Summary: Walter won't stop telling bad Science jokes.

(Honestly would not have pictured Tom Holland and Will Smith working so well together, but they did ❤️ :) Their characters blended together amazingly and made for a funny movie that probably highly rips off the Men in Black franchise ❤️😅 Highly recommend if you haven't seen yet ❤️ :))

Walter lifted his binoculars to study the nearby building while he reported, "Building's still deserted. Waiting on definite movement before moving in."

"Ugh." Lance slumped in the driver's seat. "Stake outs are always the most boring part of the job."

"Don't they have to be boring before you get any action? The 'calm before the storm' Director Joy was talking about?"

"It's a way too long calm." Lance fed Lovey a few crumbs. "Only reason we're sticking it out is because our intel was extremely trustworthy."

"Then we should have some storm very soon." Walter turned away from the window and made big movements with his hands. "Very, very soon."

Lance smiled as he fed Lovey a few more crumbs. "So, I saw you and the new girl in the lab were really chatting it up earlier."

Walter avoided making eye contact with the older agent. "Oh you saw that?"

"We all saw it Walt."

"I-it's nothing! Honestly! Nia is just a good friend."

"Uh-huh."

"She is! Just like Marcy is good friends with you."

Lance stiffened and blushed.

"Ha!" Walter pointed at Lance's face. "I knew it!"

The older agent pushed his hand away. "Since Miss Nia is such a 'good friend', what did she study in school?"

"Chemistry."

"A chemist. Nice."

"Yeah." Walter turned to his friend. "And you know what they say about chemists?"

"What?"

"They're always working with solutions," the younger agent responded as he finger gunned toward his friend.

Lance face palmed a moment later when he got the joke.

"I'm sorryhy, Ihim sorry," Walter giggled. "Couldn't resihist. But that wasn't as bad ahas whehen she compared me and her to a thermostat and a graduated cylinder."

"Why was she comparing you to---?"

"Becuase I may have graduated, but she has more degrees."

While Walter laughed at his own joke, Lance gave him a deadpan look. "Really?"

"Hey, you got the last two! That's two more than when we first met."

Lance swiped the binoculars. "Just keep those jokes to a minimum."

"Oh come on, everyone loves a good Science pun." Walter nudged his friend's side. "Even grumpy secret agents like yourself."

"I don't like them." The older agent ruffled his friend's hair. "Only nerds like you like them."

Walter ducked out of the hair ruffle. "You just haven't heard any good ones yet. Oo! Like what do life coaches and protons have in common?"

"Walter."

"They both know how to stay positive."

Lance rolled his eyes.

"That one was weak. A better one would be---."

"None. That would be a better one."

"No, it's what is a pirate's favorite element?"

Lance pinched the bridge of his nose.

Meanwhile, Walter held up one finger like a hook while he squeezed one eye shut. "Arrrrrgon."

"Walter, stop telling Science jokes, or you're going to get it."

"Get what?"

"I haven't decided yet, but when I think of it, you're not going to like it."

"Weeeeell, why you decide . . . What did the proton say to the electron to start a fight? I'm sick of your negativity."

Lance set down the binoculars on the dashboard.

"Why were oxygen, hydrogen, and carbon wearing suits and ties? Cause they were a formyl group."

He then took a deep breath.

"If the Silver Surfer and Iron Man teamed up, what would that make them? Alloys."

Lance then turned to glare at his younger friend.

"Why couldn't the geologists think of the joke?" Walter stuck out his tongue. "It was on the tip or her tungsten."

"You just love to irritate me, don't you?"

"Irritate you? I'm making this stake out more enjoyable with Science puns."

"Enjoyable is a stretch."

"Why can you never---?"

"That's it." Lance reached over to dig into his friend's side.

Walter squealed and instantly pulled himself to the side closest to the door. "Lance!"

"It's either this or I eject you out of the car," the older agent explained as he kept tickling the younger agent's side.

Walter squirmed under Lance's hand. "Hohow abohout neitheher!"

Lance jumped to Walter's other side to tickle there. "Then how will you know not to tell anymore corny Science puns, huh?"

"Buhut thehere funnyhy!"

"To you, not to me."

Walter pushed the older agent's hand up above his head. "Come ohon Lahance, yohou're telling mehe yohou don't like a litthele Sulfur, Argon, Calcium, and Samarium?"

"A little what now?"

"Sulfur, Argon, Calcium, Samarium, ohor SArC---."

Lance interrupted Walter's spelling by using his other free hand to attack his stomach. "Hey, what did I just say?"

The younger agent instantly curled up into a ball in the passenger seat. "Cohome ohon Lahance, wehe're ohon ahan ihimportahant missihion!"

Lance managed to get both hands spidering along Walter's sides. "Yeah, but we're still in the calm before the storm."

The younger agent tried to push Lance's hands back up into the air, but each time he got one up, the second one would attack another spot. He couldn't get them both away and defend himself at the same time.

He thought he had them both up at one point before Lance twisted his wrists and got himself free. One hand gripped both of Walter's wrists while the other attacked his armpits.

The younger agent cackled as he tried to curl away but promptly ran into the door. "AH! LAHANCE!"

"Do you promise to stop making Science jokes?"

"YES!"

Lance paused. "Pinky promise?"

Walter nodded. "Yehes! Both ohof thehem!"

"Glad we could come to an agreement."

"Agent Sterling," Marcy's voice appeared. "Come in Agent Sterling."

Lance let Walter go to check his comm. "Sterling here."

"Our motion detector is picking up movement in the building. Do you see anyone?"

The older agent grabbed the binoculars and took a peek. He could just make out the shadow of a man creeping around inside. "I see him."

"Approach slowly and cautiously. We don't know what he's armed with."

"We'll let you know what we find. Sterling out." Lance turned to Walter. "Ready?"

The younger agent nodded as the last couple giggles slipped out. "Readyhy."

"Alright." Lance stepped out of the car. "Stay close and stay hidden. Let's aim for no injuries this time."

Walter followed the older agent. "Hey, last time was you."

"Cause I was saving your butt." Lance ruffled his hair. "Now, come on."

Both agents kept to the shadows as they headed toward the building.

3. Hello I'm looking for a fic: I think it was a thread fic for Dark LZ Weekend. It had postcanon WY waking up to a dark LZ who'd travelled from a parallel universe (I think). He traps the real LZ in his original timeline, and tries to take over his life. WY ofc realises immediately but doesn't want to hurt him because it is revealed that the dark Lan Zhan has time travelled from the 13 year period of WY's death. He had just been punished with the whip strikes and the grief of losing WY had turned him desperate.

Lan zhan decides that he does not want to live eternaly and he ages with wei ying. Lan zhan is sharing his spiritual energy with wei ying and this way he ie sustaining the both of them until he finally runs out of it and one day they lay in bed and they die together in the jingshi. Writober day 28: Another spies in disguise one-shot.

This one is happening post-movie, a scene that I wish we had in the actual movie: Walter’s reaction when he returns to his house, see it destroy and with it, some items he had to remember his mother, Wendy Beckett (RID madame, you were one of the best mom.) Told  through Walter and Lance P.O.V.

Walter sighed in relief, he was finally alone with Lovey, Jeff and Crazy Eyes, not that he didn’t like Lance’s presence, he loved it. He loved every second he spent with Lance during these days, trying to find Killian and stopped his plan which they did. And now he had a better job in the agency, he was the leader of a new team and a spy too. He will be always grateful to Joy for giving him another chance and a big one.

He was happy but once Lance left with his car, going back to his own home, Walter’s smile disappeared. He denied Lance’s proposal to bring him back to his home, a home that everyone seemed to have forgotten it was destroyed when Marcy and her team were searching for Lance, thinking he was a traitor.

The young scientist took his time, he wasn’t in a hurry and the sun was still high in the sky. despite being the afternoon. Sometimes Lovey was nuzzling against his cheek, Jeff and Crazy were trying to cheer him up by doing something dumb or imitating Lance when he was in his pigeon form. Walter appreciated it but he didn’t have the strength to smile, he wasn’t even listening to his favourite K-drama, Hearts in Seoul. He only had a heavy heart and memories playing in his head, memories with his mother.

His house was important because this is where he lived with his mom and his grandma before it became his when they both passed away. His mother, Wendy Beckett, died when she was in duty and his grandmother died of old age. Those were his worst days and he is sure today will be the third one. Finally and after a few hours of walking to clear his mind, he was in front of his home as the moon and a starry sky were appearing.

“See that Lovey ? We’re back home.” he said with a sad tone while the three pigeons were looking at him, Lovey being the most worried for her human. The human and the pigeons noticed that a floor of the house was missing.

She knew what was going to happen the moment Walter found the only things that reminded him of his mother. And she was ready to be there for him when he’ll break, she even cooed to Jeff and Crazy Eyes, telling them to be with her when the smart adult will need to be comforted.

Walter tightly held his backpack and readjusted it before to walk towards his home and see by himself all the damages Marcy and her team did. Before he could even open it, the door fell on the ground and Walter felt his eyes were burning but he held his tears back. He mustn’t break, he doesn’t need to break. He walked in his house, pieces of glasses breaking under his feets.

“There’s a lot of clean up to do…” he noted as he saw his bedroom being on the first floor of his house, the kitchen was a complete mess. The couch was the only thing that was spared and it was in the lounge. At least, he will have something where he could sleep. A cooing caught his attention, he turned around and he saw his three birds around the most important part of his house or was supposed to be.

It really showed that Marcy didn’t have any idea of who he was before the whole treason thing, that he was just the “weird” kid that nobody wanted to talk with and who had his office next to the toilet. The weird kid that nobody accepted because of the way he was thinking and what kind of gadgets he was working on. Walter isn’t preaching violence, hatred but everyone has his limits and he feels like he is about to lash out to anything. Instead he gritted his teeths and kneeled down before what was supposed to be the shrine he made for his mother.

There was the mug of coffee he broke the day his mother hugged him for the last time and glue back together but now it was completely broken, a picture with him and his mother, another picture of him when he received the flag when they buried Wendy and the last item was the flag which was framed. Walter took the flag and the first picture in his hands and went to the couch, the pigeons following him and Lovey taking her usual spot on his shoulder. 

Jeff and Crazy Eyes were on his lap once he sat up and finally the dam breaks and Walter with it. He hugged the two precious items as he cried, the three pigeons trying to comfort him as best as they can while they secretly asked for help. For the help of the greatest spy/pigeon of the world.

Lance Sterling had the best day of his life if he forgot the part he was temporarily fired along with Walter. But a new team, team weird as they decided to call themselves, was formed because Joy wanted to create a new department with new ways of fighting and she decided to appoint Walter as the leader of this new team.

Lance couldn’t be happier for his friend, he finally had a reputation in the agency and could achieve his dreams which is to fight fire with a hug and not fight fire with fire. The world can become a better place and Sterling will be damn if he doesn’t help his partner, they have each other back. 

However he wanted to apologize to the young scientist for his rude words when they were in the boat, heading to Venice. It was obvious the kid had a reason to act like he did or wanted to do things in a different way but Lance didn’t care until Marcy revealed that Walter’s mother was shot as she did her duty as a police officer. He understood his friend had it rough too, Lovey was his emotional support for a reason and Wendy’s Beckett death was this reason.

So Lance thought he could offer to the scientist to stay at his house for the night, he was sure he was going to accept but he understood why Walter wanted to stay alone for tonight. So many things happen in these last days, he probably needs time to process all he lived in a short amount of time like his two experiences that almost cost his life or the fact he gained an important post for the agency. 

Currently Lance was in his Audi, driving to get back to his house. It was a little away from the city but not too much, he loved to rest in a peaceful place away from people and the agency after a long day of work and a few successful missions. It wasn’t the biggest or richest house but he was sure people could be easily jealous if they ever saw his house however they can’t enter it easily. As the world’s greatest spy, he has a lot of enemies but they can be sure they will have difficulties before they reach him if they ever dare to attack his house. Weapons were hidden in every room if there’s an intruder.

The spy was almost at his house when he received a message but a message from Lovey. The pigeon used the private contact Walter put on her when they stopped Killian’s plan by “walterizing” him like Lance called it. And the best thing is her cooing is translated in human language and vice-versa. Walter said it was a prototype and he needed to work on it so it could be much more effective and more accurate but he still put her contact in Lance’s list. That kid really had the weirdest but greatest ideas ever, if he could do that with birds then he could do it with other animals which would be great.

However Lance was now worried because of the message sent by the lady bird, it says he needed to come to her human’s house and pick them up. The older spy tried to think why Lovey asked him that while Walter refused to come with him. Walter’s house was fine…

“Oh no…. Call Marcy Kappel.” he said to his car and after the phone rang a few times, Marcy answered.

“Sterling ? What’s wrong ? Did we forget something ?”

“It depends on your answer. You remember you destroyed Walter’s house before we had a car’s chase in the city.”

“Yes.”

“Did you rebuild it ? Or ask a company to rebuild it ?”

“Shit… Sterling, where’s Beckett ?”

Lance didn’t answer, instead he turned on his car, activated his GPS and hurried up. Laws didn’t matter when his partner needed help however Marcy was also under the shock.

“What did I do ? He saw too much, he lost his mother and what did I do ? I went there and destroyed his only safe place where no one can treat him badly. I destroyed the house of an orphan boy.”

“Hey Marcy, listen to me, listen to my voice. You did nothing wrong, you just did your job. You came to his house because he called the agency, telling you I was in his house. He didn’t know you were accusing me for treason at this time.”

“But when he called us, I should have consulted his file, that’s the procedure to follow. When someone new is implied in an investigation, the first thing you have to do as a member of the internal affair is to read the files of this person, professional and personal files ! And I outright ignored this rule.”

“Marcy, what’s done is done, you can’t change the past but you can change the future. The kid did it by giving a second chance, a second chance at life to Robo-hand. If it’s possible for a criminal then it’s possible for someone like you.”

“Where did you learn that ?”

“From Walter himself. That boy can turn everyone into a soft and happy person in mere seconds. Have a few days alone with him and you can be sure he will change you.”

“Someone knows what he is talking about…”

“Yeah… Sorry Marcy but I have to cut our talk short. I’m there.”

“Lance… Take care of him for tonight.”

“I will.”

Lance hung up, got out of his car and he saw how bad Walter's house was. He couldn't believe he forgot about it and let the scientist go back there, alone. The spy walked slowly, he looked to the street in which Walter lived and he realized something: he couldn’t believe no one called someone for the house. Sterling wondered if people stopped supporting Walter after his mother died or if the young adult let no one approach him as he was focused on his studies and inventions until he got a job in the agency.

The spy shook his head, it wasn’t time to think about that or the past, he said it himself to Marcy and he should follow his own advice. He took a deep breath before going to the house, hoping he would find the boy easily. And he did but it felt so wrong, he heard snobs and sniffles which he should have never heard from Walter, it is breaking his heart. Unknown instincts kicked in and Lance threw out any cautions in case someone was following him or someone was threatening Walter. He walked in the corridor of the first floor and called for his friend.

“Walter, you’re there ?”

“Lance ?” called out the scientist with a hoarse voice.

The spy turned his head where he heard the voice and Lance sincerely hopes he will never find Walter in this state ever again. His friend was withdrawing into himself, his knees were close to his chest but not entirely and he was holding and hugging something in his hands. Lovey was looking at Walter with sad and worried eyes, the two other pigeons were only looking between Walter and Lance.

“What are you doing here ?”

“I suddenly remembered that your house was in a… debatable state and that you end up hurting yourself by staying there. Physically or emotionally hurt.”

“I’m okay, Lance, I’m okay. I just need…”

“Walter, you’re not okay and I don’t know how long you weren’t but… you’re not alone, you have friends. You have me, Marcy, Ears, Eyes, even Joy now. You have support, you have us and you can count us.” he put his hand on Walter’s shoulders to make his words real.

“Really ?” Lance noted the hopeful tone Walter had and he wasn’t sure if it was a good thing or not. 

But it confirmed his suspicions: Walter didn’t have physical contact with human beings for years, might as well consider him as a touch starved person who doesn’t hesitate to initiate contact with someone if this person is important to him. And he was reminded of this fact when Walter hugged him again as a piece of paper fell on the ground. The rays of light from the moon clear up the paper and Lance saw it was a picture taken when Walter was younger and his mother was still alive.

Don’t worry Miss Beckett, he’ll be okay now.
