[TRANS] U.S Billboard Praises “Stray Kids ‘Side Effect’, Contains Quick & Powerful Beat+Addicting Melody”

In the midst of group Stray Kids’ comeback with new song ‘Side Effect’, U.S Billboard brought attention to the fans’ theories for meaning within the MV.

On the 19th, Billboard made known the release of their new special album 'Clé 2 : Yellow Wood', and published articles introducing new song ‘Side Effect’ and relating to the music video.

First, about the title track ‘Side Effect’, they introduced, "With a propulsive psytrance genre they aggressively rally against going along with the way things are going against their will, shouting declaratively “My head hurts” repeatedly as a response to the situation.” And, about the album in which Stray Kids took part in the lyrics and composition of all tracks, they praised that the, "septet of songs feel fit for the summer with their breezy beats and addicting melodies.”

Billboard brought to the spotlight how fans found and interpreted the meaning of the objet within the MV. "Some fans even noted that the license plate on the bux reads “AD2540,” or AD 2540, the year Aldus Huxley’s iconic dystopian novel Brave New World was set, giving the entire Clé series a whole new, dystopian take,” and added a hot reaction the the MV which handles the members’ complex heart-lines.

Together with their comeback, Stray Kids rose 8 ranks on the ‘Social 50’ chart from last week, ranking 9th, verifying the global interest towards ‘new generation K-Pop group.’

‘Music industry rookie king’ Stray Kids, who took the title of 10-crown king at various award shows are extending their influence even more and raising their growing point. Starting with Thailand on January 19th of this year, followed by Jakarta, Melbourne, Sydney, and Manila, they opened their first overseas showcase tour since debut, and on May 14th and 15th in Newark, LA on the 17th, and Houston on the 19th for a total of 4 shows, they sold out their entire U.S solo showcase tour, taking position as ‘new K-Pop generation’s representative group.’

[TRANS] Stray Kids, Comeback With ‘MCD’ Today..Begin ‘I am YOU’ Broadcast Promotions

Rookie group Stray kids begin their new title track ‘I am YOU’ broadcast promotions starting today (25th).

Stray Kids will show viewers their ‘I am YOU’ stage starting with Mnet ‘M Countdown’ on the 25th, KBS2 ‘Music Bank’ on the 26th, MBC ‘Show! Music Core’ on the 27th, and SBS ‘Inkigayo’ on the 28th.

‘I am YOU’ is a new track through which Stray Kids’ new charm and potential can be confirmed, the composition of which was taken charge of by the group’s producing group 3RACHA’s Bang Chan, Changbin, and HAN, who also made their debut title track ‘District 9’ and their 2nd mini title track ‘My Pace’.

Stray Kids, who showed intense and energy-packed performances with their promotions for their pre debut album, 1st mini, and 2nd mini, have equipped and emotional charm with their new track ‘I am YOU’. They who talked about the confusion and research about ‘me’ in their previous works this time relay the message that any growth is impossible on their own if the existence of ‘YOU’ isn’t there.

Stray Kids display their self-written and sincere message on the broadcast stage not only through singing but also through their dynamic knife-like choreography, and it is expected that they will grab the attention of both eyes and ears of those watching.

The music video for title track ‘I am YOU’, release at 6PM of the 22nd along with the album, passed 10 million views at the dawn of the 24th. Stray Kids will show their 2nd mini album side track ‘Awkward SIlence’ this week on mucis shows.

Stray Kids, who started promotions with the release of their 2nd mini album ‘I am WHO’ and title track ‘MY PACE’ this past 6th, will meet fans with their ‘Awkward Silence’ stage starting with ‘M Countdown’ on the 30th followed by KBS2 ‘Music Bank’ on the 31st, SBS Inkigayo on 9/02, etc.

‘Awkward Silence’ is a pop song that wittily expresses the neologism ‘Awkward Silence (갑분싸)' with a retro funk sound that melts fun and bright lyrics such as, “Let’s first laugh”, “A crow passes by cooly”, etc. on a groovy beat for a trendy feel.

Stray Kids showed a strong performance through their 2nd mini album title track ‘My Pace’ broadcast promotions.

Group Stray Kids is successfully finishing their debut promotions.

Stray Kids is presenting the performance of their debut mini album ‘I am NOT’ b-side track ‘Mirror’ through KBS 2TV’s ‘Music Bank’ on the 4th, SBS ‘Inkigayo’ on the 6th. Through their ‘Inkigayo’ stage on the 6th they are schedules to hold their final promotion of their 7 week long debut promotions.

The members expressed their thanks, saying, “Facing our first promotions after debuting was very exciting and made out hearts full” and “Being with our fans, each moment was even more precious. We will become a Stray Kids who grows to be able to admirably repay the support and expectations sent.”

Said MV passed 21.97 million views as of 9AM of the 4th, and is showing a continuous rise.

Stray Kids’ debut album is attracting attention for taking a top spot on Japan’s Tower Record Online Daily Sales Chart with their debut album.

Stray Kids’ debut mini album ‘I am NOT’ ranked 1st on said chart as of March 29th. Not only that, but the two version ‘I AM’ and ‘NOT’ ranked both 1st and 2nd place together.

The second time ranking first on this chart, Stray Kids ranked 1st on January 10th with their pre debut album ‘Mixtape’.

Stray Kids are gathering extreme interest on the site, especially as they have yet to have their official debut into the Japanese music market.
