RIPMedicalDebt Update!

We have the results of our Last Ride campaign from last fall, and folks, we're openly weeping about it! Because of all of us, 621 people are starting the new year with a burden lifted.

We did a huge amount of good, and paid off a whopping $1,180,348.38 in medical debt!

Thank you so much to everyone who contributed, boosted, and supported the scripthunt over the years. It's just so satisfying that our original mission we set out on finished off on such a powerful note. When we all work together, we can do amazing things!

i think it says a lot about the friends and the fanbase misha has gathered that a call to help is answered in creativity and kindness — makes me proud to not only be a fan of him, but amongst other likeminded people!

Anon this is such a nice message 💗 I am really honored to be among all these people. I have been in many fandoms and all of them have been positive experience for me but I truly feel that the spn fandom is special. Maybe that’s because it’s so big but I actually think it’s because of Misha. It really feels like he is the glue keeping this fandom together and he’s inspiration to so many of us to do better & be kinder while at the same time always advocating to stay our silly and chaotic selves. I feel like that is such a winning combination and seeing someone like Misha live by it himself is such a nice experience!

Just want to pull this out of the tags: we expect him to mail the scripts directly to the winners as he's done before. We are very happy to help raise more money for RIP Medical Debt, but we don't expect to have more for our public collection unless the winners are generous. (If you do win, please share!!!)
