Thinking about how the plot of season 6 wouldn’t make sense if you do not acknowledge the fact that Cas and Crowley working together was an affair, or at least it felt like so to Dean.

Majority of the people that I heard saying that they disliked that conflict, say that it doesn’t make sense because Dean should’ve understood Cas’ point of view. And that Dean has also worked with demons before, more than once, out of desperation. Which is why he doesn’t have the right to be mad. And I understand that. But it wasn’t about working with demons. No. Not really. The thing that hurt Dean the most about Cas’ choice was how he chose to ask for help from Crowley, instead of him. Cas chose Crowley over him.

“Look me in the eye, and tell me you’re not working with Crowley…”

“You’re in it with him? You and Crowley?? You’re going after purgatory together??? You have, huh? This whole time!”

“No, you had a choice. You just made the wrong one.”

“I was there. Where were you?”

The plot literally doesn’t make sense if you do not acknowledge destiel or crowstiel or deancascrowley. And I think that’s insane, especially for a show from 2005.

Why are most of the fics under the implied/referenced cheating tag about dean cheating, or the misunderstanding that he did? I mean, if ever that becomes an issue between them,,, it would be a misunderstanding that cas cheated!! Like do you not remember the entire arc of season 6?? Can someone please tell me some really good angsty fics that imply cas cheating. I want all the hurt of TMWWBK but tenfold because it’s an established relationship 😭😭🙏

I’m sure this means absolutely nothing in the overall scheme of things and how so many times specific words/phrases as used purposefully in Supernatural��.but I had a moment.

Crowley calls Castiel “the angel of Thursday” in 6x20 “The Man Who Would Be King” and we know there really is an angel named Castiel and he is the angel of Thursday.

Now here is where my overreaching brain kicks in. Thursday is mentioned quite a few times in the series after Crowley calls him that.

I mean, just in random conversations they’ll decide to use Thursday for whatever turn of phrase they’re using in a particular scene. Not sure why. But like I said, my overreaching brain kicked in.

Everything he did for Sam and Dean made him a pariah to the angels and they insult him for it every chance they get (case in point: Ishim and Mirabel) and every time he tries to help the angels and save heaven Sam and Dean stand in his way and call him stupid for his choices (Killing Billie to save Mary; the man who would be king)

And yet, when Cas leaves, when he walks towards the door and doesn’t look back, Dean was watching him the entire time. He looks away not because he couldn’t look at Cas. But because after what he said (which he knew was wrong), he couldn’t have Cas look at him. And if you see the parallels of this scene to 6x20, it makes perfect sense. Cas couldn’t look at Dean for the same reason Dean couldn’t look at Cas. It wasn’t hate, it was shame.
