We need to acknowledge that Yugo spends almost the entirety of arc-v just skipping around between dimensions with no control over where he ends up. Reminder that Yugo is re-introduced to the plot like four times by just poofing into being, usually on a motorcycle, typically in places where a motorcycle should not be. Reminder that Yugo is a cryptid who, upon to being questioned on how he miraculously showed up on a heavily guarded island in the middle of the ocean, refers to being transported there by magical artifacts beyond his ken as "the usual"
What I'm saying is Yugo randomly popping out of shrubbery and dumpters with exactly zero idea how he got there is 100% true to canon and should be utilized in fanworks more often.

Of all the stuff that happened in the Z-ARC fight, the #1 thing I can't get over is a random presumed dead ninja swooping in at the last second of a duel and swapping the about-to-lose-Declan for a log that has Declan's scarf wrapped around it.

I love this shot because Shay is serving "someone's little blorbo who got a blankie hastily drawn on them in msp paint" energy

The fact that the math checks out both makes me mildly pleased and ever so slightly furious

Okay, who had "spk becomes convinced that Zarc was an incarnation of Jaden in the original timeline" on their bingo cards?

Arc-V, your quality might be inconsistent and dubious, but I may be willing to overlook that because you gave the main character big ears and dragon claws

I need to get me some of the confidence Declan Akaba has. He sees his lancers bellyflop in the Friendship Cup and goes, "This truly shows our resilience in the face of tragedy." and I almost believe him. He gets told to shut off the reactor and proceeds to spend five episodes just standing there doing nothing but with so much self assuredness that you don't even question it. He managed to talk his way out of an infinite death chamber by being really chill about playing card games. We don't see him for almost half a season and then he randomly shows up with a speedboat. I'm convinced he just walked up to a dockworker and said "This is my speedboat now."

Not to sound like a victorian, but the most vital part of Declan Akaba’s character design is his bare-ass ankles.
Mans wearing patent leather Beckett Simonons with NO SOCKS. He has cuffed his pants so everyone can see this crime against footwear. He is flaunting his rebellion and his wading-bird-ankles that could be snapped like a twig.

I don't know if it's intentional; but it is genuinely saddening that Yusho is a better dueltainer than his son.
I'm in the home stretch of Arc-V episodes, and now that we actually get to see Yusho duel it's obvious that he's just more... entertaining than Yuya. He's got this fun "silly uncle who pretends to pull a quarter from behind your ear" charm, much better charisma, and wears the morals he preaches far more naturally than Yuya, in places where pacifism makes sense, instead of some of Yuya's duels where it just felt like naivety. He just makes the whole ringmaster shtick feel more natural, and totally an extension of his character.
Idk, Yusho showing up and being active in the plot just drives home how desperately borrowed Yuya's aesthetic is.
