Have you ever seen Scott Pilgrim? It feels like something you'd like :3
wanna know the funniest thing? I literally rented and watched it yesterday and you are correct I loved it. I also watched the tv show one too, both were definitely my style. I enjoyed the characters and their growth and the fighting was very nice to look at and flowed pretty well. The editing was also so good 9/10 movie and tv show /pos

How are you finding Baldur's Gate 3? Turn based games aren't really my thing but I've been watching clips and reviews of it, and I really, really want it for the story and the companions.
Hooo boi. I'm not even halfway through (even tho i have over 100 hrs on the counter already, someone help me lmao XD), but I will write some (spoilerless) words.
So, my opinion is heavily biased because: • i was extremely invested in BG1 and BG2 back in the days and have tons of fond memories from these two games, so revisiting this world (and meeting some characters again even) has a big sentimental aspect for me on top of everything new;
• i've played campaigns set on the Sword Coast (including Baldur's Gate) and in Avernus, so seeing some locations and characters I recognize either from earlier computer games or from tabletop is super fun;
• i really enjoy 5e mechanics so this is also a big fun factor for me. I recreated a build from my current Curse of Strahd campaign (Cleric of Knowledge Domain / Divination wizard) and having this comparison - I am super satisfied with how the mechanics have been translated (and in some very minor aspects - changed) into a computer game, fantastic work on this;
But all these personal things aside - I think it is objectively a fantastic crpg. I haven't been so invested in a story and in characters from a computer game in a loooong while, i both laughed and cried, I feel my decisions matter, every detail (and there is A LOT of details) feels like it's there for a reason, there is something intriguing / exciting / surprising literally around every corner, zero (0) repetitive quests, and you can feel tons of love and care put into this monster of a game.
As a fan of turn based games and board games and 5e fights and all that I also have to also say- the design of battle encounters is fantastic, and the further you go the more fun / surprising they get.
Also the music is excellent.
Also also this game is extremely horny.
To sum it up: I think it is an excellent thing, beautiful, engaging, fun, made with care and respect for player's time, and I already feel I will be doing another playthrough after i'm (one day) done with this one.
If you are worried about the battle aspect: there is a game mode that allows you to focus more on the story and presents less challenging encounters - haven't tried it but maybe something to look into, I'm sure some reviews cover it.
All that said: I'm done with work for today so back to the game lol.

i was folding some paper tags when he came out of the the office and just stood there, looking at me.
i gave him a small smile, which i think he reciprocated. i don't quite remember because my heart immediately started to beat faster. i had to do something to distract me from it.
so i asked him if he had watched oppenheimer, which he did. he liked it a lot and was dumbfounded when i told him i haven't watched it yet. he gave me a quick spoilerless review of it before having to head back to the office.
the whole day i kept thinking about how he went to me for no reason. i know i shouldn't dwell on these things, that the chances of him even liking me that way are close to zero, but... i just can't help it.
#age gap crush#he's technically one of my bosses? not really but kinda#but yeah a coworker definitely#coworker crush#i have no idea how old he is but i wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be twice my age#also it's not the first time he just stares at me??#welcome to my delulu land#for context he's kind of a film geek#we've talked about movies before#and the day before he was telling me and another coworker all the oscar nominees that'd be getting released in streaming soon#ngl i was a bit impressed he knew all that by memory#my posts

Welcome to Yuri Review!
I think it's about time to open up this blog! This is my personal blog for giving out thoughts on and recommendations of various yuri series, both explicit and subtext, anime and manga!
Come along for the ride, submit some reviews of your own, and maybe find new yuri to enjoy!
How it works:
I'll rank each series based on various criteria depending on the series and its aim, such as overall writing and plot, humor, emotional moments, and of course overall yuriness. Each of these criteria will get a small segment and a grade of 1 to 5, and the overall grade will be based on them! (0/5= bad. 1/5= not good :/. 2/5= meh. 3/5= Decent! 4/5= Great!! 5/5= Life-changing <333)
Each review will be tagged by how much I recommend it, the genre, and the yuriness of it. They will also be tagged with #yuri review! Non-review posts will be tagged with #yuriposting
I ask that submitters also follow this format somewhat, to keep the coherence of the blog!
ALL REVIEWS WILL BE SPOILERLESS! If a more in-depth discussion is what you wish for, come send a message!

Hey guys so I know we’re all waiting for Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming Shape of Water movie, but this is a relatively spoilerless review of a film that uses the backdrop of a murder investigation to explore themes of sexuality and gender diversity in Victorian England.
It has a fairly limited theatrical release (none near me, unfortunately) so if you happen to see it playing somewhere near you, it might be a good opportunity to support filmmaking that explores gender and sexuality themes in a historical context, which might hopefully lead someday to the end of people insisting that gender and relationship diversity is “modern” and “invented by millennials.”
On the downside, it does appear to be a very white film, and the review doesn’t bring up the use of the term “golem” and whether it has any context to the Jewish folktale, or whether it was simply appropriated by the Londonites.
I think I’ll try to acquire it on DVD once it’s released, though depending on how they do treat the golem aspect I may end up feeling it’s not worth recommending.
#the limehouse golem#I want to check it out#sad there isn't a theatrical release here#I am sort of worried about it though#gender diversity#sexuality

When I read the summary of it, I thought it could look like Fated to Love You, but with a less annoying female lead. I’ll say, in introduction, that it isn’t. Don’t make the same mistake as I did.
I Do, I Do is following the life of a successful shoes designer, Ji-An. In her late 30′s, she’s a workaholic and isn’t interested in dating or getting married. When there’s a sudden issue at one of the fashion show, she’ll encounter Tae-Gang, a young man in his twenties, when the both of them will get involved in an accident. After that fateful day, she’ll keep bumping into him in different situations, until, by a twist of fate, they pass a night together and she becomes pregnant. It’s a romantic comedy.
It will be quite a short review because I don’t have much to say about the drama. As always, I’ll try to keep it spoilerless (I’m pretty sure I managed to do so), but always stay careful.
As said before, the summary kind of gave me the Fated to Love You’s vibe, so I watched the drama mostly because I thought it would be nice to have the same style of plot, but, this time, with a female lead that at the very start is really strong. On that point I wasn’t disappointed, Ji-An is quite a strong woman and surely isn’t that cliché.
The plot is quite usual. I mean there’s limited subjects in our world and it’s normal that many dramas share them. What’s interesting is how those subjects are brought and which combination are made. Even though the progression of the story was quite cliché and predictable, it was still quite well-made. What I mean by that was that the subject of the “unexpected pregnancy” was, as soon as it was announced, seen under a light I rarely saw in k-dramas, which was that the female lead had decided herself that she would be a single mother, even if it could affect her reputation. what displeased me a bit was that the plot was filled with lengths. Things kept being dragged so there was no episode that I fully enjoyed because I always felt as if there were filling scenes everywhere. Also, the actions of the characters, at the exception of the female lead - most of the time, were made of back and forth. I mean the male lead kept being indecisive as well as most the story characters. The love triangle wasn’t even that interesting. I mean, at some point, it was completely trivial. I’ll finish by saying that it was a way to kill time, but surely not a good drama.
For what it is of the characters, I think I already discussed about my appreciation of the female lead because she wasn’t a shy and weak creature. The male lead was also, in some way likable, even though some of his reactions truly annoyed me. Yet, he was a very human character. For what it is of the second female lead she was probably the character I liked the more because she had a real evolution and her personality at the start and at the end was really different. Also, she wasn’t too annoying by being too pushy or trying to over step her boundaries. I felt as if she was more interesting because she was more a work rival than a romance rival for the female lead. The second male wasn’t that interesting, even though he was probably the sweetest character of them all, but, he was also quite bothering by being too much there for the female lead… I understand myself… I’ll finish by briefly talking about all the parents in the drama that are absolutely despicable. They are what make this drama full of length because of their lack of comprehension and over the top personalities that don’t allow them to see what their child is going through, but they’re not the only characters that are like that. Most of Ji-An’s friends and colleagues are like that.
I’ll conclude here because there’s nothing left to say. The plot would deserve a 6/10 and the characters a 2.5/5 because I didn’t feel as if most of them changed. Finally, it would be a 1/5 for the tearjerker factor.

The problem when I’m seeking web dramas is that I, often, stumble upon them by reading people’s recommendations and end up not finding it that great.
Love Cells (Dating DNA) is a fantastic romantic comedy. Ma Dae Choong is a young man who’s literally a “loser”. He doesn’t have a job, can’t pay for his room and doesn’t have a girlfriend. One day, his cat, Nevi (Nebi), will eat his love cell. From now on, this very love cell will try to do everything in her power to make his favorite idol falls for him and, by the occasion, allows Nevi (the love cell) to become a star and saving her life.
It will be a really short review, since I’ll try to keep it spoilerless and there isn’t much to say about around 150 minutes of drama, which is a bit more than a long movie length.
The plot is pretty usual. When I started watching the drama, I thought that it would be a bit less cliché than it was at the end. I mean, it’s even a American cliché that the male lead falls in love with his helper and not the woman he thought he loved. On that point, I was quite disappointed by the direction the story had deceived to take, but I think it was for the better, in some way. It allowed the second female lead not to fall in a cliché story of a rich-poor relationship. Also, I was quite pleased that, for once, a rich and successful female lead didn’t end up in a strange relationship. I mean, she was with the person she loved and the screenwriter had decided to make their relationship not too cliché, even thought the whole “in love before becoming popular” is often used in k-drama with artists in it. Well that aside, the plot is well-paced and there isn’t too much lengths, probably because the story is kept short (15 episodes of around 10 minutes). Also, the idea at the base of the story line was quite good. I mean, the whole love cell thing was well-thought and really interested me in the story, at first. I don’t have much else to say than the ending was kind of weird with the girl, I could understand why they chose to do things that way, but still...
For the characters there’s sincerely not much to say. I was kind of happy that the helper role was given to the female and not the male lead At that exception, most of the characters were really cliché and they didn’t really change through the drama. The male lead was likable because he wasn’t a “too perfect” male lead. Nevi was kind of nice, but I thought she was a bit too forceful with the male lead and it was kind of annoying. Also, apart from these two and the “second female lead” and her boyfriend, most of the characters weren’t developed and were simply brought into the story to make it progresses, but there was nothing that I found more deceiving that the lack of development and screen presence of a really bad-ass character, the cell hunter. I thought he would be back in season two, but he isn’t.
I’ll conclude here, since I have nothing else to say. The plot would deserve a 7/10. The characters would deserve a 2/5. The tearjerker factor would be a 0/5.
