I wish I had energy for something more ambitious as art for the SU Movie's 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY, but alas... It is really late, and I am very tired... I thought this was enough for now, though ^^

Weird meta commentary piece about Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond fan content. Because when I draw Pink, and enjoy drawing Pink, I can hear a Rose Quartz in my head feeling bad about it and I feel a little guilty, but then I tell her this.

Important part: because this is a meta piece about fan content I did homages to some of my favorite Pink Diamond fanarts that live freely in my head:

"Pink's Wish" an animated short by BlooZStella on youtube about specific events in Pink Diamond's life before her colony. (Check out BlooZStella on twitter and instagram they make a lot of SU illustrations and animations!)

The last panel in this Pink and Spinel funny by @tocontrolyou (check out their commissions sheet!) I don't know why but that panel is always stuck in my head it's so funny and cute!

The last piece in this sketch sheet by @arrozaurus (check out their art blog @nereamerayo!) I love their Pink/Rose works in general, but this cotton candy one is so funny and lives in my head rent free. (confession time that it technically inspired part the joke in this piece as well)

And the silhouette covering the whole of the bottom panels is inspired by this piece by @purpleorange which is beautiful and I love the line "I choose not to find out."

Another WIP <3

I thought Spinel deserved to have a new form post-reformation! One no longer marked by her trauma to show that she's been healing and doing better. :3

She's a bit taller and more adult-coded! She's matured a bit, and while her hair is softer and puffier, it's no longer bound to the heart shapes she had in her original "toy" form.
