Ulan’s party is on break because homebrew settings are a pain. To review, Ulan has, more or less, a dragonmark of storm. In this setting it just means she’s from the evil southern empire, but left because dragonborn aren’t Supposed to have dragonmarks. Because eugenics and class and reasons.

Pangako’s party is from Eberron. This is the setting dragonmarks are actually from, so there’s all these connections to the Draconic Prophecy and cool magic things that can only be operated by dragonmarked people and dragonmark-exclusive spells and social perks and suchlike.

Nobody in Pangako’s party has a dragonmark.
