There is a silky softness to the curtains that hang over her roommate's windows. Between her fingertips, the sheer fabric slides carelessly through and away, falling silently to the drywall that shines a beautiful daytime blue-white.

Outside, she can see cardinals circling each other on the grass before they zip away for a fleeting moment of rest on the young branches of cedar. Free to be, free to move.

It's so pretty.

A normal life is not something Eileen has ever had or wanted, but she finds herself thinking about it often these days. What life would be like, not hunting the supernatural creatures that seek to steal from humanity? The answer comes as she thinks about the mornings she often wakes to, with eyes wide open and sweat tickling down her spine while the horrors of Hell crossfade with the relief of sunrise.

A new day exists where she reorganizes the trinkets that hang over her bed. Countlessly – a new day having been returned to her true self, as if her soul had never been plowed through, dragged into Hell, and her physical body had never been mauled to death by its hounds.

It was an ambush, she'd later learned. A specially designed attack against her senses to take her clean down. Did that man even realize then that she would be taken to Hell, of all places?

It doesn't matter. Life is full of the selfish and weak. She thinks this, as she tries to ignore the simmering fury that bubbles up her throat every day, threatening to spill over and burn her and anyone she cares about.

With a sigh, she squats down onto her bed and brushes her hand through her hair, stroking carefully near the base of her head, by her neck. She'd slept wrong again.

Soon, the hallway outside her room fills with bright light, indicating that the front door has opened.

When she stands at the entrance to offer a wave, it's Charlie's smile that brightens up the rest of the house. "Hey girl! I'm back."

I'd written this so long ago but it was also part of a chapter of an s14-15 ongoing fix-it fic that I got really delayed on..so if you are familiar with it, well then Eileen's appearance is a general spoiler so congrats for making it this far ! loll

EILEEN LEAHY in INTO THE MYSTIC

[ID. Seven GIFs of Shoshannah Stern as Eileen Leahy in the episode Into the Mystic. In all but the last GIF she is undercover as an employee at Oak Park. She has her hair twisted in a low bun, and is wearing a white polo-shirt with the OP logo, a dark green apron, and a nametag that says “Marlene.” In the first GIF she corrects Sam’s sign-language and says “I appreciate the try.” In the second GIF she brandishes a knife at Sam and narrows her eyes as he explains he’s a hunter not a banshee. In the third GIF she checks the sigil that Sam has painted and, with her shoulders shrugged and her arms crossed, deems it “Not bad.” In the fourth GIF she smiles softly after making a joke about her “trust issues.” In the fifth GIF she signs to Mildred “Are you sure you don’t want both” while they eye up Sam and Dean. I love it when Supernatural was so obvious

It's as if the idea was to show Dean and Cas were a roma--[gunshots]

Imo the best ending to Supernatural would have been to just stop with them alive on a random hunt or them finding jobs and living the life they just wanted or whatever.

And then the story just fucking STOP, because Chuck is not here anymore, so they are no longer part of a story they are finally free. And we could still write and read fanfic about how they live after they won.

supernatural movie reboot but its a ghostfacers mockumentary about their attempt to make a “serious film” about sam and dean winchester. opens on ed and harry going “CUT!” and the camera pans to a guy that looks kind of like jared padalecki pulling off a party city wig. turns out the finale was actually part of the ghostfacer’s retelling of supernatural. Sam Dean and Castiel spend the entire movie chasing after ed and harry trying to stop the thing being made. (its a huge commercial success and they screen it at the destiel wedding)

I would pay an ungodly amount of money for a Supernatural finale where Dean rescues Cas from the Empty and tells him he loves him too, Eileen comes back to be with Sam, and Jack chooses to live with the four of them in the bunker as a happy family.
