RvB Survey Results Video - Favorite Character Intros

Hello everyone! I know @asphodeldreams will probably be making a post of his own about it since his blog is primarily where we're hosting all of the survey stuff, but I did want to make a particular post about this here since this has been pretty much all I have done for the past couple weeks.

This video is a compilation of all of the answers we received to the question of "Most memorable character introduction?", which we received roughly 259 answers for out of the 308 people who took the survey (full disclosure for transparency, asphodel and I also took the survey and added in our own answers. those numbers are included in the 259/308. answers where someone wrote in multiple intros were split apart and counted for each character submitted. if my math in the video doesn't add up please let me know, i did my best but math and I don't get along very well.)

If you have any questions about why I made a choice I made, or have any other questions / comments / concerns, then feel free to shoot me an ask or comment on this post! I plan on trying to make a few more videos like this for some of the other questions, but with grad school starting up next month my free time is gonna be a bit more spread around, so that will probably be a slow process. This is really more of a bonus, anyways - just something to help people visualize some of the results a bit better, doesn't actually impact when we upload new batches of results. It's also a great way for me to practice my video editing skills so I can feel justified in keeping that on my resume, lol. more detailed information about how i did the tallying / editing is under the read more (what the video refers to as “the description), but I hope y'all enjoy :)

Some characters are shown with just one clip, while others may have multiple. Reasons why some have multiple include, but are not limited to; - Being initially introduced in a mini-series, and providing a main series clip in addition - Re-introductions of the character at a later point - I couldn't find one good clip to use for the video - I really just wanted to use a second clip for that character, lol

So some characters have multiple clips, and some have longer clips because I could not find a good way to cohesively edit certain scenes.

If multiple people suggested the same scene for multiple characters, then for the most part those characters are generally all just lumped in with whoever had the most votes.

When I was initially trying to get it onto YouTube, I made a few editing changes - like putting music under some Season One clips. After giving up on YouTube, I removed all the visual effects I added, but left some of the music because otherwise the scene just sounded really quiet mixed in with everything else, and I had grown rather fond of some of the music spots. Also, I did my best to kind of equalize the audio mixing, but I definitely didn't get it perfect. Shouldn't be anything too surprisingly loud, though.

This took me Way longer to make than I would care to admit, and I had a nightmare of a time trying (and failing) to get it past YouTube Content ID, but it's finally up now and ready for all to see :)

Summary: A pitch feels more suitable than a description that matches it in tone: Coppelia is a trans dude, and has grown up obsessed with figuring out the truth about Fazbear Entertainment and his father’s death. Nathaniel followed the navigation instructions of his phone and pulled into a parking spot right in front of a four-story office building. He got out, and just to confirm things, checked the posted address against what was on his phone. He was really here: Fazbear Entertainment corporate headquarters, and it just looked so…bland.

There was no branding on the outside, just an anonymous, slightly run-down looking tower. Nate walked inside and looked at the posted directory. It was right where the email said it would be: Suite 308: Fazbear Entertainment, nestled amongst what seemed to be various other businesses and even a few doctor’s offices.

Nate supposed it made sense, he reasoned, as he rode the elevator up to the third floor. All Fazbear Entertainment did these days was hold the IP of their characters. The production of the Fazbear Frights books was handled by a ghostwriting company and all their toys were produced by other companies under license. Nate wasn’t sure if Fazbear Entertainment ever used to directly own any toy factories, but their merchandise didn’t used to be prominently branded with logos of other companies. Now that there weren’t even franchise locations to coordinate, they probably didn’t even have much permanent staff. He knew from reading court documents that they no longer had any staff lawyers, just a firm they kept on retainer.

The door to suite 308 had a sun-faded Fazbear Entertainment decal on it. Nate opened it and found himself facing a free-standing receptionist desk with three sides in the center of the room. Surrounding it, Nate counted five doors. There was a smattering of framed posters related to Fazbear Entertainment history decorating the space. Even from a distance, he could tell they were covered in dust. A relic of a previous time, when interior decoration of the office was something that mattered.

The woman working the receptionist desk looked up from her work when he entered, and broke into a big smile. “You must be Mr. Guy,” she said, as she stood up and reached out her hand for him to shake.

Nate recognized her voice from the phone. He strode across the room and took her hand. “And you’re Ashleigh, right? I recognize your voice. You can call me Nate.”

“Welcome to the Fazbear family, Nate.” Ashleigh had an excited and positive energy completely at odds with her surroundings. She looked to be around his age, too young to have worked for Fazbear Entertainment at its height. Nate idly wondered what her story was.

Ashleigh pointed to the door to her left. “Mr. Edwards is inside waiting for you.”

Stress Relief through the Power of Mindful Breathing

Introduction

Our fast-paced world has made stress a part of everyday life that is hard to escape. Of course, careful breathing is an easy and effective way to deal with it. At its core, mindfulness entails paying close attention to the here and now, accepting and recognizing one's feelings, thoughts, and body experiences without judgment (Zhu et al., 2017). One of the easiest ways to practise awareness is to focus on breathing. This can help to feel better overall and reduce stress.

Main Content

Physiological Impact of Stress 

When stressed, our bodies release hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol during the "fight or flight" reaction. This reaction speeds up the heart rate, raises blood pressure, and tenses up muscles, preparing the body to face or escape danger (Decker et al., 2019). In short-term situations, this response is helpful, but long-term stress can cause several health problems, such as anxiety, sadness, heart disease, and a weaker immune system.

Breathing Exercises for Counteracting Stress

By stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system, encouraging rest, and lowering the stress reaction, breathing techniques, mainly focused breathing, can counteract the adverse effects of stress (Can et al., 2020). Deep, slow, regular breathing helps the body relax, lowering blood pressure and heart rate and stopping the production of stress hormones.

Supporting Mindful Breathing with Scientific Evidence

The journal Frontiers in Psychology released a study that found that regular practice of focused breathing significantly improved anxiety and sadness symptoms. Another study published in Psychoneuroendocrinology showed that mindful breathing could lower amounts of cortisol, the primary stress hormone. This could help people better deal with stress and control their emotions.

Intervention / Exercise of the 4-7-8 Breathing Technique

The "4-7-8" method is available anytime, anywhere, and it is an excellent way to practise mindful breathing, which can be done quickly. It is easy to do as follows:

Find a quiet spot to sit where no one will bother.

Take four big breaths in through the nose while closing the eyes.

Stop breathing and count to seven.

Let out all of the breath through the mouth for eight counts.

Focusing on the breath and letting go of any thoughts getting in the way, do this cycle three or four times.

This method helps to breathe more slowly, which allows more oxygen into the bloodstream and calms the nervous system, which lowers stress.

Conclusion

Mindful breathing can be a life-changing way to deal with stress if you do it every day. Start with just a few minutes a day, and as get better at the skill, slowly add more time to it. Pay attention to how the body and mind change, and may feel calmer, more focused, and more robust (Toussaint et al., 2021). General health and dealing with life's stresses more efficiently can be improved if mindful breathing is a regular habit.

so michael doesn’t really remember much about before he was adopted

but he has hazy memories of a blonde boy in a yellow raincoat who was nice to him

when hannah was pregnant she asked him what he wanted to name the baby

in his mind, the name katharina was all that came up

which he thought was weird

because katharina nielsen didn’t like them very much

and he definitely wouldn’t be able to explain that she was his mom

hannah was wearing a yellow dress, and when she moved to clear the plates mikkel mistook her for the blonde boy

it felt as though this had already happened

“i think jonas is a beautiful name,” michael said

hannah nodded, turning her head to smile at him

“i like it too,”

when jonas was born, michael and hannah were both really stressed out

he was premature

and both of them were terrified of messing up

when michael looked into jonas’s wide blue eyes

he knew that being a father was what he was meant to be

michael really didn’t like the hospital

it made him uncomfortable

but he stayed for a few nights because hannah was scared

she barely slept, she just watched jonas to make sure he was breathing and safe

when the doctors finally let them go home they were both even more stressed out

jonas was an almost scarily quiet baby

the first night back in the house, michael made hannah go rest

so mikkel stayed up with baby jonas

whenever jonas would cry, he would get up to rock him back to sleep

which made michael almost faint

baby jonas was obsessed with cats

it felt wrong to see jonas making googly eyes at martha

michael felt weird with both magnus and martha around

but this just felt straight up disturbing

he couldn’t tell anyone that martha and jonas were related because no one would believe him

jonas was a very empathetic child

he could tell if something was off or someone was sad

and he could tell his dad was sad when magnus and martha came over

so most of the time he went to their house

when marigold died, jonas cried a lot

aleksander and regina has her cremated

and michael had a cat funeral with jonas and bartosz in the backyard

they both cried and hugged each other

michael thought that even though the cat was gone

they still had each other

michael tried to avoid going to the nielsens

the older they all got, the more familiar they looked

but when mikkel was born, hannah offered to watch martha and magnus

and she made michael come with her to drop off all the kids

martha and jonas held hands in the backseat

“aren’t they a little too young for that?” michael asked, scrunching up his face in discomfort

he knew it wasn’t the age, but something was wrong

he knew he was ulrich and katharinas son

but he didn’t really remember his siblings in great deatail

hannah just laughed

she assumed he was just being overprotective of his baby

magnus was very awkwardly sitting next to martha and jonas

anyways, when they got there, ulrich let magnus and martha say hello to their new baby brother

and then he asked if hannah and michael could watch mikkel while he checked on katharina, who had immediately fallen asleep after giving birth

hannah had to go to the bathroom

so it was just him and this little baby who looked a lot like his baby jonas had looked

michael felt lightheaded

he was meeting himself

thankfully, a few minutes later ulrich returned and took mikkel back from his arms

jonas was distracted during all of this

because he had spotted a street cat through the window

he loved cats

on the way back home, jonas pleaded for a cat

but hannah said no, and their collective parenting style was too at least try to agree

michael felt weird

it was like time was running out

he couldn’t sleep

but he heard a crash from downstairs and went to check if there was an intruder

it was just jonas

he had dropped a glass bottle of milk

“i was thirsty,” he mumbled, looking down at his socks, “i’m sorry,”

“no don’t apologize!” michael said quickly, “next time, just wake me up and i’ll pour you a glass.”

after michael had cleaned up the mess he poured jonas a glass of water and brought him back upstairs

“why were you up?” michael spoke softly, “it’s late.”

“i had a nightmare,” jonas whispered

“it was that you left me and mama and i was all alone.”

“that’s never going to happen, sweet boy,” michael combed jonas’s soft blond hair back from his forehead. “i would never leave you or mama.”

“can you stay with me until i fall asleep?” jonas asked

that felt weirdly familiar, but michael brushed off the feeling

the most important thing was too be here with his son

Has no text inside. A collection of images of past victims from other Incidents. These photographs should not be accessible to the public. We are still investigating how the author(s) found these pictures, as some of the victims were photographed after they were sent to the Morgue.

Her phone is ringing, ringing. Missed notifications line her screen to the brim from various sources. Once the call from an unnamed number falls through into voicemail, she scrolls until an important line of text appears. Or one she deems important enough to pause for.

She raises her head to look at the words scribbled on the whiteboard hung on her wall tucked between movie posters kept up by colorful thumbtacks.
