My doctor once told me that everything our body handles, stress, anxiety, pain, ect. Is all in a giant tube. And as these things get worse, the tube fills up. So if you have chronic pain or anxiety, the tube is always pretty filled up. And when you add a new pain or stress (like binding) and the tube overflows and splashes extra pain and breakdowns everywhere.
That being said, all you can really do is try to seriously up your pain and stress resilience and treatments, and hope you make enough space to allow for the binding.
Personally, I found that if I wear more male-cut clothing, wearing a compression undershirt (NOT a binder. Just like the basic ones you find at like sportcheck)+shirt over top helps smooth things out enough that I can manage most of the dysphoria without a binder. I should specify that I do NOT use a bra with this set up UNLESS I plan to be active. By not wearing a bra I 1) take away a source of pain for me (H cups mean that the bra will Always dig in), and 2) it allows me to position my tits in a way that reads less as "H cup cleavage" and more "Moobs". Of course, as with any advice YMMV.
does anyone else with chronic pain find that with the constant background of pain their tolerance for wearing a binder has gone way down?
I used to be able to all day without issue but as my chronic pain has worsened I find it gets painful a lot more quickly, the same with sports bras or bralettes. At first I thought it was the extra effort of using the wheelchair but I experience it even just at home without my chair :/ anyway I've never seen it talked about but that is the main reason I don't bind or wear a bra anymore

Supply Chain Management Transparency Campaigns
“I want to buy clothes which are made under fair working conditions in safe factories. “
“Operating in the dark and keeping factories hidden from public scrutiny is unacceptable.”
“Like most Canadians I was horrified to learn about the 1,129 garment workers killed at Rana Plaza in 2013 and I want to take action to prevent another disaster.”
“I am calling on you to publicly disclose the specific names and addresses of the factories around the world you use to make the clothes I purchase in Mark’s, SportChek and your other stores.
• Could you please tell me which, if any, of the 67 factories that you use in Bangladesh have completed all the repairs needed to make them safe, as recommended in the building and fire safety inspections?
• Can you please tell me what your company is doing to ensure that workers in these factories earn living wages, and are able to freely join trade unions?”
USW Campaign: No More Operating in the Dark: Hold Canadian Brands Accountable
“There is a growing trend of global apparel companies adopting supply chain transparency—starting with publishing the names, addresses, and other important information about factories manufacturing their branded products. Such transparency is a powerful tool for promoting corporate accountability for garment workers’ rights in global supply chains. “
“Transparency can ensure identification of global apparel companies whose branded products are made in factories where bosses abuse workers’ rights. Garment workers, unions, and nongovernmental organizations can call on these apparel companies to take steps to ensure that abuses stop and workers get remedies”
“Publishing supply chain information builds the trust of workers, consumers, labor advocates, and investors, and sends a strong message that the apparel company does not fear being held accountable when labor rights abuses are found in its supply chain. It makes a company’s assertion that it is concerned about labor practices in its supplier factories more credible.”
“The need for information about factories involved in production for global brands has become painfully clear in recent years through deadly incidents that have plagued the garment industry”
Human Rights Watch, April 20, 2017: “Follow the Thread: The Need for Supply Chain Transparency in the Garment and Footwear Industry ( 20 pages, PDF)

my only thought currently is renga in canada
i’m canadian myself, and sometimes the winters can get pretty cold (coldest i can remember is -45°C/-49°F). but i’m also the idiot who goes out in a hoodie when it’s -5°C/23°F. and since langa snowboards, i’m willing to bet he does that too
so now i’m just imagining it being like. -15°C/5°F, langa just has a jacket thrown on over his hoodie and is wearing a beanie, meanwhile reki is completely bundled up head to toe in stuff they got from sportcheck (shut up lemme be canadian) and langa just going “it’s not that cold?” and reki is just “shut up you snow man! take me home now please we can go snowboarding tomorrow >:(” (even though that’s literally perfect weather what the fuck reki)
renga in canada. yeah
#renga#sk8 renga#sk8 anime#reki x langa#langa hasegawa#reki kyan#sk8 the infinity#canada#canadian#no bc like#reki in canada is the funniest concept#can i see reki building a snowman please?#CAN I HAVE THE ENTIRE CREW DOING A SNOWMAN COMPETITION#PLEASE SOMEONE MAKE THIS

If the bad kids were normal teens working at the mall instead of actual heroes
Kristen and Riz work at the Starbucks
Riz works the drive through and Kristen the counter
Riz takes back to back opens and closes bc it’s not like he’s sleeping anyways
Kristen mainly works morning so she has an excuse to not be a at church
Fig, Gorgug and Tracker all work at the Hot Topic
Someone decided Tracker could be a supervisor despite her being only a year older then Gorgug and Fig
Adaine and Ayda work the bookstore
Ayda has some weird connections to the owner so she’s been working there since she was like 14
Ayda hired Adaine bc she was spending so much time there might as well pay her for it
Fabian works at the zumiez and gets a real extra sugary drink from riz like every morning
Ragh works at the Sportcheck but quits and starts working at the hot topic after he comes out. It’s totally against type and confuses every thirteen year old who walks in.
Tracker and Kristen spend their lunch breaks just hanging around the other at their job. It’s gross.
Adaine also tutors in the Starbucks at least once a week.
She knows fig bc she was helping Gorgug at the start of the year. Fig also is weirdly good at helping Gorgug understand his homework.
Skrank and Shelford work the cellphone kiosk
Zelda works at Claire’s w Penny
Aewlwyn works at Sephora mainly for the employee discount

Where did you get your weighted blanket from? I've wanted one for so long
Kat got theirs at SportCheck, they don’t seem to have them in stock anymore though. I’ve seen a few Showcase, and I’ve heard that chapters and Costco occasionally carry them as well
