nightbringer lesson 41
Tumblr media
Welp. That sure was a lesson. As always, my unfiltered thoughts and spoilers are below the cut. There will be screenshots, you have been warned.
Tumblr media
Everybody still doesn't know we were gone. The only one who is aware of the fact that MC was in a different timeline is Solomon, as far as we know. It's possible that someone is hiding their knowledge, but I see no evidence of that currently.
HOWEVER. All the bros are SUPER clingy. Lucifer is constantly getting on their case about the fact that they can't leave MC alone. And at one point, he says he's feeling inexplicably giddy and he thinks that's what his brothers are feeling, too. So there is something that's changed and they can all kinda feel it... but nobody knows what it is and they all kinda just brush it off.
There's a lot of "huh we just saw each other but for some reason..." kinda stuff.
When Luke first sees us, that poor boy just bursts into tears. Simeon wants to pet our head, but we can also choose to hug him.
Tumblr media
I have been known to have this affect on children, but still.
Overall, the brothers are being very much themselves. Beel is eating things and relating everything to food, Belphie is sleepy, Asmo loves pretty things, etc etc.
Tumblr media
See what I mean? We did have some excellent one liners like this and I'll get to more of those lol.
My point is, nobody is acting off except for the thing where they all react a little weirdly to MC.
For a good chunk of the lesson, I was like... and where the HELL is Solomon after all this, huh?? But I'll get to him, too.
Because guess what? Diavolo has had another great idea and this time it's... the RAD Science Fair!!!
...
WHAT.
This feels very much like the usual thing they do where MC always has to have some kinda goal that requires them to spend time with each brother individually. I'm still not entirely sure how that's gonna shake out with this, though.
There are seven categories or "fields of study" as they're called. They all start with Devildom, so it's like Devildom math, Devildom geography, etc etc.
Diavolo tells them that the student council members are required to enter.
So they spend some time thinking about what category they want to go for.
There's this part where they're all heading home from RAD and MC starts to leave with Simeon and Luke. They tell you that not long ago, Simeon and Luke tried to go "home" to the HoL. Weird. All very weird. They all decide to go to a cafe instead.
They're talking about which category they're going to choose and then... Thirteen shows up!
Tumblr media
Thirteen is so excited to see MC she has to give them a hug! Huh. How weird. (It's not weird, my love, you can throw your arms around me anytime.)
ANYWAY, they have a whole discussion and I loved how involved she was. Though we never have enough Thirteen content. And of course, she's still not dateable...
Then we find out that Lucifer has just chosen his brothers' categories for them anyway. MC gets to choose who they want to pair with. I chose Mammon, but I don't know if this actually matters or not. Usually I go back and try different options, but I decided to leave this one for now to see if it seems like it's going to make a difference in upcoming lessons. I'll report back if it seems to change anything later.
At this time, you also find out that Diavolo has decided to enter all seven categories, too. Barbatos is also entering, but only three categories. I almost lost my shit at this part but at least Barb gets to do only three. Diavolo is a crazy man who enjoys doing this sorta stuff, but Barb needs to take it easy he already works to much!
And that's basically it! There's this one cute part where you're finally at the HoL where you can choose to hang out with a set of brothers. No matter who you choose, it's a cute little scene and it always ends saying you had a lovely time together~ (Personally I thought the one with Asmo, Belphie, and Lucifer was the most entertaining lol.)
You talk to Solomon on the phone at some point too and he tells you...
Tumblr media
Yeah. I was like ARE YOU KIDDING ME. GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW I NEED YOU.
And then he hits us with this:
Tumblr media
And I was like, fine I forgive you.
BUT THEN. Spoilers here for the locked lesson (41-A, not the hard mode):
The locked lesson is of your very first night back. You're in your room at the HoL with Solomon. He tells you he's going to stay the night because the fact that the two of you suddenly appeared in this timeline might make things unstable. And if you're together, it'll be easier to tell if something's going wrong. Sounds like a feeble excuse to me, old man. I know what you really want.
But he also says this:
Tumblr media
OH. Here I am like, it's a couple hundred, maybe a couple thousand? NOPE. SEVERAL MILLENNIA.
But then the brothers burst in and they're like we are not going to let you stay here alone with MC! So they have a gaming tournament in the common room.
Then when it's really time to go to bed, Lucifer stops you and Solomon before you get back to your room. He straight up kisses you on the forehead and says sweet dreams with a stupid smug grin before leaving and Solomon is like huh. That just happened.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
YEAH WELL.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Solomon is back on his, you'll never be mine bullshit. (I'm not blaming him, it's not his fault, but it bothers me how often this narrative comes up because we never get the choice to resolve it. By telling him how much we love him.)
Of course if you tell him to cheer up, though...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah, right after this we got a fade to black because you know he might've been talking about something innocent, like a kiss. But if I'm left to fill in the blank myself... well, let's just say I'm still in my smut mode.
Spoilers for the hard lesson now:
It's silly times with the Little Ds! I'm just glad we got more Dia and Barb content, to be real with you. They're pretty cute with the Little Ds.
Tumblr media
Right after Barb says this, looking super aggrieved about it, Diavolo just laughs happily. Classic.
Extra stuff:
After the second story node, you get to see a chat between Raphael and Simeon. Raphael tells Simeon that Michael has summoned him, so he needs to go back to the CR for a few days. Simeon says okay and hopes that everything's all right. Then he tells Raphael to tell Diavolo. Raphael is like why? And Simeon says you're an exchange student from the CR, you have to get his permission to leave. And Raph is basically like okay, fiiiiiine lol.
Also, there is a very brief moment at the end of the last story node where we see Simeon acting odd. He's not really doing anything, he's just sorta grunting... like grh and frowning. If you ask him if he's okay, he says he's fine, he must not have gotten enough sleep. You get a chat between Luke and Simeon where Luke also asks him if he's okay and Simeon gives him the same excuse.
Sooooo what does any of this mean? I have no idea. Is it possible that the hard mode focusing on the Little Ds means there may be more to the Little Ds coming up? Is Simeon acting weird somehow related to Michael wanting to see Raphael? Does any of this Science Fair stuff mean anything or is it just another tactic to have MC spend time with their bro of choice? When is Solomon coming back? Why doesn't he have to enter the Science Fair? Simeon said that Diavolo wanted him and Luke to participate, so what about Solomon? Is he really out there gathering herbs? That feels like a weird thing to be doing at this particular moment.
And perhaps the most telling of all, what it does mean that this version of our characters remember things from the timeline we just left as if it only just happened to them?
All through the last two seasons, I have been trying to figure out why the characters from the past seemingly had memories of a future they haven't experienced yet. And now it's happening again. You could say they remember those past events, but they don't really seem to, do they? And even so, we now have confirmation that it would have been MILLENNIA ago for them. So this feels less like them remembering something that happened and more like they're just getting feelings that are related to the things that MC just experienced in the "past."
Ugh, okay, if I keep going I'm gonna make myself crazy. As always, we have not enough info and more questions than what we started with.
Onto my fave one liners:
Tumblr media
Mammon's response to this is "Yikes!" And like... yeah, but damn Lucifer that's one hell of a threat lol.
Tumblr media
Barbatos! Don't lump me in with them! :(
Tumblr media
That was me in high school.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This part was just cute and wholesome in my opinion. This is the found family content that keeps me coming back to this game.
Anyway, after everything, I still just wanna know...
... where the FUCK is Nightbringer?

Thoughts and spoilers (with screenshots) for Haunted Castle Revisited below.
The intro cutscene made me laugh. I wish it didn't, LOL. It's really awkward.
Tumblr media
I'm really perplexed that they didn't adjust Simon's intro cutscene sprite. Selena's is totally different - they don't look quite right standing together.
Tumblr media
Interesting choice to give Selena's sprite purple hair. Her dress is very pretty!
(He holds her........ that's a nice touch..... my blorbos........)
Tumblr media
Simon's in-game sprite is very nice!
Tumblr media
Gameplay feels fun and easier than the original! My only grievance with Simon's movement is that he sometimes needs a moment to register that I'm crouching (maybe it conflicts with a whip strike input?) The backgrounds in particular are especially beautiful. I love the spritework and parallaxing. It harnesses the dark gloom with high contrast colors I love so much from other titles like Bloodlines, Rondo, CV3 and ReBirth.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm perplexed by some of the choices... like gravestone crosses in the trees? Weird, but OK.
Tumblr media
Climbing on chandeliers is very Super Castlevania 4 and I'm here for it!
Tumblr media
They made some fresh and engaging changes to the tedious bits of some levels. All of the bosses are improved, too! Each were challenging in their own way (barring Medusa, maybe--crouch and strike and the fight will end quickly.)
The Frankenstein's monster fight had a lot of neat additions and cycles. Really enjoyed that one - it stands out in my mind!
Tumblr media
Dracula's second phase is actually incredibly challenging in this one, as opposed to the original. It's a little hard to hear the remastered music over the sound effects. I listened to them afterwards from the menu and they're really good. Original Cross Your Heart is still my favorite! Can't be beat. But truly Bloody Tears sounds incredible with the electric guitar. Chills. I'm curious why they removed the bit where you go into like... idk how to describe it. Like an alternate dimension and fight harpies for a certain amount of time? I would have liked to see that in this version. Speaking of removed things: not sure how I feel about the part at the beginning where it's normally the rainfall/brick wall obstacle being replaced in the way it was. Its changed version is equally as tedious, in my opinion.
The Stopwatch was also removed as a subweapon. I can understand why - it made some fights very trivial. The fleamen... lol they're just so excited to be there, hopping around in a giddy, non-threatening way. The bridge connecting to Dracula's castle was much easier than the original. I didn't feel like one wrong move and I'd plummet to my death.
Dracula's coffin room has changed - poor Selena is laid out on top of Dracula's coffin, unconscious! She isn't present during the fight in the original game.
Tumblr media
When Dracula's second form appeared I literally gasped out loud. It was totally unexpected! And to have Selena be part of the fight (floating behind) was a really nice touch.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hahahah when I first played I didn't realize I could catch Selena after the fight ended. I let her fall to the ground (which was VERY funny to watch) thinking a cutscene would play... it's only when I watched someone play it on YouTube I realized that you can have Simon stand under her and he'll catch her in his arms. (I played it a second time just to make sure I caught her. I'm going to have to draw this... my dear OTP... I'm so df djfbgdfjfg)
Tumblr media
Like the first cutscene, the final cutscene felt a little awkward, too. And Selena has blonde hair on her cutscene sprite, as opposed to the purple in-game sprite? She's so pretty, though. Q_Q Can't be mad about that.
Tumblr media
Overall the vibe of this game is really amazing. When I first played The Adventure ReBirth, I thought to myself that it was a really amazing way to handle a Classicvania remaster. At the time, I told my spouse that I would love to get a new Castlevania entry--or another remake--of that style. Konami delivered in one of my very favorite titles. I'm so happy!!
Highly recommend this remake. Solid 9/10 from me.
( If you're feeling brave, try the original, too. ;) )

Extra Extra Initial thoughts about Furiosa now in bullet point format Summary the movie made me want to write several essays about George Miller's brain, but also I wish somebody had rained him in just a little bit. Spoilers Ahead!
-It was super obvious that George Miller was trying to expand images that he couldn't show in the first (fourth?) movie. Speciallyyyyyyyyy the History Men, Miss Giddy in Fury Road was a character by herself, but now the archetype is well and truly established with a very specific cosplaying Saruman in the desert with tattoos vibe. Also showing in detail the other two citadels, showing the green place, showing the absolutely vile way that the wretched live, going in depth with the war boys million other things as well. I personally loved it and the picaresque sense it gave the movie.
-The citadel looked soooooo similar to Fury Road it was eerie, since everything else looked so different. But I think it made an important point about stagnation and how the men at the top will keep killing the world for as long as they possibly can only even changing their methods when forced to.
-There's a whole extra movie in the vault about how exactly the wives that were there ended up disappearing. how the politics of it changed from women desperately trying to stay there to have the high life to five women deeply committed to their own liberation (with little Cheedo being the only detractor in retrospect when she is spooked by the wider world). I feel like there is a whole lit fic novel in there about them reaching a breaking point. Maybe a situation where Joe throws out all of them and only keeps the very very best because I counted a whole 11 woman in that vault, maybe the Wives from Fury Road are kidnapped all since wretched woman would not be able to give birth without any deformities? Is Angharad that inspiring? I don't think it's the first one because the fact that woman that chose to be there then decided they didn't want to live as things is much more powerful
-the other extra movie is how exactly Furiosa befriended the wives since she actually didn't spend that much time in the vault itself. I did feel it weakened my favourite reading of Fury Road a little bit, but oh well that always happens with new instalments.
-Talking about Furiosa I'm actually so deeply sad that they casted Anya Taylor Joy for this, not even because she did a bad job, although I think Young Furiosa did a much better job, but because I have watched Queens Gambit so many times that her mere presence made me think about the movie in Doylist terms. She also just seems too Holywood? I don't know there was something about her face that made me think that she was CGIed it was too smooth. Did she even shave her head? I felt Furiosa would not have let it grow out in between escaping the vault and joining the war rig crew, and don't tell me she couldn't, everyone else had short hair Praetor Jack had a nice salon haircut. But the acting itself was good! I actually think it was an effects and direction issue.
-Since we are talking about casting Chris Hemsworth did work for me and I'm questioning if I'm having internalized misogyny about him working better than Taylor. Maybe it was the copious amounts of beard, or that he wasn't the main character but I could really inmerse myself in his character and his parallels to not Furiosa, he was a fucking lying piece of shit about that, but to Immortan Joe. Can't quite articulate waht it was exactly but I think it hit whatever Miller was trying to hit with him. Although my favourite casting was the people I didn't know from anywhere, specially Mary Jo Bassa and the Biker Crew. Burn down the media establishment where we even see actors outside of their characters, it ruins the movies.
-Most viscerally hated character from that movie was the organic mechanic though, instant visceral disgust coupled with professional disdain at this point. You are trying to tell me you couldn't even try to steam the bleeding of the man's throat? you are trying to tell me you are giving birth on the floor like a fucking amateur? he probably didn't even know the anatomy necessary to start trying to close a neck wound. And it's cannon now that he didn't create either Immortan Joe's or Rictus breathing apparatus, because they already had them before the prisoner exchange. Absolute charlatan, no this has nothing to do with me still being pissed as hell as to how he treated Angharad what are you talking about? There's one man in the movie that instantly made me think in Watsonian terms I hate his guts so much.
-And in general I felt the hypocrisy of even the men trying to be kind to Furiosa much more keenly in this movie, which is to say that I did like Praetorian Jack as the pinnacle of the archetypical road warrior and parallels to Max are very interesting and I adored how it created even more parallels to Furiosa and Max's character development in the two movies. But, I don't know, there's something about how he carried himself with Furiosa that rubs me the wrong way I just can't quite place how, might need a rewatch. Anyway Furiosa's crush on him that honestly seemed pretty unrequited from his part was fun, although I hope people don't make it the most important part of the movie (it honestly reminding me of Cheedo and the Dag, they even had a similar was it a stolen kiss moment? but I digress, the parallels between him and Max were much more interesting)
-Back to the topic of the wives there was a moment in the beggining when Mary Jobasa didn't kill the woman who claimed to be a mother and then she betrayed her, which both shows the kind nature of the green place, how it really doesn't work like that in the wasteland and how exactly the vuvalini might have been so diminished in numbers. But my favourite part about this scene was when she said "I'm not to blame" that had to be on purpose because I wanted to shout at the screen " THEN WHO KILLED THE WORLD?" so bad. The fate of the world really hinges on the simplest choices since without that little bit of snitching they just get to go home.
-Honestly just Mary Jo Bassa appreciation, she died on the third day but damn what impressive three days. If I write fic it's going to be about her and Furiosa's other mother, who made the movie pass my personal Bechdel Test with the true purpose of the original Bechdel test, to woman talk to each other in a way that let's you see the Lesbianism in their eyes.
-The scenery of the green place definitely deserves a mention as well, it felt so tiny! it felt so different from everything else of course, they didn't linger to preserve both the runtime and the feeling of it being a place almost from Furiosas's dreams. But from space it felt tiny! the space shot of the outback with the most minuscle amount of green made it feel so deeply vulnerable, and the presence of the crows everywhere made me genuinely emotional. It did clearly have enough of everything to survive and for people to thrive and be super healthy, but it seemed like every millimeter was planned to the last detail to be of the best use.
-Honestly I think the relationship between Furiosa and her mother was the beating heart of the movie, I definitely liked the first third more than anything, it felt the most like something new and fully immersed not only in the setting of Fury road but honestly more of Road Warrior in way?, I don't know closest I got to crying was at Mary's death and her little good girl when furiosa killed a man to protect their home was the cutest most uwu part of the movie. Not to mention revenge of her death is the entire point of the final confrontation.
-Also I have to mention Mr. Norton. Mr. Norton I'm free on saturday for tying up to a motorcycle, I'm sure everything you did was totally justified and also super hot, thank you for your dirty rabid woman duties it was fucking awesome how you shot a man and the quartered your former boss.
-Last comment before I forget, that scene where Jack was killed had impressive Hector vibes. Tied to the back of the chariot while hounds eat you and disfigure your corpse? More to add fuel to the fire of George Miller adoring archetypical images, and I do too no complaints, it was gut-wrenching when I realized what was going to happen. The Horde in general had a mixture of Greek Charioteers and Mongol horde I really loved it.
-Also their first fight scene together where they work seamlessly together and then Furiosa threatens his life? classic crazy wasteland, you and Max really were identical. It also cements my idea that the movie is Fury Road backwards, since Max threatened Furiosa's life first and then they seamlessly worked together. I'll have to find where all the beats parallel and how they fit together, to see if I'm right.
In Conclusion honestly excellent movie, I didn't leave with the deep emotions Fury Road made but how much it's making me think about it is deeply appreciated.

I know, I know I'm a scratched record
But I'm dying to hear your thoughts on the Wakfu finale when you get to it!
I just finished watching it and it's uuh... hmm. I read people saying the finale was "satisfactory" but I am not fully on board with that sentiment.
Too much left unanswered, not enough wrapped up, too rushed to get to the end.
I know the Waven game is a continuation of sorts, it takes place decades after Wakfu's conclusion so that game might hold some answers or closure, buuuuttt... I'm not interested enough in the game to play and find out. I guess I've grown a bit tired of the whole cross-media info/lore some franchises love to do (like Blizzard and covering important info across the Warcraft games, books and short stories).
Wakfu season 4 obviously has an open ending, no matter that it is the final season, so who knows what might follow. I'm just a little saddened that the story picked up a little too late this season but the animation, particularly during action scenes, was pretty great... when not using the same static images of characters xDD They loved that a little too much but I understand the budget wasn't that big so I can't really fault Ankama for it.
Did I like this season? Mmmyyeeaaah, it's a mixed bag. Better than season 3 but not better than the first two seasons or even the OVA episodes. Glad it exists but I don't feel super satisfied with its conclusion.
HEAVY SPOILERS ahead, so be mindful but gonna share some thoughts:
Seeing Joris play a bigger part in the second half of the 4th season, and him vibing with Adamaï made me very giddy and happy. Love that for them, hope they become good friends. And thank fek neither of them died. RIP, Qilby, Armand and Brakmar (maybe?). The guys who needed to redeem themselves got their chance, at least.
Goddess Eliatrope was a big disappointment and an unlikeable character but I guess that was kind of the point...? Angry that she totally ignored Chibi and Grougal, like what the fuck even? Didn't even show a hint of acknowledgment towards them. What if they wanted to meet mom, huh?? And what even happened to Baltazar and Glip, who were in Emrub with the same kids that were asleep in Goddess Eliatrope's belly? What did she do with them?
But hey, at least my headcanon that the Sadida and Eliatropes will combine into a single kingdom/people (which I also wrote about in my Rebirth fic) actually happening was pretty satisfying x'D It even has Wakfu-infused trees, om nom nom.
A little frustrated with Necroworld (not the same Necroworld from the Transformers: Lost Light comics) because it's supposed to be a different planet in some other universe but it had dofus (dragon eggs) and races of the Twelve like Sadida, Sram and Sacrier. It was pretty confusing... Imo, it should have been something similar to The Upside Down (Stranger Things), or an alternate version of the world of Twelve rather than a completely separate place. But eh...
Why did nobody care about the state Inglorium was in, or that the Gods have disappeared? That bothered me so so so soooo much during the first two episodes; nobody non-Eliatrope or non-demigod cared that their God/Goddess was... well... gone. Aside from God Iop, where are they?? Hated the disinterest, hated the silence around it. Guess that's a mystery that will be unraveled in some other media.
Yugo grew tall and handsome and I'm not afraid to say it. Happy for him, though him suddenly growing so quickly was a bit silly. I figured there would be a time skip to justify his 'growth' that we saw in promotional images and teasers. Won't complain though, he deserved to finally be in a body that reflects his actual age, it took him long enough!
"Bootleg Alys" from the Dofus movie made a cameo in episode 11 which made me snerk. (I noticed a few more background characters from the movie that were re-used in episode 11.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And that's all I have to say, at least here on Tumblr. It was quite a ride.
A big thanks Ankama and all the Kickbackers that made it possible; this show had its ups and downs over the past decade but it was enjoyable and loved. It still holds a special place in my heart and I will keep a tiny eye out for more Krozmos stuff in the future (like Welsh & Shedar, gimme!!).

how i think bucci gang would confess their love
i don't even know anymore man, enjoy the hcs
------
Bruno Bucciarati
very calm about it
it just slipped out one day lmao
he was just chilling with Abbacchio and he was talking about something
"I understand how you feel, Abbacchio. But you have to be more careful, ok? I love you." "I know- WHAT?!"
bruno acted like he meant to say that
he was screaming on the inside tho
the moment he got home he was giggling and kicking his feet
he has a boyfriend now
Leone Abbacchio
he probably confessed while drunk
he's the type of guy to push his feelings away and not pay attention to them
but spoiler alert, you can't push away your intense love for Bruno, dumb goth whore
probably tried to avoid Bruno for a bit
it worked until Bruno took care of him while he was drunk
"Ok Abbacchio, it's time to go home now-" "but I love you!"
Bruno just stared at him for a second before bringing him home and hoping to GOD that Abbacchio wouldn't remember what he said
he did
they had a deep conversation after and started dating
Abba looked a little happier that day
Giorno Giovanna
very straight forward about it
walked up to Fugo and said "we need to talk"
istg Fugo almost shit his pants, he thought he was gonna get in trouble or some shit
instead giogio just sat him down and told him he liked him
"What did you need, Giorno?" "I'm in love with you." "...." ".........." "....WHAT?!"
Giorno started listing everything he loves about Fugo and strawb boy almost fucking fainted he was so flustered
Giorno had to stop halfway through his rant to make sure Fugo was ok
he ended up gaining a boyfriend and was super happy and giddy for the rest of the week
everyone else was wondering why he was smiling so much and flapping his hands (it's because he's autistic)
also clung to fugo like a glue trap
Pannacotta Fugo
another one to push down his feeling and try to dismiss them
he couldn't look at giorno for more than five seconds before turning bright red and looking away
EVERYONE knew he liked giorno lmao (except giorno)
he probably didn't confess, instead giorno overheard mista and narancia teasing him about it
"Still got a crush on the golden boy, Fugoo??" "shut. up." "C'mon! We just wanna know!" "SHUT THE FUCK UP" "I'll take that as a yes" "FUGO LOVES GIORNO!" "I DO NOT-" "You love me, Fugo?"
Fugo immediately shut up at slowly turned to Giorno with the most terrified expression you'll ever see in his life
bro looks like he just pissed himself
cue nara and mista laughing their lungs out in the background
he just quickly brought giorno into another room and quietly explained that he had feelings for him
it was all good because he gained a boyfriend
he was a lot happier for the rest of the week
Guido Mista
verrryy flirty
but he only uses cringy flirts
sometimes they're good but most of the time...
"hey, are you lightning? cuz you're McQueen. KACHOW"
since i don't ship him with anyone YOU (yes you, person reading this) GET TO BE THE UNLUCKY PERSON MISTA CONFESSES HIS LOVE TO
when i say unlucky i mean unlucky
he'll never leave you alone
"I need to go piss hold on" "can I come?"
LIKE NO YOU CANNOT
probably confessed with a love letter (he's a sucker for romance)
but like he just handed you a letter and ran off
he'd be very happy if you said yes
everyone would know that he's dating you by the end of the week
also do NOT sleep in the same bed as this guy, he snores louder than a nuclear explosion
Narancia Ghirga
shy. that's all i'm gonna say
he'd try to act chill and fail miserably
my guy tries to say something flirty and stumbles over his words so bad he trips
"hey, so, uh, d-did it, um, hurt when- when you, uh, y-you fell from heav- heaven? Uh, actually nevermind! OKBYETALKTOYOULATER!" *trips*
cried to Mista about it later
i also don't ship narancia with anyone so YOU, THE READER, ARE THE LUCKY ONE WHO GAINS HIS AFFECTION
and when I say lucky, I mean LUCKY
sweetest boy ever
he'll literally die for you
probably tried to confess romantically but stumbled over his words and got so nervous he almost passed out
just ended up screaming that he loves you
"s-so, basically, uh, the thing is, um, I uh... FUCK IT! I LOVE YOU!"
his face was so red
very giddy and happy for a long while if you say yes
he'd proudly show you off
Trish Una
once again, YOU get to be the one she's attracted to
surprisingly chill about it
she compliments you on a daily basis
expect her to constantly be around you
mf she is NOT leaving you alone
"I need to piss" "let's go piss together queen"
i fully believe trish is a hardcore lesbian
she cringes at the thought of dating men
"I'm sure one day you'll find a kind young man to take care of you" "EW no"
CONFESSES LIKE A NORMAL PERSON
"you wanted to talk to me?" "yeah, so I kinda have a crush on you and I was wondering if you felt the same way?"
very smiley if you say yes
also she will NOT let go of you hand
------
the end

The Odyssey of Imrrick
The big reveal!! I've been working on this fic for over a month! I'm so excited to post the first chapter of this 10-chapter adventure! Dedicated to the lovely @alexandia03 for the @rq-gift-exchange.
I'll be posting every Monday and Friday until August 1. Stay tuned for more!
The Odyssey of Imrrick - Chapter 1 - Ubiquitously_Ubiquitous - The Empyrean - Rebecca Yarros [Archive of Our Own]
Summary:
Imogen Cardulo and Garrick Tavis have circled around each other their entire lives. First, as kids, learning to co-exist in Aretia, challenging each other. Then as teens, realizing their attraction to each other. Later, denying their feels in the wake of the apostasy and the hell that followed. And finally, accepting their feelings and admitting they loved each other.
Now, five years after the dissolution of Navarre, Imogen and Garrick are getting married. Finally. In this multi-chapter adventure, on their wedding day, Imogen reflects with Bodhi and Quinn, and Garrick with Xaden and Ridoc, on the history of Imrrick, on how they fell in love.
Each chapter will switch from Imogen's and Garrick's POV, and will include a present-day scene as well as a flash-back.
Major spoilers for FW and IF, and a made-up ending to the series included.
Chapter 1 Snippet:
“Why can’t I just wear my leathers again?” Imogen grumbled.
“Because it’s your wedding day,” Quinn exclaimed, coming to stand beside her and admiring Imogen’s reflection.  “I did a fantastic job, if I do say so myself.  You’re welcome.”
She bumped her hip against Imogen’s.
“Now come on, Bodhi snuck in a bottle or three of something called champagne that Ridoc keeps in his and Bodhi’s place.  By the end of it, you’ll barely be able to walk down the aisle,” Quinn said with a wink.
Bodhi chuckled.  “Ridoc loves that shit.  It’s all bubbly and it makes him super giddy.  And horny.”
Both Quinn and Imogen curled their lips.  “Ewww, Bodhi, gross.”
“We could talk about what you and Garrick are doing to do on your wedding night, then,” Bodhi said, wiggling his eyebrows as they all sat down in the seating area.
Imogen flung herself back across the couch.  “That’s even worse.”
“Then let’s tell stories,” Quinn suggested excitedly.  “I want to hear everything about you and Garrick Tavis.”
“You mean, like, when he finally admitted he had feelings for Im?” Bodhi asked.  “Or like, the first time they kissed?”
Quinn grinned.  “Oh, I want it all.  Everything.  From the very beginning.  None of you talk about your childhood much.”
“That’s because we were busy fighting a war, and before that, our parents were fighting a war and then were put to death in front of us,” Imogen summarized succinctly.
“As rosy as always, Im,” Quinn grinned.  “Come on, now, spill.  Tell me about the very first time you met Garrick.  You were five, right?”  Quinn popped a bottle open and poured glasses of the bubbly liquid for each of them.
Imogen sighed.  “Fine, it started like this…”

imma compress all my td2023 season two thoughts into one post, so spoilers below particularly for the final four/five episodes
Okay so, I can't be the only one who's super tired of Caleb by the end of the season, right? Like, no, I don't dislike him as a character necessarily, hell, we didn't have much to go off of for a GOOD while, and I'm certainly glad they actually gave him some substance. But like...really? Putting him in the FINALE? Extending his arc so long that it keeps PRIYA in until the final FOUR?? It just makes them both feel like they overstayed their welcome, especially when people like Damien, Zee and Raj got shafted in favour of their plotline, which was ultimately super exhausting compared to others. It also just felt a little...off, especially for Caleb's teammates in the finale basically being "Team Not Julia," that just felt...so sad. And not in a way that was really earned since he was super wishy-washy for the latter half of the game, especially after Damien was eliminated. Like girl how can you go from having nothing to having too much?? What is this, rags to riches? And just to get all of the kinda low points of the season IMO:
Damien was just straight up robbed, and his elimination left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth?? Like there ain't no way DAMIEN would be dumb enough and/or not paranoid enough to NOT take the idol with him to elimination, like, ON HIS PERSON. I don't care that it was hidden at the campfire, there is no way anyone with his personality, especially after saying he moves the damn thing like four times a day, would NOT KEEP IT ON HIM DURING THE CEREMONY!! That's just an unnecessary risk and it got him taken out. Also, Priya voting him out made DOUBLE no sense, like I get Wayne and Raj being sentimental and all but why would Priya vote him over someone else?? I'm still not over Zee's elimination either. Like, yeah, I get why, he spilled a bunch of tea about everybody, but did they just FORGET THE FIRST AND ARGUABLY MOST IMPORTANT BIT OF TEA??? THAT CALEB WAS FUCKING WITH PRIYA'S HEAD??? Why did they spare him of that? Caleb should've gotten more fucking consequences for not updating Zee on the development, especially when you made him PROMISE NOT TO SAY ANYTHING!!! However, there's a lot of good stuff too that I absolutely adored about the later episodes:
MK and Julia's farewell felt really fitting, even if I felt MK should've stayed over her, plus the hug??? the mutual respect??? Chef's commentary???? real. Raj and Wayne continue to be completely endearing, both with Raj's elimination and Wayne's obvious love and care for him even when he's not there. I mean FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, his worst fear at the time was having to compete AGAINST Raj instead of with him!!! How precious is that?? Plus the HUG????? RAJ'S FAREWELL?????? EVERYTHING ABOUT IT HAS ME SO GIDDY MAN!! "Bowie, get your dancing shoes!" me, being buried in a pile of the hearts swirling around my head and also just, Bowie in the finale being an icon, as usual, even if he isn't competing. His friendship with Wayne as a result of his relationship with Raj and how he's adapted to their ways of thinking is SO!!!!! GAH!!!!!! HE LEARNED THE HOCKEY TALK!!!!! IM WEAK!!!!!! And everyone on Wayne's team being so genuinely happy to support him, especially those I genuinely would not have expected to be there (Axel, Ripper, Chase) but when I think about it, it makes PERFECT sense, and I'm just,,, AGH!!!!! And while the final three and winner may not have been my first choices, I am ultimately pleased with the ending. Wayne winning makes up for the exhaustion of other plotlines in the season, and really, he played fair and square and won. Much as I wanted Julia to win, I'm glad he did.
now that ive actually seen all the episodes I'm gonna be,,, insane and reblog so much td stuff because obviously, so,, AND IF ANYONE WANTS TO ASK ME MORE QUESTIONS FEEL FREE!!! I WOULD LOVE TO TALK MORE IN DEPTH ABOUT MY THOUGHTS OF THE SEASON!!

Yapping about Inscryption
Just 'finished' (that's in quotes cause I'm not convinced that the games not DONE done) Inscryption and overall I really enjoyed it! I stopped live blogging after a certain point so heres a post to get those out.
!Spoilers for the whole game under the cut!
>I wasn't too sure about the art style change in Act 2 at first, and the fact that I was dog water at the new card mechanics didn't help, but it really grew on me and so did the new gameplay!
>The other scrybes were really interesting, there wasn't a single one I found boring. If I had to rank them I'd go Leshy<Grimora/P03<Magnificus. Grim and P03 only occupy the same space because I love them both equally.
LUKE CARDER INTERLUDE
>He's so quirky! Love him! Seriously though he was an endearing main character, truly creepypasta protag material. Seeing him get shot in the end really caught me off guard, and honestly shook me a little. Idk but why I didn't expect him to die, especially like that. Expected like a computer monster birthed from the old disk to get him, not for the GameFuna rep to cap him in the face. Had my chest tight for a second. Anyways rip bro, raising my mantis god to the sky.
>As for Act 3, I liked it! P03 is such a delightful dickhead, who I just know would be so annoying about Pokemon natures. Botopia was less immersive than Leshy's campaign, and I like what that says about P03's character, who cares way more about gameplay. This chapter's talking cards have my heart. Lonely Wizard specifically, but Angler was nice for the 5 minutes I knew him. (I traded him for another card specifically because he said 'choose me'. Sorry man I thought you had a plan)
>Obligatory Goobert Mention. Great guy, glad his pain was lessened by the tubes. Idk why you still want to go back to Magnificus, but I wont tell you what to do.
>The Uber bot bosses were still pretty interesting for a bot who supposedly doesn't care much abt crafting characters. I made my own special hell for the Make-your-own boss. Where for every dead card, another is drawn. P03 tried to stop me multiple times, but I was determined. For phase two I just chose leap bots for every dead card. Silly boss. Golly was also a sweetheart, loved the mole. As for the scribe Uberbot, the file deletion threat didn't get me nearly as bad since I came off of Kinitopet and knew the game couldn't actually do something like that and be on steam, but it still had me a little nervous lol (cause like what if it did?).
I got weirdly giddy at the prospect of finding the pelt man again. Idk why because I despised him in Act 1, Got a few pelts but never actually found him. Got scammed at the mart cause I thought buying the pelt would make him show up lol.
>Falling into the factory and seeing the 3 scribes just standing there scared me a little, thought they were gonna jump me.
>After that part, going back to P03 knowing what's going to happen, I felt a bit bad. At first. Sure P03's a smug jerk, but it just wanted to be free right? The walk back when it's reminiscing about the game amped this feeling up, but I love that the game yanked the rug from under me and went 'yeah no this puter just sucks' once it starts gloating. Lol. lmao. Also I didn't expect Leshy to just rip its head off wtf bro.
>Saying goodbye to everyone at the end was sad. Having one last game with the Scrybes was so bittersweet. Grimora's game was interesting, and its a crime we didn't have time for a boss battle. Leshy. Leshy I love you so much. I like that Magnificus wasn't going gentle into that good night at first, but his insistence to keep going lost him the chance to shake our hand. I was never super into his play style, but his game was really cool looking, even if im not super into that stuff. (I know the arm thing had something to do with Yugi-oh but I know nothing abt it sorry).
>The lead up to unzipping the Old Code was done so well. Grimora may have nuked the game to get rid of it, but Luke's curiosity still doomed him in the end. The totem lady's last words before we found it were quite unsettling. I don't know what was on that zip, but whatever it was clearly messed Luke up.
>I loved the ending of the game. Already talked about it in the Luke section, but it was so abrupt and final. Idk what I expected but I knew it was over when Luke opened the door for the Funa rep. Rip.
Overall, 10/10 game. There's still something called Kaycees mod for me to do, but all in all I really enjoyed it!

Theorie Tme with SpookyGhostCupcake
and spoilers, I guess
*Crowley actually was Raphael part one*
In the 'Before the Beginning ' scene, Crowley's whole deminer just screams *important angel*. He's not only totally compfeble fetching some, from his perspective, random angel he just spotted out of the ether and request their assistance. No, he assumes that the unknown angel, Aziraphale, will help, no doubt.
Aziraphale, for his part, is not only totally obedient to Crowley he's actually giddy to be there with him. He introduces himself but does not ask for Crowley's name, and he's super excited to introduce himself. Just like someone who meets their idol or a superior they totally admire. He's actually acting a bit like someone with a little crush. He must've known about Crowley beforehand because Aziraphale would not be this disappointed if some random nobody angel called their nebula beautiful instead of him.
Crowley sees no need to tell his name or even what he's doing. It's just as if he needs no introduction because everyone knows who he is.
There is also the fact that Crowley is so sure and secure in his relationship with God. He worked as he practically says really close with the Almaity, and he seems truthful as he says it. He doesn't even consider that his boss could be unhappy with him for giving criticism or advice.
The thing that doesn't add up with that is Crowley's cluelessness about 'Project Earth', but maybe he heard of it but didn't pay attention. He's so taken with his stars that he doesn't really care for a project from another department, so to speak.
There are other evedents but I'm leaving it just to this scene for now.

i'm devastated but like in a good way, and I have a lot of lokius thoughts I need to jot down before i pull a timely and become spaghetti
spoilers for season 2's finale below !!
so in this house, lokius is alive and thriving - because listen:
Firstly, i've seen a lot of people upset with the finale and while that's super valid, here's some positive thoughts on why I kinda sorta dig what was given to us.
the recap never included that one ship while catching up on the main plot points of everything that has happened since the show's beginning. I think that should be pointed out idk.
from a fic writer standpoint the fact that Loki spent CENTURIES??? (+however long fighting sylvie and having repeating conversations with HWR) Like literally a huge chunk of time we don't see trying to fix things has so much potential. I'm giddy abt that ngl
That when Loki needed advice most, he time-slipped to Mobius to ask him his opinion. Not only that, he time-slipped to when they don't know each other yet, because he wants a Mobius who is unbiased. He's aware that were he to go to a place in the timeline where they're now close, Mobius would try and talk him out of abandoning all hope.
He knows, much like with Mobius' story, he's been hesitating to look past himself - to see the bigger picture, instead of what he wants. That hesitation has led to years and years of consequences, Loki failing each and every time, similar to how the officer of Mobius' story delaying the prune of a variant led to an eruption of consequences that resulted in the harm of their comrades too.
What Loki wants is save his friends, ultimately. At first, he wants to save his friends and be able to experience life amongst the timeline branches with them. He tells Sylvie he doesn't know where he would belong without them. What Loki realizes in the end is that to give them the choice he believes they deserve, he has to make a choice of his own. In the end, he finds belonging (at least for now, because I refuse to believe this is the end of TVA Loki's storyline) in putting those he loves before himself and what he wants, something Loki has done only a handful of times throughout the entire Marvel series. He needs that growth character-wise because, as we know, he will be involved in the next big phase.
I think that Loki time-slipping to ask Mobius for advice parallels last episode's 'it's about WHO' again. Who has given him the chance to be a better version of himself the entire show? Who helped him overcome his deep distrust in others, learning to care for them instead - so much so that he sacrificed himself to protect them? And again, Mobius is who Loki went to when he was lost and his words are what guided Loki to the decision he made.
A Sylvie and Mobius scene where Sylvie is seen caring for Mobius in the aftermath??? Mobius wasn't offering comfort to Sylvie, he was depicted as more distraught than she was. In fact, I'd say they really wanted to get across how 'alone' he felt with Loki's absence, standing watching a life he never knew from afar.
(there's a whole unpacking i want to do here about how we previously saw Loki looking longingly across the street watching Don's life too, before whisking Don away from his mundane family life for a greater purpose; something about Mobius looking at that life and recognizing there's a missing piece to it, and it's back in a place he no longer feels he fits because the TVA is missing something too; something about Loki 'supposedly' finding where he belongs, but not Mobius. those are thoughts for another post though lmaoooo)
I think they left Mobius' arc open-ended because he still hasn't achieved that greater purpose. That's (hopefully) because it's meant to be fleshed out in either a later season or next movies to come. And (hopefully x2), that purpose becomes Mobius helping to somehow save Loki from his current fate.
The final moments?? Hello??? Mobius' voice echoing as we pan in on Loki holding the branches together, teary-eyed with a soft, melancholic smile??? Seeming to be listening in on Mobius amongst the branches??? Mobius' 'let time pass' because he doesn't know how to move on from losing Loki?? Come onnnn, the tragic angst in just those shots were CHEF KISS
Overall, I know it's a let down not to have an actual canon status but I mean - were we really expecting the mouse to come through for us??? At least, we didn't get a 'no homo' moment so I count that as a win against rickey the rat. Lokius survived the finale, and that's what really mattered for me tbh.
Like idk, I could also be biased because I kinda, really dig tragedy and slow burn angst. And that's what this finale gave us, along with so many possibilities !! Them being separated leaves so much that can happen !! Like, like - Mobius has the opportunity to have an arc about saving his bae from holding time together indefinitely - from Loki's greatest fear, being left alone. Mobius getting into marvel shenanigans in an attempt to reunite with Loki somehow is beautifully romantic to me ya'll idk. I am delusional and I fully embrace that fact.
Okay honestly this isn't even ALL MY THOUGGHTS I HAVE MORE but this is getting long so I'm stopping here (currently: sending morse code signals out to help pull me back from the brink of insanity)

S6: A Rant
Man, this season started off so promising. I was actually excited for episodes again. Now I'm just back to being exhausted with it. The branching is not well executed at all. The Grace situation is BAFFLING and there's no option to be a decent person and at least flat out tell her you want to pursue Ozzy.
And now, for something completely expected! Enjoy an impassioned, profanity-laced rant about Amelia!
Thar be spoilers ahead.
Fuuuuuuuck this ho sideways with no lube. All her sister talk is bullshit. I really don't care if she and Ryan cracked on, because fine. But the way she went about it, the way she neglected to tell me, and then blew off my feelings about it? Oh no. Bitch, you know better. We're Scorpio risings. Which means we never forgive and we never forget.
It's especially weird considering how vehement she was about not liking Jamal because he said he had feelings for Ivy and then got over her immediately... um. What does she think just happened with Ryan?
She had the audacity to act like it hardly mattered, since I didn't pick him anyway. Yeah, I didn't. But here's the thing. I could have. He was still pursuing me. It's weird and gross that this guy was actively trying to get with me and he's telling me he has all these super deep feelings, but he's been cracking on with my sister secretly? What's that about? Like they could have told me and that would have made my decision for me and they could have just been getting to know each other without being snakey. If she "knew" I wasn't going to choose him, what possible reason could she have to keep it from me?
Perhaps she simply has a ravenous appetite for my scraps.
This is the second time she's kept something from me when it comes to guys (that I know of). And acted like she did it for my benefit and like it didn't matter at all. My only angry option here was, "I'm annoyed with you." And her response was to act all giddy for me and my new partner as though it's all forgiven. She's so dismissive that they wrote actual dialogue for MC to say, "I said I'm still annoyed," and Amelia was like, "Oh well. Doesn't mean anything. Still sisters! Byyyyye!"
I have played nice with her so far. No more nice. I don't give a shit about Ryan. Other than feeling even more ick than I already did, nothing's changed there. But she seems to have a chronic issue with honesty and a lack of consideration for my feelings, and I have a big problem with that.
Honestly, there's a part of me that wants to pursue Ryan just out of spite. Then I throw up in my mouth a little, and I change my mind. Neither of them are worth that.

Alright, I successfully managed to avoid any spoilers until the CG showed up in my timezone, and JFTJFTHT I AM SO HAPPY I DID THAT BECAUSE??? OH MY GOD????
Tumblr media
LOOK AT THEM. IT'S THE BABIES. THEY'RE TOGETHER. AND THEY'RE HAPPY! (at least way happier than we've seen before) I JUST WANNA SQUISH THEIR LITTLE CHEEKS AND GIVE THEM CAKE AND TAKE THEM OUT TO SEE THE SKY AND AND-
Alright. My incoherent screeching out of the way, I'll go ahead and cry over some details I noticed right off the bat.
Tumblr media
Look at how thin Saeran's wrists are :( They're so tiny, even in comparison with Saeyoung's which are pretty small as they are! Now, listen, I know this CG is placed somewhere into the canon timeline since they are clearly in the bedroom showed to us in the game, but I'll think of it as a happy au where they both got out and are now learning how to live freely :) Listen, a girl can dream. Anyways, as a fellow member of a 'super thin wrists' club, I am happy with this detail, even if it's a bit sad in nature.
Tumblr media
LOOK HOW HAPPY SAEYOUNG IS, I'M GOING TO CRY. He's so excited to see how much Saeran has grown! I bet once he takes his measurements he'll get all giddy. Saeyoung is Saeran's biggest supporter! I can imagine him saying something like: "Oh wow, keep this up, and you'll be the bigger brother next year we do this!" I love him, he's such a precious bean. Give him all the snacks and toys he deserves.
Tumblr media
I am in tears. He is so precious. I've been looking at this baby Saeran for about 10 minutes now. No thoughts, just baby Saeran. Oh, but look how nervous he looks! I think it's the first time we've seen him nervous, but in a good sense, you know? It's the kind if nervous energy you feel when you're unpacking your presents! I can tell he's trying really hard to stand still and not mess this up. And oh, oh, the way he looks at his brother... you can just tell how important Saeyoung is to him. He trusts him completely. Once again, I am going to cry. Baby Saeran deserves all the good things in this world.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As a fellow space nerd, I cannot even begin to describe how giddy I am to see these adorable cosmos-themed stickers. Saeyoung loved space ever since he was a kid! I am so happy he has a way to express his passion in one way or another. I know for a fact he was excitedly explaining to Saeran all kinds of fun facts while putting these on!

HI ABOUT UR ASK GAME I think u know about fire emblem but honestly not sure who’d you be an expert on 😭😭😭😭 SORRY IF THIS COMES OFF AS RUDE I would like to hear about ur expertise 🧐
AHUAAAGAGGAHAHGGGAAAAAA
Tumblr media
THAT'S NOT AT ALL RUDE- LITERALLY ANY RESPONSE TO ASK GAME STUFF MAKES ME SO GIDDY THANK YOU
Okay- expertise time- I got into FE right before quarantine started so I was literally given all the time in the world in my early highschool era so I absorbed Fire Emblem up into my bloodstream and I blame that series for how I write and do world-building now. My homebrew D&D campaign (which will probably never see the light of day 😔) and my Transformers fan continuity were both heavily inspired by Fire Emblem, especially FE16 since it was my first game in the series.
Massive Fire Emblem: Three Houses spoilers below
Actual expertise time whoops: After sitting through my sibling's playthrough of FE16 I realized that I am very mentally ill for the Church of Seiros, specifically the Nabateans. I've tried digging into every nook and cranny to find information on them. I have a bad habit of becoming hyper-focused on stuff at the unholy hours of night and I've once gotten super emotional for the Four Saints during one of those moments. I was studying the Goddess mural that was used in a lot of promotional material and in the background of things and got teary-eyed while examining the dragons in the background. I'm not sure if you're an FE fan too but two of the dragons on the mural had designs that replicated the designs of the Wind Caller and the Immovable, dragons highly implied to be Saint Macuil and Saint Indech respeectively. The only difference being that the dragon that looked like The Immovable had wings in the mural unlike in the game where The Immovable has no visible wings. There are also two other dragons in the far back that seem to represent Saint Cichol and Saint Cethleann. In the game itself, Seteth (Saint Cichol's current alias) and Flayn (Saint Cethleann) state that they can't transform into dragons anymore whereas Saint Seiros (Lady Rhea) does transform at multiple points. I've asked other theorists and looked around for anything about the dragons in FE16 and how their whole thing works but I've come up empty. In earlier Fire Emblem games there are more dragon people who work somewhat differently yet still similarly to the dragon people of FE16 which is a point that helped inspire me to write my fanfic Kindled Flame. After playing other Fire Emblem games then returning back to the one that started my insanity I've been having fun little "woah this is similar to this" brain moments. Also I'm so sorry this response is humongous QwQ I looked at the clock and felt myself melt a little- it's getting into those unholy hours where I become extremely hyper lol

Why I loved Violent Night - A treaty in many, many parts
SANTA IS A BRAWLER
I will state my case after the cut, for there will be spoilers, details, and overall madness
The first fight already starts with some weird information. First, when Tinsel hits Santa, Santa is ANGRY, which is a bit unexpected given how desperate he looked before. And then the headbutt which is a thing of beauty (and born from rage). So you know Santa can fight right from the start. Santa can take a punch. He's slow and resistant and you can see his blows are strong. It's like you're playing Cadillacs and Dinosaurs with Mess O'Bradovich (I'm sorry, I'm a 40+ year-old gamer, you have to forgive me here). In the second fight, the game room fight (I think it's against Frosty), he fights with the golf club swinging wildly, which kinda shows he is used to heavier weapons. The improvised blackjack with the pool balls is much more effective in his hands. Also, Santa was super giddy when Frosty's head caught fire. These two fights also showcase how resourceful he is in a fight, not in a desperate-to-survive kind of way, but with the trained eye of someone who knows how to cause damage. So when Nicomund, the Viking, is introduced, OF COURSE, IT MAKES SENSE, it is just perfect. Of course, he was a war-loving Viking. (The second fight is my favorite, by the way, I love the soundtrack, the whole chaotic feeling, Santa buying time by trash-talking, the suplex into the pinball machine... :D)
When the shed scene started, I was really expecting some fun and I think the movie delivered well. He receives a pep talk from an adorable kid, talks about shoving coal up naughty people's anuses, and finds a sledgehammer, by the power of him praying to his wife (aw, come on, it was adorable, admit you loved it too).
And there we have resourceful war Santa again, now with his powers unleashed by a healthy dose of self-confidence delivered by the belief of a kid in him. Wholesome carnage. I really enjoyed the sledgehammer choreography, it was so satisfying to watch. The whole image of weight and momentum, ah, it was pretty. And what can I say, I think it was a lovely scene to watch Santa beheading people with ice skates and sleds. <3 I could sing praises to the snowblower (I thought it was a woodchipper but hey, I'm from a country where we don't have snow, you gotta forgive me. again). (I won't comment on the hand grenade, otherwise, this will become a love letter. I felt so giddy at that moment I keep laughing whenever I think of it.) The final fight, with Scrooge, is so dramatic and has a beautiful beautiful conclusion. And there you see, Santa swinging wide, trying to use his height and his weight in his favor. On this one, his resistance is key. Like a warlord, he wins with maximum prejudice xD So yeah, Santa is a brawler and I really enjoyed the idea and how it was executed xD

Scandal In The Spotlight Nagito & Iori Routes Review
So I decided I'm going to start going through my games and romance the ones I want then come back later and do the ones I don't much care for. So this game was super fun but only 2 of them even interested me. I am however glad I did both routes and I plan to do the others later but I swear the other few there all seem like assholes these are the only 2 that stood out. Anyways Nagito is my favorite he is an amazing man in the end you will see too. He makes this game alone worth buying if you haven't already. There is spoilers ahead jus so you know.
Nagito Aoshima
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He honestly is kind hearted sweet with a naughty side. He likes to flirt but if he gets turned down he turns it right into a ray of sunshine like it was a joke all along. Its not hard to see how you could fall in love with a man like this. Not only does he make you smile but he makes your heart plain happy to be with him. This guy is a one of a kind I mean seriously he can be flirty but he is adopted and he goes out of his way to make clothes for orphan children, talks about one day having a big family and a fluffy dog and having a wife that loves and understands him like no other. I mean my heart melted at how sweet this guy is like not one negativity about him and he has this infectious happiness that makes you grateful to have even met him but not in a bad way but in a humbling way.
When he knows someone is in love with him like he finds out in the story he becomes more confident he wants to be near you. What I love is even when the words come out that your character is in love with him he admits he has feelings but isn't over the top I'm in love with you kind of thing he tells you he wants you to be his girlfriend but he wants to take day by day falling in love with you slowly because he can see being with you forever. Like most of these otomes its like oooh I'm in love with you and me too which feels good but this guy feels like someone you would want to be with in real life the kind of guy that is upfront but you can still tell he is falling every day a little more in love with you.
He also makes clothes outside of sings and he goes into mentioning he will make a wedding dress one day for the woman he sees he could marry and spend the rest of his life with just like his brother in law did for his sister he made her dress. Then later he tells you that he wants to make you a dress for the wedding line he is doing so at that point its not hard to not get giddy this man sees wedding bells in the future. I don't know its so hard not to get caught up in this story and in Nagi he is my sweetie when it comes to love interests in this game and many others. He is that special one that holds a dear place in my heart and he also has a slight jealousy letting everyone know your his and no one can make a move on you. Just Ahhh Nagi is amazing! I will say without spoiling every part of his main story but there is some ups and downs and secrets that have to come out but in the end on the romantic end at least you will not be let down by it.
Iori Enjo

Not gonna lie he caught my attention right away so damn attractive. Anyways its even kind of cute that he can't see well so he needs glasses. This man falls under Tsundere easily he spends most the time in the beginning talking to you like your nothing and are stupid.
However when you meet someone from his past you find out about him and how women have done him wrong even his first love who became his dads mistress. I mean how can you trust after something like that.
However you see little by little his walls slowly crumble and he shows a softer side to him that makes me all warm and fuzzy all over. The way he realizes he is in love with you is just so sweet he is called the prince and really is that the way he is there to protect you in cases as well as to protect your heart.
For a man who hated women in the beginning warms up to the idea of having a woman to spend his life with. He likes a woman who is upfront and doesn't beat around the bush about what she thinks and wants. I did both his main story with both dramatic ending and romantic ending and both are so sweet and he really is a sweetheart in the end.
