I liked the introduction of different factions!

The mercenary bots were cool and brought some nice diversity

And Megatron getting STABBED and Optimus helping him

Like DUDE the amount of kindness OP has is IMMENSE and Megatron has the AUDACITY to take advantage of it

EVEN WHEN OPTIMUS WAS ABOUT TO KILL MEGATRON (he still didn’t but STILL) HE ASKED, rather BEGGED for Megatron forgiveness with such CONVICTION IN HIS VOICE

..and he still couldn’t do it

He later admits to being foolish for still thinking Megatron could change

(If it’s the aligned continuity he continues to do so for another few million years, I guess)

But I just feel bad for him

He’s been through so much and he lost his brother in arms and now they’re fighting over the fate of their world and he still struggles to do “one horrendous act in order to save” (or something along those lines) because he’s COMPASSIONATE

And I just KNOW if Optimus ended up killing Megatron right there he would’ve greived— mourned for the loss of what could’ve been, had Megatron chosen to change his ways and end the war

Anyway I really liked Earthrise!!

Lots of nice character development and worldbuilding!!

The fighting was well choreographed and the dialogue was so RAW sometimes AAAA

my favorite was probably when Optimus said “You cannot save a world by MURDERING ITS PEOPLE”

That’s to be expected, but the animation and storytelling in this series is PHENOMENAL

Very much a War Is Hell kinda show, but it’s really interesting to me

Both optimus and megatron believe they’re right and the lines of good and bad are blurred a bit
