Spy x Family Damianya Manga Guide
This is mostly for myself to keep track because I keep on forgetting their chapters :D
(Paraphrased, brief summaries)
[Last updated: 23 Dec 2024, Chapter 108]
Chapter 8: Eden beginnings, Damian thinks Anya has a crush on him and looks cute, Anya punches Damian
Chapter 9: Damian stares at Anya in class and blushes, Anya apologizes to Damian, he develops a crush on her
Volume 2 omake: Damian’s original design is reviewed, but he looked too much like his dad so the editor requested to make him cuter. All of Damian’s notes are blacked out except for one saying he likes Anya
Chapter 15: Dodgeball chapter. Damain wants to become an Imperial Scholar or else his father won’t notice him. Anya says she doesn’t like Damian because he’s mean to her.
Chapter 16: Anya gets her first Stella by saving a drowning kid, Damian is jealous.
Chapter 17: Damian defends Anya's star from people saying she is undeserving of one. Anya learns Damian has a dog starts planning to get a dog for Plan B.
Chapter 23: Anya tells Damian she owns a dog. Damian doesn't care, but in the end indulges her by asking what's the dog's name.
Chapter 25: the Arts and Crafts/ paper Griffin chapter. "If they have love, they can soar through the sky!"
Chapter 26: Midterms exam, Damian makes Anya's signature face to tease her.
Chapter 28: George chapter, Anya defends Damian when George attempts to defame him.
Chapter 36: Anya and Becky go on their shopping trip. Damian sees Anya's smile and blushes.
Chapter 37: Imperial Scholar meetup. Anya convinces Damian to find his father.
Chapter 38: Damian admits that it's not like he hates Anya but gets flustered afterwards.
Chapter 42: The macaron/ Old Maid chapter. Anya panics when Damian wonders if she can read minds. Damian purposefully picks the wrong card because he can read Anya's face. Anya offers half of her macaron to Damian and he refuses.
Family Portrait light novel spin off, Novel Mission 1: Anya and Damian hold hands while hiding from the rain in a cave.
Chapter 61: The handkerchief chapter. Anya lets Damian borrow her handkerchief and gets a bolt in his place. Seeing this, Damian wants to tell the truth, but Anya stops him. Damian claims that the "A" monogrammed on his handkerchief is the "A" in "Damian". Anya mistakenly thinks Damian is going to pay her back with cake.
Chapter 66: Anya learns Yor knows Melinda and starts a battle of the friendship schemes. Becky gives Anya a yakisoba burger to hold in her mouth and instructs her to bump into Damian. Damian avoids her but the burger ends up on his head.
Chapter 67 Part 1: Anya pesters Damian about the cake and tells them their mom are friends. Damian thinks about his preschool secrets and Anya thinks she's getting some good Sy-on boy gossip.
Chapter 69: Start of bus hijacking arc. Damian prepared cake for Anya but his friends eat it before he can give it to her.
Chapter 70: Anya and Becky hatch a plan to tell the outside world they're being held hostage. A concerned Damian throws them a note asking them what they're doing. They tell him and Damian offers to be the distraction. Anya tosses their SOS message outside the window and is caught, and the terrorists place a bomb around her neck.
Chapter 71: Anya learns the bomb is fake. The terrified thoughts from her classmates overwhelm her, and Damian mistakenly thinks Anya is scared. Damian tells the hijackers to attach the bomb to him instead ("The bomb on her neck, attach it to me instead!"). They put another (fake) bomb on Damian without removing Anya's. Damian is terrified, so Anya holds his hand to reassure him it'll be okay.
Chapter 75: After they get off the bus, Damian apologies to Anya for making fun of her. Anya responds by saying Damian was "super cool" as well. She says Damian offering to take the bomb for her was a "hero move". Damian calls them friends. He reveals to Anya that he barely has a relationship with his parents.
Chapter 76: Anya reflects on meeting Melinda and thinks Damian's family is weird. Anya becomes popular for her heroics. Becky teases Damian about him getting jealous that someone is going to take Anya away. He shivers at the thought, then vehemently denies it. He insults Anya and she gets tear-eyed, so he says sorry and he'll bring some candy to make up for it.
Chapter 78.5 / Short Mission 10: Ewen and Anya get excited about space exploration and play together. Damian gets jealous and claims "When I'm a politician, I'll make it so people can take trips to the moon whenever they want". Anya seemingly doesn't hear him.
Chapter 88: Cake chapter. Damian decides to repay the handkerchief debt by giving Anya "the most elite tea cakes ever made, intended for royalty". Damian is embarrassed by the debt wants to do it in secret. Anya reads his mind and passes him a note telling him to meet her alone during break. Emile and Ewen assume she wants to fight Damian. Becky thinks it's romantic. Damian and Anya run away from their friends. Damian gets annoyed and thinks about tossing the cakes. Anya holds onto his arm and says "I don't want you to go! (Without giving me the cakes)". Damian is about to give Anya the cakes when Henderson confiscates the cakes and sends them to detention. They eat the tea cakes during detention. Damian wonders why Anya asked him to come alone if it wasn't to fight and Anya gets creeped out by his mental image of her.
Chapter 95: End of class gala. Beforehand, Anya asks Damian to dance and he refuses. At the dance, Anya and Damian both have multiple people asking them for a dance. Loid is secretly at the party. Anya reads his mind and hears that Loid wants her to pick whoever she wants to dance with. Anya declares she wants to dance with Damian.
Chapter 96: Ewen and Emile start a series of challenges in which the winner will get to dance with Damian. Anya finishes the first challenge with help from Loid, which concerns Emile and Ewen. Damian tells them they do this fair and square. The final challenge is a Damian trivia quiz which Anya gets points because she can read minds. Anya wins when she correctly answers who Damian loves the most— his father (seemingly without using her powers). They dance together. Anya tells him her father made her practice with him. Damian says he was taught by an instructor and admits to her that her family sounds nice. When Damian accuses Anya of reading minds because she knew specific trivia about him, Anya confesses that yes, she can read minds. Damian doesn't believe her.
Chapter 104: Damian asks if Jeeves is blabbering to his mother about "weird stuff" such as Anya.
Chapter 107: Winter festival chapter. The Forgers go to the festival and meet up with the Eden kids and their parents/caretakers.
Chapter 108: Anya tells fortune teller Melinda that she wants to be friends with Damian even though she "hates him because he bullies her". Anya tells Damian that his mom loves him too.

The woman introduced the suspect. "This man is a criminal ..... Officer Forger, it's your job to get him to admit what he's done."
"Okey dokey." Anya snapped off a stiff salute to the woman, then turned to face the suspect, her face suddenly cold and grim.
What the hell? thought Yuri.
Anya lowered herself into the chair, shaking her head with a world-weary sigh. She spoke in a soft murmur.
"You again, Jack? You just never learn, do you?"
Who the hell is Jack? wondered Yuri. And what, she just gets to make up the fact that he's a repeat offender?!
"Sure is cold out," Anya said wistfully. "Looks like winter's here."
Yuri furrowed his brow. Now she's writing in the season too?
SPY x FAMILY: FAMILY PORTRAIT ( MISSION 2, PG 73)
---------------------------------------------------------------
"Don't you play the tough guy with me, John." Anya's voice was low and gritty-or at least, that's probably how she intended it to sound.
Yuri was screaming inside. His name was Jack! How could you forget that? You're the one who named him!
"You still have Margaret," Anya said. "What about her?"
Who the hell is Margaret?! .....

Spy x Family Mission 75 Spoilers-ish (But mostly just a dissertation on Melinda Desmond) :
Alright, I’ve finally calmed down enough to have actual semi-coherent thoughts about Melinda. So here we go, this is gonna be a long one.
I’ve seen a few posts calling her terrible and that she’s a bad parent but I really, deeply believe that’s not the case at all. I don’t think she’s a character that Endo put there for us to hate. I think she’s a character that’s there to be pitied.
She is clearly a severely broken woman. We got a hint of it in her reveal with Yor, we saw glimpses of the duality -her saying she didn’t care about the punch or really anything in Damien’s life at the table with her friends, then asking in the car when she and Yor were alone if Damien and Anya were friends - and then she gave us that expression.
I think we were all supposed to have our own opinions about what that face meant at the time because it was just so hard to pin down (and we have no Anya to give us insight) but now that we know a little more about her, it’s starting to make more sense. It’s warped and fractured and a caricature of what a happy smile should be. I think it shows that she has two very distinct, opposing mind sets about her life and the lives of her family and because of that she’s a very conflicted and complicated woman.
The fact that she raced over to see Damien shows us that she loves her child. She ran to that boy with tears in her eyes and dropped to her knees to hug him, that was a mother who was distraught. No one expected her to do that. Damien himself definitely didn’t. Anya even likened her thoughts about her son to a Yuri level of obsessive compassionate. But the second Damien mentioned his father a switch flipped. She fractured.
Donovan seems like a very cut and dry asshole, I’m sure he has some different facets but they’re probably all just variations of shithead. He was pretty blatant with his ideas, beliefs and ideologies when we met him, (for now) he’s an easy character to understand. Melinda, on the other hand, seems to be the opposite. I’m sure we all have our theories on her background, she’s most likely from a wealthy family and whether her marriage to Donovan was an arranged one or they actually did at some point love each other (or some truly wild Third thing that probably is the case given this manga’s propensity for curveballs), it’s clear that at this point they’re not on good terms. It’s obvious that Melinda hates Donovan, I have a theory that Demetrius may be the root of that hatred.
I believe that after he was born and she witnessed Donovan’s indifference towards their child aside from indoctrinating him with his twisted views something in her shifted. Donovan probably even made sure her interactions with her first born would be limited as he was grooming him to be his heir. I’m going to guess that not only will we find out that Demetrius looks like Donovan but he will act like him too. My theory is that she wanted a second child, not Donovan, (especially since it seems like Damien is the only one of these rich kids with a sibling) Melinda wanted a child to teach to be good and to love and dote on since she saw that Demetrius was too far for her to ever actually reach. But I think that even that didn’t work out the way she wanted and it probably became evident to her pretty quickly that even though Damien as the second child would never get as much attention from Donovan as the first, she still wouldn’t be able to completely remove his influence from their shared child’s life. And every time that she saw him, her precious second attempt, search for approval from a man who she hates some of that hate transferred over to her feelings for Damien, (because to her, why would he love a man who clearly has no love for him when she’s right there showering him with it? Why does he care about that man’s approval when she’s right there giving him hers?) I think Damien’s desire to be loved by both parents, and her witnessing that she can’t change that slowly chipped away at her until she became this heavily fractured, incredibly wounded woman who probably had no healthy coping mechanism and it developed into this severe dissociation when it comes to her thoughts on her children.
It’s heavily implied that Damien and Demetrius have very different personalities and I’m assuming that as much as Damien looks like his mother, Demetrius will be a copy of his father as a way of showing us which parent they take after. Demetrius was his fathers project and Damien was his mother’s (failed) attempt at combatting that influence. And I think that’s why her thoughts about Damien that first time are so…let’s say enthusiastic (obsessive), and why when she hears him talk about his father - a man who couldn’t even be bothered to show up after his child was in a bus hijacking - we see her thoughts jumble. We get both sides, the incredible love and the bone deep loathing and unfortunately both are directed at this softest, sweetest of beans.
TLDR: she’s complicated and needs much therapy.

Okay so I was completely off the mark with this one, but I’m not even a little upset because we got two of my new favorite pages in the whole manga:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These two pages are worth more than any angsty theories of mine. I honestly couldn’t be happier to be off the mark, I love this resolution so much. I love Yor and Anya’s mother-daughter relationship so much, and this is one of their sweetest moments yet. Chapter 75 is so good.
SPOILERS FOR SPY X FAMILY CHAPTER 74:
The discussions around this chapter have been wonderful and gut-wrenching and absolutely on point, but not enough people have talked about Yor’s part in this story:
Tumblr media
The way the chapter cold opens with one of the biggest fears a parent can have regarding their children. Yor doesn’t know where Anya is, and Eden, whom Yor trusted to keep her baby safe, has been lying to her and keeping her in the dark about what’s really going on.
And at the very end of the chapter, we get this:
Tumblr media
A news broadcast is detailing the events as they really happened. We don’t really know if anyone in particular is watching the news broadcast, but imagine if that’s how Yor finds out the truth. Not from the school, but from hearing about it on the morning news.
Yor’s daughter was held hostage by the Red Circus, a group Yor all but exterminated all the way back in Extra Mission 2. And she didn’t know until it was already over.
We don’t get to see Yor’s reaction to everything that’s happening, but I 100% believe the first two pages of this chapter are set-up for Chapter 75, when Yor finally reaches Anya and knows what happened.
I’ve held the belief for a while now that this arc was going to be followed by a reprieve where the Forgers have a recovery period of sorts to come to terms with everything that’s happened.
I’m not sure if that applies anymore for Anya, since she actually handled the ending of this arc with nerves of steel, but now I’m dead certain that it will apply for Yor.
From her stance, her child nearly died in a hostage situation involving a group Yor had a run-in with before, and Eden tried to hide it from her. She’s going to be devastated and pissed.
The most obvious response for the future will be Yor becoming a bit of a helicopter mom. Anya was in a hostage situation at the ripe old age of six, so being protective is definitely warranted. Especially once Yor hears about how Anya was right in the center of it all and nearly got gunned down by the SSS. Yor might not let Anya out of her sight for a LONG time after that since she doesn’t know Anya had the situation under control.
I honestly wouldn’t even be surprised if Yor asked Loid to pull Anya out of Eden Academy and enroll her in another school after everything that went down, and with Loid being out of town while this was happening, he might not understand why and it might become a major point of contention between the two moving forward.
All of this is theorizing from the seat of my pants, though. What do you all think Yor’s reaction is gonna be?

Spy X Family chapter 75 Thoughts:
When you thought that we're already winding down for end of a story arc, but Endo said, "Not yet."
I'm glad that Bill Watkins and Becky were also awarded with a Stella for their contributions! They're really now part of Team Anya.
My money is on that this is not the last time we'll ever encounter Billy Squire. Compared to the Doggy Crisis Arc or even the other Red Circus compatriots, it seems that Endo is putting on more focus on him by not only giving him a surname, but also giving him a back story as well as giving him a final shot in this chapter.
Hmmm.. So Becky still has a living mom but for some reason, we haven't even seen not a shadow of her in the past few chapters. I wonder if this has something to do as to why Mr. Blackbell is now the doting, overprotective man that he is right now? I hope we see a Blackbell arc soon.
I wonder though why Anya hadn't heard Twilight when the strike team were closing in? Is it because she's way too focused on Billy's thoughts?
Ahhh Damian, do you really have to say the trigger word ("friends")? Now Anya gets her mind back to her papa's mission and not as an authentic friend of yours!
But I'm seeing a glimmer of hope in Anya and Damian's friendship. But as long as they have their issues, we'll just have to read between the lines.
And Yor being Yor hahahaha! But it shows that Anya doesn't really have nerves of tungsten all the time. When she finally gets hold of her parents, she acts like a normal kid stuck in a nerve wracking situation. (And I think their whole interaction is wholesome).
Lol, looks like there won't be a Twilight-Wise fallout soon like some people have expected. They managed to take hold of Twilight and have him rushing to the scene disguised as one of the strike team. But it is at the cost of his stomach pains (maybe Twilight should see a doctor for that, because it ain't healthy anymore, right?)
And the partially unexpected main star of the show: Melinda Desmond.
My God, Melinda's reaction in the last few panels of the story deserves a whole article in itself.
She's now in the range of "crazy yandere" to "conflicted character". But by the way Endo drew that final scene makes me think that she falls on the crazy side.
This is the first time Anya has mind read Melinda Desmond... Any it just gave us more questions than answers regarding this whole debacle with the Desmonds.
Please let's just have a Yor-Melinda arc next!
I just hope the Forgers just adopt Damian at this time. The poor boy needs some wholesome parent figures at this point.

Spy x family 75 spoilers ahead!
So to start I like everyone else loved this chapter. Anya and Yor reuniting, tsundere Damian and all the kids getting stars! Plus more insight into the fucked up desmond family
But what I wanna talk about the most is Twilight’s reaction
We didn’t get a proper reunion or see Twilight get visibly upset, which is a bit disappointing, but in all honesty even if I want to see that big emotional reaction from him being protective over Anya I just don’t think we’re at that point in the story yet
Like from a meta narrative perspective the moment where Twilight finally snaps and fully gives into and accepts the protective/parental feelings he has towards Anya is going to be a HUGE deal.
It’s been built up since basically moment 1 when Twilight says he gave up hope of ever having a family, and his whole character arc feels like a slow climb to that moment. Like when he saves Anya from the initial kidnapping, when he tries to send her off, during the interview when he punches the table, etc etc. he’s fighting between the two sides of himself- the stoic spy and the family man. Even ditching his mission to run to the bus is an example of this inner battle.
I do think we’re going to get a lot more small moments like this, seeing that protective side slowly taking over and him trying to push it down for the sake of the mission. We’re also probably going to get moments of him saving Anya or Yor secretly or in disguise like on the ship. (Or secretly as far as he knows considering Anya’s telepathy)
But eventually the big moment everyone wants where Twilight stands up for Anya (and possibly Yor) as himself will come eventually. It’s just not going to be for a while bc that moment is quiet literally the culmination of his character arc
I will also say that when this moment happens his won’t be protecting his family from random terrorists. I actually think it’ll probably be against WISE in some way
*also I think him being kinda casual about it makes sense in universe. I think all three of the Forgers have a bit of a skewed perspective on what’s normal when it comes to danger and trauma. All three of them had decently traumatizing childhoods.
But Twilight specifically having spent so much time as a spy and so little time with civilians- I don’t think he exactly knows what is a normal amount of danger or trauma for a child to go through. Despite how good he is at reading ppl and all that I think to him once Anya isn’t in physical danger anymore he mentally classifies her as okay. Like once he got her out of danger with the kidnappers he was just like “alright let’s go home”. So I think to him now that she’s no longer in physical danger she’s basically fine (especially bc Yor is there to help her through the initial crying and panic)
Anyway uhhh that went longer than expected sorry lol

Spy x family Chapter 75 spoilers below the cut
(kind of an analysis)
So it looks like Melinda does love Damian, but it's being prevented of taking care of him by some exterior force, probably Donovan huh
(I wonder if its something similar with Demetrius)
Important thing: Damian finally considers Anya a friend. Very important, although Anya almost put the car before the horses there.
I mean, he probably already did before, but he is too confusing for Anya.
Loid was there, of course. "He came flying," probably exploded the other mission just to see Anya
Yor came too, and Anya cried, and my heart goes 💔
Yes, she is a child. It's easy to forget this because of how utterly intelligent and understanding of the situation she can be, always turning the situation to benefit herself. But she's just a child, between 4-5, pulling out insane moves as a way of survival
I'm still processing how Melinda does love Damian (probably).
This is ending this arc, so it's hard to try to predict what is coming next. I wish we could see Yor and Melinda interacting more on the scene, or maybe in an aftermath (?)
Of course I want to see Loid immediately dismantling his mask and crying after getting home and cuddling Anya (but this is improbable). Just wish we could see him having a more emotional reaction (besides leaving his other missions and getting between a bunch of SSS agents)
Wish we could have a bonding moment between Yor and Loid
But we were blessed with bonding between Yor and Anya, which it's harder to occur than Loid and Anya
I think the manga is devolving nicely. If you look back, we can see the evolution of everybody's character and relationship, especially then, as a family
Twilight, although still extremely efficient, putting "spy work" to the side to care for Anya. Yor questioning her assassin work. Anya strengthening the bond she have with her friends and family.
They love each other, your honor

100 Days of Graphic Novels
Subtitle: “Working 70 Hour Weeks and Commuting Means Reading But Not Writing.”
I am trying for more accountability, but, when my idiotic work schedule gets even more idiotic, sometimes it’s just my judgmental calendar of doom that’s keeping me on track. Also my cat. He judges me - harshly.
Tumblr media
Look on my missing leg, ye Mighty, and despair!
Ahem. Anyway. So many books:
Day 1: The Umbrella Academy vol 1: The Apocalypse Suite Day 2: CatStronauts: Mission Mars Day 3: Apannine War Diary Day 4: Alex + Ada vol 1 Day 5: Alex + Ada vol 2 Day 6: Visitations Day 7: Another Day of Life Day 8: Daredevil Visionaries: Frank Miller vol 1 Day 9: Punisher: Welcome Back, Frank Day 10: Scarlet Witch vol 1: Witches’ Road Day 11: Jessica Jones vol 1: Uncaged Day 12: Infidel Day 13: The Deep Blue Good-by Day 14: City of Illusions Day 15: Mockingbird vol 1: I Can Explain Day 16: Ms. Marvel vol 1: Best of the Best Day 17: X-Men Gold vol 1: Back to the Basics Day 18: Kaptara vol 1: Fear Not, Tiny Alien Day 19: Eclipse vol 1 Day 20: Defenders vol 1: Diamonds are Forever Day 21: Hellcat vol 1: Hooked on a Feline Day 22: Chosin Day 23: Elektra vol 1: Bloodlines Day 24: They’re Not Like Us Day 25: Multiple Man vol 1: It All Makes Sense in the End Day 26: Captain America: Sam Wilson: Not My Captain America Day 27: A Russian Journal Day 28: Iron Patriot vol 1: Unbreakable Day 29: Divinity Day 30: Jessica Jones: Alias vol 1 Day 31: Tales of Suspense: Hawkeye and the Winter Soldier Day 32: The Fuse vol 1: The Russian Shift Day 33: Jessica Jones: Alias vol 2 Day 34: Into the Tunnel Day 34: Jessica Jones: Alias vol 3 Day 35: A-Force vol 1 Day 36: Edge of the Spider-Verse Day 37: Descender vol 1 Day 38: Descender vol 2 Day 39: Black Panther: World of Wakanda Day 40: A Farewell to Arms Day 41: I’m Not Leaving Day 42: Green Arrow: Year One Day 43: Daniel’s Story Day 44: Aurora’s Motive Day 45: Jessica Jones vol 4 Day 46: Symmetry Day 47: Afar Day 48: Morning Glories vol 1
Day 49: One Way Ticket
Tumblr media
A math professor at a nearby university related her escape from WWII to England. Interesting not just for the political trials and hoops through which she had to jump to get herself and her family out of Europe, but also for the way that retelling, rather than primary recording, has influenced the main thrust of the story. Also: illustrated. Adorably.
Day 50: The life of Captain Marvel
I’m not saying I hated this book – I’m just saying that I’m opposed to it on a cellular level.
Day 51: Captain Marvel vol 1: In Pursuit of Flight
Did I need a mind-bleach of what I’d read the day before? Yes. Yes, I did.
Day 52: The Boy Who Reversed Himself             True story: William Sleator was my favorite author for about a year in middle school. I read every one of his books that our libraries had, and then I read them all again. Six or seven times each (to the shock of absolutely no one who knows me). This book has forever changed the way I consider catsup. And it wasn’t nearly as racist as I’d expected, flipping back through. Hooray?
Day 53: To Fight Alongside Friends
My best friend roped me into doing an online werewolf game based in WWI. I role-played as Charlie May, the author of this diary, and refused to respond with anything but direct quotes from his book. If nothing else, I entertain myself.
Day 54: Operation: Broken Wings
Day 55: My War Diary
This one is by Dov Yermiya and is about Lebanon from June 5 – July 1, 1982. I have about six books within easy reach called “My War Diary.” This could prove problematic later. (Also, despite writing about Waltz With Bashir in grad school and for my dissertation, I still don’t know enough about this conflict)
Day 56: Descender vol 3 Day 57: Morning Glories vol 2 Day 58: The Drowned and the Saved Day 59: Jessica Jones: Pulse
Day 60: Zlata’s Diary
I read this when sitting in the jail on a Friday night. There’s nothing quite so jarring as reading a firsthand account of the absolute disruption of life (and childhood, in a lot of ways), while listening to drunk sorority girls sob on their phones to their mothers and then scream about their Uber.
Day 61: Captain Marvel vol 2: Down Day 62: Avengers: The Enemy Within Day 63: Captain Marvel: Higher, Further, Faster, More Day 64: Captain Marvel: Stay Fly Day 65: Captain Marvel: Alis Volat Propiis Day 66: Carol Danvers vol 1: The Ms Marvel Years
Day 67: One Week in the Library
Please give me more weeks, Image Comics. Please.
Day 68: The Troop
Noel Clarke, I love you, but this feels like well-trod ground at this point.
Day 69: Bitch Planet
I legitimately squealed, out loud, when Kelly Sue DeConnick was on screen during Captain Marvel. High pitched. And then, because I have no game, I whacked my BFF on the arm and whispered (er, “whispered”?) “THAT WAS KELLY SUE!!” No one else was impressed by my mad comic knowledge, but, eh.
Day 70: Jessica Jones vol 3: Return of the Purple Man
Guess which superstar never read volume 2? That’s right - THIS superstar.
Day 71: Mr. & Mrs. X
Basically, I love Gambit. I’m okay with Rogue, but I’ve lived in the Deep South for too long to be completely okay with the extremes of character. And I also don’t really like Deadpool. At all. Despite all of that, I still enjoyed this.
Day 72: Secret Avengers vol 1: Reverie
Unlike this, which did NOT get better with age. Ooooof.
Day 73: Avengers AI vol 1: Human After All
Tumblr media
Did I buy this simply for this picture of Vision holding a kitten? Yes. Do I regret that? No.
Day 74: Tet Day 75: Iron Fist: Rage Day 76: Zero vol 1: An Emergency Day 77: Faster than Light
Day 78: Descender vol 4: Orbital Mechanics
I sent my BFF a copy of Descender because it’s gorgeous. Because she has even worse impulse control than me, she bought all of the other volumes and has already finished the series. I can’t even be mad.
Day 79: Lost Dossiers: Super Spy
AKA: This would have made way more sense had I realized that this was a supplement to another work… which I don’t yet own. Womp womp womp. Maybe tomorrow I’ll read the From Hell companion, just for kicks.
Day 80: Carnet de Voyage Day 81: Hype Day 82: Dancer Day 83-85: Day 86: Wonderful World of Oz
Day 87: Port of Earth
Know what I love about Zack Kaplan? He creates immersive worlds that aren’t just one thing – there’s not just one neat storyline wrapped up by the end of the trade, and there isn’t just one type of story at work.
Day 88: Material Day 89: Captain America: the 1940s Newspaper Strip Day 90: Peter Panzerfaust vol 1: The Great Escape Day 91: Cowl vol 1
Day 92: Ministry of Space
            That ending, though.
Day 93: X-Men Gold vol 2 Day 94: The Winter Soldier vol 1: The Longest Winter Day 95: The Winter Soldier vol 2: Broken Arrow
Day 96: Graphic Classics vol 22: African American Classics
I yelped when I saw that Afua Richardson, Personal Hero, had worked on this. I have a panel from her illustration of Langston Hughes’ “Rivers” (done for NPR), and it is one of my very favorite things.
Day 97: New York: The Big City
Day 98: A Wexford Childhood
You would think that a memoir covering 1915-1930 might touch on some rumbling of war. You’d be wrong. But, it was an interesting view of the changing world, nonetheless.
Day 99: Winter Soldier vol 3: Black Widow Hunt
Brubaker, why must you hurt me so?
Day 100: X-Men Rarities
There are few things that bring me such joy as the stiff pages of a 90s era Marvel trade – and, when those trades include comics with Chamber? I am so in. Now, someone explain to me how they always smell like cigarettes and wet dog, regardless of origin, and I’ll be all set.

U.S. Air Force Chief Of Staff Suggests Using Space Weapons To Combat ISIS
We Are Change
A U.S. Air Force commander has proclaimed that space weapons can now be used against ISIS—and no, this is not science fiction. This type of technology has been developed, in secret, for years. In this article, we will take a look at what some of these weapons might be, and what they can be used for, as well as some history about space weapons.
“If we want to be more agile then the reality is we are going to have to push decision authority down to some lower levels in certain areas the big question that we’ve got to wrestle with … is the authorities to operate in cyber and space,” General David Goldfein, the Air Force chief of staff, told USA TODAY.
Although, General Goldfein did not go into detail citing that the material is classified, there is enough data out on the internet to speculate what weapons could be used against the Islamic state.
But before we dive deep into the dark SAP (special access program) world of secret space weapons, here is a history lesson:
Let’s first look at a project known as Horizon, which was supposedly just a drawn up plan in the 1960’s that was our first canceled project in a long list of projects that were canceled, that seemingly depict the blueprints for a Secret Space Program base on the moon.
Next, we have the MOL (Manned Orbiting Laboratory) which is Cigar shaped.  The MOL would serve as a headquarters in space, but this project also seemed to end up in the shredder.
Then there is the air force’s X-20 Dyna-Soar space plane, which was also designed in the 1960s and was allegedly scrapped for metal.
Finally, there is a quote by Ronald Regan in his diary that makes only a little more sense when compared with a 1989, New York Times article which reported that the Air Force had shut down another planned manned space program, with a staff of 32 astronauts and a space shuttle launching facility in Colorado.
Do these defense forces potentially exist today under high levels of national security and under the black budget of 52.6 billion dollars revealed by Edward Snowden?
Sen. Daniel K. Inouye (D-Hawaii) said years prior, “there exist a shadow government with its own air force its own navy, its own funding mechanism  and the ability to pursue its own ideas of national interest-free from checks and balances and the law itself.”
Reagan said, “space truly is the last frontier and some of the developments there in astronomy etc. are like science fiction, except they are real. I learned that our shuttle capacity is such that we could orbit 300 people.”
Modern space shuttles only carry eight Passengers Maximum, so 32 or 300 would be an accomplishment indeed.
Ronald Reagan is also the same president who signed the SDI or “Starwars Defense Initiative” and gave his famous speech about how if the earth was invaded by a hostile force, we would all have to forget our differences and come together in peace.
youtube
There is also a space weapons agreement that a congressman proposed called the “Space Preservation Treaty”  in 2005, that states that countries won’t seek to weaponize space. However, Obama recently violated this agreement under the 2017 NDAA Act, and no one noticed the legislation he signed is essentially the Starwars Defense Initiative II that his predecessor, Ronald Reagan, signed calling for a space-based missile system.
However Russia and China want a Treaty on the Prevention of the Placement of Weapons in Outer Space Russian Ambassador to the U.N., Dr. Vitaly Churkin expressed.
In fact, in WikiLeaks’ John Podesta emails, an email from the former astronaut, and sixth to walk on the moon, Edgar Mitchell talks about this treaty with Podesta.
So Obama is essentially setting the stage for President Donald Trump to use these capabilities but just what are the types of space weapons that can be used against ISIS and U.S. adversaries?
The rod of god is one, the TR3B NSA/DoD/USAF Space command hyper velocity craft is another.  It is for surveillance purposes, as the craft has the ability to cloak, like this soldier running in front of a tank.  Yes, this technology exists, and this is real.  It works through bending light around an object.
youtube
ROD OF GOD: What is the Rod Of God? The rod of god is a part of the direct energy weapon family; it’s a kinetic energy weapon.
The rods are directed munitions, the higher you are (the greater your distance from the planet), the greater the kinetic energy you have.
In 2004, published in popular science, Eric Adams writes:
“A pair of satellites orbiting several hundred miles above the Earth would serve as a weapons system. One functions as the targeting and communications platform while the other carries numerous tungsten rods–up to 20 feet in length and a foot in diameter–that it can drop on targets with less than 15 minutes’ notice. When instructed from the ground, the targeting satellite commands its partner to drop one of its darts. The guided rods enter the atmosphere, protected by a thermal coating, traveling at 36,000 feet per second–comparable to the speed of a meteor. The result: complete devastation of the target, even if it’s buried deep underground. The two-platform configuration permits the weapon to be “reloaded” by just launching a new set of rods, rather than replacing the entire system.”
The concept of developing kinetic-energy weapons has been around ever since the RAND Corporation proposed placing rods on tips of ICBMs in the 1950s. Though the Pentagon won’t say how far along the research is, or even confirm that any efforts exist, citing those details are classified. The “U.S. Air Force Transformation Flight Plan,” published by the Air Force in November 2003, references “hypervelocity rod bundles” in its outline of future space-based weapons, and in 2002, another report from RAND, “Space Weapons, Earth Wars,” talks about the effectiveness of such a weapon.
In 2015, natural news reported that the several explosions in Tianjin, China were due to the rod of god, largely due to the Chinese cyber attacks and currency devaluation that took place in 2015.
In 2011, a few years prior, The New York Times reported that the Defense Department was working up new strategies to counter cyber attacks, including, as the paper reported, “a military response,” because they would soon consider cyber attacks as an act of war.  In 2015, the New York Times followed up with a report on “The Rods From God.”
TR3B:
When you first start researching space weapons one man comes up a lot in your searches, and that man is Edgar Fouche.
Whistleblower Master Sergeant Edgar Fouche (deceased) worked as an avionics engineer for the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years, and in 1998, published details of an aerial vehicle known as the TR3B that he claims was developed in secret by the N.S.A. and U.S.A.F.
The performance characteristics of this vehicle are mind-boggling, using field propulsion to reduce the weight of the craft, plasma, and traveling faster than 30x the earth’s gravity at mac 9 (6,900 mph) vertically or horizontally.
Is this possible? Let’s first answer if the speed is achievable: recently warp drive technology like this became public and the Chinese tested the leaked EM-drive patent and manufactured the device, so the technology is indeed operational. An astrophysicist claimed that we would have it within 100 years while another scientist in Britain  Roger Shawyer claimed he figured out the secret and we could reach the moon in four hours. Russia has made a similar claim, but with a nuclear-fission engine, claiming that the engine can provide a fast way to get to mars in 6 weeks.
Next, let’s talk about the possibility to generate a magnetic field for the use of propulsion.  Is this plausible? A scientific paper titled, “generating a magnetic field by a rotating plasma” proves that this is indeed possible.
Former Lockheed Martin Skunkworks Senior Scientist Boyd Bushman came out in 2012, on his deathbed, about Antigravity Propulsion Devices and how they tie into what is known as “Singularity,” which allow you to move anywhere within the universe instantaneously. He further explained how magnetics worked doing a magnet experiment with a copper pipe and aluminum pipe.
youtube
Is there any video evidence of such an anti-gravity craft being used? In Canada, released through a FOIA request, there is a video of the Avrocar, which was the U.S. army’s top secret flying saucer, tested between 1952-1961. Although the Avrocar only reached hovering heights of three feet and speeds of 30 knots.  This shows that levitation technology was actively being developed in the 1950s-60s, so it’s believed to be a prototype of the hovering craft, but it’s not the only known prototype.  Another project, the supersonic flying saucer, was declassified and was worked on in the 1950s.
youtube
Fouche says to the deniers in the video below that, “if you think these rumors are far-fetched look at the YB49 flown in 1948 and the XB70 flown in 1964, then look at the SR-74 and SR-75 Aurora which has been spotted numerous times you say that the government can’t keep a secret? Boy, you are wrong.”
Fouche says that the “SR-74 and SR-75 or Aurora” were both “replacements for the SR-71 blackbird spy plane.”
The SR-71 blackbird was developed in 1964, Fouche alleges that its replacement was created in the 1990’s almost two decades later. Before the SR-71 in 1962, there was another plane as mentioned above, the X-20 Dyna-Soar, which literally says space plane on the air forces website.  Do you really think that was the air force’s last attempt at a space vehicle?
Today the air force space command, separate from the air force, admittedly has the X-37B an unmanned space-craft that has had numerous unknown missions into space.
With this technology, combined with the rod of god, it would bring a whole new edge to the battlefield against ISIS and adversaries in general.
