hey ho! this is an au idea i've had for a while, its a genderbent no-quirk high school au! fun!

yoichi is (as you can see) an emo girl! thats a lie actually, shes grunge.

she looks a bit unapproachable, but don't let that deceive you. shes still the same old yoichi, quiet but very sweet :D

also, i made this au soley because i wanted to recreate that one meme where its 'me and the bad b i pulled' and its the most basic dressed girl ever next to coolest girl ever. spoiler alert that cool girl is yoichi (she deserves to be cool) u can guess who the 'basic' partner is...

I like to think Spikey would be the type to have a whole bunch of exotic pets (but In A Good Way, he knows what he's doing and takes very good care of every animal he comes across - along with Poppy)

So I drew Poppy and he with a couple of their bestest companions ♥︎

The one Poppy is holding is called a Floffy (I'll not hear any slander. He's not creepy. He's adorable 😅) His natural environment is mainly deep caves, so he's completely blind, BUT he has an impeccable sense of smell. He uses his "bulb," as they call it, to lure in cave dwelling rodents and bat like creatures. But they're also known to eat rocks. His favorite mode of transportation is hopping around. They can launch themselves up to 5 and a half feet horizontally. Or Poppy just picks him up... His little legs can only do so much. His nails are retractable, and they can cut through solid cavern rock when fully out. They're a peaceful species regularly, so Poppy or Spikey don't have to worry about him being aggressive with the other creatures.

The one Spikey is holding is named Skitter because, contrary to popular belief, she does have little legs and skitters all over their place of residence very fast. She shakes her spikes when she's annoyed (kind of like how a cat flicks their tail when they're annoyed), but this one is a sweet girl and rarely shakes (at them). Skitter, in the wild, can live in either deep bodies of water or in warm climates (like the desert). They are really resilient to temperature change and are mostly content anywhere they get food. Skitter is a bit of a troublemaker... getting into fights with some of the older creatures they keep. She has to stay with them in their room during sleep because of this. She is partially blind and uses the sensations in the ground to find food, but because they're not too good at seeing right in front of them, it makes them a tad more aggressive than a Floffy. She has challenged beasts twice her size.

I have a headcanon that Klowns live in dimmer environments, so they have either totally blind or partially blind creatures living there as well (in the daylight) they have animals that can also see in the dark. I gave them all the same cheek markings as klowns bc I thought that would be cute. The coolest thing; Because they live in a darker area, most of their animals are bioluminescent or have some sort of glowing factor (I want to draw what I think their home would look like and what their animals glowing would look like - I think it would be cool) Note, ^these are animals that Only come from their planet. Spikey has and will continue to try and steal other planet creatures to take care of. This means that either their environment will affect them in some way or they just won't be bioluminescent. But they could also have other cool contributions from their previous planet.

Poppy and Spikey love all of their pets, and I want to draw more of them bc I have a few creature ideas that I think would be cute as their little "furry companions" ♡
