i recently went down a rabbit hole on the soviet players from the 90s and the cold war era and how they were basically tortured and forced to play for the red army team under the worst possible conditions and couldn't see their families for almost a full year and how they all bonded through their collective traumas and how they had to sacrifice so much to play in the nhl and potentially risk going to prison if they ever returned to their home country and it was all worth it bc they created new records and won the cup a few times together and paved the way for all of the current russian/ex-soviet players and and and...
now i'm extremely endeared by igor larionov and alexander mogilny

#miss those simple times when he could crack a silly joke and not have ten articles written about whether he’s serious about f1 or not :((
no but can we talk about how much he had to shrink himself after 2022? It’s crazy like he was having fun in 2023 but he was very restrained and you could tell it was…filtered. Corporate. Not him. Even when he tried to crack a joke (eat shit was very tame imo) or stir the pot (re lando v max) his comments got dissected to hell and the hate comments. They even tried to get Felipe Massa mad at him.
the car video he posted 2 days ago. That was Daniel. That was the Daniel i got obsessed with from DTS. That was the Daniel I heard about. Cocky. Big dick. Manspreading. But hot about it. Sometimes I wonder maybe this violent separation from a sport that didnt appreciate him as much as he loved it was a necessary evil. Maybe this was what Daniel needed to realize that. No bitch. YOU are the CUNT. You are HIM. Never shrink never surrender.
I don’t know how to really explain this, but I think Daniel Ricciardo is this odd ball of dichotomies. He has this ability to be so authentically himself and yet, still somehow be this persona. I think it all goes back to his toro rosso days when Jevs admitted that his career suffered a lot because he had this always-smiling positive Daniel to contend with. It’s also what the red bull people said about him as well — how he came into the team in 2014 and just lifted everybody’s spirit with his positivity in what was a tough season for them. And perceptive little Daniel would have realised that if he was always the nice positive guy, they’d always like him.
And then he started winning and the more daring overtakes he did on track, the more he played into the whole laid-back arrogance. The whole red bull PR machinery played such a big role into making him look like the guy who did everything effortlessly except that at his core, he was still the overly anxious guy who kept having to work really hard to do what he did. Maybe the interesting thing for me about Daniel is that the more he faked it, the more he did become this supremely confident person. He fed off the admiration of people to truly become this cocky guy that had this unshakable confidence in himself that give him ANY car and he was going to drive it real fast.
But then 2021 comes around and things are not as easy however hard he tries and so he reaches for his funny persona because it’s his protective mechanism. That first half of 2021, you can literally see him come to the realisation that people had come to resent him for being ‘funny’ and he’s spent the years since trying to escape that image he himself actively created just to prove he was serious about this sport. Despite all that, he stood there in Abu Dhabi in 2022 and tried to show that more vulnerable side of him, but even then, people still rejected him. And he tried so hard to please so many different people - his team that wanted him to be charming Daniel for the sponsors, his team that wanted him to show he was trying really really hard, the fans that wanted the old Daniel back, the vultures in the media that wanted him to show he was serious (whatever that actually is) that ultimately it simply became easier to stop sharing so much of himself.
And now that he’s walked away because, in all the mess of his last weekend in the sport, he did choose himself above all else and that was his way of reclaiming a bit of himself in a way. And now he gets to choose which Daniel he wants to be and when you’re free of the people who tried to limit you, it’s easy to go back and find that guy who used to swing his dick about. It’s easy to remember that you could once again be THE cunt.

More hypocrisy, more rants…
Fuck Helmut Marko. Honestly, why does he still need to slander Daniel? You’ve already made the decision. Not only wasn’t there a fond farewell, nor was he given the grace of knowing it was his last race. Post that shitshow in Singapore - he’s still talking about Daniel! Just be honest, this was about money and politics.
To start, Daniel’s season wasn’t anything spectacular, but he was on a run of improvements and certainly not usually bad enough to be dropped mid-season or not given a known last race. That said, per Marko, if Daniel “isn’t performing” in that dumpster tractor - fine, but then have the decency to acknowledge Checo in an objectively faster car also isn’t performing. The hypocrisy yet again. Admit, certain rules and expectations are being applied to different people.. If Daniel didn’t do enough - why is Checo still there? Objectively, if it’s about “performance” then they should both be out no? They acted like Daniel needed to perform miracles in that shit box, but fine for Checo to just get by most races (despite it potentially costing them Constructors). Never a fair fight. (Not trying to hate on Checo, just pointing out RBR/RB unfair expectations and narratives being put on Daniel). All to say, no one arguing DR should be guaranteed a seat/promotion/extension but I think most people agree (even non-DR fans) - a true goodbye or last race/season for 13 year veteran of sport - was deserved. His fucking family weren’t there because they didn’t know, he didn’t know until Saturday.
Last thing, I’m not condoning hating on LL, now or in future, but sir, read the room! You got the seat, you already won. The dream is in hand. To go around announcing you knew two weeks ago - have some humanity and emotional intelligence. Is it inexperience or is he rubbing it in everyone’s faces? He could have stopped at grateful for the opportunity, excited for the future.
Why has the whole ordeal felt so traumatic and hurtful? If we’re all feeling this, I can’t imagine what Daniel is feeling? As many people have mentioned, McLaren and 22 were bad, this feels worse. Permanent. And for all of CH’s bitching about McLaren, what’s happened here is infinitely worse. It’s like a real betrayal from a team he’s given so much to. He’s trusted them, and they couldn’t even be bothered.
ps if this was about 2025/2026 and decision was made two (or more weeks) - why did they string him along? Dangled the carrot with no real intention to follow through. The fact that they took advantage of his “Red Bull or bust” dreams is also gross. If they didn’t have intentions, they could have not tortured him all season. Maybe he could have had talks with other teams. Or enjoyed his last few races in peace.
so many should ofs, could haves….

I don't want to be a tinfoil girlie but with the amount of Maxiel I feel like both RB and Daniel are putting out feelers to see how the fans would react to him replacing checo specially because a huge chunk want Yuki or Liam. Essentially Daniel using Maxiel a bit to get RB favor (but also bc he does like max but increasing it to a deeper level) and Red Bull hoping more Maxiel content will make fans accept Daniel back in Redbull and not be mad Yuki and Liam don't get that second seat.
DISCLAIMER BEFORE YOU READ MY HOT TAKE: I LOVE DANIEL RICCIARDO MORE THAN MOST PEOPLE ON THIS WEBSITE. I HAVE LOVED DANIEL RICCIARDO LONGER THAN MOST OF YALL HAVE BEEN FANS OF THIS SPORT LMFAO. DONT COME FOR ME. anyway here's my hot take:
oh bestie. oh bestie!!!! you are 100% correct. you nailed it. you said it perfectly.
this is exactly what's happening, and i'm eating up every single crumb they want to feed me.
if you want my honest non-delusional opinion, i don't think daniel has many years left in F1. 2025 will probably be his last. not because he's done anything wrong and not because of his performance the last few years, but because he's of age and at that point in his career where everyone wants the young blood. it's not an insult to him. he's not doing anything wrong. i love daniel, i'm a daniel apologist, i have a daniel tattoo.... so don't think i'm trying to slander him. but him going back to RBR is the perfect goodbye tour for him.
i don't think he would make major moves in the rbr seat. he might outperform checo because he knows how to drive a rbr car, but i don't think it'll be anything outstanding. i don't think he'd be winning a championship with them. i don't think he'd out-perform max. but i also don't think him going back to rbr has anything to do with performance. (because if it was, i don't think they'd go with daniel.) i really think it's about letting him go out on a high with the team that he loves and regrets leaving.
it's him coming home.
it's him saying goodbye.
it's him leaving the sport the way he should have always left the sport. (because literally fuck mclaren and fuck zak brown)
BUT... if you want my DELUSIONAL opinion... HELL YEAH MAXIEL BITCHES LETS FUCKING GO NOMNOMNOMNOMNOM.

why was twitter crazy… what happened
So basically a bunch of stuff. Sorry if it's long.
1. After Chennedy Carter hip checked Caitlin Clark in their game, some obsessive Iowa fans raced over to protect her in a not so nice way. Some racist and sexist tweets have been made about Carter.
2. CC's brother and BF have some... questionable tweets in their likes to say the least. They go back to when Iowa beat LSU in the elite 8 a few months back to the win the fever had over the sky a few days ago. Basically lowkey racist and mean tweets about Angel and the league.
3. Over the past few hours an article stood out to me bc it said that what Carter had done would've been considered assault outside of basketball even though flagrant fouls have existed forever now and mind you it wasn't that bad y'all. I mean look at what happened to Angel Reese the other day.
4. Pat McAfee, a white show host, said "I would like the media people that continue to say, 'This rookie class, this rookie class, this rookie class'. Nah, just call it for what it is — there's one white bitch for the Indiana team who is a superstar." When talking about CC in his show today. Totally unnecessary and disrespectful towards Caitlin and the rookie class that have all worked so hard these last few weeks. Mind you this man gets paid MILLIONS of dollars to speak on his show.
5. There's this show called "First take" which basically talks about sports. This morning they were talking about that all women in the W were jealous of CC and Monica McNutt (orange shirt) put Stephen A in his place once he started to say that no other show talks about the W more than they do on the show by saying "Stephen A., respectfully, with your platform, you could have been doing this three years ago if you wanted to." Highly recommend you search it up on the Internet cuz ESPN deleted the vid on their YT channel. Stephen A came out with a video talking about it and so did Monica so.... 🍵
Tumblr media
I mean just look at their faces! Stephen A also said “Could I have done more? Well guess what Monica, I could have done less!” Yikes...
6. Angel Reese said that the reason the league has so many eyes on it right now is not only because of one person in a press interview. She also addressed the flagrant foul that was committed against her just a few days ago when Chicago played Connecticut. Again... I highly suggest you search the interview up if you want.
7. People fighting about the whole dilemma left and right.
An overall ugly Monday for women's sports. I'm sure I missed some other but this is the basic stuff.

So much has been made of the Halsey response
Thank you Halsey, first and foremost, for an amazing album. I don't want that point to get lost by discussing what is admittedly the NOISE surrounding this album.
The main culprits: Pitchfork and Fantano. The long and short of it, for those who are unaware: both Pitchfork and Fantano cruelly and unfairly attacked Halsey's intentions, accusing her of essentially milking their illness for the album and exhibiting "main character syndrome" or some shit. There is no way around it, these were personal attacks, and designed to shock and make a statement against her instead of engage with the project in good faith.
So many people have come out on both sides to either support Halsey or defend Pitchfork/Fantano's right to criticism.
Let me tell you something. You white-washed, hipster ass, elitist ass motherfuckers who think indie music is so superior to pop music (and liking Charli's BRAT doesn't count, you bandwagon bitches) need to get a life. All of you. You're NOT the smartest in the room, you're not smarter than Halsey fans, you're not more cultured, more correct, or even more logical. You pride yourselves on that because you've already made up your mind about pop music and refuse to bend, and I'm here to tear down that smug sense of superiority.
You fucking chumps have the gall to say, "What? People aren't allowed to criticize music anymore" Blah blah blah. Stop going to one end of the extreme every fucking time someone wants to put your bullshit "criticism" in its place. You all sound like fucking Republicans lmfao, ignorant as fuck. Republicans cry about "free speech being cancelled" because they can't say racist shit anymore. Yall cry about criticism being "dead" because you can't openly denigrate pop stars anymore.
You can't say ignorant, close-minded, sexist, rockist bullshit and act like nobody is allowed to call it out. Genuine criticism ISN'T THE ISSUE. Petty, personal and short-sighted attacks on Halsey's character IS THE ISSUE. Until you stop at the stop sign and ACKNOWLEDGE THIS FACT, I don't wanna hear anything else about defending the "right to criticize." Present criticism in good faith and then we'll talk.
I can talk about this shit BECAUSE I'VE BEEN THERE. I used to run in the same little cliques as yall. I'm so glad I'm no longer like you fucking pricks anymore because you are all insufferable people. I feel frankly embarrassed that I was ever that pretentious and condescending and I pray that all of you wake up and understand the error of your ways. THERE IS STILL TIME, the irony is that your refusal to keep an open mind about pop music means that you're NOT the so-called "music experts" that you think you are. If you were true music experts you'd be experts about ALL MUSIC not just white people with guitars. Again, CHARLI DOESN'T COUNT. CARLY RAE JEPSEN DOESN'T COUNT, YOU SOUND LIKE THE WHITE PEOPLE THAT SAY THAT SAY THEY CAN'T BE RACIST BECAUSE THEY HAVE 2 BLACK FRIENDS. It's the joke about being US sports teams calling themselves "World Champions" when they are only playing in an American league. You're not an expert on "music" while simultaneously ACTIVELY IGNORING A BIG CHUNK OF MUSIC.
You're also attempting to outsmart all the backlash by saying "Just because Halsey talks about their sickness doesn't make it a great album!!!" Let me address that claim and then I'm done with your faux-intellectual fucks, who again I'd like to remind, are not as smart as yall think. Some of you cobbled a few more brain cells together, I'll give you that, and think that this is the ultimate "gotcha" but it's not. Let's start with the elephant in the room: 1. Many of you who are saying all this shit against Halsey HAVEN'T EVEN HEARD THE ALBUM YET. So until you listen to it, I'm not even entertaining any of your fucking arguments because it's coming from a place of literal ignorance. You don't even know what the album sounds like!! 2. If you DID listen to it, it's a strong chance you didn't digest it. NO I'm not saying it's this ultra challenging piece of work that's difficult to understand, I'm instead arguing you skimmed it, didn't listen closely enough or went in with a strong bias to where you're not even in the position to hear its greatness.
Yes, it's a technically right statement that simply talking about a deep or emotional topic doesn't automatically make a work of art great. The reason why that doesn't apply here is that she DID make a great album. I like her last album more but there's no denying that this is right behind it, and in some parts even better. Not every song is my favorite, but there's no way around it, there are some PHENOMENAL songs on here: I Believe in Magic, The Arsonist, The End, Dog Years, Ego, Darwinism, and Lonely is the Muse are all better than your standard indie singer-songwriter stuff.
Finally, I've seen this over and over again: People like to overapply the rules to artists they don't like. I've seen it with Taylor too, who I admittedly don't like, but people tend to be super uncharitable toward her too. You'd NEVER disparage Sufjan for talking about his struggles with Guillain-Barre or try to say, "Just because he talks about Guillain-Barre doesn't make it a great album!" It simply wouldn't happen. So stop this rules-for-thee-but-not-for-me hypocrisy bullshit and try to get a fucking clue, please.
In short. I won't sit silently anymore as people in the indie community try to self-assure themselves that Halsey fans are the crazy ones for calling out cheap, personal attacks under the guise of "criticism." Yes, I'm sure you all are assuring yourselves that "stan twitter" is the problem and "people can't criticize music anymore" but I need all of you to wake up and get a clue, THERE IS STILL TIME, if you love music try actually opening your mind for a change and LOVE MUSIC instead of parading around your indie music bias as if it's the only correct take there can be. Try to get some more pop music in your diet before you criticize pop music. I wouldn't expect someone who likes two hip-hop artists to give good constructive criticism on hip-hop any more than I'd be able to give good constructive criticism on a jazz album just because I like Thundercat and Flying Lotus.
This was long-winded and aggressive but I'm sorry, I'm tired of pretending it's okay that hipster motherfuckers do this shit. I can't do it anymore.

Looking back at the 2024 European Football Championship, it is time to reveal my perhaps most controversial game design opinion: They need to make the goals bigger, or the field shorter. Bigger goals would be a problem with penalty kicks, but they could find a solution for that.
It's just good game design. Many games end 1:0 or 2:1, or in case of a league game, 0:0 or 1:1. At the national level, you get more interesting games more often, because there is just a lot more variation in skill, so you sometimes get a 4:2 or a really impressive and unlikely goal. Or maybe tournaments are just smaller and with fewer games, so you don't see that many interesting goals. Honestly, most of the Bundesliga is boring, you just see the interesting ones when you call in to vote for the "goal of the week" every Saturday.
Still, I think more goals would be good game design. No more games that end in 1:0, with the winning team carefully trying to save their advantage until the 90th minute.
There is no real way to get a favourable position and defend it for more than five minutes in sports like football or tennis or even basketball. Everything basically "resets" every so often, and the only resources you have are the stamina of your players and yellow cards. That doesn't mean football is a bad game, or a boring game, but it is very unlike chess in the same way that tennis, basketball, and ice hockey are unlike chess. At the same time football is unlike tennis, basketball, and ice hockey, because a game if football can have only one goal at minute 25 and end with a score of 1:0.
I think that's boring, and it's bad game design. Very often, I watch a football game and I think "this team played better than the other team most of the time, but they still lost."
It's not just me. I hear this from colleagues and acquaintances and TV sports commentators and "man on the street"/"vox pop" clips in the news after the game: They played really well, except for that one time when the other team scored that goal. The metrics on the screen during the game agree with that assessment: More ball possession, more attempts at goal, more shots that would have hit the goal – if it weren't for the opposite team's goalkeeper – but no goals.
It may sound like I am denigrating the strategy that goes into high-level football. I don't. I understand that football is more than just running really fast and kicking the ball really hard. When teams decide on their formations it's not just a matter of taste, it's not arbitrary. It's an important strategic choice that depends on the opposing team's formation and the strengths and weaknesses of the players that are available.
I also understand that games that end in 1:0 after one goal scored at minute 25, are very appealing to many watchers. There is still everything to play for. If your team scores a goal during minute 88, you even it out and it goes into overtime. You can still win! If, hypothetically, football games were to regularly have a score of 15:11 at minute 85, instead of 3:2, it would feel much more difficult to come back from that.
It's not like people don't watch basketball, or Olympic handball, or ice hockey games to the end. It's not like football fans never follow hockey. But football doesn't need to be hockey. The game "resets" more often in basketball, so football is more "strategic", in some ways. People who watch football already like it that way.
If they made the goals bigger, there would be less bitching and moaning about that one penalty kick, or that one off-side that decided the game.
It's just good game design.

daddy long dick has landed in washington baby and since this was my first time in new england I would like to discuss some of the differences I spotted/things I noticed. new england east coast mutuals get in on this
obviously I had a limited experience and I'm comparing this to western washington let me have my fun tho
okay the Main thing I noticed. like the first thing. this is gonna sound insane but you're fucking houses. WHERE is the overhang on the trim. like you have roofs yeah but there's no overhang on the gabled part. the sides of your house are getting dirty!
your trees are bigger. like the non needled trees. on the west colonizers pulled up and chopped all that shit down and we had to start over. save for a couple of trees that got spared. love it.
speaking of trees you guys don't really have very many needled trees. I can't imagine how that place looks in the fall
CICADAS I LOVE YOU. wish I got to see one. that's all.
your place names are like. parodies of what I would guess east coast city names are like. like fucking west yorkshire libertyville englandtown bullshit WHAT is that. whenever my mom and I were driving we would read the town names out loud and just laugh
everything is just older. like duh but we would see signs for buildings or cities that were established before white people even started colonizing over here. like damn!
boston accents are real. I always thought they were kind of a myth. I know i already said this but people really talk like that. love it.
FUCK PATRIOTS FANS I HATE PATRIOTS FANS. okay jk but they were being really mean to me my mom and my sister :( like guys it's just a sport. ALSO just throwing it out there that when the crowd was supposed to be loud it wasn't loud. like it was Loud but I couldn't still very easily talk to my sister. girl at the seahawks games you can't even Hear over how loud everybody is. we cause earthquakes over here bitch fuck your team!
where are your birds.... I didn't see many birds and I certainly didn't hear them. where are they.....
your houses just generally look cooler I'll say that. like most of ours are all very 1970s suburban but you guys have a nice wraparound porch victorian ish style thing going on with a lot of yours. but you could do with more color. and less of the fake window shades.
dunkin vs starbucks. we all knew this. but what I Knew but wanted to See was that yall don’t have coffee stands. nor coffee shops coffee Stands. I'm pretty sure it's a pnw thing that we have little tiny coffee places that are only drive thrus and are usually manned by one singular young blonde white woman who is running that shit like the navy frankly. if you want a coffee you can get a coffee. or a redbull charger or a lotus. which my sister's friends have never heard of but they're not a diverse sample
I'm sure this is probably just the area we were in but the lack of estate sales. disappointing
but on a similar note I'm pretty sure this was just this one person but we saw signs for a "tag sale" and my mom and I went obviously but it was just a garage sale. tell me if this is a thing yall say. listening and learning.
your water tastes like shit
washington is not super walkable but the places I was in new england were somehow less walkable. which I don’t get bc your towns were all established when people had to walk or take a fucking horse everywhere so what gives
I learned that when you order a mocha at dunkin it's not implied that it's a a latte. black coffee and some chocolate is not a mocha I fear....
think that's all I got I'm sure I'll post more in the coming days. overall it was nice but unforch I don’t think I would live there... I like my state. bless.

I don't think Europe has the same soccer mom culture as US (correct me if I'm wrong) but I know Richard is a big football fan and if Maxime is playing, I can just imagine it Richard being the bitchiest soccer mom dad ever!
Going all out in his support and criticism. Constantly being told to keep quieter. And just generally having "bitch, please" attitude whilst sitting in a shade, dressed in either the most random clothing ever or a custom jersey that says Kruspe at the back in support of his daughter and just beyond frustrated by other incompetent kids and not being able to smoke.
I know the phrase, but i haven't any experience on the US culture of it (other than watching the odd episode of 'Toddlers and Tiaras' 😳), so can't comment on how same or different it is, but in general, sure there are very active and excited parents in Europe (well, in the NL i know some stories..😊) too who are very involved in their kid's sports and there have been sportsorganisations (again at least in the NL) who told parents to stop getting over involved and harassing referees and other teams etc.
That said, I know we like to think of Richard as a bit of a drama-queen, and i'm sure he would get very excited if one of his kids would be involved in a sport (maybe even wrestling, wouldn't that be something 😊), but i think Richard may be much more level-headed than we give him credit for, and would be very supportive of what his kids do, without being nasty to other kids...
also, I think he really changed over the past years, and from what we see on stage is in a much better place right now than even 3 or 4 years ago, and even takes little mishaps on stage much more relaxed than in the past... one of the main reasons why i would love a Rammstein documentary, because we always quote from old interviews or the 'Rammstein in Amerika' documentary and think that is what the guys are like but those are all many years old by now...i'd really love an update about where the guys are now 🌺

The person talking about how annoying it is people bitching about the whole team orders thing. The issue is social media and Netflix. Back in the day drivers didn’t have this kind of attention and also social media was definitely not what it is today. It was barely a thing and F1 didn’t have as much of a reach as it does these days.
If those people complaining about Lando and team orders put on a headset and took the place of their engineers they would shit themselves and wouldn’t know what to do. If they sat in the seat of the drivers that would be even worse. I find it amusing when some of these spectators/fans complain about decisions drivers and teams make and try to act like they know better than the drivers, engineers, team principals, and so on.
Those formula 1 drivers are a different breed. They are in a sport that is like no other. Driving cars that are insanely fast, are on teams but they have to work together but also still competing against each other along with the rest of the grid. They can put on their helmets and hate every driver on the grid for however many laps and once they cool down after the race they can go back to being genuine friends. They are all hungry to win, they all know they may never get the chance but every single one of them wants a win more than anything on this universe. They put themselves through so much and missed out on so much for a maybe chance to make into F1 and they know their seats are never fully guaranteed if they aren’t pushing 100%+. They know the dream can end in a single moment they know they are putting their bodies and lives on the line. They have no privacy. Their lives are being scrutinized, and put under a microscope. Their families, friends, girlfriends or wives are being judged as well. People speculating about shit that doesn’t even matter at the end of the day.
Why can’t people just enjoy the sport?Support their favorite team, driver and have fun? Oh but that means they won’t get as much engagement on twitter.
I again have nothing more to add. Simply lovely anon

I’m a sports gay and at my core I hate any team that has been doing well for years like the chiefs so I for one welcome Travis’s little bitch tantrums on the side of the field. Throw that helmet son show us how “passionate” you are while you and Mahomes take Ls from shitty teams like the packers and raiders. I’m still pro Tayvis but I get a little gleeful watching them lose. Taylor has nearly everything she could ever want in this world it’s good for her to watch her bfs team suck.
-signed a lifelong lions and cubs fan who has taken many Ls in life
oh god that’s a LOT of talk for a lions fan god damn but i’m glad you’ve found a silver lining in travis’s little bitch fits

hi i have a question: why do lots of people hate the leafs/leafs lb? like i'm new to this but from what i've seen the leafs are a good team at least historically. and they have good players this season too.
and the leafs lb is one of the more active lbs on this site. i actually feel like everyone's so nice to each other there. people are always liking and reblogging each other's things.
but then others are like i hate the leafs (even if their team beat them) and like leafs lb is so annoying i had to block the tag, yadda yadda. like i don't get it ?? and i was just wondering if you had more insight because i love how you analyze some of these things! also this isn't specifically about one team, but i saw a lot of hate after the last few games.
i don't know that a lot of people do?? lol, i don't pay attention to nonsensical drama between fanbases of teams usually, but ESPECIALLY here on tumblr, i don't give a shit tbh. if someone is rude on my posts, i'll just bitch back and block them or not even bother responding. leafs lb as a tag is not even a place i go personally, i mostly just use that tag for people following me to blacklist if they want or follow along, and a lot of mutuals make posts with it too that i happen to find funny.
i think a lot of people just hate the leafs and leafs fans in general (not that i can blame them for hating a specific part of leafs fans bc. me too! but i also hate all the uncles of all other teams too, just that vibe of person.... ugly and annoying and negative sofndklsj) but. the intenser rivalries and esp in the heat of the game like.. idk i'll complain about other fans too and then be fine 5 minutes later. leafs are hated because they're an original six team and have a LOT of fans just everywhere and many random rivalries and besides that... in sports, a lot of people don't need a reason to feel hateful toward every other team so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. it is what it is. block button is your best friend on every website, imo.
