i love how tonally different the first and last splatfests of each splatoon game are. the first ones are just "how many pillows do you have one your bed?" "what is your favorite kind of soda :D" and halfway into the game's lifespan nintendo just doesn't pull any punches and it's like "would you kill the president of the usa if given the chance."

The reader is very clearly a self-insert of myself, so be nice! these are MY personal headcanons for Tommy, in which she is transfem and a lesbian, sorry man likers. Do not envision a genderswapped Thomas when reading this please!! My version of Tommy is not going through a transion besides growing out her hair and is happy with the way she looks. Think of canon Thomas with longer hair instead. Have fun!!

Summary ~  Tommy and the reader cuddle while they play Splatoon 3 and then bone.

Dry Texas heat sticks to your skin, even with the ceiling fan on full blast you are no match for the sheer amount of heat. Thomas, the gentlelady she is, crept downstairs to get you the strawberry Monster you had brought over earlier today to share. The little game system rests in your hands as you wait to be placed into a match, quiet music falling upon deaf ears. You lean back, looking up at the decorations hanging from the walls, and you notice Ozzy staring into the inky depths of your oh-so-edgy soul. Giggling at that thought, you look back at the game; a little pinging noise rings out, Finally!

The internet here sucks ass, you had to have been waiting for at least 5 minutes, but that doesn't stop you from trying. (even if you get kicked out and temporarily banned for an hour.) The match starts, and you can hear the creaky bedroom door open, and the trademark heavy footsteps mixed with the shuffling of their feet against the floor.

"Welcome back Pookie!" You squeal quietly as she sits down next to you on the bed, placing your respective can of Monster on her side table. her face crinkles at the nickname you bestowed upon her. They start typing on their phone, so you go back to killing other players with Aerospray spam, successfully team-killing all four enemy players.

"RAAAAH!! eagle emoji, eagle emoji, eagle emoji, fire emoji, American flag emoji!" you exclaim, making sure to be careful with your voice to not wake up Ms. Luda Mae in the next room. A robotic feminine tone rings out into the quiet room shortly after your outburst,

"Shark attack in the aquarium, shark atta- shark attack in the aquarium, sha- shark- shark attack in the- shark-" you look up at Tommy, her phone in her hand, spamming her TTS app. She looks so proud of herself, a smile playing on her lips like she wants to laugh. They look so pretty like this, leather mask abandoned from her face, scarred cheek on display, you can see into her mouth through the hole. She's missing her nose but it doesn't seem to take away from her beauty. her scarred cleft lip twitches as she notices your staring, smile faltering for a moment.

"Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't realize I was staring directly at you." You exhale, feeling the warmth of fresh blood rush to your face, you can only hope that the red fairy lights strung from the ceiling can hide it. Looking back at your game, you check the map. The opposing team managed to infiltrate your team's base while you were AFK. With only a few seconds left, you accept your defeat and place the Switch down on the bed next to you. You look back up at Tommy, she's watching you carefully, "You're just really pretty, sometimes I can't help myself, and I space out when I look at you. You know I think you're the prettiest person I've ever been with, right?" you clarify, you lean into her, pressing your face into her meaty shoulder. God, I love this woman. you think, inhaling her honey-like scent.

"You're too sappy. I love you." The robotic tone spits out. Tommy's large hand wraps around your wrist, the one with the matching half-heart pendant to hers. She brings your wrist, and attached hand, up to her face, Pressing her lips against the back of your hand. She begins their little routine of treating you like Morticia Adams, herself playing the role of Gomez. She trails kisses up your arm feverishly, only stopping momentarily when she gets to the sleeve of her T-shirt. You laugh, letting yourself be manhandled by your girlfriend. She reaches for her phone again, "Nice shirt." The monotone voice rings. The voice was right, it is a nice shirt, especially because you stole it from a very pretty lady. It hangs too big on you, even being a bigger person yourself, like a dress more than a shirt, it has the Slipknot logo printed on it.

"Thanks! You'll never guess where I got it," You giggle. Thomas continues her kisses up your neck, craning down to meet its height. She moves up, kissing where your face meets your ear, trailing to kisses all over your face. She lets out a dramatic airy sigh, placing their final kiss on your lips. You lift your leg and use the hand that is holding your wrist to create the momentum needed to fling yourself on her lap. You wrap your thighs around her hips as much as possible, fitting together like a puzzle piece. Your head is right at her chest level because of the height difference, so you lean forward and pretend to sleep, your head in between her very muscly and meaty breasts.

"I'm so in love with you, Tommy." You lift your head to look at her, a small smile playing on your lips. Her eyes light up, and she softly wraps her arms around your waist. She stares down at you for a few moments, tilting her head as if that would help her read your mind. She tests her luck, rolling her hips in an attempt to grind into you. "Oh, um, if you're asking if we can do that then it's a yes!" you squeak, quickly adding, "Only if you want to though! I didn't mea-" You're cut off by her face smooshing against yours.

She rolls you onto your back, towering over you as she takes off her tightly fitted shirt, and slips out of their jean shorts. They grab their phone again, scrolling for a little bit before the red stereo blinks on with a "Bluetooth connected!"  She smiles with her teeth, showing off her bigger-than-average canines. You're a mess, giggling and blushing and rocking side to side from where you lay, giddy with excitement and sheer love for the dork on top of you. Custer by Slipknot comes on before quickly Tommy lets out a nervous yelp, quickly changing it to No More Tears by Ozzy Osbourne.

"Nice save," You giggle, Tommy is quick to glare and bare her teeth, pushing up your (her) shirt and biting down on your plush stomach. You let out a yelp, attempting to cover your stomach with your hands, but Thomas is quick to catch them. Grabbing both wrists in one hand, she takes off your (her) shirt carefully, making sure your hands can't escape her grasp. She uses one hand to slide your pink and white skull-and-crossbones shorts and underwear out from under you by lifting you. All the while you just can't stop giggling, She's so cute when she's like this.

She places her open hand between your legs, finding your clit with two fingers, she swirls around it gently for a few seconds before checking if you're prepared for her. She deems you adequate and lays herself on top of you very carefully, treating you like glass. She keeps their hand on your wrists, holding herself up some as she finds your entrance with the head of her penis. She pushes in with an audible whimper, burring her head into your neck and biting down hard. Her hair spills over your face, but you're too focused on her being inside of you for you to notice how it tickles your nose and cheeks. She grabs her phone in a shaking hand, and over the music, you hear "I want to breed you." in that same monotone voice. You know exactly what she wants to hear.

"Please? Will you breed me, please?" You whine, bucking your hips to meet hers. She quickens her pace, and soft slapping flesh sounds surround your ears. She lets go of your wrists and lifts your legs to her waist, motioning for you to keep them there. She slides her knees underneath your thighs and ass, holding you in a Breeding Press. You can feel your release approaching, but she looks closer. Tommy catches onto that fact at about the same time, rubbing into your clit softly with their open palm.

You grab onto the sheets tightly as an orgasm wracks through your body, and Tommy places her hand on your throat with a gentle squeeze. She rocks into you, and something warm spills into you as they keep going. When she's sure she's filled you enough, she collapses on top of you, soft belly pressing into your ribs and abdomen. Me again!(I like your answers) splat 1 introduced 6 weapon classes. Splat '2' added '2' more. Splat 3 has added 2 more classes so far, but to reach the namesake '3' it requires 1 more weapon class. What would you make for the final Splat 3 weapon class.

I actually do think 2 new weapon classes are sufficient for Splatoon 3. After all, following this pattern, in the next 10 years we'd have ~20 weapon classes, which would frankly be far too much.

That being said, I have had a weapon class idea bubbling around in my head for a long time, so I'll dedicate a short post to it.

If we look at all the classes in Splatoon, they're mostly all based around combat and dealing damage. The only real exceptions are Brellas (and some individual weapons like the Explosher, Splattershot Nova, Aeropsray, Big Swig Roller, Rapid Blaster/ Pro etc). These weapons can still fight adequately, but they also do other things for their team.

I think there is room for another weapon class with deployables like the Brella shields, but I really haven't given that enough thought yet. Today we're talking about Steamers!

What is a steamer?

Like how Splatanas and Stringers are the Splatoon equivalent of swords and bows respectively, Steamers would be the equivalent of flamethrowers.

There would be a lot of possible inspirations for different main weapons in the Steamer class. Basically anything that heats water or sprays water vapor; a shower head, humidifier, clothing iron, kettle, spraypaint and so on.

Essentially, using a Steamer would cause mist to spew in front of you for as long as you hold ZR. I imagine this mist would cover everything it touches in your ink, which is why I'd compromise it with generally slow movement while holding ZR to manage their potential ink coverage.

When enemies are in your mist, they take chip damage every 0.5 seconds. It wouldn't be a lot of damage, just enough to splat after 2-4 seconds of exposure depending on the weapon you're using. In addition, there would be variable damage in the mist, the centre being a sweet spot dealing the most damage per second, and the edges being sour spots dealing less damage.

In all honesty, I've only really thought about this as 1 weapon so far. There is a lot of potential for 5-6 more unique Steamer weapons, different mist effects, different mist shapes and so on.

I've just named my 'standard' Steamer, called the Deep Steamer, a big blocky humidifier that sprays mist out of multiple vents. It'd be a middleweight weapon with range to spray mist and ink across a large area with decent damage and balanced by its lack of mobility.

This felt a lot different to type out than my other posts so far, not really any analysis in this one, just me talking about something that I'd think would be a cool addition to the game! I do think Splatoon is sorely missing an area of effect main weapon, and adding in Steamers would round the game out to include most of the weapon archetypes present in multiplayer games!

How KHR characters play Splatoon + their weapons

I’m gonna sound insane to people who don’t play Splatoon

Tsuna- Half the time the match loads up and the other three members on his team disconnect. Sweats bullets in the heat of the match especially at the countdown phase. Never has the guts to kill Kyoko’s character. He keeps up Splattershot Jr throughout the whole game

Yamamoto- Insanely good aim but aim doesn’t matter in Splatoon and he likes spending more time covering ground rather than hitting players. Plays the Slosher cause it seems the most fun and splashy

Gokudera- Covers decent ground. Follows Tsuna and kills anyone who shoots at them. If they’re on opposite teams he goes idle. Mains the Blaster cause look at this thing 

Ryohei- Obviously loud as hell, rushes into the map forgetting he can travel faster as a squid, has dramatic one sided conversations with idle players or players he’s at a stalemate with. Friend requests everyone who manages to beat him in a match because “he loves their passion” and Hibari has rejected him 62 times (still counting). Mains rapid blaster

Lambo- Screams every time he gets killed and starts rambling on how the other player must be cheating. Gets distracted from the goal of victory and starts trying to paint his name on the mini map. Will destroy anyone from the opposite team whose ink ruins it and has won entire matches this way. Plays the roller

Hibari- Terrifying, regularly gets entire team kills. Still loses every match cause the point of the game is to paint the ground and he only knows violence. Puts the controller in front of Hibird when he doesn’t feel like playing a match. Mains duales

Chrome- Knows how to play the game like a normal person. Says “mh” each time she gets a kill (just means she’s happy). Good balance of coverage and offense. Her strategy relies on hiding as a squid and popping out of the ink. She likes swimming as the squid, just goes around in circles if her team is well into winning. A beast with the E-liter

Mukuro- As an avid player I can tell you it’s possible to psychologically manipulate people in Splatoon. He also does insane trick shot kills and plays the most infuriating weapons in the game very well. Will drop everything to squid party with Chrome if they’re in the same match, they’re pretty much useless together. Similar main to Chrome but works faster with less precision on the Splat Charger

Haru- The most well rounded player of the teens; she covers ground, she’s strategic, she kills, she’s a team player. She’s also very sweet to novice players but will bark at you like a drill sergeant otherwise. This girl plays Splatoon like how 14 year old boys played COD in early 2000s minus the offensive language. Mains Inkbrush

Kyoko- Has exaggerated reactions at in game events, like saying “ow” when killed or gasping when she sees an enemy. She’s a very good sport and can even reign in Haru and Gokudera’s temper. Saves all the videos she records of funny moments between her and her friends. Surprisingly ruthless too, will shoot Tsuna’s character as he hesitates or her brother mid monologue. Mains Splat Brella cause she thought it was cute and now she’s op with the shield capabilities

In hindsight, Junichi should've known that there was something up about this 'secret level' he found. CQ seemed a bit excited for him to do the level, and the reward for completing it seemed to be a little excessive with how simple it seemed at first glance. All he had to do was shoot 10 targets before time ran out. It had seemed easy enough, but as soon as he began riding one of the three ink rails available, he found out very quickly why the level seemed so strange.

As the first target came into view, Junichi raised his Bamboozler with steady hands. However, before he could pull the trigger, he felt a soft, tickly sensation over his stomach. Junichi let out a squeak as he nearly dropped his weapon, barely processing the fact that the target was now out of his range as the tickling continued. He only had just enough time to see the feathers that were somehow attached to machinery on the other ink rails before the bag on his back exploded, sending him right back where he started.

Okay. That was weird. Junichi sighed as the gravity of the situation dawned on him. He was going to have to shoot all 10 targets while being tickled. Great. Just wonderful. Right before he moved to ride the ink rail again, he heard CQ Cumber speak.

"Oh yeah, and I forgot to tell you this earlier. Judging by how pink your face is right now, I'm sure you've figured out that this level's a bit different than what you're used to. This also applies to what happens if you fail the level."

"What's gonna happen if I fail this level?" The octoling asked, fearful at what the answer could be. Usually whenever the conductor wanted to do something different for failing a level, it just meant that Junichi would probably lose a lot more cash than he normally would.

"Eh, you'll probably find out." Was all he got in response.

Junichi sighed as he failed to fight the heat rising to his face, stepping on the ink rail once more. After a few seconds, the first target came into view, and the familiar feathers came with it.

"Dahahamn it!" He laughed as he missed his first shot. Thankfully, he whipped around and aimed again at the target, hitting it right before it got out of reach.

Somehow, he was able to shoot the second and third targets without too much of a struggle. He raised his weapon to aim at the fourth target, but then he felt a totally different sensation, this time over his ribs and hips. Junichi pulled the trigger out of shock as he shrieked, hitting the target dead on.

"WHAHAHAHAT THE HELL?!" He laughed, yanking at the brushes that were currently attacking him from both sides. "FUHUHUHUCK, I CAHAHAN'T DO THIS!!"

The octoling saw the fifth target in his sight, but a brush making its way to a sweet spot right under his ribs crushed any hope he had of even attempting to hit it, letting his head fall as he heard his bag begin to detonate.

"Ah, you were almost half way there, kid." The sea slug commented. "A valiant attempt, but it's not enough. This is your last shot, you better make it count, Giggles."

Junichi ignored him, his cheeks as pink as his hair as he rode the ink rails once more, determined to beat the level. He squeaked and giggled through the first three targets, and despite how hard he laughed as the rough brushes tickled all over his upper body, he was able to hit the next three targets. By now, his entire face was probably red from laughter and embarrassment.

As the seventh target came by, he felt the brushes finally go away as huge, fluffy feathers now wiggling behind his ears as he aimed his Bamboozler.

"Not my ears, nohohohohot thehehere!!" Junichi whined, shaking his head in an attempt to get away from the devious feathers as the target was hit. "Cuhuhuhut it out!!!"

While the lighter tickling wasn't ideal, it certainly wasn't unwelcome, the poor octoling appreciated being able to properly aim his weapon instead of shooting blindly due to the intense tickling. Eight targets down, two more to go.

As he hit the ninth target with a little too much ease, Junichi felt anxious. There was no way that he would be able to hit the tenth target with just feathers in his ears. Suddenly, he got his answer as several mechanical hands emerged from the ink rails. Junichi's eyes bugged out of his head as they all attacked him at once, sending him into hysterical laughter. There was a pair of hands squeezing his sides and fluttering over his ribs, one hand spidering over his bare stomach, and he felt one devious hand tickling all over his neck and ears.

Over his hysterics, he saw the last target in his sight. However, every time he tried to aim, a finger would be wiggling in his belly button, or fingers would be tickling under his chin. Junichi had long thrown out all modesty out the window, freely laughing as he shot blindly. After several more seconds of this madness, the ink rail had ended, sending the octoling flying onto a platform.

Junichi could barely bring himself up to even complete the level despite the end being a few meters away. However, a quick look at the timer had him jump off the floor with lightning speed as he ran towards the exit door. After he passed through it, a familiar sea slug was there to greet him.

"Didn't think you'd make it, Giggles. Good job." He said, almost with disappointment. "You were cutting it close though, you only had 5 seconds left on the clock."

Junichi couldn't even respond to the embarrassing nickname, too tired to even think of a witty response. So the octoling just dropped his weapon, walking right past CQ as he boarded the train to greet Captain Cuttlefish.

The Rainbow Splatoon

A collection of colorful squid catz, on the day of release of the Inklingz breed file on [BAD_DEATH] I definitely went a little overboard and decided to collect one of every color. The little menagerie was cute... But also quite same-y as, all being from the Adoption Center, they all had very similar personalities with only a few of them having some noteworthy differences. Cute, but I could not help but feel I would inevitably gravitate to a single or pair of favorites among the bunch and forget the rest...

But then...

I had started tinkering with hex editing, starting first with Light and Corvo. I learned quite a lot and with that knowledge I returned my thoughts to my squid catz and asked, "Could I make the Rainbow Splatoon better by making them all a little more unique from each other?" The answer is "<コ:彡 yeah!"

Name: Rose SCP: BD Inklingz (Calico-based non-OW) Personality: Playful, kind and friendly (Unchanged control) Favorite Color: Yellow Favorite Flavor: Fish Description: The control of the Rainbow Splatoon, Rose is mostly unaltered and only features a change to her tentacle tips and toes to yellow to match the rest of her peers. She loves the other Inklingz but they aren't always the kindest to her.

Name: Butterscotch SCP: Alley Cat Personality: Aggressive, stubborn and independent Favorite Color: Red Favorite Flavorz: Soft + Bone Description: The fighter of the Rainbow Splatoon, Butterscotch is belligerent and quick to pick fights with everyone else. Well, almost everyone else: Maya's chill vibes and lack of fear around Butterscotch makes the teal Inkling the orange warrior's only friend among the seven squidz.

Name: Sunglow SCP: Orange Shorthair Personality: Anxious, timid but playful Favorite Color: Blue Favorite Flavor: Chicken Description: The scaredy-cat of the Rainbow Splatoon, Sunglow bolts at practically anything and is a sensitive little squid. She really does worry herself sick! At least when she isn't running from misinterpreted "threats" she proves to be a playful squid kitty.

Name: Jade SCP: Persian Personality: Lazy, gluttonous and relaxed Favorite Color: Pink Favorite Flavor: Turkey Description: The sleepyhead of the Rainbow Splatoon, Jade spends much of her time, well, sleeping between her time spent eating. And she is not picky about what she eats! Not even the dog food is off limits to this little glutton!

Name: Maya SCP: Russian Blue Personality: Calm, confident and stubborn Favorite Color: Purple Favorite Flavorz: Chicken + Sweet Description: The free-spirit of the Rainbow Splatoon, Maya keeps her cool in even the most heated situations (which proves useful with how crazy some of her peers can get). That same chill vibe does give her a bit of a stubborn side.

Name: Lapis SCP: Siamese Personality: Proud, independent and clever Favorite Color: Orange Favorite Flavorz: Fish + Catnip Description: The snob of the Rainbow Splatoon, Lapis isn't one for play and tends to keep only a few close confidantes among her peers but who knows how long that will last. She does seem to have a soft spot for puppiez and kittenz, though.

Name: Eminence SCP: Chinchilla Persian Personality: Spoiled, gentle but clingy Favorite Color: Green Favorite Flavorz: Sweet + Soft Description: The princess of the Rainbow Splatoon, Eminence loves being the center of attention and is eager to please so long as everyone else heaps the praise. She is legitimately friendly but her tendency towards throwing tantrums when things don't go her way can make her come across as abrasive at times.

Bonus Facts! 1. When editing everyone I approached how I would change everyone like how I approach character design for animals. I also changed everyone according to how they should act around one another as the seven would be seeing each other quite a lot! 2. Some traits that I did not touch included Maya and Eminence being friends from the start, Lapis having high finickiness and Sunglow and Eminence naturally being tricksters. Some of them also had 100 in certain stats that aligned with the personality I was building for them so I kept them at 100. 3. If you are unfamiliar with Splatoon fanart it's not unusual to come across Inkling and Octoling OCs with bi-colored hair. As much as the plan was to leave Rose completely unaltered I couldn't resist adding this detail when I realized I could swap around textures.
