now, here is a man who her arm reaches out to find. lee sanghyun makes sense. they’ve got the same political beliefs and aspirations, and he’s got the kind of smile that she could look at forever. and here it is now, breaking through the beads of sweat and unkempt attractiveness that he has about him. through the blare of the crowd, sumi chitters out a warm, “sanghyun!” and her hands find any excuse to touch him, wrapping her arms around his neck in a tender hug. he switches her cup for water and she barely notices, blames it on being intoxicated as she wrinkles her nose and whispers a ribbing, “you promise?” she takes a sip then places a hand on his bicep. “took you long enough to find me,” it’s sheepish, falls as a tease but lacks the adequate confidence. sumi hooks the rogue strands of hair behind her ear, “what distracted you?”

I'll be quite honest with everyone, I've been dreading and avoiding to post about my Lacka Oc for a while now and show it to the public. I've been nervous and scared to do this, due to past experiences I've had in the past with other fandoms I've been in. And not only that, it's also because I'm not an experienced artist or an artist at all, and all of the artwork I've got of my Oc is done by other talented artists, not me. And I feel like most people wouldn't care much to see this, because I'm showing and sharing artwork of my Oc that wasn't even drawn by me even though I created her.

Plus, along with the fact that I was extremely worried and concerned that I would probably be bullied and judged (again, due to past experiences) or that my Oc would end up being ignored and not given much attention, or would just end up being stolen by somebody who will try and claim it as their own, which has happened a lot to me actually when being in fandoms I used to be a part of years ago. hey lovely, i just got around to reading the chapter rn and let me just say i am in so much awe. the way that you portrayed what dorcas and marlene are dealing with rn and love tangled into all of that made me absolutely crazy. it’s so so so soooo interesting and honestly so real and raw.

i’m going particularly crazy about the situation dorcas is in bc essentially by trying to keep marlene safe she’s pushing her away and in multiple ways too. there’s the fact that she just isn’t telling her all that’s going on with voldemort, which obviously we saw doesn’t feel good on marlene’s end and just breeds more mistrust, but there’s also the fact that she sort of took matters into her own hand and did that deal with dumbledore about keeping marlene out of danger, which listen i get but it doesn’t end well for either dorcas OR marlene and they both just end up more hurt and honestly knowing how this all ends is just very fucking heartbreaking bc we as readers know that it doesn’t matter in the end. there were multiple lines that literally had me like absolutely stunned just bc of how well they portrayed the situation and the emotion and just in general the toll that it’s having on both of them.

“She thinks it is killing the part of her that knew how to love, maybe. Her kisses all feel like wounds these days.” this mf line. i had to put my phone down for a bit i swear. fuck i love love looooove characters with depth and dorcas in this fic>>> she loves marlene so much that she’s doing all these things to protect her that are chipping away little parts of her that know how to give that love.

“You’re acting fucking insane,” she hisses, because she knows it will hurt Marlene—and that’s love, isn’t it? Dorcas wants to crack open her ribcage and crawl inside, she wants to chew the meat of her heart like a bloody steak, tender and soft and melting off the bone. Isn’t that love.” this is another fucking one. u deserve jail for this one. no no. it plays with my emotions and it makes me FEEL things. ur not understanding the brainrot i’m having rn. i finished and chapter and immediately reread bc that’s how much i loved it. idk but genuinely i think this has been my favorite chapter so far. i usually get so frustrated seeing situations like these, esp bc of the whole miscommunication aspect of it bc like we know the whole picture so it’s easier for us to understand where the characters and coming from and why they do certain things, so it’s frustrating that the characters in the story can’t but like no u just did it in a whole other way.

all the metaphors that u used to express love in this chapter. all the fighting and like anger and emotions and LOVE.

i’m obsessed with ur portrayal of it.

and YES the situation with dorcas exactly like it is just. i talked about why exactly she's not being honest with marlene in this post but yeah essentially it's just one of those situations where everything is coming from a place of love and a desire to protect marlene and keep her safe but that's not what marlene wants but dorcas doesn't care because she'd rather love marlene wrong than risk losing her and i just!!!!!! look i know i wrote it but i wrote it bc that dynamic specifically makes me go insane so i'm right there with u lol

ahhh the kisses feel like wounds YES i'm so glad u liked that line the whole question of like how far do we go for love what horrible things are we willing to do for love what pieces of ourselves are we willing to carve up for love....yes yes yes

and the love paragraph ahh that's another one of my favorites i am literally thrilled to hear that it gave u brainrot i am planting mold spores in ur brain and watching them grow >:) and yes the frustration of knowing why characters can't communicate and seeing those walls between them and wishing they could see them too...again i know i wrote it but it gets me every time!!! like they don't want to hurt each other they each just want to leave a mark on the other that no one can take away and they're living in an environment where the only marks left on anyone that can't be erased are from violence and just....yeah. yeah <3

The feel of Hawkins’ hands reaching out for you in the middle of the night was a feeling you admittedly weren’t quite used to.

You respected Hawkins space just as he respected yours. You were preparing yourself for the day Hawkins suggested separate beds, but what you didn’t know was that he’d actually grown accustomed to the feel of your warm presence beside him. In fact, he’d probably grown quite dependent on it.

That dependency manifested on a stormy night in Wano; the rumble of thunder and lightning at play with his subconscious as he tossed and turned on his side of the bed. Thunder was replaced with Kaido’s monstrous roars, lightning symbolizing his blazing inferno that destroyed all in its path. When Hawkins realized that you were in his path, he ran.

As with all nightmares, it felt like he was running through tar pits. His legs refused to move at desired speed, and everything around him seemed to pass in slow motion though Kaido barreled through the charred wasteland with ease, arriving above you with lightning speed. As the ominous glow illuminated behind snarling teeth, Hawkins cried out for you which resulted in him searching for you in your shared bed.

Sleep was still heavy in his movements as he aimlessly reached out for you. Just the feel of your skin, any inch, would do. But panic settled within him when your side of the bed seemingly offered him nothing. His eyes shot open, adjusting poorly in the pitch black darkness and his hands began searching for you in distress.

You awoke to his frantic movements, somnolently reaching out to grab at his hand. As you softly laced your fingers with his and placed a kiss along your tangled hands, the lightning illuminated your drowsy figure and Hawkins sighed in audible relief.

“Mm, Basil? Everything okay?” You mumbled out, sleepy, but still aware of the shaking from the hand you held. You squeezed it in an offerance of comfort.  

“I’m alright.” He responded as he slowly eased back into his previous position, focusing on regulating his racing heart. You attempted to release your hands, but remained when you felt him squeeze you firmly, a silent plea to not let go.

“Bad dream?”

“Yes.”

You opened up your arms to invite him in. While you truthfully expected him to turn away from you with a polite rejection, he surprised you by slowly crawling over to your side and easing into your embrace. His arms were a bit awkward as they wrapped around you. Nevertheless, this was a rare moment, so you accepted his affections graciously.

“Is this...okay?”

You couldn't help but snicker, wondering if his question was more for you or himself. You burrowed in his hair and hummed lightly, “Stay as long as you need.”
