Introducing, the Dual Snippers

"A new entry into the splatana class, sold by Foil. The Dual Snippers - despite it's name - aren't dualies, but they function similarly to dualies such as the Dualie Squelchers in that they can join together for an alternate attack. Each blade can only be swung one at at time, alternating the angle of the horizontal slash. But they can be snapped together during it's charge attack in order to create a wide V-shaped slash."

This is my first time ever designing and modeling a Splatoon weapon from scratch. I've had this idea floating around in my mind for months, and while other scissor weapons have probably already been made before (I haven't seen them, so I apologize if this is unintentionally copying someone's design) I wanted to try my hand at modeling it. I didn't sketch anything beforehand I just went for it.

I'm planning to learn how to animate in Blender so I can create a weapon demonstration video which shows them in action, but I'm not sure if it'll be soon because I've never animated before. I am planning to create more renders of these in use though, as well as an alternate skin and stats to go along with them. Does anyone have any kit ideas? I've been brainstorming them for a while, but it's hard to visualize the playstyle of a weapon that doesn't exist.

Another splatoon weapon idea! This one's a splatana based on a lip gloss applicator. I was thinking its gimmick could be that it could hold a charge, and the lip gloss tube could function like a scabbard, idk. The tradeoff for that would probably be having shorter range than the wiper.

I don't have any ideas for the name though so feel free to suggest something!

The OneSlop Slosher

This is my concept for a Spatoon weapon inspired by a polaroid camera! (The OneStep with the added flash specifically)

It has a unique mechanic, two different firing modes. BUT! They alternate automatically, so you'll have to strategize around that. (A gif showcasing the inking is below the cut, below the image! Telling you due to potentially triggering flashing!)

The first slosh is always the "Flash Slosh". Its shape is similar to a horisontal flick with a Carbon Roller, but maybe lower range.

After that, the "Pic Slosh"! It is similar to an Explosher slosh but with half the range and instead of a round explosion, an inkpattern of a polaroid photo is dispensed, like the ink pattern after an Ultra Stamp! (idk what kinda damage the different sloshes do, balancing is hard!!)

Also, as you can see I use the Splatoon 2 inktank. Cuz I have a Agent 4 project going on so I needed the Splatoon 2 models for that anyway, so I had them on hand for this.)

Wade's humanoid form is like, fucked up, so he's always inky. basically it's stuck in the middle ground when going from swim-form to humanoid form (I must sound insane to anyone who hasn't played splatoon lmfao)

↓ headgear + mask designs (masks have some ↓ fish elements too cuz im crazy like that)

and since I made their outfits with in-game gear it means I can cosplay them lmao

(I noticed the Golden Gala Masque has pretty much the same shape as Wolverine's mask so it can be an alternative gear option ig lol 💀🙏)
