal detectors have become essential. They're primarily used to increase our security or to ensure the safety of certain people. Although they're capable of causing inconveniences, they are practically a must-have.
Security detectors today are able of doing as they are able to be detected in the presence of numerous modern guns. However, anyone who uses security detectors must be aware of their shortcomings and weaknesses, so that they are formalized in the use of the devices. Door frame detectors cannot perform all the work and, at times, the identification of dangerous objects depends on the experienced operator. In spite of that, they significantly improve the chance of locating concealed weapons. The search for a weapon of choice shouldn't be a challenge for these pieces of technology.
With time, Nokta Makro Metal Detector Dealer in Jaipur has encountered its fair share of shortcomings. In particular, they're not efficient for use on purses or briefcases. There are a lot of things that can be found in bags and purses which could trigger false alarms, typically due to the presence of certain substances contained within the bag or in the vicinity of the bag. However, many people think that metallic detectors are only that are used to detect harmful metal. Many people also believe that bigger or heavier devices tend to set off alarms. However, the metal detector actually detects any type of conductive material. This is because any material that has the intention of generating an electric current could be detected with the detector.
The metal detector continuously scans for materials that are suspicious by way of creating magnetic fields. Therefore the size and shape of the objects that conduct electricity are what they are looking for, and the weight of the item is irrelevant.
Security detectors are on occasion an essential element of the human experience. For instance, since colleges are frequently subject to threats, security detectors could at a minimum reduce the possibility of students being severely injured. Research shows that more than half the college administrators believe these systems are at the lowest beneficial. And third have claimed that the use of metal detectors can help in reducing criminals who commit violent acts. Certain college administrators have added that they can also help in reducing drug crime in the college.
Some studies also reveal that students who attended colleges with detectors made of metal were more likely to be victims of abuse than students at schools without. Archway detectors have a unique place in the identification of dangerous students and weapons in colleges.
Metallic detectors have also raised certain health-related safety concerns. Some misconceptions about them suggest they might be radioactive or risky. This is a common falsehood, since metal detectors, including handheld ones, aren't more dangerous than televisions or any other home appliance powered by electricity.
Most people believe that safety detectors employ the x-rays to find metal, similar to the scanners on bags at airports but it's not true. They are only emitting an electromagnetic field of low frequency which is as safe for infants and pregnant women. In addition, the majority of people are exposed to this electromagnetic daily in their homes. Some airports indeed have body scanners that emit x-rays instead of metal detectors. However, the arches themselves don't emit xrays or expose anyone exposed to radiation. Heart patients who wear pacemaker devices aren't at risk when passing by these arches.
SS Communications Services is an authorized dealer that offers a broad selection of products including Minelab Metal Detector, Garrett Metal Detector, Nokta Makro Metal Detector as well as Metal detector in Jaipur.

A/N: Day 23 of the HBC Lucky in Love and prompt Serendipity - today is all for @the-ss-horniest-book-club
Pairing: Chris Beck x reader, Professor AU
Word Count: 389
Warnings: 18+ Only - implied smut but let’s be safer than sorry - if you click on the Keep Reading link you agree you’re over the age of 48 - 18
Divider by the lovely @imerdwarf
“Good things happen in threes, right?” Dr. Beck asked the lecture hall. Several heads nodded and he grinned, continuing on. “Someone tell me the first thing today that was good for you.”
You, as the TA, blurted out. “I got laid.” The entire hall burst into laughter; your face grew warm but you held your head high. Chris grinned at you.
“Lucky woman. Okay, Ms. TA, what good thing happened after that?”
You paused, having a good idea where he was headed with this little conversation. “The line at Starbucks was non-existent, so I got my favorite drink instead of rushing and getting a cheap latte.”
“So I’m guessing the third good thing was that you made it to class on time?” Most people giggled at his assumption. “So this is the idea behind certain cosmic phenomena such as the Star of Bethelem, things happening in threes.” Chris winked at you and continued on with his lecture.
You approached his office, leaning against the doorframe. You watched as his muscles moved and twisted under his sweater as he gathered his books and papers in his briefcase. “You gonna stand there and stare all day y/n?” he asked with a grin as he turned to face you. He lifted the bad onto his left shoulder and grabbed his jacket.
“Not if you’re ready to go.” Your eyes twinkled as his left hand brushed against yours. “Your place or mine?”
Chris pretended to look affronted. “Just gonna get right to it then? No dinner first?” You laughed as you walked alongside him.
“Fine, dinner first. Or second? I usually work up an appetite anyway,” you teased.
“Damn TA!” Chris laughed. “Is this your way of getting back at me for earlier?”
“Nah. It was my own fault for talking before thinking.” You realized belatedly you both were headed towards his car in the faculty lot. “But maybe we should…” He pulled you into a quick kiss.
“We,” he kissed you again,” Are going to eat at a semi-nice restaurant and talk before I take you to bed. Are we clear?” His smile made the corners of his eyes crinkle and you melted.
“Yes, Dr. Beck,” you agreed.
“Dr. Beck… sounds nice when you say it like that.” He opened the car door, leaning down to whisper in your ear. “Make sure you scream it later.”

A Good President
For @the-ss-horniest-book-club Drunk Drabbles - Clean Up The Archive Challenge!
With this guy:
No Warnings, but my blogs are 18+ spaces always.
"You know what?" You sit up a little on the couch, and poke Scott's cheek. "I bet you'd make a good President."
His response is a short laugh. "You don't like how much I have to work now, you want me to be President?"
"Well, don't you have lots of people to do the work for you? And you'd just be like a figurehead?" You're teasing, and he knows it by the sparkle in your eye.
"I think I'm quite satisfied with my current position in government, babe." He stands and puts his suit jacket on, checking his briefcase to make sure he hasn't left anything in his home office.
"Well I think you'd be a great candidate. Handsome, you'd look amazing on camera, gorgeous in a suit," you straighten his tie, giggling at the pink dusting his cheeks.
"At least I know I'd have your vote." Scott kisses you goodbye, maybe a touch longer than usual, and heads toward the door before turning back to you. "For what it's worth - I bet you'd make a stunning First Lady."
