Inanimate Object Characters List | Entry: 51

I have played plenty of Mario games (far from all, but I'm a not-so-often-gaming gamer in general) and I've been a huge fan of some of them, so naturally, I would not forget about the eligible characters from the Mario universe. However, since it is a franchise so immense, I doubt if I have even come across all of these characters. Thus, I will put all characters I know in this list and add new ones if I find them.

Please notify me if you find a character is/characters are misses.

Also, I'm skipping food characters, so Goomba etcetera don't count.

And to save space, I'm not adding the video games' cover images.

Now let's begin.

REOCCURING ENEMIES:

Characters: Bullet Bill, Torpedo Ted, Banzai Bill, Chain Chomp

The Bullet Bill family (bullets) and Chain Chomp (wrecking ball) are definitely eligible for this list. Funny thing is that I actually had Bullet Bill as one of my most favourite Mario enemies before I actively realized it was, once again, an object. It may have been at that point that I concluded that it's not even a conscious preference. Haha.

HONOURABLE MENTIONS:

Characters: Thwomp, Whomp, Wallop, Walleye

These are guys made out of stone, so they are not actual objects, but they are sentient regularly inanimate "things", so I'm adding them.

The mighty Whomp King (with the design he got in Super Mario Galaxy 2) was my favourite among these. I once started writing a story about him (may still finish that one day). Also, Walleye is cute.

Now we go to the next set of eligible Mario characters, which are those that occur less often or solely in one video game. For this post, I went with the European release dates.

There's two more variation of Sproing-Oing [Boing-Oing, Zoing-Oing, Dark Sproing-Oing], one more variation of Mister I [Red I] and two more guardian doors [Dorguy the Second, Dorguy the Third].

Veronica

She snores. Volume varies, but it's usually a little hard to sleep with.

Absolutely LOVES big blankets. Quilts, comforters, etc.

Gentle little grabby hands. All the time. She could be stimming, getting your attention, or just feeling a little tired. Just little grabby baby hands.

Feeds stray kitties that live nearby. She always saves table scraps for them.

She likes making pillow forts! Doesn't matter if she's alone or with friends, she has a blast making and hanging out in them.

When she's really happy she goes SPROING BOING KAZOING!!! Bounce bounce bounce!!!

JD

Secretly a giant cat person. He loves them. Especially black cats!

Buys random silly things! Like those little water toy things where you tilt it and the drops go down the slide/track or whatever

Likes autumn and winter. He enjoys taking strolls during these times, especially with Veronica.

(Thank you to @beesmeowmeow for helping me with this one) He needs noise to sleep. A fan, white noise machine, something.

He likes pillows! They're nice and fluffy

Claims that she hates cats, but then she sees one and is like "*GASP* KITTY!!! Pspsps meow meow prrrp mrow!!!" and pets it for forever

She really likes calming scents, like lavender.

She doesn't love mint all that much. Whether it's smell or taste, she isn't a fan.

Heather Duke

She likes big fluffy things. Blankets, plushies, pillows, whatever.

Does little tiptoe bounces when she's excited

Really appreciates when people listen to what she has to say. She talks a LOT and gets very happy!

Heather McNamara

LOVES plushies. Especially Beanie Babies.

Very good listener. You could ramble for hours and she'd enjoy the conversation.

Can't open ANYTHING, she is a literal child. She can't open baby gates, she can't open child locks, she can't open jars/bottles... Nothing.

Whenever he has nightmares, JD clings onto Veronica and huddles into her. It's soothing to him.

Veronica has 100% slapped JD in the face while sleeping, oops

Whenever Veronica sprawls out, JD takes it as an opportunity to cuddle/make contact. He thinks she makes a very nice pillow/blanket.

Since he needs noise to sleep, JD finds Veronica's snoring rather soothing. He's never told her that she snores, and doesn't want her to worry about it.

Veronica is very alert when it comes to JD's sleep, and wakes him up if she thinks he's having a nightmare.

They both love cuddles/close contact. Hearing the other's heartbeat/breathing, feeling the other's hands in their hair... Yes.

JD insists on cuddling, no matter how hot it is. Veronica is on the verge of dying from heat stroke.

Staying up late, making jokes, and cackling loudly

Playful arguing! They end up playfully elbowing each other and blowing raspberries, but it's all just sillay fun!

Watching movies together. Pointing out plotholes, cracking jokes, etc. During horror movies, Veronica grabs onto JD very tightly.

well. time to play some more ffx2. im gonna be honest here. i get what they were going for, and in theory it makes sense that things are more lighthearted, people enjoying the eternal calm and things changing.

but its just so jarring when you visit 1:1 reused locations (not all but many)(new kilika is great) but it has completely different music that doesnt reuse any motifs and sounds more like it belongs in kingdom hearts. its jarring and honestly not the best at times.

like i really wouldve wished for rearrangements, boppier happier versions of the original osts, or at least callbacks via samples from the old songs. again i get that the old leitmotifs were specifically tied to the melancholy and yevon and all the big big sad.

but when i go to mihan highroad and the music doesnt go SPROING BOING BOING but some boppy generic kh knock off, while im walking the exact same map as in the first game, it just feels wrong.

and then of course you have the new battle mechanics. im starting to get the hang of it but im just not sure im feeling it. it feels like i cant take a moment to think, which would be fine if you do action fighting, but its essentially still rpg menuing where casting x thing is essential to not getting your ass kicked.

but now you constantly feel rushed and like you gotta act NOW or else. if you dont cast silence in time those three magic enemies will blast your ass with fire. you want to steal but youre not wearing the right hotpants so you gotta wait for the outfit change to cast first before you can steal.

and ive heard people actually love this new fighting style. hell ive seen it praised as peak FF fighting. i disagree. it feels like two different things mashed together that just dont work well.

this is just my opinion of course. to the people that like it, good on them. i just dont know if ill want to finish this game.

Możesz też robić spro kroków dziennie, to też dużo spala!

Ważną sprawą dla mnie jest to, żeby nie ważyć się codziennie, u mnie to doprowadzało do negatywnych emocji i obżerania się, waga często sie waha albo woda odkłada się w organiźmie i jest to całkowicie normalne Napady czasem mogą sie zdarzać - jesteśmy tylko ludźmi, wtedy zamiast katować się ćwiczeniami lub wymiotować lepiej iść na spacer i się wyciszyć, napić się herbaty, bo jeden dzień na dłuższą metę nie zaszkodzi

Warto robić co jakiś czas dzień dla metabolizmu, żeby chronić się przed jego zwolnieniem, chodzi o to że jesz po prostu więcej tego dnia np tyle ile wynosi twoje zapotrzebowanie kaloryczne Najważniejszy jest czas i motywacja, warto być cierpliwym, bo wszystko jest możliwe
