BRACKET D
Roseate Spoonbill (Platalea ajaja)
Pink spoonface.
VERSUS
Hoatzin (Opisthocomus hoazin)
Their chicks have little fingers and claws on their wings for climbing. Also, they produce bacteria in their weird enlarged crops that are ONLY found in there. Their crops are so big that they don’t really fly. They smell like manure. They’re like if cows were birds if cows had claws and were super colorful.

Hiya Ninja! Before I get into the asks, I wanna say that I love yer art and ocs! You're one of my big inspirations and I'll probably melt if you actually reply xD Alright, into the asks, Mister bastard spoonface, Vincent, Have you ever heard any last words from a victim that made you feel just a bit sad? Lucerna, what's your favorite book? Mines personally 'Coraline' although it's been awhile since I've read it. Roscoe, can I give ya some behind-the-ear scratches,ya big fluff ball?
Aww! Thank you so much!!! 8′D
Vincent: Not really~ it’s pretty much the same old song and dance...though I love when they beg fer their lives~
Lucerna: I do enjoy the novel,” Rebecca”, but I do enjoy mysteries such as “I, the Jury”.
Roscoe: So those two get interestin’ questions and I get treated like an actual animal. Get lost!

Stop Watching the News and Read About This Book I Like
Tumblr media
The government is very spooky right now. And I don’t just mean America--to make a long story short, populism is alive and well in the wake of the refugee crisis. And in a lot of ways, I’m a huge fan of addressing the major political and social upheaval that’s going on in the United States and all over the world right now. I’m definitely not a let’s-just-not-think-about-it-and-it’ll-go-away kind of girl. However, I still promised myself that I would make a point of blogging about things I like, as opposed to complaining about the coming apocalypse.        So, I’m gonna talk about Mister Spoonface, a short novel written by Rutgers University’s Writer in Residence, Paul Delaney. Personally, I think Mister Spoonface explores some really neat themes in an awesome and engaging way. So, for a fun challenge, I’m gonna try to do what  the book does in my summary of his book--make what could be a long story short, fun-weird, poignant and punchy.
Mister Spoonface is about a guy who is sad because he really wants kids but he’s 37 and single, and doesn’t have any. What he has instead of kids is a host of father issues, which when triggered, send him over the edge, causing him to track down the kids he biologically fathered as a sperm donor. This goes about as well for him as you probably think it should. Spoiler alert: He’s spent time in prison by the end of the story. But Fred learns a lot on his journey, and so did I! Reading Mister Spoonface taught me that having father issues that you don’t quite know how to resolve can be hard to deal with, and that rejection can make those difficult feelings even worse.
However, I think what I most appreciated about Mister Spoonface as a writer is that reading it made me feel like if I ever wanted to write a story that isn’t of “traditional” length, that that’s something I could do, because people would read it and love it. The possibilities are endless!
TL;DR: I tried my best. If you like books about fatherhood and child rearing and how modern science messes with sex and with it’s consequences then you should try to read Mister Spoonface when you get the chance.
