Thinking about how I want to redesign my blog. I just need to ramble.

I'm thinking Vapor Wave and 1980s Aesthetic.✨✨✨✨

Since I have a deep love for the 1980s. Especially the Architecture, aesthetic, and Fashion. And while my interests tend to shift very rapidly, that one seems to stay fairly consistent. Most of my hyperfixations have been related to the 80s somehow. Or if not, I would try to apply an 80s style to them in my art. 🤣

Speaking of which, I'm actually writing a private project inspired by Vapor Wave, 1980s - 2000s, 80s Anime, and a hint of the 1960s. (It's a very retro project.😅) I don't know if I'll ever post any of it here, since I've been keeping it under lock and key since I was frickin 16. But maybe someday.

Additionally, I'm gonna spiff up my tag system. Good luck finding anything I posted after the revamp. Everything is gonna be a lot more organized. Lol.

I'm also wondering if I should change my blog handle. I made it when I was just starting out and just smooshed a bunch of words together. On the other hand, it's what everyone knows me by. Hmmm.

god. pacing. this is ROTD spiff so badly its INCREDIBLE.

so like. i DID intend ROTD spiff to be an asshole!! lord barkis is SUCH an asshole in the movie! he's visibly older than victoria by a good bit. he flirts with her in a way that just feels. sooo gross. there's a scene in the movie that I didn't adapt to the fic because I didn't want ANOTHER pov change where Lord Barkis (IIRC) talks to a portrait of Victoria and says something along the lines of how she wont have to suffer this union for very long. BRO. YOU'RE IN THEIR DAMN HOUSE STILL. I intended ROTD spiff to be similar! just rude and an asshole and unrepentant about his crimes!

and then he just. wasn't. and it's mostly my own fault jakdfjs.

My first mistake was that I made Spiff too young. I made him too close to my age, which made me keep thinking about how I would've felt- I'm turning 20 in march, and I made him 20 in Jan of 1877, which makes him 17 in 1874 when he murders Dan.

My second, and primary, mistake is that I thought about him for too long. When writing the final chapter, I went. huh. Spiff is 20 here, a few years younger than Kevin and Seán (who are 21 and 22-almost-23 in Jan 1877 respectively). and he killed a guy at 17. That's gotta fuck a guy up.

and then i couldnt stop thinking about it. ok. abstracted, we have a guy that has killed a guy and planned to kill another and is still literally only 20. age is not an excuse for Actual Premeditated Murder but you can't tell me that it didn't fuck him up, at least a little. and add that on top of the possibility that he killed the only person who genuinely, really cared about him. how long do you think he deliberated on if he was going to go through with his plan. do you think there was a span of time where he truly let himself love dan. do you think answering "yes" or "no" to those questions makes it worse?

i reblogged this post into the rotd tag back in April. i think that's a good summary of ROTD spiff. a guy who was unloved (woa what who said that) and couldn't handle being loved and made the worst mistake of his life. and proceeded to keep making it because then he could pretend he meant it. spiff can be summed up by "hubris and hates it" i think.

there's a lot of similarities between spiff and jim I think. interpret that as you will. there's actually a really rough idea for an alternative universe where everything turns out fine because jim or grim or someone finds out about spiff's plan to kill Seán before he goes through with it. jim and spiff are murder buddies and rtspiff reconcile- the trio shifts into a strange little polycule in that verse.

and while writing the finale I started toying around with the idea of writing his perspective, and then i listened to a few songs that gave me a few ideas for future events and it was all over. He hasn't left my head. I'm thinking about him ALL THE TIME. I'm only barely exaggerating.

Sometimes it sucks to be ROMANCE REPULSED

I like romance, don't get me wrong, its not for me and my very aroace self but its cute, in theory

But sometimes, Sometimes i can't STAND IT it just makes me feel icky to read or see

And its NOW of all times, 2 days before valentines I'm feeling repulsed, like WHY NOW

I wanna write cute fluff for a oneshot, but brains like NOPE

And SURE it's potentially gonna be...awkward for me to write cause imma be bumbling through making an UNKNOWN a-spec bean dealing with ROMANCE and a DATE

Its bad enough whenever i try to write one of my beans Soleo (non fandom bean) cause he is an AlloAllo Cis Harpy Man, and I am debatably ONE of those things

Idk, Idc, labels are whatever sometimes (there is a REASON I have Starboy Moon as apathetic Man rather then just Man like Solar, Mkay? Mkay.)

I want to write Moon figuring out his date with Solar but I am not having it rn it seem...I WANT THE CUTE BUT BRAIN SAYS NOPE

...still have no clue what their date will be...

And I was trying to deal with plot details for the SolarMoon blog (in progress....) cause imma have lore and PLOT and it will have a timeline of major stuff to back it up (with lenience for some stuff...cause Fun)

But also...I WANT TO GRAB MOON AND SHAKE HIM LIKE WHY YOU LIKE THIS

He don know what he is so I DONT KNOW what he is, he's spec, I know that, where? NO CLUE so he gets to go through questioning that and potentially being lightly pestered via asks cause feelings are funky, feelings are hard

but i still want to SHAKE HIM like beans.....beans why you do this, why you always having crisis's on me whyyyyyyyy

And....to make things more fun, asides that I cant DRAW for a few days :' D I need to rest my hand...so that sucks

So imma just...not write romance or deal with rom stuff rn, leave the beans to bean for now cause....my heads just getting fuzzy rn so backing away, and lurk with frens for a bit (quietly existing with frens is just...so nice sometimes, just vibing and watching em be happy...its nice)

And when I am feeling up to it, I am going to piece by piece pick apart the physiology, perhaps some psychology and mayhaps tied into real world inspirations and ways to expand on them and their existence of the Ghost Leviathans

But for now...I think I'll just go watch Spiff's video of when he beat all (at the time) fnaf games in one sitting ^-^ Ranting complete! ✨
